Foreign Affairs › Re: Biafran Son/Daughter Won In The British Election & Become Parliamentary MPs! by cap28: 4:10pm On May 16, 2010
Only a clueless nigerian like eziachi would come on here to express his gratitude for a "biafran son" winning a safe labour seat in a predominantly black working class constituency - according to the delusional world of eziachi the sun shines out of the backside of this guy and his labour party colleagues,  under the labour party or new labour as they have been known since they took power from the tories in 1997 the gap between the rich and the poor in this country has increased, racism has been on the rise and the standard of living of most working class british people has plummeted and yet Eziachi took it upon himself to pound the streets of streatham in order to urge black people to vote for one of their representatives "a proud biafran son".

Is it that you are totally devoid of any intelligence that you still havent understood british politics despite having lived here since the early 70's?  the election result should even tell you that the white british people couldnt even bring themselves to vote in labour because they have seen through their lies and deceit.
None of the 3 major parties were able to achieve a majority and that should tell you that the british people have no confidence in any of these parties and yet Eziachi who understands nothing about politics is shouting from the rooftops about a young man who is nothing more than a token black man being used by the labour party in order to fool blacks who make up a tiny minority in this country that they have a voice in this country.

Eziachi are you aware that it was under the blair and brown govt that a DNA database which had been set up to collate the DNA of potential criminal suspects began to collect samples from vast numbers of black people in this country.

Despite the fact that  black people make up only 2.9% of the population in this country they constitute 27% of the number of people on this database, whereas whites who make up over 80% of the population make up 6% and asians 9%.

keep on deceiving yourself by identifying with these people who continue to plot your downfall

Eziachi:
Do you really have to respond to very thing you read? Instead of talking rubbish, why not save your energy? I am happy that the son of a friend of mine has won an election in a very conservative nation as a black man and you are having isues with it and asking what the big deal?

The big deal is that fact that the likes of Chuka, Dianne Abbort, Paul Boateng and David Lammy are the reason you are still in Thamesmead illegally committing credit card fraud or marrying your own sister in your usual sham marriages in order to live in that country without being deported yet back to your paradise in Nigeria.

All these guys you are insulting are not in Westminster to represent black people alone but but their entire constituents. If you think they are not good enough , why not better their achievements?

Like I said, you don't have to respond to everything you see or read with your nonesesical gabbage that has no link to the thread. Few years you have lived illegally in the U.K, you are now an expert on black people in that country. Get real!!
but i still fail to see why one black man who never even grew up in nigeria and probably knows very little about the country should be giving you cause to celebrate, what impact will his victory have on the average black person in the UK.

dont you think that it is high time you outgrew this childish sycophantic behaviour of praising anyone who has any remote connection with igbos or nigeria, why cant you focus on the collective progress of blacks as a race and not this pathetic tribalistic outlook which has not gotten you anywhere for over 50 years of so called independence.

this is a public forum and you cannot dictate to me about what i should or should not respond to - just learn to debate like an adult.

Inferiority complex is the last thing any sane person should associate the Igbo with. In fact it is a compliment to us , because it means Nigerians are changing their attitude towards us. Hitherto, it was that Igbos always feel superior to others, hence the jealousy and conspiracy against us.
I wish we had that "inferiority complex" in the 60s, we wouldn't have been singled out for the mistakes of trying to be patriotic and pan Africanist. It cost us DEARLY; others simply played on our naivete to make hay and corner the collective patrimony for the following 40 years.

Have you ever asked yourself how the Igbo became second class citizens in Nigeria for 40 years (since after the war) even after they led the quest for independence in the 50s?
Have you ever wondered why Ndigbo only get to peep from the outside, while the national cake is being played like ping pong between Hausa and Yoruba?
Have you ever wondered why the most enterprising and gregarious group of Africans (the Igbo) are scattered all over the world hustling, instead of being home in their own country?
Have you ever been to the south east and seen the federal roads?

Answer these questions first before accusing me of anything.

