typical stup.idity of the average nigerian - instead of asking why these type of luxury apartments are built when 3/4 of the population live in slums you fools come on here praising this kind of wastage- how many of you will ever be able to live in this type of accomodation in your lifetime?

your govt has never done anything for you and you demand nothing of them - thats why they treat all of you like sh.t

Nobody gives a sh.it about africans including their own govts and that is demonstrated by goodluck jonathan's recognition of a group of arab racists who are currently perpetrating genocide against black african people/

first of all these killings have nothing to do with africans being mercenaries in libya  because this has never ever been substantiated by anyone any where - it is a terrible lie created by western media outlets to make black africans targets of these marauding killers , besides arabs have always hated black africans they call anyone with black skin "abeed" which means slave in arabic they have a deep seated hatred and contempt for black africans even though they invaded our own continent, killed many of our people and settled their own people on it.  Gadaffi was hated by his fellow arabs because of his closeness to black africans, they hated the  fact that he spent money on pan african projects like telecommunication and his plans for a centralised african bank and a single african currency backed by gold, they hated him for all those things because they see themselves as having more in common with europeans than africans.  In fact the rebels talk about their "mediterranean heritage" they seem to have forgotten how they sufferned under italian colonialism.  dont you see how these killers  abuse gadaffi and call him "frizz head" gadaffi is of berber extraction - and may have african blood running through his veins - hence his "frizzy hair" these bastards look at that as denoting inferior racial stock.

for those saying that this is targeted at anyone mistaken for being a black mercenary - are you aware that black libyans make up one third of the population of libya and are mainly from the southern part of libya are they also mercenaries in their own country? also many black libyans are from gadaffi's tribe, many of these people are targets and will be slaughtered en masse if nothing is done to stop these deadly racist killers.  Isnt it ironic that NATO who claim they bombed libya to protect lives are standing by and watching as hundreds of blacks continue to be slaughtered?

the western media is complicit in the huge coverup of this tragedy -they are the ones who created the lie about black mercenaries and they are the ones that have given these killers an excuse to kill black africans, notice how they have continued to ignore this issue since it started and have only recently begun showing a few glossed over reports about it, this killing and torturing of blacks has been going on since march when this war started, blacks were being butchered in benghazi - why didnt cnn, bbc or channel 4 report this then?  in fact i even have a clip of an american journalist raising this as an issue way back in april and the interviewer just interrupted him when he started talking about it, this man was even warning that there will be a blood bath of black libyans and other black africans if these killers ever get to tripoli and still the western media remained silent- now almost 4 months later they are pretending to address this matter although still referring to these murdered victims as "suspected mercenaries"

The real reason these animals are killing blacks as i said earlier is because they have a natural hatred towards all black people and that is the truth -they want to rid their country of blacks once and for all and they are using this war as an opportunity to do so.

@ Cap28,
Was it not thesame colonial masters that built the University of Ibadan, Yabatech, UNN, Unilag & ABU? Were these schools built to train Brits or Nigerians?Ask old men that attended university during the colonial era about the quality of education when they were taught by whites and compare with the current quality of education when blacks are in charge before you say they want us to remain ignorant.
The departing colonialists needed to create a black middle class that could run nigeria on their behalf when they were gone.  They did this because they had no intention of leaving nigeria's vast oil wealth in the hands of the "darkies" In order to protect their investment they needed to create a bourgeois class who would work to serve their interests and not the interests of the nigerian people.

The easiest way to get people on your side is to brainwash them - they used education and religion to do this -
a colonial education system was put in place to brainwash africans and teach them how to hate themselves but look up to the white man - thats why those colleges and universities were created.  the idea was to create a nigerian middle class who would be black on the outside but white in their aspirations and thinking - these people would serve as agents of colonialism to ensure that the white man's control over nigeria remained firmly in place.  These puppets would be glorified servants who did the bidding of their masters.  and as you can see it has worked really well because the average so called educated nigerian aspires to be like his oppressor  -the ruling class in nigeria also serve the interests of their british oppressors not the nigerian people, the only time that this situation was about to change was when a group of young nationalist majors tried to take over the reigns of power, unfortunately they were stopped in their tracks by the british backed northern stooges.

