Good day, please I need advise from someone here, I'm a student here in Nigeria and I'll be graduating in 2017. I wanna attend an educational conference in University of Toronto for my project research purpose. I have gotten a letter of identification from the dean of students in my school, I have paid for the conference and gotten my receipt, I have also gotten an invitation letter, my eldest brother is sponsoring everything(both flight and hotel). Problem is this is my first time of traveling out if I don't have a travel history and the conference is to hold from 14- 16th October. please can anyone advise me on what documents I need to gather? and do I need medical exam? and which is faster? online or manual application? thanks

Even though I don't live in Canada I still have opinions about it haha! I have in the recent past briefly visited Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. What specific questions do you want me to answer? I will let you know what I can answer and what I can't. I will mention some of the other gurus (living/studying in Canada) on the thread to answer questions about their respective provinces if the answers can't be googled!

Since I got this job I stopped thinking about this visa thing.... Be like na idleness dey make this visa thing bother person. Am even contemplating weda I'll travel if dey finally grant me, cos this job na highest o. Is there a way u could defer the school and visa acceptance for say like a session? By the way my friend that applied for masters in June 8 was sent medical mail yesterday

I already suggested quite a numner to her like CAC, tax clearance, Visa page, company's receivables, in addition to the sponsorship and introduction letter, I will appreciate additional information or docs of the company that shld be included in the app. Please we intend to re-apply next week monday or Tuesday by God's grace

Hi guys, my fiancee's application was delayed yesterday as a result of insufficient funds. She used her employer as sponsor and the VO thinks she wont be able to study in canada without having to work. We intend to re-apply cos we dont give up, my question is does any one know the deadline in which students must resume after the official resumprion date. She is going for an LLM in university of Toronto. I would appreciate response from those who are already in Canada or in Toronto and are very familiar with resumption dates amd deadlines

I got a mail from CIC yesterday...it was a refusal.
The VO handling my file must have been high on some very cheap substance cause he said I had insufficient funds and my travel history.
Anyways that's his/her opinion and he/she is entitled to it. A BIG thank you to thesoj and khalesi for your time in guiding me through the application process. I have no intention of reapplying guys so there is NO NEED to throw a pity party or shell out words of wisdom.

I wish all those still expectant of TRV the best in their application.

Hello,

I got refused on the basis of insufficient funds yesterday. I used my uncle's bank statements for the past 5months. I am sure he touched the money in the account.

Now I want to re-apply again. If my other relative (new sponsor) also happens to be an uncle, can I use his statement together with the old one or I could snub the old one and use the statement of the new sponsor.

Will it create an impression that I am trying to deceive the VO?
