Of course America is a part of NATO, but it is a completely different kettle of fish to imply that NATO is America. I cannot see any sense in blaming America for the actions of NATO, it is quite simplistic, ill advised and ignorant. It is would be the same as some "clever" sod heaping the blame for the AU military actions in Somalia on Nigeria, because Nigeria funds the AU actions in Somalia heavily; you would agree that such a view is at best, wooly.

About losing respect for me because I hold a view contrary to yours, dude thats just the most foolish thing anyone can say. I'm a bit tired of hearing such idiocy, its a free World, you can have your opinions and I can have mine.

This isn't surprising. The transition to democracy was never expected to happen overnight and certainly not without pain.

What is clear now is that Libyans will finally be free to express themselves without fear of a massive reprisal by their 'king of kings'
yeah the same way american demonstrators are being pampered and indulged outside wall street by the US police i guess?

libyans enjoyed the highest standard of living in africa and no one was homeless - whats the official rate of unemployment in the land of the free at the moment ?  how many people are facing destitution once their homes are foreclosed on?

oh and by the way why did bush suspend parts of the american constitution, legalise phone tapping and suspend the right to  habeas corpus (the right not to be detained indefinitely without charge?)  your thoughts would be appreciated on any of those points.

this article brought tears to my eyes - the writer exposes the unspeakable atrocity that was the transatlantic slave trade and places responsibility firmly at the door of the white man.

sadly many africans are still in a coma - we have refused to wake up and understand that these people are still working tirelessly to erase us from the face of the earth, when are we going to wake up - or is it too late. Look at how these demons smashed an entire nation to smithereens simply because it wanted to exercise the right to its own self determination (Libya) the future for africa is indeed bleak if we carry on in this trance like state that we haave insisted on remaining in.

well when push comes to shove don't be surprised that nigerians will even do more than the arabs.where you in nigeria during the abiola/hope 93 riots?
besides look at libya, they allowed a single man to rule them for over 40 yrs something that will never have stood in nigeria yet when they rose up they defeated ghadaffi
qadaffi developed libya and provided his people with the highest standard of living in africa, nigeria has been ruled for approximately 41 years out of its 51 years of so called independence by northeners who have done absolutely nothing for the vast majority of the population of nigeria, qadaffi was a revolutionary who liberated his country from a british puppet who collaborated with the british to steal his country's wealth, the northerners in nigeria smashed a coup orchestrated by a group of young nationalist majors who would have liberated nigeria from the british enslavement - i dont know whether you cant see that you are still in bondage - the only difference is that your slave master looks exactly like you.

qadaffi was overthrown by a group of al qaeda racists who were armed and financed by british and american intelligence agencies because qadaffi refused to allow the imf to reduce his people to slaves -

contrast that with how your govt has reduced its own peoples to slaves in their own land on behalf of the world bank, imf, shell bp, exxon mobil and all the western controlled multinationals

al qaeda now runs libya - these criminals are the arab equivalents of the ku klux klan or the nazis.

america and britain dont give a f.ck about you all they want is your oil and even if it means imposing a gang of genocidal maniacs to rule over you they will do it in order to achieve their aim, you do not have democracy in nigeria - you are living under a tyrannical system of govt which is aided and abetted by the europeans and americans.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Italy's Berlusconi Steps Down As Prime Minister by cap28: 7:41pm On Nov 13, 2011
There is nothing honorable, democratic or sincere about european politicians its just that they've got you africans fooled - first of all democracy as is practised in the western world is merely a game - the western polticians are not independent but are merely front men for the real power brokers who operate behind the scenes, the real power lies in the hands of the international banking cartels which are run and owned by a few powerful european families - they also have controlling shares in all of the major multinationals this powerful elite known as the 1 % own and control the world's banking system they also control their various politicians - the polticians are merely glorified managers who implement policies created by this powerful group, they use the mirage of democracy to fool people in the west into thinking that they have a say on how their govts are run but these various political parties merely serve the same master - in the UK new labour and the tories are on the same side and are all serving the city of london who control the worlds financial markets, in the US the democrats and republicans are both servants of wall street and the multinational corporations - the elections are just a circus that they put on every four years to fool people into thinking that their vote counts - it doesnt - its either you vote in one of the two pre selected candidates or abstain from voting - independents never win presidential seats in america because they are not selected by the power brokers at the top who control everything, the same thing in the UK - prime ministers are all vetted and pre selected by the establishment (the power brokers).

therefore Berlusconi's decision to resign has nothing to do with him being an honorable man but more to do with the fact that he is no longer of any use to the power brokers who selected him to run the country for 17 years.