Who developed the agricultural sector making Nigeria one of the largest producer of cocoa, cotton, palm kernel, groundnut & rubber in the world? Were all these things not done by thesame colonial masters that you paint as the devil? What happened to the railway system they left for us?
they developeed the agricultural sector at that time for their own benefit, the crops that were being grown then were all for export or cash crops - they were only interested in plundering and pillaging, they did not invest in infrastructure or even a proper railway system - infact the railway system  was only built in order to facilitate the transportation of cash crops from the north right down to the south for export.  this was done because crude oil had not yet been discovered in large quantities - as soon as crude oil was discovered there was a move away from agricultural production to crude oil production as the major source of export revenue.

I quite agree that the white man have done so much harm to this world based on past history, but the black man's wickedness against fellow black is worse than white man's wickedness against black in modern times but you all refuse to accept the truth. In Nigeria, you all kill yourselves in the name of tribal and religious difference all the time and you dont think its a problem? How did the white man cause the present suffering in east Africa today? Do you also know that bulk of the aids distributed to the suffering Somalians is coming from thesame white men? e]
thats what  you have been brainwashed to beleive but the truth is somewhat different, they have been responsible for committing some of the most heinous crimes ever known to man they invented chattel slavery and tried to justify it.

theyve dropped the atomic bomb on defenceless nations, used terrible  weapons of war like napalm, nerve gas and cluster bombs on civillian populations - you name it - they've done it - all in the name of imperialism.

the reason that there is so much inter ethnic strife in nigeria is because they created it - they herded together different ethnic groups forcing them to live within artificial contraptions which they called countries - they then played different groups off against each other sowing the seeds of hatred which have now germinated into full blown inter ethnic conflict -

they are behind the current famine and starvation in east africa today - it is US foreign policy to use starvation as a legitimate weapon of war - read NSSM 200 its a declassified US document on america's foreign policy on africa.
eritrea and somalia are being punished by the US for resisting US occupation, their country has been plunged into chaos and war for over 20 years because of this.

What the Libyan rebels are doing by attacking blacks indiscriminately is quite bad but  you also have to remember that blacks were brought into Libya by Ghadaffi to help him in his war effort so it is a naturant expectation for them to direct their anger on any black they see even though it is not justified and very wrong? Remember the Newtons third law of motion, "To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction". Also, do you think these blacks will be struggling to go to Europe if their country is better?
You are repeating unsubstantiated propaganda like all4naija and that is why we africans will continue to be taken for a ride by the rest of the world, im not even going to bother arguing with you on this as ive made my point about how this is nothing but a lie.

I will refer you back to this my earlier post.
"How does American invasion prevent your government from making power supply constant, paving every road, standardizing the educational system(try go to a government own primary school and tell me its current dilapidated state is caused by America/Europe), dead transport system(train, water and air transport), steel plants that billion of dollars have been spent on with no steal production, all the abandoned government projects in Nigeria, payment of 19000 naira as minimum wage where as national assembly members can approve millions for salary and allowance and almost zero social security system.
I pity Africa because the reason of an average black man is that they have no fault in their current problem and everything is caused by the white man"
thats a good question - i am not totally exonerating african leaders from blame here as there are many things they could have done to improve the living standards of the average nigerian person the same way gadaffi did but the corruption of nigerian leaders is only one small part of the picture, there is a much bigger picture which you are yet to understand, the thing you have to understand is that the resources of the african continent are not under the control of african leaders - they are controlled by western multinationals and international banks, these organisations call the shots and the leaders must dance to their tune or find themselves being violently removed from power(as you can see with libya) many african countries are currently under the financial control of the IMF and have lost their sovereignty as independent nations, the IMF dictates the economic policies of these countries and uses so called economic reform or austerity measures to destroy the living standards of the african people by privatising vital public services, cutting govt spending on education and health and diverting this money into the building of multi million dollar infrastructure projects which they award to their own construction companies, in the end the only people who beneifit from this are the corrupt nigerian elite and the western banks and multinationals.  this is actually the major reason why africans have a lower standard of living than their western counterparts, but that is not to releive nigerian leaders from blame becuase there are still many things that could have been done to improve the standard of living of nigerians even with teh control exerted over them by the west.

