Young Man,
You're in a very wrong place for advice... and judging by the many replies I'd say you've gotten a lot.

Focus on developing your self esteem and just start with building platonic friendships with the females already in your life...

I should also ask what do you truly really want?
Relationship? Sex? What exactly?
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi And Datti Baba-Ahmed ChannelsTV Interview (Live) by careidon:
I really wish Nigerians note and stop the undue focus they put on the presidential election AT THE EXPENSE of their Parliamentarians (Senate/Reps) - Those are the ones that can restructure Nigeria (balance power, correct the current miscued representation, Federal Character issues, Revenue sharing based on contribution and not land size or unproductive population, entrench meritocracy etc), yet we often don't bother to even know their names, not to talk of scrutinizing them...

Musulmanci:
Wahhabism at work again in Northern Nigeria.

This Cleric did not utter any thing blasphemous against Prophet Muhammad. He only criticised hadiths in Sunni compilations which are insulting to the Prophet. They twisted everything against him because he is Sufi or likely as suspected a Shia (Shi'ite).

Sometime last year, this same Cleric challenged the Wahhabi aka Salafi rabbis to a public debate on inter Islamic disputes. But all those wahhabi Clerics fled from the challenge.
Thank you for giving an idea into what he actually said that was termed blasphemous.
I think objective comments should be encouraged more than trolling on this forum.
PoliticsRe: Sheikh Abduljabar Nasiru Kabara Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Blasphemy by careidon: 2:42pm On Dec 15, 2022
The report is not mentioning what he actually said...
My mind goes to Deborah's case, what she actually said was not turn a class/study WhatsApp group to a religious one and that was termed as blasphemous by some extremists!!
SportsRe: World Cup: Ivana Knoll Slammed For Wearing Sexy Outfit To Qatar. She Reacts by careidon: 4:01pm On Dec 01, 2022
"I think how can my dress or bikini hurt someone? Please explain me that. First I was thinking if the World Cup is happening there (Qatar), for sure they will allow us everything to make it comfortable for allowed allowed fans without any of the restrictions.

"Then I heard about the rules and I was shocked. The dress code forbids showing shoulders, knees, belly and everything and I was like, 'Oh my God, I don't even have the clothes to cover all of that'. I was super angry because if I'm not a Muslim and if we in Europe respect hijab and niqab, I think they need also to respect our way of life*, our religion and in the end me wearing dresses, bikinis because I'm Catholic from Croatia who is here because of the World Cup.

Asked if she had felt there was any risk of being arrested for her outfits, Knoll replied, "I am never afraid of something like that."

"The reactions are very good. Many of the Qatari people came to me to photograph me. If they hate it and they have something against it, they wouldn't do it. I think it's just another way of life, me and them." She added.

1. leave God out, don't fight or defend him. He's big enough to do that by Himself.
2. just tell, how are you affected the other person' dressing? Or it's just the perverted minds & pastors/imams (with their books) playing these tricks with religions on us ? (some folks on NL here talk as if we still don't have nude cultures/communities presently on this planet, yet without these headaches or rape (as the world is trying to "civilize" them to be wearing clothes) why are they not affected?
3. IF THE OTHER PERSON HAS ISSUES WITH YOUR DRESSING (REASONABLE OR NOT) WOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR CODES/ETHOS TO ACCOMMODATE SUCH WITHOUT CRITICISM OR HONEST/DISHONEST PERSUASION TO CHANGE THEM (as the Western world has, why do they find it difficult to accommodate others?)

it's all about live and let other's (live as they deem fit) too...

if some folks can also leave for a place that has history of a particular Faith (their constitution, bearing witness) and asks to be allowed to dress in a particular with argument that theirs is not disturbing anyone, why would they refuse to reciprocate when others visit their space ? but rather the argument suddenly becomes, respect your host! if the whole space becomes theirs, would they accommodate differing opinions in dressing?
all these religions are with such double-faced hypocrisy!!!

she says Qataris were not offended but rather asked to take pictures with her (to her nobody was affected too)

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Signed Pension Bill For Former Anambra Governors in 2011 by careidon: 1:13pm On Dec 01, 2022
immortalcrown:
Your logic is so childish and weak. Many States adopted the bill before and after 2009. This means it is a normal practice in every State in Nigeria. Obi signed it because it is the normal thing in Nigeria. He then rejected the entitlement to show he is personally against the will. Obi signed the bill because the stake holders and the State house of assembly wanted it. Only a tyrant will refuse to sign the bill.

