Vinnie2000:And when the parent continues to wake up late because Nigeria happens to them....then the child will continue to get punished one way or the other. If the school stop punishing the child, he still misses classes.... Again, Nigeria happens to the Child! What we throw to the society is what the society will throw back to us. |
I've been thinking something similar too..... When kids arrive school late, who should be punished? When we don't create an ideal society and allow justice and fairness to thrive most of the punishment will be transferred unto the innocent children. Even the unborn ones will pay one way or the other....and that's the most painful part! When government or it's agencies refuse to obey court orders who should be punished? There's no way you punish the government that you're not punishing the society because the society makes the government. The politicians are just individuals we entrusted our collective mandate to guide and direct us. So when they decide to mismanage our resources and corruptly enrich themselves, who is punished? So you can see it's rather unfortunate that the society especially the rank and file of the society suffers more by the actions/inactions of some few because they allowed them. We don't have electricity for years and it's no longer a pain to us anymore because no one cares! Our kids can only imagine an ideal society on the TV or through social media because no one cares! Our life expectancy age keeps dropping because no one care! Banks will not give us our money because no one cares! Police will kill/maim people they are suppose to protect because no one cares! Our govt will borrow humongous money and more than half will be stolen yet no one cares! ASUU will be on strike for over 8months - Nobody really cares! 1 Dollar will reach #1000.....Nobody will really care! Garri is no longer poor man's food because nobody really cares! I can continue on and on about all the things the society tolerated because nobody really cares. And, the only time you would expect people to care and take back the society with their votes, that's when polithiefians will again buy their conscience because even the society themselves don't really care. The corruption in the country is wall-to-wall. When the society is ready for a true change, they will in unison fight all those holding them backwards. |
Pierocash:The content says it's the fresh application they withdrew. Nothing regarding existing application. |
Ikechukwutech:Loll.....I will come back and sing Elluuup for you after the election. Get plenty tissue papers ready. |
Ikechukwutech:Frustrated Nigerian. |
Even school children wey never reach voting age don catch the Elluuuup messages. |
spagettiluv:That Lagos result in particular is not a reflective of what happened at the poll. LP won by not less that 900,000. APC was roundly defeated. |
So organizers of Oro festival don't know there's election on Saturday and their Festival cannot be shifted to another day? Anyway,.....Make I play ElluuP and dance small. |
helinues:Do people not say the same thing in those 3 instances? |
Thisis2raw:Abeg, let him talk. Soon he will soon confess how the whole rigging was orchestrated. We need him to talk. Overwhelming truth is chasing their ranks, that's why that couldn't celebrate their wins. |
Eweeeeeh!............E don reach to dey shop for congratulatory messages for APC? The entire world don see as it be Mr FFk! I don't see how APC will be able to defend this mandate. Even them fans self no fit celebrate. It never happen in the history of Nigeria. |
I supposed he's the next Emi lo kan of Lagos too? |
Sheistoopretty:That was the machine we used in the 1993 general election. It works just like the current BVAS machine. You were still in the balls then. |
I'm writing an article on how an Hausa/Fulani can be Governor of Lagos State. I will share it after GRV is declared winner so all my fellow Yoruba ethnic bigots will know how, when and where they started missing it. |
Only you want get Halaand still want to get Osimhen join? Na 10 - 0 beating you want to dey beat others? |
abefeabebi:I can give 500K living wage easily in Lagos as a governor. But every single civil servants will have to justify earning every single kobo of it. Not with what I saw at one LG Office in Lagos where workers were watching African Magic as early as 10am in the morning! |
PlayerMeji:Have they created Nationwide Harmonized Code for Police, Fire, Ambulance and other emergency services? Nigeria Government agencies will not do anything free for the masses unless there's money to be made from it. |
Watching Scotland debate again this morning, and I can't but to cry for my country for turning Electoral debate into Town-Hall Meetings! Whoever introduced that has set a very bad precedence that every Nigerian politician will be latching on henceforth and has set our democracy backwards by 100years! |

Funny as it may sound, all the messages including the "debunk" may be written from the same quarters just to propel themselves in good light following the shambolic election of Feb. 25th. That's how dirty Nigeria politics has reached. It's like scammer whose page members are posting good and positive reviews on his page just to lure unsuspecting citizens. Dirty people everywhere in Nigeria. Difficult to say who's telling the truth nowadays. |
Orinechi:Don't twist and bend around? The right question you should ask is an Apple for Apple. You should first ask....Did Ondo People stop Akeredolu from contesting? You see why I said us Yoruba are very selfish? Even when you want to compare, you are comparing wrongly! Aketi is from Ondo, GRV is from Lagos.....Mr man, compare likes for likes. |

Jones4190:Address the issue at hand. Why is INEC disobeying court order? Are we a lawless society? |
diplomat058:Am I the one that wrote the Nigeria's Constitution? Go and read your constitution and find what it says about indigeneship before you start ostracizing some people. Please take your frustration to re-write your constitution if you're not happy with it's definition of indigeneship. |
Dentidon:Frustrated Nigerian! |
Na the bank customer go suffer. Mr Gra-gra Governor. Talk to Mr President to make a statement. Only him can enforce the court judgement. |
Massiveglory:You dey read my mind Bro. My mind tells me dem go show him the mko treatment. Las las na Military government go solve this problem wey INEC created. Interim govt loading for the next 6months. |
So somehow, almost 70million Nigerians were disenfranchised! Well done INEC, well done Nigerian govt, well done thugs, well done voters intimidators, well done lazy Nigerians like me that won't vote. We have all created the most unpopular mandate in the history of the nation. |
IfnobeGod20:1. You're free to doubt but next time, always "RTFQ" before replying. The bolded was implicitly contained in my initial "conditional question" so asking me the same question again even after your first line already answered same leaves me with an unimaginable words to describe your IQ. 2. You should understand what a conditional statement means esp. when the word "If" is used. I asked a simple question and premised it on If GRV had not visited himself. But typical Nairalander won't read and understand first before engaging the keyboard. |
I'm a fan of GRV, but someone should clarify to me....Has GRV not visited them himself? If yes......I think the deputy visiting them also makes a mockery of the whole sympathy. My view though. |
LeoDeKing:You don't sh**t about blood donation. Not everybody can give blood. Sometimes, you may not have enough yourself. It's not a money thing. Really, you should not continue at this your line of thought! |
The political class will keep stifling the citizen because we have made politics so lucrative in Nigeria. No one really want to serve anymore. There's no Nationalist anymore. Every sector, every agencies, every parastatals, all private establishment, all public servants and the entire Nigerian society stench with corruption. There's wall-to-wall corruption in the entire country. The remedy eludes us. |