African Mercenaries.

Patrick Cockburn summarized the functional utility of the myth of the “African mercenary” and the context in which it arose: “Since February, the insurgents, often supported by foreign powers, claimed that the battle was between Gaddafi and his family on the one side and the Libyan people on the other. Their explanation for the large pro-Gaddafi forces was that they were all mercenaries, mostly from black Africa, whose only motive was money”. As he notes, black prisoners were put on display for the media (which is a violation of the Geneva Convention), but Amnesty International later found that all the prisoners had supposedly been released since none of them were fighters, but rather were undocumented workers from Mali, Chad, and west Africa. The myth was useful for the opposition to insist that this was a war between “Gaddafi and the Libyan people,” as if he had no domestic support at all—an absolute and colossal fabrication such that one would think only little children could believe a story so fantastic. The myth is also useful for cementing the intended rupture between “the new Libya” and Pan-Africanism, realigning Libya with Europe and the “modern world” which some of the opposition so explicitly crave.

The “African mercenary” myth, as put into deadly, racist practice, is a fact that paradoxically has been both documented and ignored. Months ago I provided an extensive review of the role of the mainstream media, led by Al Jazeera, as well as the seeding of social media, in creating the African mercenary myth. Among the departures from the norm of vilifying Sub-Saharan Africans and black Libyans that instead documented the abuse of these civilians, were the Los Angeles Times, Human Rights Watch which found no evidence of any mercenaries at all in eastern Libya (totally contradicting the claims presented as truth by Al Arabiya and The Telegraph, among others such as TIME and The Guardian). In an extremely rare departure from the propaganda about the black mercenary threat which Al Jazeera and its journalists helped to actively disseminate, Al Jazeera produced a single report focusing on the robbing, killing, and abduction of black residents in eastern Libya (now that CBS, Channel 4, and others are noting the racism, Al Jazeera is trying to ambiguously show some interest). Finally, there is some increased recognition of these facts of media collaboration in the racist vilification of the insurgents’ civilian victims—see FAIR: “NYT Points Out ‘Racist Overtones’ in Libyan Disinformation It Helped Spread”.

The racist targeting and killing of black Libyans and Sub-Saharan Africans continues to the present. Patrick Cockburn and Kim Sengupta speak of the recently discovered mass of “rotting bodies of 30 men, almost all black and many handcuffed, slaughtered as they lay on stretchers and even in an ambulance in central Tripoli”. Even while showing us video of hundreds of bodies in the Abu Salim hospital, the BBC dares not remark on the fact that most of those are clearly black people, and even wonders about who might have killed them. This is not a question for the anti-Gaddafi forces interviewed by Sengupta: “‘Come and see. These are blacks, Africans, hired by Gaddafi, mercenaries,’ shouted Ahmed Bin Sabri, lifting the tent flap to show the body of one dead patient, his grey T-shirt stained dark red with blood, the saline pipe running into his arm black with flies. Why had an injured man receiving treatment been executed?” Recent reports reveal the insurgents engaging in ethnic cleansing against black Libyans in Tawergha, the insurgents calling themselves “the brigade for purging slaves, black skin,” vowing that in the “new Libya” black people from Tawergha would be barred from health care and schooling in nearby Misrata, from which black Libyans had already been expelled by the insurgents. Currently, Human Rights Watch has reported: “Dark-skinned Libyans and sub-Saharan Africans face particular risks because rebel forces and other armed groups have often considered them pro-Gadhafi mercenaries from other African countries. We’ve seen violent attacks and killings of these people in areas where the National Transitional Council took control”. Amnesty International has also just reported on the disproportionate detention of black Africans in rebel-controlled Az-Zawiya, as well as the targeting of unarmed, migrant farm workers. Reports continue to mount as this is being written, with other human rights groups finding evidence of the insurgents targeting Sub-Saharan African migrant workers. As the chair of the African Union, Jean Ping, recently stated: “NTC seems to confuse black people with mercenaries. All blacks are mercenaries. If you do that, it means (that the) one-third of the population of Libya, which is black, is also mercenaries. They are killing people, normal workers, mistreating them”. (To read more, please consult the list of recent reports that I have compiled.)