Yes an international airport (stuff that other Nigerians have taken for granted for many years) is big deal to us. sad angry I don't blame you. You are used to normalcy; we are not; and both of us are Nigerians. undecided sad You sounded glib by questioning the impact of an international airport on the life of an average Igbo. Let me give you one example:
Whenever I come into Nigeria from my adopted country, I am forced to land in Lagos (though I dread that!), then I'm forced to either take another plane from Lagos to Enugu or Owerri. I don't fly locally in Nigeria because of poor safety records of local airlines. So I'm forced to drive for 7 hours to the east. On the road, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN -armed robbers, accidents, etc. Imagine if I can land in Asaba, it'll take me 16 minutes to be in my town. So, my friend, it is a BIG DEAL to us. I know you've never known such hardship. Welcome to my own Nigeria. And it happened because my brother Nzeogwu had a dream.

Believe me, I am not interested in any other conspiracy theory except the ones perpetrated on me by my fellow countrymen. No foreigner told Obasanjo to promise me an international airport in Enugu and a second bridge across the Niger only to renege and scheme me into minority status in Nigeria.
onlytruth the first thing you have to do is stop this  obsession with those old generals - they have nothing to offer you  or any other igbo person, IBB is a traitor he will betray you at the drop of a hat, Ojukwu has already demonstrated how loyal he is when the going gets tough, these old brigade have had their chance and they blew it, its now time to focus on a new era without clinging on to the coat tails of people who will only lead you into a pit.

Forget about what IBB has "promised" ndigbo - its not going to  happen and if it does it will only be used by him as a way to manipulate the igbos for his own personal gain.

One thing i will say is that the  igbos are an intelligent race of people who had it not been for selfish leaders in  the form of Ojuwkwu could have formed a great nation, capable of operating as a first world nation, this is why the british insisted that they were not to be given power.

of course i know why the igbos became second class citizens in nigeria, they were singled out as trouble makers by the british and were not to be trusted with power - its that simple - the timid and controllable hausas were seen as a "safe pair of hands" by their slave masters.

i think you are still making a very big mistake in looking at things from a tribalistic mindset, you will not acheive anything if you limit yourself in this way, nigerians must understand that if they want to form a viable nation that can compete with western nations they are going to have to ignore ethnic differences and concentrate on fighting as one people.

I know its a different society, but its kinda scary to have him so upfront about it huh
You and your kleptocrat leaders who beleive in God how fantastic are your lives, on every corner you will find a church in nigeria being run by a fraudulent pastor but look at the deplorable state of the country, look at the kind of conditions that the poor are forced to live in, but in the UK where most of the churches are empty every sunday, the poor live with dignity and are taken care of by the state, so if i were you i wouldnt spend too much time worrying about the fact that Nick Clegg doesnt beleive in God because that is irrelevant, in this country people are more concerned about the content of your character and whetehr you are a man of your word rather than what church or mosque you go to, im sure IBB is a devout muslim and of course OBJ is a "born again christian" but look at what they did to your country.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Biafran Son/Daughter Won In The British Election & Become Parliamentary MPs! by cap28: 6:45pm On May 08, 2010
so let me get this right im supposed to give a damn because your son's friend Chuka Umunna won a labour party seat for Streatham - big deal - what difference will that make in the scheme of things for blacks in this country, David Lammy, Diane Abbot Paul Boateng what difference did they make for their black constituencies - ill tell you, nothing, slave mentality and inferiority complex is what will bring about the demise of the black race - i have said it.

David Lammy - useless, gutless, never tackles the real issues facing blacks in the UK and never challenges the racist policies of this country  content to just bask in the glory of being a black MP

Diane Abbott - hypocritical and useless, rode on the backs of black voters to secure her safe seat of Hackney and has done nothing for the blacks who live in one of the most deprived boroughs in london which she claims to represent

Paul Boateng - opportunist, hypocrite, more interested in being a career politician than challenging racist policies of the british labour party.

So if you think Chuka Umunna is going to become this radical black politician who will challenge the status quo you better put down that spliff you ve been smoking and wake up to the real world of british politics.

Just in case im not getting through to you, black people in british politics are used for window dressing purposes , they have no influence, no power, and no agenda, they are there to make up the numbers so that the party machinery can pretend as if they are an inclusive party catering to the needs of "multicultural britain" excuse me while i throw up.

