You are on the wrong tangent, in your logic a satelite  and "proposals" is enough to say Gadaffi was a hero? You failed to see the imperialism because he had you fooled.
He most definitely is a hero for putting 400 million dollars on the table towards the one off purchase of a satellite system which has enabled ungrateful ba.stards like yourself make cheap phone calls to and from africa - had it not been for the purchase of this satellite - we africans would still  be paying $500 million a year  (excluding interest) to your white slave masters - are you that devoid of common sense that you dont see the benefit to the entire african continent and diaspora?  Or should we have gone to the IMF to borrow the money for this  - or are you that much of a fuc.king slowpoke?

now with regard to the creation of the african monetary fund it was to be implemented early 2011  and suprise suprise that is when NATO decided to launch their brutal attack on libya thereby smashing any possibility of this ever seeing the light of day - if your brain is capable of doing this - ponder the amount of money that europe and america would lose as a result of africa's disengagement from the IMF.

infact all the finishing touches to this african monetary fund had been completed by 2006 and it was just the implementation which had been earmarked for early 2011.

In addition a central african bank was also to be set up in abuja, nigeria which would serve as a bank printing one african currency backed by gold and this would mean that the francophone african countries would be able to scrap their use of the CFA franc which france has used for decades to exploit and control their economies
all of these proposals were to be implemented THIS YEAR.
Now slave, open your st.upid eyes for once in your miserable life and see that what Qadaffi was doing was FREEING AFRICA FROM ITS ECONOMIC ENSLAVEMENT TO EUROPE AND AMERICA NOT EXPLOIT IT LIKE YOUR MASTERS HAVE BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST 5 CENTURIES.

So an apology by Gadaffi make it ok? We need to trust them now do we? Dose Gadaffi represent North Africa and the Middle East? Or was he an Arab reject?   Learn from history and don't be so gullible.  Learn to deal with and trust your own people first.
Hang on so because only Qadaffi made the apology that automatically means that it cant be genuine, perhaps we africans should have rejected his apology until a delegation from the gulf states decided to also tender their own apologies, the europeans have tendered no apology but you seem quite content to trust them - your leaders are doing a roaring trade with them, signing bilateral agreements allowing thme to come to nigeria and buy up our land, resources, former govt owned utitlities and i dont hear you screaming about that so why the sudden need to open your eyes now - YOU ARE A BIG FOOL who can not differentiate between who are your friends and your enemies.

this is all history that I am well aware of, you seem to be full of self-hatred, talking about African collusion and as a result you now worship an Arab (Your oppresor) as your hero.  He is the same blood as the NTC but – oh he was special – rubbish!
I worship an arab because i acknowlege all the progressive things he did in africa, i would rather do that than be a pathetic self loathing scum bag who hates his african identity so much he uses jamaican patois as his user name - how sad is that - jamaicans dont even like africans - fool!

Buhari was no democrat, did you live under his rule?
did you hear me say Buhari was a democrat fool - i merely recognised his unwillingness to take on more Imf loans.

poor you!
but not half as tragic and full of self loathing as you wanna be jamaican  grin

You keep mentioning Gadaffis weaknesses then quickly skipping away and comparing him to either Europeans or the NTC.  Why were the Libyans so hostile that they would take to the streets and murder hundreds of black Africans? What had gadaffi instilled in them for 42 years to make them feel that way? Thousands of black africans had to be evacuated and President Rawlings went there himself to airlift Ghanaians.
Qadaffi was a human being therefore i did not expect perfection from him - you of all people who is very far from being perfect should know that.

If you think that the arab hatred of blacks had anything to do with Qadaffi then yoiu are a bigger fool than i thought, hatred of black africans has been embedded in the arab psyche primarily as a result of the trans saharan slave trade  - they enslaved us and therefore they look at us with contempt  - that is the same way europeans have deep contempt for blacks because they also enslaved blacks - so you can deceive yourself all you want but europeans hate you just as much as arabs do.  Qadaffi on the other hand was different, many of his bodyguards and senior military officials were from the fezzan tribe which is predominantly black.
If Qadaffi was a racist why did he finance the ANC, why did Nelson Mandela ignore the protestations of europe and america and visit Qadaffi to thank him for helping to bring down the racist apartheid govt of south africa.

But hey, its 2011 and lets sweep hundreds of years of slavery and millions of deaths at the hands of north africans and lets forget the land and the resources in it and worship an Arab Dictator because he wanted to pay for a $500 million satellite, made proposals and said sorry – thats CHEAP as hell!
But you've been quite content to sweep the european involvement in the transatlantic slave trade  under the carpet and worship your european oppressors who have made zero effort to show any remorse for what they did, at least Qadaffi reached out to make amends for the past which by the way he had no control over.

The same gadaffi demanded an apology from Italy for its colonial oppression and ordered them to pay him 5 Billion dollars.  That was from 1911 to 1943 so how many hundred years did the Arabs enslave Africans for? I guess he took 10% and offered it to the gullible Negroes as compensation for hundreds of years – how CHEAP.
but as i said above there is no point showing moral indignation towards Qadaffi when you have been content to fight over the few crumbs the europeans have thrown you by running to europe to  do the jobs that their own people dont want.  what have you done to free yourself from your current mental and economic enslavement to your european opppressors?