The “African mercenary” myth continues to be one of the most vicious of all the myths, and the most racist. Even in recent days, newspapers such as the Boston Globe uncritically and unquestioningly show photographs of black victims or black detainees with the immediate assertion that they must be mercenaries, despite the absence of any evidence. Instead we are usually provided with casual assertions that Gaddafi is “known to have” recruited Africans from other nations in the past, without even bothering to find out if those shown in the photos are black Libyans. The lynching of both black Libyans and Sub-Saharan African migrant workers has been continuous, and has neither received any expression of even nominal concern by the U.S. and NATO members, nor has it excited the interest of the so-called “International Criminal Court”. There is as little chance of there being any justice for the victims as there is of anyone putting a stop to these heinous crimes that clearly constitute a case of ethnic cleansing. The media, only now, is becoming more conscious of the need to cover these crimes, having glossed them over for months.

http://www.counterpunch.org/2011/08/31/the-top-ten-myths-in-the-war-against-libya/
Al jazeera, CNN, the bbc, and all the other western media propaganda outlets spread this terrible lie about black africans being mercenaries for gadaffi and this is what these racist rebels are using as an excuse to carry out ethnic cleansing throughout libya.  These scum have always had an innate hatred for black africans because gadaffi favoured many black libyans with good jobs and housing, many members of his inner circle are black libyans and this enraged many of those racists over in the eastern region of libya.  These racist rebel scum are being protected by the western press who continue to peddle this terrible lie, the western media covers up the atrocities that these scum are committing against black libyans and other black africans currently trapped in libya .

can you imagine what westerners would have done if white europeans were being killed by these rebel scum? and yet you have s.tupid id.iots like all4naija parrotting these terrible lies like the braindead douche bag he is without any substantiated evidence whatsoever.  we live in a world where an african life is worth nothing to the european or arab and that is why the genocide of black africans is getting little or no coverage on any mainstream western media channel.

this is why i know that GEJ is a total failure who will get his comeuppance for his pathetic stance on libya.

I keep reading comments from radicals who profess that the west is trying to suck all the oil out of Iraq, Lybia, and elsewhere. Guess what folks, without the west being there you would all still be using a camel to get around and living in tents. Your countries and each individual has benefited greatly from the "SALE" of your oil to the west. The very computer you are using was created with oil products so stop with the stealing of your oil nonsince and get an education, of which by the way is provided by the west again. If you want to go back to living in a cave, riding a camel, and smelling like donkey dong, then by all means set yourself up in the desert and everyone will leave you alone. Just don't speak for the other 99.9% of your people that are logical, educated and forward thinking. Besides oil and terrorism what else does the mideast have to offer the west?
first of all trade between the west and africa is regulated by the WTO which is slanted to favour western economies whilst simultaneously used to plunder and rip off african ones, in other words trade between the two parties is tilted in favour of the west.

secondly the western financial organsisation use debt to keep african countries in a permanent downward economic spiral

thirdly refusal to take on imf and world bank loans usually results in the african nation having economic sanctions imposed on it or if they desperately need your reesources - war - this is what happened with iraq and its whats happening with libya.

fourthly the west work actively to keep the above points in place PERMANENTLY - it is in their interest for africa to remain poor and weak, africa has been used for over a century to subsidise the higher standard of living enjoyed by the west.

What African Union are we talking about here? - oh you mean the group of no-good leaders whose chief objective is to sit tight till death like Mr. Khaddafi planned.

I actually agree with GEJ's positions here, but he probably didn't need to say it given that Nigeria is itself going through dire straits. However, the Western powers must have being seeking Nigeria's support, especially given South Africa's attitude. GEJ seems to be a tard too happy to oblige Western requests.