Thank you my brother! Imagine how strategically important to Igbo Asaba will become after the international airport is completed. I didn't want to list other things IBB gave us because some folks will start developing a heart attack here. The truth is that we (Ndigbo) actually gained far more from IBB's rule than from the Ota gorilla's 8 year reign of terror.
What I would never forget is the title given to IBB by Ndigbo - "Ogugua ndigbo" (the consoler or comforter of Igbos). IBB actually tried to normalize our position in Nigeria, while Obasanjo tried to scheme us out completely. And guess what, the Ota farmer is still in charge (at least till next year). Under Obasanjo, Ndigbo became a minority group in Nigeria.
The good thing about our situation is that we are NOT powerless about it at all . We CAN do something about it. But, it starts with us first understanding the game. Folks are here trying to keep us from understanding the game.
We don't have to fall for their tricks. On IBB I stand. cool
inferiority complex and low self esteem is what will kill igbo people like you, so because of an airport you are getting palpitations - did IBB promise that he will award the construction contract to you or your brothers, you are really pathetic, how does the construction of an international airport in asaba impact the average igbo person's life, are igbos going to be given jobs for life following its construction?  this is why i say we are doomed as a people.

As long as you continue to miss the reall issues and keep bickering over tribalism you will continue to be taken advantage of by these old generals, so you think IBB is any better than OBJ - how did you work that out, are they not serving the same master, I would advise you to go and read poltical analyst Chinweizu Ibekwe's analysis of nigerian politics where he very aptly describes people like you who find it almost impossible to get it through their skulls that their country is being run by a group of oligarchs on behalf of the west, why is that so difficult for you to understand, why cant you see that IBB does not need the igbos and therefore is not under any obligation to do anything for any igbo person. His allegiance is to his paymasters the IMF, World Bank, Shell the British govt and the US govt, these are the people who make up your economic policy, these are the people who dictate how much they will buy your crude oil, these are the people who determine whether they are going to continue to protect you from being toppled in a military coup d'etat by rival factions within this corrupt system.  You are unhinged if you think igbos have any clout within this system.

all because their wives were sleeping around with other men, and some of them were SLUTS!!!

some of the children were killed by gun, some were given killer drugs to drink,

some were strangled to death and some were thrown down from high storie building.

I was on tears when reading this book and all happened in UK. Now tell me, is that a life of reality?

BULLSH!T!!! . . .  I THINK BOTH OF U SUCKS!
ranocsky or whatever you call yourself, are you still smoking that indian hemp along with those your area boys who  sleep under the bridge with you  in ajegunle?, why are you raking because im telling you the truth about your miserable country?  i will repeat what i said the average nigerian is living a life of misery and despair - why are you denying it, do you think the way you  live is how human beings elsewhere in the world  live ? constant power cuts, terrible infrastructure, galloping inflation, mass poverty, escalating unemployment, squalid housing, brutal and repressive dictatorship govts, does this sound like the way a normal society is supposed to be run, but being a nation of gutless cowards and sychophants all you do is go to church and give money to those fake pastors and imams who deceive you and lie to you. the truth as they say is bitter, why are you getting angry with me, get angry with those 75 year old generals that have hijacked your economy and destroyed your future, im sure you are one of those sychophants who go around praising and arse licking the likes of obj, ibb and all those other old bastards that have destroyed your destiny, why dont you focus on those animals, save your curses for them not me.

You talk about immorality in the UK - you obviously have been walking around wearing a blindfold, so are you telling me there is no immorality in nigeria, is this not the same country where women adopt prostitution as a means to supplement their income, where nobody asks how you made your money, where all that matters is that you are a big boy or big girl who drives a jeep and lives on ill gotten wealth, i read a story of a young man who actually lured his 18 year old girlfriend to a secluded area and beheaded her in order to use her head for ritualisitic sacrifices so that he could "make money" can you imagine that!! and you have the guts to compare a society where human life is worth less than that of a fly to the UK society which actually caters for its poor people, where nobody sleeps on the streets and where people no matter how low they are in society can still live with dignity.  Since you wish me death because i have told you truth about nigeria - i pray that it bounces back onto you tenfold - animal!!!