The NTC are the same as gadaffi, Gadaffis wife is from benghazi too.  The only difference is that they will not play games with Libyan resources when it comes to the west.  If they do their as.z will get bombed out too.
Oh i get it you saw Qadaffi as playing games with your western masters simply because he was unwilling to allow western oil companies to exploit his people - now i see what sort of shameless low life you are.
you prefer the wealth of libya to be under the control of  murderous savages aka the NTC rather than a man who looked out for the best interest of his people - shame on you - you are nothing more than a enslaved loser.

Africa has been divided before you was born.  Try to think creatively, look within, work with what exists rather than waiting for a utopia and quit worshiping foreigners who don't give a flying fu<k about you.
shut your stinking trap - you are in no position to dole out advise to anyone as you have the white man's balls rammed so far down your throat your practically gagging, you are nothing but an enslaved coon and you will die a white man's bit.ch- you are the reason that other races look at black people with nothing but contempt - Zap off.

I've restrained myself and tried to be polite but its obvious that your lack of home training is now revealing itself - if there is anyone on here that is a "nigga" or a slave i can confidently say you fit those descriptions.

Of course you wont accept an arab as a hero becasue you are too busy saying yazzah boss to your white slave master, tragic coon.

nolongTing:
White men and men of other races see black women as a step down, they also find black women scary with too much social and emotional baggage.  Whereas some black men find White women a step up in class and an enhancement to their social status.

The truth is black men are seen as the Ultimate male "physically" whilst white women are seen as the "ultimate beauty" this makes black men and white women very attractive to all races.

Unfortunately most black men mistake "physical masculinity" for "real masculinity".

So black women are at the end of the queue when it comes to dating in the western hemisphere. This leaves them with low self-esteem and makes it even more difficult for them to get married.
You sound like you have no self respect or self love and i sincerely pity any black female child that is unfortunate enough to have someone like you as a father.

Are you familiar with social conditioning and brainwashing? you sound like one of these black men who is in the most extreme stages of internalised racism or self hatred.

Your glorification of white women at the expense of your own women is tragic to behold - is this what you secretely think of your mother - do you see her as unattractive with low self esteem, do you have sisters are these the wise words you impart to them.

The irony of your tragic situation is that you are a victim - your white masters are the main beneficiaries of your self defeating attitude - they are the ones who control the media, advertising , the fashion industry - in a nutshell they are gaming with you without you even being consciously aware that they are doing so, your misplaced vanity has convinced you that all it takes to be a man is to have a big  dic.k and a smile - because that is how the black man is projected by the western media - a sexual savage with zero intelligence and like a fool you have fallen for it thinking that that image does you any favours, at teh same time they have taken the black woman and degraded her by putting the white woman on a pedestal and convinced you taht your own women are worthless - and like a fool you again have bought into that - but heres the secret its being done intentionally TO DESTROY YOU AND YOUR RACE SO THAT YOU CAN NEVER EVER HAVE THE SELF CONFIDENCE TO COMPETE WITH THE WHITE MAN ON ANY LEVEL - the white man has succeeded in taking away your land, your resources, your identity and now he wishes to exterminate you permanently by making your reject your own women - AND YOU'VE FALLEN FOR IT!!!!!

Look around you - who runs the world? the black man or the white man - how many black people do you see in positions of real power in the world?

Keep being a victim of white supremacy.
Romance › Re: Why Do Black Men Date Other Races And Why Can't Black Women Do The Same? by cap28: 8:18pm On Oct 23, 2011
I find it really sickening when some lowlife black men try to bring decent black men down to their level by claiming that black women are the least desired women - according to who ? first of all the only kind of black men who regurgitate this filth are neutered black men who have been beaten down by a system designed to destroy them and programmed to make them hate themselves, every self respecting black man who grew up in a decent home surrounded by decent black women will honour and respect any black woman he later meets in life, the only black men who treat their own women with contempt are these pathetic wasters who have been told time and time again that black = worthless, in a bid to cover up their agonising feelings of self hatred they try to take out their agony on the easiest targets they can find - black women.

My advice to these kind of black men - is please stop pedalling this lie - it was created by the white man in order to encourage more self hating blacks to stop procreating with their own women and therefore comitt race suicide.  Do you see men of other races referring to their own women as being the least desirable, i can assure you that you attract nothing but contempt and derision from men of other races who already look at the entire black race as a race of failures, this disgusting attitude is exactly what your detractors want you to do - most white people do not have anything positive to say about blacks and this type of behaviour only gives them more ammunition to convince themselves that they are superior to us.  We need to behave like the chinese, japanese, greeks and indians who respect their women.  European women are a dime a dozen and the low grade ones - which are usually the ones most black men are able to get are not even regarded by their own men as desirable anymore hence the major shift by white european men from dating them to dating and marrying  south east asian women.

Just to add - these beasts that you defend have devised numerous methods to bring about the demise of the black race - ask the african americans who know them better - ask them about how their african ancestors were dehumanised and psychollogicaly crippled by these satanic monsters.

I would like to refer you to National State Security Memorandum 200 (NSSM 200 1974)  in which the US govt go on record to recognise as government policy the need to DEPOPULATE CERTAIN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES that according to them pose a threat to the national security of the United States because of their large population and abundance of natural resources  - Nigeria is one of the countries on the list.

Former National Security Advisor under Nixon - Henry Kissinger recommends the use of war, famine, biological warfare and debt peonage as viable forms of population control of any of these so called offending nations.

There is no way in hell i could ever see these people as anything other than demons after reading that document - which i would advise you to read as it is STILL OFFICIAL GOVT POLICY in the United States.

