irumole1975: Seriously, I've stopped reading the hype of these guys abroad because they're making some of us feel less achieved.
One was talking about a project of #250M hotel completed in Nigeria and I don't even know if na this same abroad I dey with them too. Also talked about him being here for just two years or so and he's bought a condo home, build many hostels for student in Nigeria and on his way to complete a #250Million hotel in Nigeria also.
I been here in this abroad and I can't even boast of $10k USD. It's well Sha. I just hope they're not lying with all these things they're saying.
Many are into shady deals. I'm in obodo oyinbo too and I've been travelling since 2003...., no be so money dey for tree as many always claim esp. with their fake life on social media. If you ask them what job they are doing, they will not give you any satisfactory answer. Scammers everywhere!
Zandena: Your hypocrisy stinks to the sky. Why not visiting the site of the accident as you used to do before election? Peter Obi the charlatan in chief!
An immediate emergency response is what is needed in that situation. He cannot control the emergency response in the state. So how will his visiting rescue the survivors?
It is called Stencil. Like the normal paper cut stencil for imprinting words or image neatly you can use it in writings. The font is carved for you so you can create a neatly and nice writing/prints. To say you don't know the purpose of that in 2023 when 5years old Chinese are already doing wonders in STEM fields is really worrisome to me. Are we creating people that can face future challenges at all in this country or we are just turning them into Agberos and thugs so we can use them for election violence?
Ceenachi: BRT re always acting like they own the road... this area they hv some guys tht use to stop cars when ever the train is coming maybe he did not listen to them... they are always rushing
Ideally, any road intersecting rail corridors should be blocked. Lagos state govt should know this now. As soon as the Ikeja bridge is ready, heavy and massive barricade should be placed on ALL rail intersection in that axis. Vehicles should move round to connect to either side. I know some stubborn people would still prefer to take the short cut that could cut short their lives.
IyaebeTheGreat: Original. Gbadebo oversabi quickly rush there and donated money (eye service). I don’t know how some people will allow that small boy Gbadebo to fool and deceive them. Avoid people who only show concern when they are contesting an election, they’ll abandon you when they win. What humanitarian services has Gbadebo ever involved in? Why is he suddenly all over the place? Is it right to vote someone who incite violence with his posts all over social media? Don’t vote someone that is not capable just because he’s in LP , you may later regret it. Think deep.
Good....now, let's download all the information on the BVAS used in every single polling units from #1 to #176,606 . But I doubt if even 1week will be sufficient for all the interested parties.
Dentidon: Use your brain and think. Funsho William was only a PDP hopeful yet to be PDP candidate while Tinubu wasn't even contesting in any election in 2007! So how could a normal brain think Tinubu who wasn't contesting in 2007 election would kill a PDP hopeful who was even yet to become PDP candidate bearer, since PDP hasn't even had their primaries? Dey use your brain small.
Sorry, I've watched enough crime cases and I'm well informed and know that smart and ardent criminals can go all way to mask themselves. Like I said, unless there's a proper investigation report from the Nigerian Police Force, we all are just speculating based on our political affiliation. Yes, Tinubu was not contesting, but PDP fans could also tell you that Fashola would have had no chance of winning the Governorship if Funsho Williams wasn't killed and that the opposition needed to "Off the lamp" before the primary in other to frame it on the PDP.......Hence the opposition masterminded it.
You get it now? Speculations will not help anybody because it can tilt in any direction. This is why you would observe when police are investigating a crime, they keep an open mind because they know from their experience that sometimes what people think isn't always true. There has been several cases where the person that cried most at a funeral is actually the killer of the deceased. If the police that are tasked and trained for investigating crime would not come with a definite answer, what would your small brain do? It can only go wild with imaginations. And Imaginations leads to speculations.
abbey621: People are deciding, BVAS is not a Constitutional requirement just an option, the sooner people realize this the better! Furthermore, I'm not in support of thuggery or manipulation, my main point of contention is you asking people not to play the tribal card. Free and fair does not mean people cannot build up their base. It does not mean we cannot use Yoruba pride as a catalyst to get our people to vote for the candidate with our interest at heart....That's all I'm saying!
Sure, why not? People should be free minded and it doesn't mean Yoruba people cannot vote other race too and vice versa. That's my point. All the best to whoever the people choose. Whatever the requirement is, the onus is on INEC to create a balanced and unbiased atmosphere, free, fair and credible election for us all.
diplomat058: I'm sorry but your analysis is trashy. It's woke Yorubas like you trying to put us in trouble. What if Rishi Sunak became PM of the UK? Did you ever hear the Indians claiming Great Britain as no man's land? Political liberalism is great when the people's senses of security are assured and they know for a fact that their legacies will not be eroded. If Oodua become a country, our indigenous ownership of our land will not be coveted by some morons and then, I would have no problems with allowing full blown social and political liberalism within the confines of our ethnic sovereignty as a nation - the Yoruba's. Until then, we need to adopt conservativism as a practice in dealing with others in Nigeria, lest we become too relaxed and our land become everybody's land while others ethnic groups' are exclusively theirs.