Bottomline, SERVES KHADDAFI RIGHT. Nobody called him into our affairs when he went public several months ago suggesting that Nigeria ought to be divided. Like GEJ, Khaddafi was not necessarily wrong, but it wasn't any of his business.
On this occassion i back the AU's stance - they are right in their refusal to recognise a murderous gang who i hear are getting ready to institute sharia law in libya. All throughout the conflict in libya the AU have appealed to america and the EU to stop the bombing and allow a peaceful resolution but NATO were not interested in this becuase their aim was to foment total chaos in libya, well since you say it serves gaddafi right, hope you are bracing yourself for africom becuase it is headed towards nigeria. if you think NATO's expansionist plans will just stop in libya you have another think coming. Africom which is the military wing of the pentagon is now moving foward with their earlier plan to militarise and recolonise the entire continent, the next targeted countries are eritrea, zimbabwe and sudan, nigeria and angola are targets also because of the oil reserves which america seeks to "secure" out of the reach of the chinese (just like they've done with libya)

NATO's long term plan for africa is to set up military bases all over it destabilise it by using the divide and rule tactics which are currently being used in nigeria by way of boko haram and thereby plunge the entire continent into a state of permanent chaos which will leave it weak and ineffectual.

hope you're looking forward to all of that.

At least we still have some politicians in nigeria who can still think straight
When you look at the way that america treats african leaders you can see that they have no iota of respect for our continent, think about it, a criminal gang who have been helped into office by an equally criminal gang of terrorists are now making veiled threats to the remaining african countries that have refused to accept the criminal TNC, a criminal gang that are still going from house to house in tripoli massacring black people and yet america still expects african countries to turn a blind eye to all of that and accept them. this is further evidence that the west have zero regard for africans.
Goodluck Jonathan and the other african pawns that have accepted this murderous regime are a disgrace.

As for the rebels being Al Qaeda. What a dunce. There's another huge difference between there being elements of Al Qaeda amongst the rebels and the majority of the rebels being Al Qaeda. fu.k wit the only reason people like you and I are allowed in this country is because we are a source of cheap labour  - end of  - as a matter of fact a white south african, zimbabwean or new zealander will always be given preferntial treatment over a black african in this country in terms of jobs, housing you name it - any day, so snap out of your house negro mindset of - "massa am so grateful for being given the opportunity to live in the UK bullshit" because 99.99% of british people would have all of us deported at the drop of a hat if they had their way.

Bastage:
You pathetic little man. There's a difference between eye witness reports and saying "We've heard reports that Saif Al Islam has been captured".

Your link regarding Africans being murdered is the sort of reporting that you're crying about - opinionated BS with no foundation in truth.

Even now, with thousands of credible eye witness reports you try to lie and cheat your way through a ridiculous argument.

The rebels are Al Qeada? Let me tell you my ignorant, lying friend - there are 6 million people in Libya. Well over 5 million are glad to see the back of Gaddafi. Yet according to the laughable propaganda you spout, they're all terrorists.

You're a dying breed. The tyrants and dictators you support are falling. Whilst they do so, they expose the blind, ignorant hatred in your arguments, leaving your voice as nothing but a fart in the wind.

You accuse others of wearing shackles yet your chains are much, much tighter. They are the chains of delusion, hatred and crass ignorance which grow tighter and tighter with each sentence of peurile bile which you spew.
you are a platinum plated dunce - WHAT THE fuc.k  DO YOU CALL THIS!!!!!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8714931/Libya-Saif-al-Islam-Gaddafi-detained-by-rebels-ICC-confirm.html

st.upid semi literate morons like yourself think everyone else is as slow as you are but if you read the above link you will find that it refers to a CONFIRMED REPORT FROM THE ICC no less - are you usually this thick? (thats a rhetorical question dont answer it)

AND FUC.K WIT since when did actual video footage of rebels brandishing machete's over the heads of handcuffed black africans become OPINIONATED BS - i really wish you could be airlifted into tripoli and dumped in the midst of these rebels - im sure that would kickstart your slow brain.