I was not a fan of Gaddafi at all - I could see through his Arab imperialist motives, North Africa is stolen land as far as I am concerned.

In the year 2000 hundreds of “Black” Africans were killed, rapped and robbed in Libya, and thousands had to be airlifted back to their country, why? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/963215.stm My research revealed that the Libyans claimed that Nigerian drug gangs were selling drugs and promoting prostitution.  So they decided to go out and lynch all “Black Africans”.  So why are we now talking about Libya as if it was ever considered an African country? They considered themselves Arabs and Gadaffi was an Arab reject who wanted to imperialise Africa instead.  He sponsored rebels in Liberia and Sierra Leone, he sponsored the disgraceful Jammeh of Gambia to name a few – is that promoting unity?

Who do you consider to be the best African Historians (Scholars) of the last 6 decades?
If Qadaffi was the arab imperialist that you depict him to be explain why he did the following:

stumped up 400 million USD for an african satellite system which enabled all african nations to purchase their own satellite system and therefore no longer have to rent from europe at an eye watering cost of $500 million a year

propose a single african currency backed by gold  - the gold dinar which would have enabled africans to dictate and control the price at which they sold their commodities

propose an african monetary fund which would have served as a source from where african nations could borrow low interest loans thereby smashing the stranglehold that the IMF and the world bank have on the economy of all african nations and which has led to most african nations now being trapped in the IMF/world bank debt peonage programme for life.

proposed the creation of an african military which would be tasked with defending the territorial integrity of the entire african continent.

my understanding of imperialism is that it seeks to exploit, dominate and subjugate its victim not assist, and place on an equal footing.

do you prefer the current situation that africa is in which it is run by US/european puppets who implement the economic policies of washington and london?  do you prefer that to a united state of africa with full control over its own economic and political policies?

Do you prefer the current situation in which your leaders implement SAP policies designed to transfer land, foreign reserves and natural resources into the hands of the europeans and americans or do you not see that as imperialism.

do you prefer the coming recolonisation of the entire african continent by way of AFRICOM which is now as we speak underway - Obama has just recently deployed 100 "advisers" to Uganda under the pretext of capturing an unknown war lord who has been at large for over 20 years?  is that your preference?

The arabs were involved in the enslavement of africans - that i do not deny but are you aware that Qadaffi apologised for this heinous act on behalf of his people - lets contrast that with the europeans - to date have they apologised for slavery?  hell no - infact not only have they not apologised - they have even denied that they were to blame - they instead shifted the blame for slavery onto our african ancestors claiming that this heinous crime could never have occurred without the collusion of africans which is a disgusting lie, the truth of the matter is that the europeans have never seen us as human beings and they stil dont - when they sat down at their berlin conference in 1885 they carved up africa amongst themselves and they are still working according to that plan - they see the entire african continent as their personal property they dont give a shi.t about the people on the continent as a matter of fact they see us as being in the way of their objective and they intend to do something to ensure that we stop getting in their way, africa as far as they are concerned is nothing more than a source of cheap raw materials and any attempt by anybody to stop this from remaining the case is dealt with brutally - lets check all of the african leaders who have stood in the way of their plan:

patrice lumumba - assassinated by the belgians and the americans
kwame nkrumah - toppled by the americans
thomas sankara - assassinated by the french
nelson mandela - imprisoned for 27 years until he agreed to cut a deal allowing whites to retain control over south africa's economy

even the likes of buhari who refused to sink nigeria into more debt courtesy of the IMF was toppled by them

the thorn in their side was Muammar Qadaffi who for 20 years survived numerous assassination attempts from british and american intelligence services and yet i am supposed to see this man as less than a hero , sorry no, i cant.

The race riots you refer to in libya in 2000 were put down by Muammar Qadaffi almost immediately and all the culprits involved were sentenced to death and executed - that should show you that Qadaffi was a fair man who was not willing to tolerate such disgusting barbaric and racist behaviour from his people, lets contrast that with the current savages that are now in control of Libya - when they were rounding up blacks, driving them to slaughter houses and cutting off their heads as if they were cattle did you hear even a peep from any western media outlet? even a peep? hell no, and you know why because not only do they not give a sh.it about we africans but they are the ones who used their disgusting propaganda to peddle the lie that Qadaffi was using black africans as mercenaries knowing full well that this was a lie - they did this because they want to ensure that arabs in africa NEVER EVER UNITED with black africans to face the common enemy - THEM!!! that is how they operate - divide and rule - its time you understood who your real enemy is.

You don't leave after 3years i.e. if you have the continuing resource to it. If the cost/benefit is high, call them cowards, any wise general will exit and know it's NOT worth the fight. If he fought for three years (thanks for at least acknowledging it), Gadhafi fought for 8months, given the disparities, I think (all sentiments aside), I will stick with the one who fought bravely for three years.

@Eko Ile and Ist Citizen et al, I hear yall, you're entitled to your opinion; however, even if you ask western military generals, ALL, will tell you they have exit strategies to a WAR PLAN. If it please you, you can call it escape plan, whatever pleases you. Please you can re-write history and go on and give your advise to several battle commanders who have fought historical wars about your opinion. When someone decides to exit a war for which the outcome is unknown, that makes him a coward. If given the circumstance NOW, given the resource Gadhafi has now, it will be a different story.

