PoliticsRe: Group Opens El-Rufai Campaign Office In Plateau Ahead Of 2023 Presidency by CaptBabosa: 5:45pm On Oct 31, 2019
El Rufai is capable and brilliant. He should pick a smart Igbo vice president and he will cruise to Victoria. Although I don't see Jagaban supporting this idea. But who cares tinubu is a thief and will soon meet his waterloo
PoliticsRe: Senate Chief Whip, Orji Kalu Calls For Closure Of Some Government Parastatals by CaptBabosa: 1:52am On Sep 27, 2019
Smart man. Some of these parastatals needs to be closed indeed. Govt over spends to keep them running. We need a smaller Government and bigger enterprises like Sen. Orji said. U.S is an example not too many parastatals some are even initiated with time limits.
PoliticsRe: 2023 Not For Igbo – Primate Ayodele by CaptBabosa: 7:22pm On Aug 27, 2019
I do not believe in all these prophesies anymore. We do not know who is real anymore. But what I know is Igbo presidency is very crucial in sustaining peace and oneness in Nigeria it is just inevitable. Igbo deserves a chance in 2023. If I was APC I will zone it to Southeast and defeat PDP the next 8years

My people, no matter our political divides and leaning, some things are not to be ignored. The picture above says a lot about our country and how our President is being perceived. Honestly I'm not happy seeing this pictures. This really shows how far we have deteriorated as a country. Looking at Adeshina, you can't but imagine if someone of that caliber and education is our President, how this country will be perceived and respected. Honestly I feel so ashamed that in this 21st century, someone of PMB caliber is what we can show to the world as our beacon of hope. Why can't we have an Adeshina or Godfrey Onyeàmà or even a young vibrant and educated Northerner that knows what the world is talking about? Just look at the way Adeshina is seated and sharing ideas with intelligent leaders. Honestly this pictures really sends some deep thoughts within me. Which way Nigeria?

PoliticsRe: 2023: No End To Zoning Until South/North East Produce President - Orji Kalu by CaptBabosa: 7:19am On Aug 17, 2019
Joshmodest:
El rufai has a point , cos I personally don't understand why In a totally black nation , we have to be rotating power among regions whether they have credible candidates or not ,
But in this context Orji uzor kalu has said something reasonable for once , El rufai should have said this earlier , why saying it now probably cos he has interest in ruling come 2025 ....
El rufai is looking for a way to marginalize the regions that haven't produced candidates , until those regions have ruled , power rotation must continue !
It's interesting tribalism in Nigeria is way bigger than racism !

[Distinguished senator Kalu is making an important point here . I am beginning to like him. Every region in Nigeria is blessed with smart intelligent patriotic individuals with presidential qualities so agree with him totally. Rotational arrangement will save us from unnecessary crisis. Every one in Nigeria is as important as another and we should encourage equity and fairness if not a major tribe like hausas and fulanis with high population will continue to be president. Every region deserves the opportunity to produce a president.
PoliticsRe: Senators, Reps Buy Suvs, Property At Ridiculous Give-away Prices by CaptBabosa: 9:13am On Aug 13, 2019
The word accountability is not found in Nigeria.. These state properties should be transfered to the incoming the 9th assembly. But we all know you can't recover these properties alas they decided to collect paltry sums for it.

The truth is for this revolution to be successful it needs every hand on deck. Every ethnic group should be part of this struggle as it affects all of us. I know many people crucified Ipob when they protested for freedom from bad government especially non igbos. But am glad people are waking up to see Nigeria is in a mess. If I am Ipob I will join this revolution and rescue Nigeria first then we discuss with sowore terms of succession.

Let me tell you something about Nigerians...

Our only problem is divisive leaders, aside that, we are really not tribalistic.

Look at how every Nigerian has spoken in unison as to the brightness and potentials of this guy. No one cared to know where he's from, we just saw he's good.

It's the same way we saw what Fashola could do, and loved him.