f.uck wit are you actually trying to DENY that black africans ARE NOT BEING MURDERED AS WE SPEAK IN TRIPOLI!!!!!

fuc.k  wit - news flash!!! - even the americans know that the rebels are al qaeda - infact just the other day the americans released one that they had been holding as a prisoner of war in a bangkok prison and drafted him into tripoli to become the MILITARY COMMANDER OF  THE REBELS - bleep WIT HERE IS THE LINK:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HExo83PNE_w

what really amazes me about shameless africans like yourself  is your level of self loathing, even europeans who have seen these videos are raising questions as to why their govts would fund such bloodthirsty murderers but not the dim circus trained buffoon aka bastage, taught to swallow and follow - thats your philosophy, no wonder people look at africans with derision.

bleed wit if tyrants are indeed falling - why is the kingdom of saudi arabia still intact? why is the kingdom of bahrain still intact, why is the kingdom of qatar still ,  oh forget it you are too fu,ckg stup.d to get what im driving at.

bleed wit go back to sleep as you are way out of your depth on this issue.

^^ probably because I saw his daughter-in-law's nanny who had her scalp boiled off for being snotty. Hard to see that and not detest such a man.

As for NATO going round the continent, its about time. Too many tyrants who need removal. About time we threw off the shackles. About time we chased away the false prophets. The prophets of doom who kept shouting that farmer jones would come back if we removed them. The same idiots who still shout colonialism while their wives and kin loot us through the back door.

A pox on them and their bastard supporters. Mugabe & CO.

As for the nigerian idiots who cannot read without being critical, your nationalism is twisted if it cannot see those ideologies for what they are.

Awolowo was proved right at the end of the day, The sole point of any ideology should be the development of the average man and any crappy ideologies/ideologues that refuse to account for this will be consigned to the rubbish dump of history.

So dont come here spewing some ultra-brain-dead anti-colonialist anti-imperialist neo-marxist deluded psychobabble-bull-poo.

The NEW NIGERIA has no place for the sheep, the slogan-shouters of dead 70's economic philosophies.

This is the generation of the pragmatic.

The ones who are aware that Nigeria must do what is in her best interest not some silly afro-centric philosophy that has gotten us nowhere.

As the yoruba will say, If the flames are burning the mother and child, the mother saves herself before saving the baby.

We have enough problems and should not be saving all manner of silly tyrants just to satisfy the hate-filled wet-dreams of a jobless london-bred runaway nigerian.
what the fuc.k was all that crap you just posted up there??

when you were  spewing all of that sh.it out of your backside did you even stop to see if it made any sense?

so you think NATO's and africom's plan to militarise the entire continent will benefit africa - are you f.ckg ret.arded?  i thought i told you in my last post to you that NATO couldnt give a sh.t whether there are a million tyrants running african countries, dummy THEY've been arming and funding them as far back as the 1960s, how do you think mobutu, paul biya, blaise campaore, omar bongo and yoweri museveni had been able to stay in power for so long?

kindly get it through your dense skull - NATO DOES NOT GIVE A FUC.K ABOUT AFRICA OR AFRICAN PEOPLE, its interest in african only extends to your natural resources you dumb mess. NATO IS READY TO WIPE OUT THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF AFRICA IF YOU STAND IN THE WAY - JEEZ -HOW DUMB ARE YOU, im beginning to think that you need electric shock treatment to wake you up from your coma.

You have never thrown off any shackles - you are still under colonial rule, the british only granted you independence in name only you dumbass, thats why the january 66 coup had to be stopped in its tracks, the british handed the keys to the castle to the northerners and they didnt want any other tribe in nigeria to interfere with that arrangement.

awolowo whom you quote was a sell out who sided with his former oppressors thinking that he would get a piece of the cake (the nigerian presidency ) in the end he was hoodwinked by the northerners who were stooges of the west.