If you lead people to war, casualties are INEVITABLE. I don't want to give examples, but like I said, war involves resources and loss of live to achieve the main objective. It's an unfortunate event but using that as a criteria is not justifiable, SORRY.
does a wise general also come back to join forces with the same people that butchered millions of his own people?

The Brother Leader tried and stood strong. But his military commanders miscalculated. They thought Nato would only stick to the No fly zone like they did to Saddam back in the 90's, not knowing that Nato and those rebel traitors had other agenda's in mind and that is to cripple Gaddafi by all means necessary. The West is afraid of an educated independent minded African Man . Whatever happened to sophisticated Surface to Air missiles? Why didn't they stockpile them in their arsenals? That would have brought down some Nato aircraft's and change public opinion in their home countries and far beyond. Or at least keep their silly aircraft at higher altitude and not to have the capability to identify targets on the ground. He knew the West have always had him in mind because he never gave them free access to plunder Libya's resources.

I wouldn't like to go further on here about that. I better reserve and improve the knowledge for future eventuality. This exploitation must not go on.
You speak and reason very intelligently and i have a lot of respect for your views.

The bolded says it all.  I would like to be an optimist and believe that we africans will not willingly accept meekly the plan for our extermination at the hands of the  europeans and the americans  because i beleive that that is their long term agenda.

I would like to beleive that this will never happen but again i cant help but feel disheartened when i look at how ignorant our people are.

a true revolutionary fights and dies for his cause - a true revolutionary does not embark on a revolution without understanding that he might have to die in the process, its either you are a true revolutionary and beleive in what you are fighting for or you are just another power hungry opportunist, it is quite obvious which category Ojukwu belongs to, there is no revolutionary leader that i know of that abandons their cause in order to save their life, even some of the most reviled and hated leaders like adolf hitler had the decency to take their own lives after leading millions of his own people to their own deaths, and yet we are expected to make an exception with Ojukwu who not only led  millions of his own people to their deaths but  HAD THE GUTS TO ABSCOND AND COME BACK TO JOIN FORCES WITH THE VERY PEOPLE WHO KILLED MILLIONS OF HIS OWN PEOPLE - where on earth have you heard of such a man being held up as a hero?  where? where?  only a complete fool would look at a man like that and accord him any iota of respect.

There is no comparison between Qadaffi a man who dared to challenge the might of europe and america, a man who chose death over european and american enslavement to Ojukwu who played russian roulette with millions of lives and then abandoned ship to save his own skin.

the final slap in the face of millions of igbos who died for this man was his alliance with all of those northern soldiers who massacred igbos with impunity - the likes of IBB, the late abacha, TY Danjuma are the people he now hob nobs with - the same people who massacred millions of igbos during the biafran war - i pray he gets his reward even in death.

The cold blooded murder of  Brother Leader Colonel Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, will never go unpunished. People who rejoiced of his death, the likes of Hilary Clinton and hypocrite Obama will never have rest of mind. They and other accomplices will pay for this dreadful act.  We will continue the fight to rid Africa of colonialist agenda.  We will protect Africa's resources for her children and bring those who conspire against us to justice. We will cut off the hand of those who collaborate with the west and banish those who betray Mama Africa.

During the rule of Brother Leader Colonel Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, Black Africans/Black Libyans had the same opportunity as their fellow Arab citizens. They could go anywhere, participate in everything and had equal rights. According to my friend who lived and worked in Libya, if anyone harassed a black man for no just cause, that person will have to face justice. Blacks were respected and giving their space. The Arab citizens were very envious and furious of this, because right from time, they have always considered themselves to be superior to black Africans. They call us slaves and refereed to non-Arab women as whores including western women. That is why when the war started , they unleashed their hatred on Blacks.

Now, all that have changed. Blacks are being hunted and killed with impunity by these so called "rebels". In today's Libya, Blacks are afraid to come out of their houses. Even to go out and get necessary things like food, they can't because for fear of being attacked. The western media and their "rebel" friends orchestrated a propaganda campaign to label anyone black in Libya as mercenaries. It worked for them and ever since our brothers have suffered in the hands of these terrorist(rebels) including Nigerians.  If it wasn't a CNN reported who came across a group of 7 Nigerians that were saying their last prayer before being taken to the killing field to be butchered, they would have been lying six feet under the ground as we speak. Even, Orji Uzo Kalu sent an appreciation letter to that reporter, thanking him for his selfless sacrifice, good conscience and making sure the Nigerians were in safe hands. We all knows what happened to others that were so unlucky

This is the New Libya those of you who come here celebrating the death of Brother Leader want. You are so ignorant of what is happening there. Your only source of information is via western media and you cannot independently question their reports because you have got no mind of your own. You are simply brainwashed and a traitor to your race and continent. You are your own worst enemy. You come here to spew unfounded rubbish because you are given scraps from their table and you seek for a residence permit in those western countries. Some of you in the diaspora who think you belong there, your day of reckoning is coming. It is no surprise that anytime there is an economic crises, blacks and other disadvantaged minorities are the first to be laid off. Why can't you free yourself from mental and slave mentality?  Oh, and you think the rebels are your friends because you support them? Well, since those of you who come here to defend and support them are blacks, I challenge you to go to today's Libya now and try to say that to their face that you have always supported their cause since the uprising. I will bet my everything, that you are 100% likely to be butchered or imprisoned in very bad condition by those rebels you call your innocent friends and have have always supported. Mark my words, henceforth, the black man who happens to be or go to Libya will always be treated as an animal and a suspect from now on.

