Ashely Young should not be starting for Man Utd. And Smalling and Matic. That's my main point.

If Young can't be sold this season he should be offered to Eyimba for free next year. He'll meet his hardworking peers there. He can stay near the box there and be crossing rubbish for Mohammed and Uchechukwu Obiora.

Smalling and Matic should be squad players at best.

My argument about Shaw in the beginning of the season were:

1. Our left side is our most important attacking outlet.

2. Shaw didnt appear to have attacking flair and his forward passing with one foot is weak.

3. Young has been our number one in that position and we remained very dangerous from there right from time of Van Gaal, and continued unto Mourinho. He was set to continue this seaon but injury prevented him. His ability to cut behind the defence line or cut back and pull out to far post for where Fellaini or Lukaku will be waiting was a big bonus. His crossing from the left is better than from the right. Even from his Villa days.

4. I would have taken Blind over Shaw based on their past attacking flair comparison.

This was where the argument began, and some wanted to rate Young with one or two games in that position where he had not played there whole season. This was same Young who was the only defender who pocketed Salah last season.

So how is asking for 50k increment destabilizing the dressing room? You pay top players high wages and DDG is one of the top players we have. We cannot say because Rashford, Lingard and the likes are asking for useless salary that they don’t warrant means we can’t pay our goalie the salary he deserves.

All through the contract negotiations till now, I have never seen DDG come out to talk about any shit. Man even sign a one year entension of his current contract so they could trash out the next contract. Man is loyal. Blame Ed for his cluelessness.