The western politicians run a criminal organisation on behalf of the real power brokers who finance their election campaigns and dictate govt policy, any politician who refuses to tow the line is deselected and gets thrown out of office - there are many ways to make a politician fall out of favour with the voters - you can dig up a lot of dirt on him and use it to blackmail him or you can have him meet with an accident - JFK tried to disengage from a pre determined script which had been written for him by the power brokers and they had him executed in full view of the public, so stop thinking that these people are honorable men , if you only knew the half of what these people are involved in you would recoil in horror.

the reason your african leaders spend 10, 20 and even 30 years in office in some cases is because they are selected and installed by western powers - they are allowed to stay as long as they want because they are there to open up african economies and allow western corporations to exploit the natural resources of these various countries. The only time that african leaders are toppled is when they fall out of favour with their western god fathers, you should ask yourself why western nations continue to arm these tyrants - isnt it obvious that they do so in order to enable these tyrants defend themselves from any opposing groups who might want to topple them.

the western powers do not give a damn about you having a democratic system of govt because if you did it would stand in the way of their objective which is to exploit and drain away your natural resources. the only way they can acheive that objective is to have an african collaborator in office for as long as possible, so stop fooling yourselves - the western powers are not your friends and they do not want anything positive for your economy or your people all they want is to continue to have access to your natural resources at the cheapest price possible.

The thing is that this can happen to Nigeria anytime. The US army can instigate and give weapons to Boko Haram to cause a civil war then go to the niger delta and steal oil and leave. They can even give weapons to MEND so they can fight Boko Haram too. This will leave many dead sad
of course!!!

al qaeda/NTC (a creation of US intelligence) were armed and funded to overthrow Qadaffi and now they are running the country!!!! you couldnt make it up!!!

it is equally possible for Boko Haram to one day take over the reigns of power from the nigerian govt if nigeria carries on disobeying orders from washington and london (doing business with china)

The Second Berlin Plunder of Africa. Only a United Africa can Defeat the Imperialists

Imperialism is alive and well, and the Libyan invasion by Western forces is the latest example. Only a united Africa protecting and defending the interests of her own people collectively can defeat the imperialists.

From its inception on 6 April 1959, the Pan-Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) in South Africa, whose first President was Mangaliso Robert Sobukwe, agreed with Ghana's Kwame Nkrumah that, 'The longer we wait the stronger will be the hold on Africa by neo-colonialism and imperialism.' That, 'If Africa was united, no major bloc would attempt to subdue her by limited war because, from the very nature of limited war, what can be achieved by it, is itself limited. It is only where small states exist that it is possible, by lending a few thousand marines or by financing a mercenary force that they can secure a decisive result.'

Nkrumah emphasised this important point for Africans when addressing the African heads of state and government on 24 May 1963. He declared that, 'No sporadic act nor pious resolutions can resolve our present problems, As a continent we have emerged into independence in a difficult age, with imperialism grown stronger, more ruthless and experienced, and more dangerous in its international associations. Our economic advancement demands the end of colonialist and neo-colonialist domination of Africa.'

What has now happened to Libya under Muammar Gaddafi must drive home forcefully what the pan-Africanists have been hammering on all these years. Imperialism is not dead, despite its perfidious rhetoric. NATO and United States of America invaded Libya in February 2O11 to have access and control of the oil wealth of Libyans under the pretext of 'protecting civilians.' Libya is the most bombed country in Africa by NATO and America this century, killing thousands of civilians they purported to protect.