I understand your point vividly, but if you take Gbadebo as the case in view, and all the points people enunciated against him....that his Yoruba father never accepted his mum and he grew up under her Igbo mum does not make him less of a Lagosian. As a matter of fact, it speaks so badly of the Yoruba race that a man will get a woman pregnant and won't accept nor associate with the child. This line of thought also reminded me of a state governor that is invoking his immunity clause and refusing to clear his name in an alleged similar scandal......
Let's throw tribal sentiments aside and let's decide our fate with the votes. I don't really care who wins, but the process must be free, fair and credible devoid of voter's intimidation and electoral mal-practices. That is my whole point. Let's shout with the vote and elect our leaders with our votes and not resort to all these cheap and unacceptable racial cards. It has never taking us anywhere in this country.
abbey621: They say what's good for the goose is good for the?......We have Yorubas working/living in Igboland even cosmopolitan cities but they'll never smell the Senate or Rep seat not to talk of Governor's, before you shout have they contested, I know of at least 5 that were denied their party's primaries. Want to know why there's so much resistance to having an Igbo governor in Lagos? It is simple as the phrase, "Lagos is no man's land".......Forget the politically correct crap this issue is simple in the eyes of Yorubas, you want to take the crown jewel away, be prepared to pry it from the cold hands of death. Tinubu will never allow Lagos to fall to another party, forget the presidential election, this is his baby, his end game.
I love that you used the examples of Obama and Khan, now imagine if Obama identified with people that are saying America is a stolen land and does not belong to the Americans we know today, do you think he would have won? Perhaps if Khan had said London is not a British heritage but belongs to the multi ethnic minorities living there, do you think he would be where he is today? Talk is cheap man but if you allow your cousins to come into your papa's house and tell you the house belongs to all of una then be prepared for when your papa is no more and those cousins evict you.....Life is all about eat or be eaten!
You get all mixed up.....The whole point I'm making is, let people decide who they will vote for. Let the vote be the decider. Let's allow for a free, fair and credible election. If the so called owners are that popular, the vote will show it. We don't have to involve thuggery, violence, voter's suppression election mal-practices et al. INEC as the umpire would also need to do better and ensure BVAS is used to accredit and upload results right from the polling units.
FreeStuffsNG: Obviously, this is the fake version of Afenifere.
The authentic version with Asiwaju Tinubu will ignore them but speak with their votes like they did on March 25 across Yorubaland from Kogi to Kwara down to Lagos where they allowed a paltry 6.7k votes lead while clearing all the Senate seats and 20 out of 24 HOR seats!
That these fake afenifere could ignore the bigoted tweets and inexperience of Mr Chinedu Rhodes-Vivor gives them away as fake Afenifere faction.
A Pa Abraham Adesanya will never endorse Mr Chinedu who can not even speak Yoruba.
They will lose and by this time next week, like Mr Obi's lp mob, all the reckless insensitivities will be placed in the dust bin as Sanwo Olu gets re-elected in a landslide victory. check my signature for free stuffs!
There are people that believe in justice and equity. When I was in Pry 3, I was in my aunt's class and she would never thought of giving me the first position nor falsified my marks. I still remember coming 3rd behind Rachael Onwuachusi and Tunde Odunlami beating me to the 1st & 2nd positions respectively. She's an example of people that believe is free, fair and merit system.
We should stop this useless tribal comments.
If you understand the meaning of a cosmopolitan city, you won't be tribalistic in your judgement. All what you wrote up there is like saying Americans were wrong for voting Obama (Kenyan descent) as president, Or Sadiq Khan (Pakistani Descent) as London Mayor, or Rishi Sunak (Indian Descent) as UK Prime minister.
Sorry to say, I will never be part of your racial discrimination. The world has moved on from your parochial views and ways of life. If the Igbo's live in Lagos, works in Lagos, Pays Tax in Lagos, Marry in Lagos, Give birth in Lagos, Send their children to schools in Lagos and Live peacefully with us in Lagos.....Why then can they not produce Governor for Lagos?
You should go back to Nigeria constitution and read-up about indigeneship. This was the same points shallow-minded brains people put out about Hilda Williams been an Ethiopian when she decided to contest for Governor in Lagos years back!
The best suggestion I have for you is, grow up and read your constitution.
Gossiphub: Imagine immigrants from Osun, Ogun, Ekiti coming to rule our Land.
We true Lagosians won't allow that to continue.
Enough is enough
Let people's vote be the judge! No thuggery, no voter's intimidation. Let's allow for a free, fair and credible election. And INEC better be credible too on Saturday and BVAS must be used for accreditation and uploading of results right from the polling units. Hopefully, the people's candidate will win.
Yeah....I get it, but I don't mean the kind of dirty politics as we played it in the following circumstances:
* Abduction of 276 Chibok girls in 2014 to influence power shift in 2015!
