We need to start learning how to childproof a house in this country. Virtually everything in the house portends danger to them until they developed their senses and can reason right. You leave a nylon carelessly around and a baby is likely to play with it and suffocate himself. You have a staircase opened, a baby will most likely want to crawl through, and by so will roll all the way down. Have a TV on shelve and not belted or screwed to the table, a baby will trying to see his friend that played with him yesterday from the box until the TV falls on him.

Are you expecting a baby, or already have some around? Please google or check on YouTube "How to childproof a house".

Above all, those are all secondary measures when you are not watching them. your primary measure, is to have your eyes on them all the time.
Education › Re: Please Help; I'm Too Shy by CaptainFM1: 10:16pm On Jun 24, 2018
Davechuks360:
Good day Nairalanders.

Please I need your help

I'm in my first year at the university, UNIBEN to be precise. I'm quite intelligent (so to say) but there's something that's always bothering me.

I'm a very shy person and it's affecting my education. Anytime I want to speak in public, I find myself stammering even when I know what to say; I just can't express myself as I should.

Is there anyway I can improve on that??

I really want to be confident, I want to be able to express myself very well. The English is not the problem 'cus I'm developing it gradually.

Please is there suggestions? Anything I can do to improve?

Thanks in advance.
Sure, there are ways...Start expressing yourself when you are with small groups, most especially when you are with your friends. Take your time to prepare whatever you want to say.

Make it brief and straight to the point. So many people can talk for one hour while the point can be hit in 5mins. Brevity is the soul of wit.

Romance › Re: White Man Rubbing His Nigerian Girlfriend's Backside In GTBank In Lagos by CaptainFM1: 6:14am On Jun 24, 2018
Olalan:
And the girl will be all smiling cause she's dating a white man with dollars to spend.
BTW some may say this is a public display of love but I see the guy showing a lack of respect for the girl and signifying she's just a tool for his sexual fantasy
If the lady doesn't feel treated as a sexual object. It might just be your own view and thought. Lagos is a secular state. I would rather look at it and admire what I see than to complain hypocritically. Otherwise I will take my eyes off or blind myself in full black hijab veil covering. Either case, I will be deceiving myself cos its a sight to behold. Its only our mind that's polluted.

Can the lashing of container stop it from falling? my little opinion is to put barrier on every Bridges for the trucks to always use d down part of d bridge.
In addition to that, curved bridges like that of Ojuelegba should have speed limit. Virtually all vehicle will inclined when turning. Its just simple engineering principle...centre of gravity is dragged towards center of curvature. Lashing is good but its best to enforce speed limit on all curved bridges.

I prophesy that you will pass your exams! Am I a prophet? Does it mean it may never come to pass? Need you be told what to do to bring the prophesy alive? If you grab this little illustrations, you will understand how prophesy works. Those prophesies might have come to pass in the spiritual realm, but when the right circumstances, factors and conditions are not carried out in the physical realm the result doesn't show up. I hope with this little illustration, you now understand how prophesy works. James 2:14-26

Hey yah....How I wish I can tell you I've gone beyond Thuraya...Palasa phone! I'm a merchant navy...And there's no satellite phones you can think of that I haven't used cos that's simply the means of communicating from the deep sea. I personally bought Motorola Iridium with 2years full coverage.....That's the king of Satellite mobile phones if you must know. And if I will have to tell you how inmarsat works within 70degrees North and South, I'm sure you will be lost somewhere in the Bay of Biscay.

Celebrities › Re: MURIC Backs Down From Suing Falz Over 'This Is Nigeria' Video by CaptainFM1: 10:02pm On Jun 10, 2018
weyreypey:
Again, the Fulanis (Muslims) were painted as killers while Benue militias (Christians) who rustle Fulani cattles and slaughter their wives and children were not featured. This is grossly unfair. Falz should find a way of balancing his video. The kidnappers of the South East (also Christians) were spared while the oil saboteurs of the Niger Delta (Christians too) were ignored. Falz video is loaded with Islamophobia. That video should be titled ‘This is not Nigeria’. It is Islam-bashing. Nigeria’s video regulatory agency should therefore ban the video or ask the artist to edit it properly.

Like seriously? This guy is far more insane than I imagined
Lol....If your boss has eaten the humble pie, who are you, and why are you still grumbling? Muslims need to be tolerant in this country. I remember the way some muslim sects pushed the country to go host Miss World Beauty Pageant in London. Strange...isn't it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_World_riots (Imagine Russia 2018 being played in another country whilst still being tagged Russia 2018). Ever since this singular act since 2002 coming on the heel of our beautiful Agbani Darego winning 2001 edition, I've came to the conclusion that Islam is a very intolerant religion. I'm still yet to see how they profess peace in any part of the world.

You are very correct. That's why Buhari must take this further to ensure the constitution is amended to recognise June 12.

Do I sound like I do not support what PMB has done? I also suffered some personal loss to the struggle. Why do you think Senate is asking INEC to declare the result of that election? Why do you think senate is asking for constitutional amendment to recognise June 12? Take it to anywhere, evidence and proper documentation will always beat words of mouth!