The military commander of Tripoli was/is a a terrorist sympathizer and former jihad fighter for the Taliban and Osama in Afghanistan.  NATO have done a grave mistake that they will forever regret.  The people they have put in power will turn against them very soon. That is how the Arab mind works, they never appreciate anything. Their values deeply goes against western values and both will never reach a compromise.  Oh, the commander says that he will sue Britain and America for their hands in his torture. He alleged that Western intelligence partnered with Libyan Intelligence under Ghaddafi to carry on their so called war on terror.  You see, the game is just starting.  Gaddafi himself hated Islamic fundamentalists, he fought them tooth and nail and look for them in every nook and cranies. He was the first to mark Osama as a very dangerous man and a threat to the world.  Western leaders pallied with Gaddafi and sought his co-operation in every level. Now they have betrayed him. But they will pay the heavy price for this. I bet you, it is just a matter of time.

Brother leader was a man proud of his roots. He acknowledged that Libya belongs to black Africans and that the Arabs came and settled there. Those Arab leaders hated him for speaking the truth and isolated him. That is one of the reasons they endorsed the No fly zone.  He sought to make Africa independent in every endeavour. He invested in many African countries and contributed to their fight for Liberation. He had his faults and very eccentric. But tell me, who is perfect in this world? World leaders came to his tents, he never went to them unnecessary. His first visit to the USA was in 2009 i think for the UN general assembly.  He visited Italy( former Libya colonial master) once through out his rule. If a Libyan was harassed outside of Libya, he made sure those responsible pay for it. He was the first leader to call on the western countries to pay Africa 7.7 trillion dollars for their role in Colonialism and slavery. He was derided by European leaders for allowing Africans to cross to Europe via Libya. He told them that until Europe stop their dirty dealings in Africa and let Africans take care of themselves, the influx of immigrants to Europe will continue.

A strong man, A man of his words. A fighter. You must treat him as an equal or phuck off. He brought pride to his people and made their life the best in Africa and one of the best in the world. A soldier who took reigns of a huge poor country like Libya from western puppet King Idris at a young age of 27.  A leader murdered in cold blood. Those rebel terrorist would have never had a chance against Gaddafi if it wasn't for NATO air raids.

A man of dignity brother leader you are. A man who chose death over slavery.  What is a man without dignity?

Rest in Peace Brother Leader Colonel Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi
may God bless you my brother

I beleive we are now entering an era which is unprecedented - an era in which the satanic forces of the US govt now openly rule the world that we live in, a world where soveriegn nations can be invaded and overthrown , crushed and destroyed leaving death and destruction in their wake. We live in a world where a head of state can be murdered in cold blood in full view of the whole world and people merely accept it as the norm - this is a terrrible omen and i beleive much worse is to come.

The question now is who will be next in africa , the dominoes are falling one by one, first it was ivory coast, now libya some are saying algeria, sudan, zimbabwe and eritrea , the US have already sent troops to uganda under the pretext of flushing out a little known war lord by the name of joseph kony, a man who they ignored for 20 years despite the fact that he was on their terrorist list and was killing and maiming members of the civilian population.

will we ever regain consciousness from our collective coma or is it too late?

I still dont understand how NOI is a puppet of world bank. How is Nigeria's money going to world bank? (Somebody should tell me). From all I know, Nigeria has had more benefits from WB than WB has had from Nigeria. Practically, she's one of the best economist in the world (I know some will raise their eye brows, but that's a fact). I'm sure she has a good plan for the economy. We just need to be more informed of them. Let's focus on the positives.

For the poster moving to Benin Republic. grin grin grin Beninhuhhuhhuh?? I want to believe that's a joke. Nigeria is not that bad. Business men in Benin want to move to Nigeria instead. Besides, as a business man, you should know the demerits of doing business in a foreign land, especially when its manufacturing.
western international banking corporations like the world bank and IMF loan money to third world countries to enable them carry out multi million dollar infrastructure projects - the only problem is the loans come with various conditions attached eg: devaluation of your currency, privatisation of govt owned companies which are then sold to foreign investors at grossly reduced prices, the loans also come with massive interest rates which always go up never down so that borrowers sometimes never repay what they borrowed in the first place - this is known as debt slavery or debt peonage - which is a cunning way of keeping african economies enslaved economically. Nigeria is currently adhering to the conditions of the various loans they borrowed many years ago - loans which they repaid ten times over - there is no way out of this mess apart from refusing to honour these conditions - this is why okonjo iweala was sent in by the US to ensure that nigeria implements the conditions that they signed up to when they borrowed all those loans - she is a stooge and traitor.

okonjo iweala a messiah - thats the joke of the century, i dont know why all of you are crying now - the pain hasnt even started yet, you voted in a man who is beholden to western international banks and oil companies so what do you expect, everything that is about to happen to you was agreed a long time ago, GEJ is not even running nigeria - the IMF and Shell are - they dictate the economic policies and GEJ and Okonjo Iweala implement them, they are nothing more than glorified managers of western corporations, there is absolutely nothing you can do now to stop what is about to happen, apart from rising up - but how many of you are ready to die?

Anyway GEJ will send the troops to shoot anyone who rises up - its out of his hands anyway - had you put aside your ignorance and tribalism and voted in Buhari this would not have happened - read up on Buhari's record with the IMF - he is the only nigerian head of state who refused to accept debt slavery under the IMF and world bank debt peonage programme during his very brief tenure in office in the 1980s.

oh well, its too late now - they say you get the leaders you deserve - you've certainly got the one you deserve so you might as well live with the consequences.

