President Buhari celebrates his 79th birthday in Istanbul, Turkey today December 17, Igbere TV reports.

Photos shared by presidential aide, Buhari Sallau, showed the moment the President cut his birthday cake with the national colors, green-white-green.

Former beauty queen and actress Regina Askia on Thursday wowed her fans with dazzling photos of herself dressed in a green gown to celebrate her 54th birthday, Igbere TV reports.

The mother of three shared the photos on Instagram with a goodwill message to herself.

A Nigerian man and father, Mike Ekunno, has in the light of the death of a student of Dowen College, Sylvester Oromoni, narrated how he withdrew his son from a boarding school in 2018, Igbere TV reports.

Sharing a copy of the withdrawal letter on Sunday, December 5, in a Facebook post, the man said the action was necessary as his son was bullied.

Mike revealed that he pulled the child out without allowing him to sit his promotional exams as a way to keep him alive.

The letter dated June 4, 2018, read in part: “My son, Ifesinachi, 10, is an intelligent is a bold and a free-spirited boy. His mother and I are shocked at the transformation of his personality since enrolling in your school at the start of this academic session. The man towards the tail-end of the letter identified the seniors who have been bullying his son. He gave their names as David, Paul, Charles, and Ebuka all in senior secondary school two.

It's been 15 years since Dare Art Alade and his wife, Deola Ayeni got married to each other and they are celebrating it, Igbere TV reports.

Fast-rising disc jockey Michelle Abesin aka DJ Michelle has recounted her near-death drowning experience adding that she is thankful to God for keeping her alive, Igbere TV reports.

In a statement released on Instagram on Saturday, Michelle stated that the experience e changed her life completely and she is grateful to the man who saved her.

“On the 18th November, I had a near-death experience that literally changed my life completely. I got carried away by water, that’s the last of what I remembered. I want to especially thank the man who saved me and also to everyone who reached out to me and who have been reaching out.

“There have been so many fake pages and accounts that have been spreading rumours and putting out different information. I’ll urge the public to kindly disregard everything as they’re not from me,” the statement read in parts.

On November 19, Michelle was rescued hours after she nearly drowned at a beach in Lagos.

Her sister Stella who announced her disappearance on social media on a Thursday, made an Instagram live video on Friday to show that Michelle had been retrieved alive from the water.

In the video, Michelle is seen cleaning up herself and removing specks of dirt from her body.

While those around her expressed shock and disbelief over her survival, others express gratitude to God.

Peter Okoye's wife Lola Omotayo recently joined Paul's wife Anita Okoye and their kids in the US to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Igbere TV reports that this comes after singers Peter Okoye aka Mr P and Paul Okoye aka King Rudy who were a part of the formerly defunct PSquare music group completed the last leg of their reconciliation by meeting each other physically.

Anita Okoye, the wife of Paul took to her Instagram account on Friday to share photos from the event with the caption, ”Grateful heart.”

Nigerian DJ Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch was also present at the event.

On 25 September 2017, numerous media outlets reported that PSquare disbanded. Reports about a breakup surfaced after Peter reportedly sent a termination letter to the group's lawyer.

Nigeria’s wealthiest men have gathered in France for the Paris International Business Summit, Igbere TV reports.

The billionaires include president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; founder of Globacoms, Mike Adenuga; founder of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu; and BUA Group president Abdul Samad Rabiu.

Hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, the aforementioned joined world leaders and other businessmen and women in discussing trade and investment in the post-Covid-19 world.

Mr Elumelu and other African business leaders engaged the international business community on how to significantly expand trade within and outside Africa, and the contribution of the private businesses’ investment.

In May, Mr Macron organised the Summit for the Financing of African Economies in Paris which was an opportunity for leaders from the Sahel and Francophone regions to meet lenders to discuss security and debt relief.

Leader of the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested, Igbere TV reports.

Attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice Abubakar Malami announced this on Tuesday in Abuja.

Mr Malami said the IPOB leader was arrested on Sunday.

He said the arrest followed a collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and the Interpol.

Malami further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja for continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.