The imperialist invasion of this part of Africa has now been falsely called 'Libyan revolution.' This beginning of the second Berlin violation of Africa is not about violation of human rights in Africa. It is about accessing Africa's riches for the benefit of Europe and America. This is to perpetuate Africa's poverty and her dependency on 'foreign aid.'

It is, therefore, a suffocating stink on the history of the 'Freedom Charter' of the ANC government that it voted for the NATO illegal bombing of Libya with imperialist countries in the United Nations Security Council such as the USA, Britain and France. At least China and Russia abstained, although outright opposition would have saved many lives and stopped the destruction of Libya's infrastructure.

Even Germany could not vote for this perilous Security Council Resolution 1973/2011 that authorised terrorist attacks on Libya. How is this ANC government vote different from the way the apartheid colonialist regime voted when it was in the United Nations?

The United Nations resolution resulted in NATO and USA soldiers secretly fighting side by side with anti-Gaddafi rebels in the same manner the USA and Britain did in Iraq against Saddam Hussein. The USA and British allies consistently peddled the false accusation that Hussein possessed nuclear weapons. In Libya it is NATO planes of aggression inside Libya that attacked Muammar Gaddafi at Sirte, his home town and killed him. In 1961 Patrice Lumumba died at the hands of the United Nations that was manipulated by the same Western imperialist countries to protect their continued looting of Congo's resources. The geo-historical parallels must be examined and constantly interrogated.

Rumblings which the ANC government made after the brutal murder and death of Colonel Gaddafi are tantamount to crocodile tears, a continuum in their traditional culture of hunting with the dogs and running with the hare. What the imperialist countries did to Patrice Lumumba using the United Nations in 196O is a clear lesson of the extent to which they are barbarously committed to achieving their nefarious schemes. The ANC should have learned this lesson hard and fast. A government under leaders like Robert Sobukwe, Zephania Mothopeng , Steve Biko and other pan Africanists such as Kwame Nkrumah and Ahmed Sekou Toure would never have voted for the overthrow of an African government by imperialists under the perfidious cover of 'protecting civilians.'

NATO and America flew their war planes to Libya not to 'protect civilians' but to replace an anti-imperialist government with a puppet regime. This is what they mean by 'regime change.' Once they had killed Gaddafi, they announced that their 'mission is accomplished' and there was more euphoric celebration in the imperialist capitals of the world than in Libya.

The overthrow of brutal governments is the work and responsibility of the oppressed masses not malevolent external forces. Imperialists are oppressors and oppressors cannot liberate the oppressed. Imperialists intervene in territories over which they have no jurisdiction or invitation in order to protect their own interests and install puppet regimes. The political history of Africa is replete with illustrations that confirm this. The United Nations General Assembly should in fact dismantle the Security Council veto which is primarily controlled by imperialist countries that are the principal war criminals in the world today and the root cause of global instability.

If the United Nations delays reform of the Security Council, it will inevitably cause the UN's demise in the same way as its predecessor, the League of Nations. The International Criminal Court has shown signs of being a tool of imperialism; hence George Bush of America and Tony Blair of Britain have never been summoned before this court for their crimes against humanity, especially in Iraq.

This court has charged only African leaders and is hunting for some more. The African Union must find its own court to charge African leaders who have propensity for tyranny. The United States of America has not even signed the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. African leaders must stop subjecting Africa to racists and incorrigible former practitioners of slave trade and colonialism for which they have yet to pay trillions of dollars as reparations to Africa.

Leading NATO countries such as Britain, France and Italy are reported to be in huge debt. The United States of America alone has a reported debt of $114 trillion. Africa has riches. Like during the enslavement of Africans and the colonisation of their countries, the bankrupt Western countries hope once again to salvage their crumbling economies by turning Africa into their looting ground once again through barbaric terrorist militarism. How different are they from armed bank robbers or from the armed 'terrorists' they claim to be fighting?

Africa has resources. They are for Africans. God meant them to be for the benefit of the children of Africa. The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) alone, when developed, can feed and provide electricity to the rest of Africa. DRC is 905,355 square miles. It is the size of the following twelve European countries combined: Britain, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Amernia and Albania. The untapped wealth of Congo is about more than $24 trillion. This is equivalent to the Gross Domestic Product of Europe and United States of America put together.