Ojukwu - most definitely never had balls of steel and infact betrayed the igbos in the end by refusing to fight to the death  like all heroes - to make matters worse he even switched sides after being allowed back into the country and joined forces with the very people who caused the death of millions of his own people.

Gadaffi was a revolutionary leader who freed his people from european/american imperialism, improved their  standard of livng and chose death rather than enslavement under america and europe.

Ojukwu = sell out, opportunist and betrayer.

of course!! most of those nigerians in libya were making the kind of money that they could only dream of making in "democratic" nigeria.

@Olodostein

The aim of western governments is to bring down the big nations of Africa(namely Libya, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria and Nigeria) and the process has already begun. They already had meetings resemble the one they had in 1884-85 tagged Berlin Conference (Regulated European colonization and trade in Africa) to cause conflicts and wars in Africa and kickstart the project "Scramble for Africa" and crushing the influence of the Chinese in Africa. Second colonisation of Africa could be stopped infact it could be totally annihilated but the reality is that we've got alot of work to do. Before I proceed in my own suggestions, I want to reach out to all Africans on this forum ( this is because I have seen people argue blindly and supporting NATO invasion while some were against but the fact is this that those that suppport NATO invasion did lack appropriate information to make them understand the behaviours of the western world towards Africa) that we can never become a friend of the western nations because they are not interested to accept black into the real world of humanity and it is like a decree or constitution which was binded by their founding fathers. That is why if we are not very careful I can assure African continent that we will soon enter another era of slavery that is direct and open.

I have couple of ideas and proposals but for those who are interested, I will only say we should find a way to reach out to each other and discuss them. Of course I can make them public but not everyone here is interested in change for changes to come to Nigeria and Africa as a whole. So many people have given up on Africa even our leaders have been threatened to stop development of their respective countries or do what they say either from Washington, London or Paris.

If not because of the WW2 that caused the collapsed of European empire, so many nations in Africa will never dream of independence talkless of getting them from their European colonial masters. The reality on ground is that white people have studied Africans and they discovered that we are not united and they increase the spirit of disunity by causing conflicts and poverty in Africa through so many means of trade protectionisms and blockage of technology transfer. We have seen how NATO used their military force to destroy Libya economy and her infrastructure which will drag them backward for another 50years. Ghadaffi refused to take orders from the WEST that is why he was killed and he had alot of ambitions that will unite Africa and bring peace and real sovereignty to Africa but he was killed by NATO missile on a broad daylight in this modern day Information age and we are saying that we are under the United Nations, my people that is a fallacy.

We are the architect of our own fortune and misfortune and if we come together now, we can still make a change and bring development to Africa, our only home, our root so that the coming generations will not ask us when they are force again to wash plates for white people, sweep Their streets, wash th bottom of their aged fathers and mothers, clean their toilets and stop us to even develop back home on our land so that we will not even think of returning back. Poverty in Africa is Materialism in the WEST!
i agree with practically everything you've said but my question is this - how can any african nation now escape total recolonisation when in nigeria alone we are not united? how do you overcome your enemy when you can not even unite with those that you share one country with? its impossible.

Secondly how do you defend yourself without a decent military? Libya was a hundred times better equipped than nigeria militarily but the air power from nato was just too overwhelming - which african country can defeat that?

THE WORST DEMOCRACY IS BETTER THAN DICTATORSHIP!
how did you work that out?

lets see nigeria has been operating a so called democracy since 1999 and yet the standard of living of its citizens continues to decline year after year.

the latest goodies in store for nigerians is the removal of the fuel subsidy which will reduce most already impoverished nigerians to near destituion and yet to you the worst democracy is better than dictatorship.

so  you think just becuase they allow you to vote in a new set of theives every 4 years you are better off than a people who live under one repressive rule for decades.

My dislike of Biya has nothing to do with his lengthy tenure in office but more to do with the fact that he has done nothing to improve the standard of living of the camerounian people, he recently went on a shopping spree with that masquerade looking wife of his and spent an eye watering 800,000 euro whilst in france - and yet the majority of camerounians live like nigerians in grim poverty. no wonder so many of them escaped to a better life in libya (just like many nigerians).

Im amazed that some nigerians actually think we  are better off than camerounians under biya, what is the difference between cameroun's form of dictatorship and nigeria's? simple - cameroun has had  one tyrant ruling over them for decades while nigeria rotates its own tyrants, as a matter of fact we've improved because now we get to elect our own tyrants who continue to degrade, exploit and abuse us but no matter how badly they treat us we always forgive them and elect another set every 4 years, at least now we can elect tyrants from different ethnic groups unlike before when we were stuck with tyrants from the north only - now thats what i call democracy grin

Let's take a look at the other dictators from around the planet who are fortunate enough to be on Uncle Sam's good side.

1. Paul Biya, Cameroon

Biya has ruled Cameroon since winning an “election” in 1983. He was the only candidate, and did pretty well, getting 99 percent of the vote.

According to the country's Wikipedia entry, “The United States and Cameroon work together in the United Nations and a number of other multilateral organizations. While in the UN Security Council in 2002, Cameroon worked closely with the United States on a number of initiatives. The U.S. government continues to provide substantial funding for international financial institutions, such as the World Bank, IMF, and African Development Bank, that provide financial and other assistance to Cameroon.”

