Hello everyone,

1.) Firstly I would like to appreciate your efforts here. You all are doing a great job. Please I will so appreciate meeting anyone here who is currently in Melbourne studying especially at Deakin University.

2.) I have a question to the general house- my wife’s 4month+ pregnant, will be studying at Deakin Uni July intake. Is it advisable that she declares her pregnancy during medicals? Will this not affect her visa chances?
..

From my experience its safer to declare everything with Australia immigration. I was pregnant when I applied and i stated it in my GTE. The only thing is I couldn't do my chests xray till I had my baby just few weeks before grant came so please declare all
You can... I stand to be corrected though.

I cant believe my Journey to Australia has finally come to pass with my Visa Grant Yesterday.. After attempting Australia PR, getting ITA, Applying for the visa only to bag 2 NJL consecutively... then finally withdrawing the application to avoid a ban..

Decided to try Student route last year, Applied 21 September, request for medicals January 12.. Medical uploaded Feb 8, Visa GRANTED, FEB 9...

Words fail me indeed.. What God cannot do does not exist...TO THOSE WHO KEEP PUSHING AND TRUST GOD, EVERYTHING GOOD WILL EVENTUALLY COME..

Can't believe the borders are finally open again! I finished my undergraduate at Curtain University in Perth in film studies in 2017, I have been wanting to go back for my master's. I had used an agent for my previous student visa application as I am also very busy with work to have the time to sort my application myself I will most likely be using them again, would recommend if anyone is also looking

The education agent: https://www.educationone.net.au/

And their migration agent partner: https://onederland.com.au/

Just out of curiosity is anyone else planning on going to Perth, I really enjoyed my time at Curtain and the city really became a 2nd home for me. It would be nice to make some friends and have a community there.

Im actually using them too. I must commend they are quite good.. May God answer our prayers and bless us with speedy grants. Amen

Wow really, I have just gotten my grant through them and they did a good job for me, the thing is that most of the Universities now request for a lot of documentation and you really need to be ready especially for Australia, once you provide all your documentation to the school you won't have any problem with the visa application...and they have me an option of different universities I just made my choice.
...

Is there anyone currently studying in UTAS? Please come to my aid, I need your guidance.

I was asked to submit my own savings account 3 months statements stating that my sponsor’s funds will be regarded as secondary. I would like to if:
1. There is any implication if I don’t have much in my own saving’s account?
2. Is there any reason why they are referring my sponsor’s fund as secondary ?

Is it the school or home affairs that asked you? Not sure if UTAS is a tier 1 school that may be the reason. Not sure though.

Guys please help me ooo.

Hello Guys, my grant just came in today!!!!
Thanks to everyone who has contributed on this thread one way or the other on this thread. It has helped immensely.
My time line:
Submitted application-31st July 2019
Conditional offer- 15th July 2019
CoE- 24th November 2019
Biometrics- 27th December 2019
Submitted Visa Application- 25th January 2020
IELTS Score- 7.0 (I had a minimum band score of 7.0 so my average was 7.0). I got a waiver from the school so I didn't need IELTS for school admission. My agent advised I write one for visa so I did.
School- Flinders University
Sponsor's account: My maternal uncle. Submitted 2 bank statements. One had 18m and the other was a fixed deposit account that matures every 30days. It had 13m.
Course- Social work (masters)
BSc- Microbiology

Submitted my credentials, letter from sponsor, proof of relationship to sponsor (uncle & Mum's NPC) and sponsor's account statement. I didn't submit payslips or my account statement sha.
Challenges faced: I already had an MSc in Microbiology so applying for a second masters was what I had to prove. Plus, with Social Work being a high risk course I had to write a convincing SOP. (I can share that with anyone interested cos mehn this took me like a month to write). My work experience was also a bonus cos I work as a care assistant.
Sometime in December the bank statement I used for the school admission could no longer be used cos he had to move the funds to another bank for investment reasons. He had to submit another letter to this effect. He also had to back it up with the fixed deposit account.
School resumes on Monday so if anyone could help with flight and accommodation links, I'd be most grateful.

Thank God!!!!!!!

Please I sent u a DM.. Congratulations again