Only pan-Africanism can secure the interests of Africa. Only a united Africa protecting and defending the interests of her own people collectively can defeat these imperialist bloodsuckers.

Dr. Pheko is former Representative of the victims of apartheid and colonialism at the United Nations in New York well as at the UN Commission on Human Rights in Geneva. He is also the former President of the Pan Africanist Congress and former Member of the South African Parliament. He is one of the most prolific African writers. He writes on history, politics, law and theology. This article is an extract from one of his latest books HOW FREEDOM CHARTER BETRAYED THE DISPOSSESSED.

totorimi:
The greastest enemy we have in this country today are the youths of this nation. They have failed woefully. We sit back and blame past leaders for our situation. Unaccomplished dreams, bleak future and all. We curse and swear for them to die a painful and bitter death. Does that solve the problem. Even if they die now I mean IBB, OBJ, Buhari,Shonekan, Abdulsalam and the rest of them have they not all attained the biblical age of 70, in other words they have ran the race and fought the good fight and they can all beat their chest and say I have etched my name in the sand of time.Forever and ever their names will go down in history whenever and wherever the story of Nigeria is written. Today the average youth of today will count him or hrself blessed to reach 70 with all the challenges of our time. I say again the youths of Nigeria of today are the greatest threat Nigeria has. Todays youth are a disgrace and a big let down be it the elites amongst us or the everyday youths on the street. We have been brainwashed, interested in the fake life and hiding under mask to throw tantruns, they throw bombs, write all sorts without making any positive move to guarantee our future and the coming generation. At the present we have seen what is happeneing in our nation, what contributions have the youths made both those within and outside the government. Yes we do have youths in government where is the youthful zeal, where are the youthful ideologies, none rather we see complacency both within government and outside government. Those outside are afraid they are grumbling without taking any action for positive change. Those within are stealing and not bothered about the future of the coming generation. So sad indeed, all we do is live our fake lives and make empty threats of been the future of Nigeria, what future if i may say a bleak one indeed. The youths yes all of us should go bury our heads in shame, because we have failed the country. We have the power, we have the strength, we have the know how to fix Nigeria once and for all. The youths in the Arab world have shown us the way to do it. We can collectively make that change we want for our country. I recall how the youths of Nigeria of old stood up in one voice and said no to OBJ during the ' Ali must go' era at the end of the day we got the change we needed. Yes sacrifices must be made for our freedom. There is no peace without war. The youths of Nigeria must stop lamenting and rise up, its our future its our country we have no other we must fight for her future and progress. We cannot continue to wallow in self pity and allow wasted people to mislead us with religious and tribal sentiments. We must unite as youths and make that positive change we need. The mistakes of the past have gone and we have learnt our lessons. Never again should anyone say the youths of this country cant rule Nigeria, never again should anyone shut our universities and have their own kids abroad, never again should anyone ignore the potentials of the youth, never should people steal our money, sack the youths from work while they and their cronies are looting the treasury, never again should our wives and children die in our hospitals while they fly abroad for the slightest ailment, never again should the youths of Nigeria be looking older than their fathers. Never Again. So let us confine the old brigade where they belong, ignore them let them live with their concience let them see where they have led us to. This is the present, those who are there today let us hold them by the jugular to deliver on their promises or we use our strength to show them the way out. No time for dolling. Thats my own take on this thread. IT is well with Naija.
so let me get this right - the youth are responsible for inheriting a nation that IBB and OBJ handed on a platter to the IMF and the worl dbank?

the youth are responsible for the SAP policies implemented by IBB which led to the massive brain drain, mass unemployment, mass misery and poverty inflicted by them.

the youth are also responsible for the mass selling off of all nigeria's valuable assets including our utilities and our airline?

the fact that IBB and obj have been protected by their western masters thereby enablign them to reach the grand old age of 70 does not make them heroes in my book.