Amnesty International details unlawful executions, journalists being thrown in jail and a host of other nasty business.

As part of a strategy to stifle opposition, the authorities perpetrated or condoned human rights violations including arbitrary arrests, unlawful detentions and restrictions on the rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly. Human rights defenders and journalists were harassed and threatened. Men and women were detained because of their sexual orientation.

most africans are fools - i say this because many of us are not intelligent enough to think for ourselves - an intelligent person has an inquisitve mind, an intelligent person does their own independent research.

what i cant understand is why we africans continue to use democracy as a template for african rule  when democracy doesnt even exist in its entirety in western countries, if america were a democratic nation how come it denied african americans the vote until 1968? infact not only were blacks denied the vote they were denied acces to the same level of education as whites, teh same quality of housing as whites, access to the same jobs as whites, access to the same quality of health care as whites - AND THIS WAS LEGAL!!! this was actually enshrined in their law - you can check up on all the  pre civil rights legislation and you will find so many laws which have now been repealed but which effectively legitimised the racial segregation of blacks in a nation built on the sweat and blood of africans.

even today black americans are not treated as equals and majority of them still face the same discrimination that their fathers and mothers faced before the civil rights movement, therefore why should such a nation which created and fought hard to keep such a system,  stand in judgement on any other nation let alone set the standard for other nations?

You only have to look at the type of leaders that america has financed and supported over the years to know that the word democracy means nothing to them - criminals, murderers, rap.ists, genocidal maniacs throughout history have been backed, armed and supported by the US govt and yet africans continue to deceive themselves into beleiving that democracy is the solution to their problems.

In my opinion i beleive that it is already too late for africa to free itself from western exploitation because militarily africa can not even defend itself from a NATO intervention - the first thing any nation should do in order to guarantee its freedom from exploitation from any external force is to build up a formidable army

we witnessed the courageous and valiant resistance that the libyans put up against a military machine made up of more than 40 european nations as well as the united states, canada, australia and new zealand, a tiny nation of brave men and women fought to defend themselves from the satanic forces of NATO but in the end they could not withstand the superior fire power of NATO all the same i respect and admire their courage in choosing death over enslavement to the europeans and americans.

Can any african nation imagine themselves fending off NATO for 8 good months as the libyans did? can nigerian with its obsolete military equipment even attempt to do what libya did? the only african country which might come close is south africa but lets not forget that south africa is not run by blacks but by whites who still control the economy of that country, so in my opiinion africa stands on the cusp of a second recolonisation - no african leader will dare prevent the siting of the US africa command military bases after what has just happened in libya  - we had our chance to become powerful but due to wickedness, s.tupidity, greed, cowardice and failure to learn from history we must submit once again to another 500 years of european/american enslavement.

Muammar Qadaffi - was a revolutionary who freed his people from imperialism and economic slavery at the hands of europe and america.

Goodluck Jonathan is a weak, gutless puppet who has followed in the footsteps of his master Obasanjo to keep nigeria enslaved to the IMF, WORLD BANK and the international banking cartels.

Qadaffi was a man of great vision, courage and tenacity who withstood 20 years of state sanctioned terrorism at the hands britain and america Goodluck Jonathan is a coward who backed the invasion of a fellow african nation by a gang of racist murderers and genocidists aka NATO.
Not only that Goodluck Jonathan even recognises a brutal, gang of ra.pists, murderers who brutally kill africans simply because they hate black people and regard all black people as slaves or abeed

Qadaffi lived a frugal lifestyle with minimal luxuries - he donated millions of dollars towards anti racist and anti imperialist organisations such as the ANC, the black panther movement, the IRA, the nation of islam Goodluck Jonathan and his wife prefer to steal frolm theier own people - within just one month of being installed as a governor Goodluck Jonathan and his wife had already stolen over 100 million naira and $35 million.
Goodluck Jonathan currently has an entourage of hangers on, sycophants and other parasites who are paid hefty salaries for doing absolutely nothing.

The irony is that if Goodluck Jonathan steps out of line NATO will do exactly the same thing they have done in Libya to Nigeria -so i guess its a good job Goodluck is a coward.

Then somehow, some man had his head blasted off. WTF were they shooting with?

I dont think all these people who claim the West is so much better than whatever Ghaddafi did have seen these videos. They can't, because I dont see how they can worship France for "liberating" the Libyans, while France slaughters the Ivorians. People even seem to be missing the fact, most of the libyan anger was fueled by reports first coming from French agencies, that Ghaddafi was using african mercenaries.
I dont think these young ivoriens had any idea of the kind of people they were dealing with - infact if you look at the early part of the video the atmosphere is similar to that of an open air concert - these young people never imagined that the french would open fire on them.
what they dont understand is that these french people do not even see them as human beings in the first place:

Politics › Re: The World's Infamous Dictators… And How They Met Their Violent Ends by cap28: 3:05pm On Oct 22, 2011
LIBYA STANDS APART FROM THE US-BACKED DICTATORSHIPS

By contrast, the same imperialists are calling on al-Qaddafi to “step down and leave” and they stepped up their support for the militia. They are accusing al-Qaddafi of “crimes against humanity”. They alleged that al-Qaddafi has committed crimes and must stand trial in the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. Libya does not recognise the ICC authority and there is no evidence that al-Qaddafi has committed any crimes against Libyans. In fact, the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva had recently praised Libya’s record on human rights, particularly the rights of women. If the ICC is serious about justice and International Law, it is obliged to investigate crimes of genocide committed by George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Tony Blair or crimes committed by Israeli leaders against the Palestinians. The ICC could also hold U.S.-NATO leaders responsible for civilian deaths in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The ICC, which is not recognised by the U.S. and has no jurisdiction over Americans accused of crimes, is nothing more than a tool of Western imperialism and will be used as a pretext to get around the UN Security Council veto for aggression.