** Destabilize the economy with Naira redesign/cashless policy & Fuel scarcity to influence 2023 election!
(You've just gotta wait to see the dirty joker card that polithiefians will play in 2027).
*** Flagrant disregard to use BVAS to accredit and willful refusal to upload result directly from polling units.
**** Requesting court to reconfigure evidential election materials just 10days after election. (Ideally, retention period should not be less than 1year).
***** Never in history have we had a winning party taking pre-emptive action to also inspect election materials. Thanks to the shambolic results aided and abetted by INEC.
These are how dirty politics should not get to!!! If it's not going to be free, fair and credible, then we can as well just forget about democracy and allow military to administrate the nation.
oyeb15: Everyone has a price Buy your enemies Share d money with your friends to keep them loyal Eliminate d unrepentant enemies that can bring d house down. Assist the newbies to keep them under your minimal control. Discipline d betraying followers by exiling them politically to serve as deterrence to others. Accept the prodigal ones with a large heart but they will queue behind those that have taken their place. Accumulate more wealth to always meet d price of virtually everybody.
That's Tinubu's belief and politics.
You're apt. But that's dirty politics. We must stop it to move forward in this country.
It's strange! I never hear in history where the winner too dey approach court in the name of "pre-emptive defence"! It appears that the winner and the winning party self don't believe in their win. INEC magic still shocking and shaking the nation.
In VP Osinbajo's voice.....e don cast, las las, Na everybody go chop breakfast.............Thanks Burna Boy (The Fela of our time)
I said it several times before the election that INEC will make a mess of the election. Now it's happening. Now they are looking for a cheap way to defend the shambolic election they conducted on Feb 25th by tampering with evidences stored on the BVAS.
A retention period should be specified in electoral acts for which ALL election materials are to be kept. This should normally not be less than 1year.
Image123: Any candidate doesn't just win elections. It is a game of numbers. The average person doesn't go through the stress of voting to gamble. They vote for what they know, that's the structure.
The term "Game of numbers" is useless the moment tugs are involved and voters are suppressed. It's no longer game of numbers if INEC cannot conduct a free, fair and credible election. It's no longer game of numbers if INEC fails to use BVAS to accredit and also to lock-in all results from the polling units to prevent results from being tampered with.
The term "Any Candidate" as used above is open ended as rightly given by "Democracy". It is people's vote that should matter. If the right candidate wins, let it be via the ballots. Let it be because the people voted for him/her. Let the people decide with their votes. That's what game of numbers mean and that's the beauty of democracy.
Image123: Don't overrate yourself or cry foul after Saturday elections. LP has nothing to win any state government elections except in the South East and maybe Lagos(which is an unfortunate thing). Vote intelligently, not emotionally.
Make the election just dey free, fair and credible. Make INEC make use of BVAS and lock-in all results at the polling units. And make parties no use thugs and voters suppressions. I think any candidate can win if all the above are followed.
babaolofin: Brief BIODATA of Gbadebo - LAGOS LP Candidate.
1. He Gbadebo has good education having attended elite primary school beginning from Christland in Lagos, Nottingham and Paris plus University of Lagos.
2) He was born out of wedlock. His mother never married his father.
3) His mother is bitter after the experience she had with his father. He took Gbadebo away.
4) Gbadebo was fully adopted by his mother who hails from Anambra State.
5) Gbadebo other names are Chinedu, Ekweremadu and Okafor.
6) His wife, Nkechi is from Abia State
7) Gbadebo is driven by hate against his father who did not accept him and by implication against the Yoruba, the tribe of his father. He is blood bound with his mother and Igbo, his real identity.
cool Five Labour Candidates candidates were presented to Mr Peter Obi to lead Lagos. Obi insisted on Gbadebo Chinedu and rejected the other four, being fully Yoruba all from Lagos Island. The reason is because Chinedu who speaks Igbo fluently is from Anambra, the birthplace of Peter Obi.
9) Chinedu joined IPOB in 2016 in Onitsha and was the Deputy Commander for Anambra State between 2016 and 2017.
10) Chinedu held series of meetings with Nnamdi Kanu in London.
11) Many IPOB members and Igbos transferred their PVCs to Lagos State to support Gbadebo. Some came from West Africa sub region to register in Lagos as voters. The Igbo hold constant secret meetings mobilising for Gbadebo.
12) At present, IPOB provides his covert security when he goes out to campaign apart from police escort.
The above intelligence gathering is for Yoruba people and not for the sake of the grossly irresponsible and self serving Yoruba political elite whose economic Programmes continue to draw Yoruba back into the filthy dungeon of underdevelopment.
Honestly, I don't know what you want me to do with his Bio-data!
Wouldn't one now conclude this is Typical of Yoruba race now? Kpanshing people from other tribe and unjustly denying the child?
If you must know, I'm Yoruba by the way. And I believe in the right of others. Well, all I will say is, express your rights at the pool and allow for a free, fair and credible election.
Shout with your vote pls. All the best on Saturday.