thomas sankara was a hero but was cut down in the prime of his life at the age of 35

patrice lumumba was a hero but was murdered brutally at the age of 35,  these old bastards are only alive today because they sold out their own people to the colonial masters who till this day continue to rap.e and pillage this continent, they are a disgrace and curse to this continent and deserve to be publicly lynched and humiliated for the terrible suffering, poverty and misery they have inflicted on generations to follow - because beleive it or not the treachery of OBJ and IBB will continue to be felt by generations to come - do you know what it means for an entire nation to be sold off to foreign mutinationals and international banking cartels?

if OBJ and IBB had even done one quarter of what qadaffi had done for his people i could understand where you are coming from but these are traitors who couldnt give a sh.it whether you or i live or die - they are pure scum and i will continue to pray that they meet a terrible, slow and agonising death.

you better wake up and understand that these old bastards have sentenced you and your grand children to a life of perpetual slavery at the hands of the europeans and americans.

A cursory following of wikileaks will show that there is nothing Robin Sanders hasn't been willingly told by Nigerian officials. Americans already control our oil and know every shiit we think is hidden; indeed Hilary Clinton has made the claim on quite a few occasions that foreigners know more about Nigeria than Nigerians.

If they have all these soft weapons arrayed against us, it would be foolish to imagine that they need to invade us to control us. When 9ja turn ninja sef? In whose imagination? angry

The US simply want to come in and phuck up boko haram before they grow strong enough to threaten the oil industry as a way of hitting the US. We supply a full 15% of the US total oil supply (don't mind "comrade brother" Crap 28 that says its 25%, that guy talks like a befuddled bull frog). Cutting out 15% of the US supply will surely hurt the American economy and thats something they don't wanna wait for.

THEY NEED TO INVADE YOU IN ORDER TO EXPEL CHINESE WORKERS AND BUSINESSES FROM YOUR COUNTRY - THEY DID THE SAME THING IN LIBYA 8 MONTHS AGO - WHAT PART OF THAT DO YOU NOT  UNDERSTAND - ARE THERE ANY CHINESE PEOPLE LEFT IN LIBYA DOING BUSINESS AS WE SPEAK?

WHETHER WE SUPPLY 15% OR 25% OF US OIL IMPORTS IS NOT THE ISSUE - THE REAL ISSUE IS WE ARE TRADING WITH A NATION THAT IS ENCROACHING ON WHAT THEY SEE AS THEIR OWN TERRITORY - HAVE I SIMPLIFIED IT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND YET?

NATO ARE NOT as invincible as we think - it took them 8 months to take over libya - a tiny nation of only 6 million people and they had to rely on psychological warfare and bombing of civillians from the air - as we speak the war in libya is still not over - the one thing i ponder on is WHETHER THEY WOULD  DROP A NUCLEAR BOMB ON US(africans) IF WE CHALLENGED THEIR POSITION LIKE THE JAPANESE DID.

Actually this IS ALL ABOUT OIL - nigeria supplies 25% of US oil imports - but here's the twist - china is also very interested in getting a piece of the action - and they are getting a piece of the action  - so much so that they are even willing to PAY MORE for nigeria's oil than exxon mobil and shell, - this therefore poses a major dilemma for the US and british who do not want to be edged out of a market that they have dominated for close to 40 years hence their (US and britain's) decision to start a fake war on terror on a fake terrorist organisation created by their own intelligence organisations (boko haram) the reason the likes of obo junkie and other numbskulls dont understand any of this is because they are functional illiterates who have NEVER EVER IN THEIR LIVES RESEARCHED ANYTHING REMOTELY RESEMBLING WORLD HISTORY -

NEWSFLASH!!!!! - AMERICA IS AN EMPIRE - IT HAS NO INTENTION OF GIVING UP ITS POSITION TO CHINA AND EVEN IF IT MEANS BLOWING UP THE ENTIRE WORLD TO MAKE A POINT IT WILL DO IT.

this is why the americans are secretely deploying troops to africa - why has obama sent 100 military advisers to uganda to smoke out a war lord (joseph koney) who has been on their terrorist list for over 20 years - why now?

ill tell you why now - because CHINA IS MUSCLING IN ON THEIR ACTION IN AFRICA AND CHINA IS THEIR MAIN COMPETITOR ON THE WORLD ECONOMIC STAGE - AMERICA AND BRITAIN ARE NOT PREPARED TO ALLOW A NON EUROPEAN COMPETITOR USURP THEIR POSITION ON THE WORLD STAGE, AMERICA AND EUROPE ARE BANKRUPT BUT THEY STILL HAVE THE WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL MILITARY - AND THEY ARE DETERMINED TO USE THIS TO RETAIN CONTROL OVER EVERY SINGLE VALUABLE NATURAL RESOURCE ON THIS PLANET.