The new nigeria is firmly in the hands of the western international financial organisations and the multi nationals - your supposed president is nothing but an errand boy for these institutions and he has no real power, this is a man who cant even guarantee the security of his country and runs crying to the west to help him investigate massive security lapses.

what you have failed to grasp is that nigerian leaders like obj and ibb sold all of you out years ago to the IMF - thats why your standard of living keeps getting worse on a yearly basis, thats why your currency has been devalued, thats why foreign multinationals are buying up all your public services, thats why your govt continues to cut funding on education and health year after year -  you are firmly in the grip of the economic reforms recommneded by the IMF, the next one coming your way any day now are the removal of subsidies on fuel, WAKE UP YOU DREAMER!!!!!

As expected, widespread racist murders in Libya at the hands of rebel forces revealed

Madison Ruppert, Contributing Writer

The mainstream media is already engaging in widespread damage control in an attempt to mitigate the fallout of the reality of the situation in Libya and the withering NATO-sponsored narrative of post-Gaddafi Libya.

They are called “Gaddafi loyalists”, “Sub-Saharan mercenaries” and other phrases all pointing to the unfortunate reality that every single black person is now considered by the rebels to be a mercenary hired by Gaddafi.

The Libyan rebels and those carrying water for them in the Western media are now attempting to conceal the fact that they are now committing crimes against humanity in the active targeting of innocent black Libyans.

Some call the attacks “reprisals” or “revenge,” but in reality they are hateful murders carried out by the al Qaeda-affiliated, Western backed and trained rebels.

These killings are irrefutably tied to the wildly racist and wholly unfounded claims that Gaddafi hired Sub-Saharan African mercenaries to murder his own people during the uprising.

Unfortunately for the painfully ignorant rebels and their Western compatriots, this is simply not true and has never been verified in any way.

As I covered in my article about the “waves of disinformation” emanating out of Libya, even the New York Times now is forced to admit that there is no substantiation for the claims whatsoever.

The rebels have alleged that they captured these so-called mercenaries, but quite conveniently they have never been able to show a single international journalist these captured fighters.

Why? It is pretty simple: there are no black mercenaries that were being used to kill Libyans. In fact, there have been no verified instances of Gaddafi ordering the targeting of peaceful civilians in Libya.
This aspect of the false narrative was debunked so long ago that it seems most of the mainstream media has dispensed with it altogether.

However, the representatives of the undemocratic, racist (notice there are no black Libyan rebel leaders, interesting, isn’t it?) and thoroughly corrupt National Transitional Council continue to peddle these tired lies.

I was watching the Qatari propaganda outlet Al Jazeera earlier today and I witnessed a fascinating exchange between a homogenous panel of “experts” discussing the future of Libya and the relations with the African Union.

One member of the panel was a spokesman for the illegitimate Libyan NTC. This individual parroted every single thoroughly vetted and discredited rebel claim that they have been making since the first days of the conflict.

These included “mass violation”, enormous numbers of civilians allegedly killed by Gaddafi and the hiring of Sub-Saharan mercenaries to fight the people of Libya.

Despite the fact that all of these claims have remained unsubstantiated and some have been completely discredited altogether, the moderator and a professor at Oxford University all nodded in agreement and sat silently by while the rebel spokesman continued to spew pure propaganda and lies.

I was quite disgusted by this lack of journalistic integrity on the part of Al Jazeera. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised that a station funded by the first Arab nation to drop bombs on innocent people in Libya would be propagandizing the ignorant members of their audience.

are there some news articles that are meant for NL and some for the outer world??, who wrote this crap!
and i think the managers of this site owe us the responsibility of checking the sources of the news they publish , you can imagine anytime you read som'tn on NL you first start from a skeptical perspective and in the end may end up not even reading it completely because u think it's false.