I can't hold back tears seeing the man dead. Man is very forgetful. After leaving that graveside, and back into the comfort of their homes/offices, our Muslim politicians/leaders will forget, and go back to their bad, corrupt ways.

His death really touched me as a person, and shed tears anytime I saw the pictures, including this morning.

If only we Muslims can learn from this.
its two faced hypocrites like you that make me sick to my stomach, what are you shedding crocodile tears for now that he has gone, why werent you up in arms when nigerians were kept in the dark about his whereabouts way back in december, perhaps you lost out on the contracts that were being dished out by his cronies - could that be what is prompting the tears?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Black Colonialists: The Root Of The Trouble With Africa - Chinweizu by cap28: 3:09pm On May 08, 2010
AjanleKoko:
@cap28,

Just think about what Chinweizu is saying

The black race will be exterminated if we do not create a Black Superpower before the end of this century.

The problem is, modern African blacks seem to be deluded into thinking that they are accepted into the developed society, because they are now 'citizens' of Europe and the Americas. So not having a homeland is not really such a big deal. They are now 'British' and 'Americans'.

What's the worth of a British or American passport? Some would argue, safety, security, the chance to live in a comfortable environment, bla bla bla.

I'm sure all the black men in maximum-security prisons in the US, all the unemployed black men in the various ghettos in Europe and America, all have full-fledged citizenship of those nations.

We should learn from the Asians, who have by far a deeper and more entrenched footprint in the developed world, and yet don't joke around with their motherland. If we know what's good for ourselves, we had better find a way to get our black civilization off the ground.
Ajanlekoko i had to google chinweizu in order to read more of his articles and i was delighted at what i found, the man is an outstanding scholar, his articles are erudite and engaging , none of this  use of big grammar and convoluted jargon that some of these other so called academics hide behind,  i honestly beleive that his books should be required reading for nigerians of all ages, his warnings about the impending extermination of the black race is chilling but it doesnt suprise me, if you look at the situation of black people in every country around the world we are in a position of subservience and subjugation.

his commentary on the black compradore class is an eye opener, the average nigerian should seriously start paying attention to what this man is stating as many of the things he wrote about 20 years ago  are actually happening as we speak.

i was pleasantly suprised to find that he also agrees with the ideology of marcus garvey another great black leader who warned blacks in america that they faced marginalisation, poverty, exploitation and finally extinction if they did not found a nation state in africa which would enable them realise their right to self determination  - at the time that he made these assertions two attempts were made to kill him by the FBI, eventually the americans orchestrated his downfall by using traitorous blacks in america to sabotage an organisation he founded , he was eventually framed on trumped up charges of mail order fraud and thrown in jail and then deported to England.  The americans were so afraid of him going to his own country (Jamaica) to rally his people that he was banned from returning there until his death in 1940.  In addition he was banned from entering africa because of the danger the whites felt that he posed to their ongoing colonialism project on that  continent.
In 1966 his body was exhumed from its grave in london and flown back to Jamaica where he was given a state funeral.

Garvey advised blacks in america to found a nation state free from white control but he was demonised by other blacks in america as a communist and mad man.

i really want to read more about chinweizu and i have been browsing the internet looking for more of his interviews, speeches etc

For those nigerians who think they are safe because they have taken on citizenships of foreign nations i would ask them not to forget what happened to the jews of europe, when the back lash against the Jews started they became a target of extreme xenophobia from people who were once their friends and neighbours almost every european nation colluded with the nazis in the mass extermination of the jews aka the "final solution" culminating in the loss of a reported 6 million jewish lives.

can you post some more links with his interviews, speeches or books please, as he is the lone voice in the middle of the desert preaching the truth.

thanks

you people have all been fooled and tricked as usual - yaradua was murdered last december, look at the faces of his relatives they are griefstricken because they know the truth, he did not die on 5 may that is a gigantic lie, the man was murdered last december, why didnt he lie in state so that the nigerian people could see him before being buried, what kind of country are we living in where we are told lies and like sheep we swallow everything with no challenge?