A U.S. sponsored insurrection: It is clear that the ongoing violent insurrection in Libya has nothing to do with democracy, dictatorship and inequality. It has much to do with a U.S.-sponsored insurrection to topple the current Libyan Government and take control of Libyan valuable natural resources (oil and natural gas). The main group leading the insurrection is the National Conference for the Libyan Opposition which includes the National Front for the Salvation of Libya (NFSL). The NFSL, which is leading the violence, is a U.S.-sponsored armed militia of mostly Libyan expatriates and tribes opposed to al-Qaddafi. Unlike the peaceful uprisings against U.S.-backed dictatorship regimes in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Iraq and elsewhere, the violence in Libya has been directed against government buildings and properties, including army barracks and police stations.

And unlike the peaceful uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Iraq and elsewhere, the violence in Libya “underscored the contrast between the character of Libya’s revolution and [the peaceful uprisings that toppled dictators in Egypt and Tunisia]”. The militia leading the insurrection against the Libyan government has been led by “people who are more mature and who have been actively opposing the government for some time.” (NYT, 24 February 2011). It is most likely that the “mixed bag” contains U.S.-baked extremists, like “al-Qaeda”. They have already refused to negotiate and have called for U.S.-NATO to impose a “no-fly” zone over Libya, i.e., military intervention.

The No-Fly Zone: A “no-fly” zone is an act of illegal aggression to seize Libyan airspace and attack Libyan military infrastructure. The U.S. and NATO - supported by none other than the illegitimate despotic Arab regimes - have begun to prepare of the imposition of a “no-fly” zone over Libya. What is shameful about the “no-fly” zone is the Arab regimes hypocrisy. Acting with the obedience of imperialist servants, the Arab regimes have succumb to U.S. pressure and agreed to participate in the U.S.-NATO illegal intervention in Libya. These are the same U.S.-backed despots that are using violence and oppressive methods against their own people.

It is important to remember that the illegal, unilateral U.S.-Britain “no-fly” zone over Iraq was instrumental in destroying Iraqi defence capabilities and led to two criminal wars. For two decades, U.S. and British pilots flying at high altitude have terrorised the Iraqi people and divided the country. The Australian Foreign Minister and former Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, playing as mouthpiece for U.S. terror, was the first to call for a “no-fly” zone to be enforced over Libya. Rudd wants the world to know that when it comes to violence, Australia is the most reliable U.S. vassal. Not long ago, Rudd and nearly all Australian members of parliament stood idly by while the Israeli fascist regime was massacring Palestinian women and children in Gaza. There were no similar proposals to protect Arab civilians demonstrating elsewhere in the Middle East. Furthermore, the Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, had the audacity to preach against nonviolence as if she has forgotten Australia continues its criminal complicity in U.S. illegal aggressions and massacres of Afghan civilians.

The Sanctions: On 25 February 2011, the U.S. government forced the UN Security Council to impose stringent economic sanctions on Libya, including an arms embargo. In addition, the UN froze (confiscated) some $50 billion Libyan assets held in U.S. and EU banks. The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon has the audacity to demand “decisive action” against Libya, while playing an active role in defending and legitimising U.S. and Israel atrocities elsewhere. Mr Ki-Moon must know something about the UN-sponsored and U.S.-Britain enforced genocidal sanctions on Iraq that killed more than 2 million Iraqis, a third of whom were under the age of five, and destroyed the social fabric of the Iraqi society.

The Oxymoron - "Humanitarian Invasion": The U.S. and its Western allies have begun the process of manufactured pretexts to justify a “humanitarian invasion” of Libya and the occupation of the oil-rich region. Of course, “humanitarian invasion” in Western language has nothing to do with humanitarian per se; it is a cover-up for military invasion accompanied by terror, mayhem and displacement of people. The same pretexts that were used to justify the illegal and murderous invasion and Occupation of Iraq and the premeditated mass murder of more than 1.3 million innocent Iraqis will be used to justify the invasion of Libya. Indeed, the same group of U.S. fascist Jews – Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, Richard Perle, Joe Lieberman, Elliott Abrams, Douglas Feith and many more former senior officials from the Bush administration – who fabricated lies that led to the U.S. aggression against Iraq in 2003, are calling for a U.S.-NATO military invasion of Libya. “Those who promote the use of military force against Libya do not seek to defend human rights, but to establish a protectorate in order to violate them, as is always the case, in a country which is one of the most important sources of oil and energy in the Middle East”, said Jorge Valero, Venezuelan ambassador to the UN.

The CIA-sponsored insurrection in Benghazi and other oil-rich regions in Libya is part of a U.S. plan to control Libyan oil and natural gas that supplies China and upon which Europe largely depends. Like the invasion of Iraq, a U.S. invasion of Libya is the worst that could happen to the Libyan people. However, any student of the Libyan history of resistance to foreign occupation knows that at least a third of Libyans have died in order to liberate their country from Italian colonial rule.