They shd let us know if it's a site for teenagers or bedtime stories for toddlers, the last time was Giggs slept with his brother's wife etc,

or simply put a caveat/disclaimer against the stories with unsure source or som'tn similar

deji i want to congratulate you for trying your hardest to educate the legion of ignoramuses that make it a point of duty to frequent this forum.

can someone please explain to me why a tyrant would pay for your education right up to university level?

why would he also give you a monthly allowance of $500 as of right?

i mean what is it with nigerians, even in the so called democratic western world education is not free and very soon health care is going to be privatised in many european countries and run by profit making organisations, in america health care is not free either, neither is education.

for those nigerians screaming themselves hoarse in support of the "rebels" it might interest you to know that as we speak they are massacring hundreds of black skinned africans including nigerians - these are your heroes - shame on all of you!!!

this is an excerpt from an article written by an independent belgian journalist (its been translately from french to english thats why the grammar isnt that good):

MASSACRE OF BLACKS BY REBELS IN LIBYA:

The Associated Press announced coldly killing a group of black people in a camp set up in front of the presidential residence Jamahiriya. Dozens of dead bodies were found with hands tied behind their backs. The agency said that they were not combatants. Michel Collon and the delegation had visited the site in July had met the men who love Libya.

Michel Collon:

"I met these people during my mission in Tripoli. I could talk to some people. They were not "mercenaries" as we say the "rebels" and the media. Some were dark-skinned Libyans (much of the population is of African type in fact), others were civilians from black African countries and stayed in Libya for a long time. All supported Gaddafi precisely because it was opposed to racism and he treated Arabs and Africans on an equal footing. Unlike the "rebels" in Benghazi, known for their anti-Black racism and are guilty of 'appalling atrocities and systematic in the first days of war. The paradox is that NATO claims to bring democracy and that combined with a section Libyan al Qaeda and the type of racist Ku Klux Klan! "

Any team Investig'Action is upset by this sad news.

Simon de Beer Investig'Action member of the camp

"Thousands of black Africans living in Libya. I had the opportunity to talk with many of them, including the camp of Bab al-Aziziyah. Gaddafi Most are in one of the fathers of Africa. They do not hesitate to compare it to Lumumba and Sankara. This may seem surprising given from abroad, but we must never forget that in the poorest continent, Libya is an exception: life expectancy is 75 years, water, electricity, health care and education are free, including a full costing just over a dollar ,  That's why millions of Africans support largely Gaddafi. I was shocked to learn the brutal death of those who, in solidarity with the regime, peacefully camped outside the residence of Kadhafi. Their murder is an act of barbarism and free.

How can we even dare to describe the rebel forces of "democratic"?

The Human Development Index according to the UN - United in 2009. In Africa, only Libya is close to the level of  developed countries. This is why many Africans  emigrate to live and work.

Mohamed Hassan, an expert on Africa with an African chief. Read his interview about the mission in Tripoli.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tony Busselen, a journalist with the weekly Solidarity , attended the same mission, a few weeks ago: "Our photos show that these people were unarmed civilians, there were very many women and children. I told them spoke, they were very mobilized against the war and they did not understand what Europe wanted. They told me: "But here is a country that works, the achievements are much better than in Africa is very good for us, and Europe is bombing! is incomprehensible. "They were highly motivated to defend Libya because they could compare their country of origin. It's really that barbaric massacre unarmed people in tying their hands behind his back, they were simple people, workers came spontaneously to defend their new homeland. It's really fear and I saw pictures of the same acts committed in Benghazi by the "rebels" who almost real terror. So when I see people in Tripoli "applaud" the rebels, I think they are just terrified. NATO brings terror. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ilse Grieten ( INTAL ): "When I see it, I can not believe it. We had already heard so many stories of atrocities committed by the rebels, and it is these people that we support and arming!? I'm angry again, and every day! These people are so honest, hundreds representing many African countries, all in and around their tents for months, convinced that we must support Gaddafi and Libya as an example for Africa. I can still hear them say: "Libya is the mother of Africa." They showed us in practice of African unity. They all wanted to speak to us to understand that this was an attack against Africa and its raw materials. Libya is the gateway to Africa. I hope their voices will finally be heard. Why NATO and the rebels did they refuse this peace proposal of the African Union (53 countries)? Why have we never heard of this? For them, Gaddafi is a symbol of African Unity, the man who protects his neocolonial pillage against looting. The man who has done more for Africa than their own leaders. "