IF AMERICA AND BRITAIN SUCCEED IN THEIR PLAN OF WORLD WIDE CONTROL OF NATURAL RESOURCES THERE WILL BE NO SUCH THING AS A SOVEREIGN NATION every non european nation will be ENSLAVED TO EUROPE AND AMERICA.

nigeria is STILL doing business with china this is why the FGN is now suddenly facing attacks from boko haram - all the nigerian govt needs to do to in order to stop these attacks is terminate all trade with china and hey presto boko haram will disappear - its that simple.

sorry to break it to you bro - Qadaffi is NOT dead - he's too intelligent to allow himself be captured by a gang of bloodthirsty hyenas, russia was secretly backing Qadaffi and Qadaffi even had eastern european mercenaries fighting for him plus his security was water tight.

come on beaf i thought you were cleverer than that - you mean you beleived all that trash about him being fished out of a sewer (what a coincidence!) and then being executed by one of the rebels with his own gold plated gun!! jeez beaf - how gullible are you? that is sooooooo james bond!!!

The desert fox is alive and well cooling his heels in a safe place.

my belief is that the west negotiated safe passage for him to an allied nation, just like they did for his wife and children.

illiteracy is a disease in nigeria and for that we will pay the ultimate price.

beaf - your intellectual laziness will cost you dearly - JFK was assassinated by the US govt but if anyone had said this in 1963 people would have thought they were crazy, today most sane americans know JFK was not assassinated by a so called lone nut by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald but by the CIA under instructions from the US govt.

this is the same way most sane people know that Muammar Qaddafi could never have been so st.upid to have allowed himself be lynched by a gang of savages - this is a man who had evaded assassination attempts from the CIA and MI6 for over 20 years - you really think he would be so dumb as to end up walking into a trap planted by NATO?

obo junkie - you will be one of the first the US police will put in a FEMA concentration camp.

this is exactly how the european jews sleep walked into the auschwitz and dachau concentration camps.

I can just picture you explaining to some other hapless fools about how the gas emanating from the shower heads is actually good for your digestion -  grin grin grin grin grin

goodluck with your limitless ignorance.

Crap28, we are still waiting for your madmans proof that Gaddafi is still alive on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-800762.0.html
Someone should simply catch and section you.

I never knew there were racial similarities between White Americans and Asian South Koreans! Hmmm, maybe adding that the Japanese are Asian too makes the case more plausible. No? shocked

NL is a damn funny place! grin grin grin
to describe you as being devoid of any iota of intelligence would be the understatement of the year:

let me school you on a few facts that have obviously never crossed your mind:

Qadaffi did a deal with the west in order to prevent his country from being over run by islamic militants who had been on MI6 and CIA payroll for over 20 years.

Qadaffi was set up to take the rap for lockerbie because he REFUSED to hand over his country lock stock and barrel to shell and exxon mobil

The US govt were simply waiting for the collapse of Qadaffis regime following 20 years of economic sanctions (as well as thier funding of islamic terrorists groups who were being armed to overthrow him) - Qadaffi was in a corner and had no choice other than to open up libya to the american and european oil companies but unlike that piece of shi.t GEJ who you follow around like a homeless bum he at least had the dignity and self respect to have a few aces up his sleeve, namely:

the establishment of the african monetary fund
the introduction of an african single currency backed by gold
the creation of a single african military force which would counter any attempted invasion of africa from europe and america.

what has that your useless houseboy ever done to protect the sovereignty of nigeria talk less of africa ?