Same way we saw what Nuhu Ribadu could do and loved him.

Same way we saw what Dora Akunyili could do and loved him.

There's hope for Nigeria after all, when all these divisive dinosaurs shall have been dead and gone.

Did I hear you say when they are dead and gone? This present generation is even more spiteful of each other and worse than their father's. Untill Government steps in to make it a crime to be tribalistic just like it is to be racist in the U.S. People will continue to try to ridicule each other based on ethinic difference s.

PoliticsRe: Afenifere Can’t Order Herdsmen Out Of South West –miyetti Allah by CaptBabosa: 10:56am On Jul 27, 2019
I doubt if Afenifere made such utterances. We have yorubas doing business in the north. Herds men should be allowed to peacefully do their business in Yoruba land.. This country has gone too far to break. There should be peaceful co existence.
PoliticsRe: Ezeife: Ndigbo Will Cease To Be Nigerians If Denied 2023 Presidency by CaptBabosa: 10:43am On Jul 27, 2019
I do not blame okwadike for his comments. It's really disheartening to see a group of people gang up to upress and suppress their neighbors whom are supposed to be brothers in the same country and should have equal rights and privileges to be president if desired. The north and west alliance to continue to throw their weight on only hausa/yoruba presidential candidates is really annoying. I don't want to see Nigeria break as for me every minority group tiv , idoma , ibibio or nupe should have equal rights to be president. Shouldn't be Igbo hausa and Yoruba affair alone.

PoliticsRe: Intels: NPA Explains Sack Of Atiku’s Company by CaptBabosa: 1:15pm On Jun 23, 2019
silverbirdng:
Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has explained why it terminated the services of Intels Nigeria Limited from the eastern ports of Calabar, Delta and Port Harcourt.

The company, co-owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, provides comprehensive integrated logistics services for the Nigerian oil and gas industry and has 30 years of experience in port management and support services in shore bases across Nigeria.

The Managing Director of the NPA, Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman, told The Nation that the decision to terminate the services of Intels was informed by the latter’s inability to remit over $140 million to the federal government’s coffers, being the accumulated revenue it generated for a period of time.

“Intels was providing a service of collecting revenue for port operations and they were not remitting as and when due,” she said.

She recalled that after she came on board as NPA MD, she signed “a supplementary agreement which required all revenues generated to be paid into the single treasury account (TSA).”

Usman said Intels, however, reneged on the agreement it had with the NPA and the corporation was left with no option than to cancel the contract outright.

She said: “Following the agreement, Intels has been very difficult in making payments to us. They owe us over $140million that they have not remitted. So, we felt such non-compliance and such level of impunity should not be accepted, hence we issued a notice of termination to them.

“We are going to advertise for a replacement company that would offer such services at a cheaper cost because Intels is charging the Nigerian government 28 percent for revenue collection and typically such commissions are limited to 10-15 percent.

“You hardly see where an agency is charging 28 percent. So, we have issued a notice of termination and we are also going to court to ensure that those monies not credited by Intels are paid back”.

Congratulations to Omo agege. And a wise decision by Orji Kalu. National interest before personal. And for those who made those constant statement about your loyalty to the party. You have displayed maturity. If non of the top six political positions comes to SE its not the end of world.. Politics shouldn't be do or die.

DTaj:
Game of thrones!

My usually reliable sources (check my previous comments before dicey political games) told me that BOTH Ali Ndume (who Bukola Saraki crudely disgraced via almost one year suspension and withheld all his entitlements and influenced his removal as Senate Leader because he supported Magu of EFCC) and Umar Bago (a core Buhari boy from their CPC party era) were planted deliberately by APC and its smart/strategic planners with a view to giving PDP false hope!

This morning, Ahmed Lawan, PhD from the UK, and Femi Gbajabiamila, a US-trained lawyer and articulate parliamentarian, will be elected Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives!

APC guys have learnt from the Bukola Saraki error of 2015!
Good for you let's see how they fare