Look at his widow's face and bodylanguage she knows the truth but the powers that be have bought her silence.

why did they bury him in a closed coffin and why have they placed him in a nondescript hole in the ground like a common criminal - these are all the questions nobody is asking.

i beleive that his body was not in that coffin hence the decision not to make it an open coffin and his body had probably been disposed of way back in december 2009. one day the truth will come out.

Katsumoto:
I was never against the argument you were making. I made the same argument on another thread about Nigeria borrowing from the IMF. I made exactly the same points as you have articulated. The point that I want you to see is that countries that continue mis-manage funds and embezzle will continue to put their citizens through suffering. Unfortunately, most of these countries are African and Asian. We can continue to blame the Westerners for strategically undermining our survival but they do not do it alone; government is responsible for acting in the best interests of its people and it is often said that a peiople deserve the government that they have. Try comparing Greece, Italy, etc with Germany, Sweden in terms of corruption, spending, savings etc and you get the picture.
Katsumoto the thing you have failed to acknowledge is the overall picture here, the Greek scenario is actually part of a bigger game plan on the part of international finanacial organisations to covertly take over sovereign states, this is no longer about certain countries mismanaging the funds of their respective economie - this is now about a pre determined plan by predatory financial institutions to takeover sovereign nations.

you say that this cannot be done where the soveriegn state operates good governance - well i beg to differ, good governance is subjective, african leaders such as Dr Kwame Nkrumah tried to operate what they considered as good governance by trying to introduce economic poliicies which would enable african countries to become industrialised and self sufficient what happened to him and his policies, he of course was removed from power by the americans and a group of corrupt generals were helped into power by the west - the truth of the matter is the west have a designated role that they have created for africa - supplier of cheap raw materials and cheap labour, any attempt to deviate from this designated role is met by extreme opposition from the west, usually in the form of western backed and financed coup detats, economic isolation and in some cases millitary attack - you have failed to understand that nigeria is not a soveriegn state, nigeria does not make its own economic policies, washington and london creates nigerian economic policies and the nigerian oligarchs implement these policies in accordance with instructions handed down from washington - this is known as the washington consensus made up of economic policies devised by the world bank and the IMF designed to CRIPPLE AFRICA not help it  grow, until you understand that concept you will continue to keep living under the illusion that the problem with africa is solely centred around bad leadership, its deeper than just bad leadership its about a CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY on the part of the west to SUBJUGATE and DESTROY an entire continent.
Politics › Re: Ojukwu Backs Babangida For 2011 Polls by cap28: 12:25pm On May 08, 2010
Katsumoto:
Firstly cut out the insults; there is no need for that.
Secondly, there are two arguments here, moral and economic arguments. You are using a moral argument to supplement an economic argument. That the IMF is an immoral or capitalist institution is not the basis of my argument. My argument is that Greece needs assistance and unfortunately that assistance requires conditions. You want to put the mess a soverign country is in on a corporate body? Please stop that left wing crap. Why are Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Australia not running to the IMF? The answer is good governance. You try to support your argument by using Nigeria has an example!!!! I rest my case.
katsumoto apologies for the insults its just that i get wound up when people make excuses for a system which for all intents and purposes has nothing positive to  offer humanity.

Katsumoto how can you make a distinction between what you see on the one hand aS a moral argument and an economic one - the two issues are not mutually exclusive and should not be treated separately, failure to address this problem now will spell doom for any soveriegn state with a weak economy and rising debt, now no sovereign state will be safe from this marauding group of investment bankers that will now be capable of instigating an economic takeover of any soveriegn state.

The fact that some countries are currently not under attack from the wall street investment banking fraudsters - (because make no mistake about this - this is an attack) does not necessarily mean that they will remain safe.  I fail to see what economic argument you can make in favour of what goldman sachs did to the Greek economy, perhaps you could expand on that.

can you tell me what useful purpose financial instruments such as credit default swaps serve to the economy of any nation and its people?  who benefits from them?