Qadaffi is not dead - he is too smart to allow himself to have been captured by those savages, watch the video and you will see that the person in taht video was not him - i have already pointed out a number of errors - why was his face soaked in blood in one shoot and then wiped clean in another when he was lying on the floor ? did the rebels clean him up before placing him on the floor?

the western corporate media said he was shot in both legs and the back but in the videos the puported qadaffi can clearly be seen walking without any difficluty - do you know anyone who has been shot in both legs and the back that still walks around with ease?

you are too dumb to understand that there are some very powerful forces at play in this whole scenario this is why you can not get to grips with any of this.

remember how the bbc showed a clip of a group of so called libyans jubilating over the capture of tripoli by the nato rebels - it later transpired that those so called libyans were actually indians jubilating over an election result in their country - you are too ignorant and dumb to understand that you are being manipulated by a group of people who are much more intelligent than yourself and who are merely gaming with your weak "brain".

keep following GEJ - you are almost at your destination - the pit of hell.

AL QAEDA/NTC  (CIA) ARE NOW RUNNING A SOVEREIGN NATION (LIBYA) AS PUPPETS FOR THEIR MASTERS IN WASHINGTON

THIS MEANS THAT THE US MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX ARE CAPABLE OF ANYTHING - TODAY'S TERRORISTS CAN BECOME TOMORROW'S LEADERS

WHY HAS GEJ NOT BEEN ABLE TO DEAL A DECISIVE BLOW TO BOKO HARAM?

THE NIGERIAN MILITARY ARE RENOWNED FOR THEIR BRUTALITY - HOW COME THEY KEEP PUSSY FOOTING AROUND BOKO HARAM - IS IT BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHO THEIR(BOKO HARAM'S)  BACKERS ARE?

WHY IS GEJ ALLOWING THE GOVT TO BE INTIMIDATED BY A BUNCH OF RAG TAG ISLAMIC FANATICS?

funnily enough this is the same way al qaeda was being used to destabilise libya during qadaffi's regime until he agreed to open libya up totally to the international oil companies - unfortunately enough for qadaffi the US govt decided to renege on their promise to keep al qaeda off his back when he decided to set up the african monetary fund (AMF)  which resulted in the completed destruction of a country he spent 42 years  building from scratch.

China and their technology , i dont buy their products always inferior
i totally agree, many british businesses have outsourced their manufacturing sectors to china and you can see the difference in qualijty between products which were previously manufactured in britain and the ones that are now being manufactured in china - the chinese products are pure substandard trash - the UK businesess are now only interested in making huge profits and dont care about quality so they ship all their manufacturing sector to the chinese who use slave labour to produce these goods. these chinese slaves will work for 10 cents an hour because they have no other choice.

this is one of the reasons why unemployment is rising in the western world - all of these jobs are now being done by slave labourers in china, indonesia, thailand, malaysia and now nigeria.
Business › Re: China To Set Up Manufacturing Zone In Nigeria by cap28: 2:01pm On Nov 12, 2011
what i cant understand is why the nigerian govt can not give the same level of assistance to indigenous nigerian manufacturers - igbos are very good at manufacturing and production -why isnt the govt boosting local manufacturing by giving them similar incentives- why give such a big helping hand to these chinese people?

if our local manufacturers are incentivised this will gradually wean us off foreign imports, which can only be a good thing.

free trade zones are just another way for multinationals and other foreign owned businesses  to ship jobs to countries where they can exploit indigenous cheap labour, countries where labour laws are non existent and whose govts are not looking out for the welfare of their people but for their own personal welfare.

many of the corporations who operate under these free trade zones do so on the condition that they dont have to pay tax and are not subject to trade tarrifs, they can also get away with subjectign their workers to the most inhumane working conditions.
they have similar free trade zones in various so called third world countries around the world like haiti, indonesia, malaysia, thailand - their workers work and live in terrible conditions and earn a pittance but this goes on largely because their govts collaborate with the multinationals that operate there.

Once you look closely you begin to understand who is really benefitting from this set up.

the chinese set up these sweat shops where they employ nigerians and use them like donkeys paying them starvation wages and then to add insult to injury these same products are used to flood domestic nigerian markets putting indigenous manufacturers out of business - why is this a good idea?