A governor is not the one who proposes a bill in a State.
it's actually your take that is weak...
compare all better things that he could have copied from other States esp Lagos at that point in time, why was that Bill the one he copied?

so he joined others to make blatant immoral personal enrichment normal thing?
why can't we be talking of him as taking a good stand against what is/was wrong then and till now?
Will he not join to do "normal things" again if given opportunity this time?

Governors sponsor a lot of selfish Bills (check local government autonomy thru their rubber stamp House of Assembly... go find out

he's a thief like the others abeg.

To be balanced, there are plenty of archeological evidence (drawings/carvings on rocks, scrolls, karma-sutra positions etc) that suggests the ancient folks did more than what you're thinking, so it's not authoritatively from porn like you assumed.

There must be his side of explaining his behaviors...
Else he only needs to find himself and purpose - You allowed him to wander in the earlier stages and he has not had his fill of the feeling and enjoyment.

2. Op didn't say no to having more babies...but rather wait, lemmie graduate (Op, as a married woman you can school with baby na, though not easy)
If truly that's his reason, you two just didn't talk bout things well/enough.
But, what's the point having more kids, as he's not bonding with those he's already blessed with, just for someone else to be the one taking them to school, checking homework etc while also working just like he is. It's not easy o - or it's just classic case of tying the woman down with children angle sympathy/feelings?

If that's the case - I support your wanting to wait.

Why create more societal problems with these emotionally damaged children we keep producing FOR SELFISH REASONS without both parents commitment to upbring properly.
3. A prodigal child/man coming home sober, pretending to have changed just to prepare ground to drop the issue of another woman's child/pregnancy! - kids do that after getting in trouble especially after being warned severally grin
4. Being someone who preferred beatings to hurtful words/attitude while growing up, AM SURPRISED MOST PEOPLE SAY HE'S NOT BEATING YOU (and reason you should stay) - I SEE THE EMOTIONAL BEATINGS (talk downs, body shaming) AND NON-SUPPORT. (your biz dreams, investments, education and raising the kids)
5. I see no problem with your marriage.
You don't communicate properly anymore. Not talks at, use pleas, persuasions....
TALK ABOUT YOUR TOLERANCE, but not as a dictator o - You allowed him cross many lines that you should have let him know you won't tolerate at dating stages of your relationship.
Agree to more kids - only if he'll be there for the kid and you.
Most importantly keep your sanity - Jesus had died for all, needless you die for anyone again.

Why/when is the public going to stop being used by these politicians (with tribal & religious stunts) ?

The question is how much tax is he & his companies paying?

Simple logic would say, If truly they are the biggest contributors then what Lagos is doing is more to their advantage = why not allow it. Or is that the us (North) that he mentioned loves Lagos more than Lagos itself?

We all know the current structure is not and will not work for Nigeria's development.

Christianity EtcRe: Why I Converted To Islam After 20yrs Of Being A Committed Christian by careidon:
Interesting thread.

Nice one Peggy...am taking even a different angle.

We can't deny our realities & experiences as we journey this ethereal world, the reasons we adduce and solutions/actions we take to resolve are even more important.
But our individual experiences will not form dogmas/doctrines...niether will it confirm God to be God nor invalidate Him.
Some heros of faith died without inheriting the promise, (but am sure they had a great/rough ride on their trips.)

when this "enemies and ancestral curse" teachings/preaching started I knew it would damage some folks and enrich its preachers.

But it's the same everywhere, even Europe instilled fears of witches in the citizens and killed witches. There must have been innocent (some truly gifted spiritually, others bipolar or with OCD, or just set up from rivalry as we now understand)
The 9ja kid labelled a witch and nailed in the head painfully comes to mind. A terrible low for the parents & "pastor" involved.

As Africa is not the only place with bad/dark or better still an unenlightened past.
I wonder how long we would allow our past to hold us back & down with all the information out there?

Some here grew up fearing ojuju and gbomo-gbomo. They got goosebumps hearing a mention of their names AND FORMED MENTAL PICTURES OF THEM, dreamt of them!
But outgrew the fears with maturity and enlightenment. The ojuju is what you made it to be, and mine would be definitely be different from yours. But all are from our fears! So what of the claimed dreams some made up or truly had when a lot younger?
The current dictionary definition of witch or witchcraft is totally without fears = manipulations/magics.
So what are adults really still seeing. describe please?

Our research into mental health, sleep, sleep deprivation and disorders needs to be worked on...
