Who cares what men wants? Save the epistle for your wife.

I’m sure Natasha knows what her hubby wants. That's all that counts. Thankfully, she is married; else your lot would have claimed her “drama” is why she isn't.

Natasha represents her people at the senate. Hence, your mysogynist epistle about what men wants is irrelevant.

Like the senate president with an obvious mouth diarrhea, Natasha deserves to be heard inspite of her “drama”

Gender is irrelevant. Like Akpabio, she was duly elected to serve. Men don't need to like her “drama”. Her people do.

And in my opinion, that's all that counts.
You are clearly very daft. If she is suspended like she will be or avoided by her peers, sent to unimportant committees because she is seen as difficult to get along with how does she serve her constituents.

It is not about her being a woman it is about her being a drama queen. You women may love drama we don’t. And if you are surrounded by men you need to understand how men operate.

You say gender is irrelevant but when a woman misbehaves you pull the gender victimization card. I agree gender is irrelevant but women make it relevant when you pull the gender card to mask bad behavior.

Is she the only female senator?

The funny part is, you guys live up to the name
At least we know our history, what is yours? Every tribe in Nigeria can trace their roots in the land called Nigeria except you. Every tribe in Nigeria has a history of kings except you…why? Why because your history is that of captured slaves settled in a transit slave camp prior to shipping to the new world and with the abolition of slavery that transit slave camp became your permanent home.

The truth is that this woman hasn’t represented womenfolk credibly. Too much drama! Women like her block opportunities for other women with their conduct.

Men don’t like drama, if your wife gives too much drama we find a side chick, if a female colleague gives too much drama we avoid her and become wary of employing or giving opportunities to other women. I wont be surprised if some senators have gone behind the scenes lobbying to not be included in the same committees with her or to have her not included in their committees. That’s what we do as men, we avoid dramatic women and the best way to avoid them is to ensure they are not in your immediate space and any interaction with them is at arms length.!

Eriokanmi:
Elrufai is one of the key northern politicians that carry weight. By the tme he begins to attack you, he'll not stop until he brings you down. I remember GEJ time. The latter first ignored him. By the tine he realised it, kaduna and some northern states had been lost to the apc.
Elrufai is a strong figure in the apc, as far as northern politics is concerned. He doesn't know how to talk and that's my problem with him. His bodybag statement has denied him the US Visa till today. Their mega party will work and unaeat Tinubu. Elrufai is a spoiler, he's a termite in politics. You loud speakers, you'll be shocked.
He does not carry the weight you think he does. It’s like saying Okupe, Osinbajo, Obasanjo or Adebanjo carry weight in the SW. Go and check the last results they all lost their polling units and none was able to deliver their states talk less regions.

Being vocal and noisy is not the same as having a political structure. Political base and structure delivers votes. MC Oluomo will deliver more votes in the SW than any of those 4. ElRufai cannot win an election in Kaduna today, he could not deliver his party for APC in 2023. Even Obi got almost the same number of votes that ElRufai as a sitting governor was able to deliver for his party. So what exactly are we talking about?

El Rufai is a technocrat, he thinks like a technocrat, he is not a true politician he hasn’t got a political base! His public exposure and his victories in the only elections he has contested was on the back of existing Godfathers (Obasanjo, Atiku, Buhari) or party structures like APC. ElRufai does not port to any political party with a flowership or votes because he is not a real politician. When a real Nigerian politician moves, he moves with followers and votes. When Tinubu went to Buhari and said we will support you, the votes of the entire SW switched from GEJ to Buhari. Yayi controls Ogun west, he is why Amosun’s candied ate lost and why Abiodun won in 2019 and 2023. These are politician with a base and a structure! These are politicians that determine the outcomes of elections.

Politics is not about granting interviews and making noise. Your relevance in politics is about your ability to deliver votes. Peter Obi is far more relevant and influential politically than ElRufai…..far more! The true power brokers of Lagos politics 99% of Nigerians have never heard of them. These are the men that when they told Tinubu we don’t want Ambode anymore, Tinubu complied. That is true political power, people who can deliver or withdraw votes with one meeting. Not by making noise up and down.

It is because ElRufai knows he doesn’t have that power that he is panicking and running his mouth up and down. If you truly had the power what would you do? You would keep quiet and put in motion the machinery for the defeat of your opponent….no be so? If you had the power to make a few phone calls and cause the voters to switch votes, why would you bother to appear on TV to an audience that are irrelevant? Do the typical northern voters watch Arise TV? So clearly his interview on Arise was not aimed at Northern voters…..so what was the point? It was a cry for help! Listen carefully to what he said I won’t join PDP, I may not suppprt for Tinubu but I may if he does ok by 2027, the party has moved away from me (as in I am not the one who abandoned the party o)….. Nuru and Uba Sani are after me (as in reign them in) A blatant cry for help

El-Rufai is not like that, he is either with you, to swim or sink and if he is not with you, he doesn’t pretend. I believe he is still with Tinubu when he said the following statement:
“PRESIDENT TINUBU NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT HIS LOPSIDED APPOINTMENTS. IT’S STILL NOT TOO LATE TO CORRECT IT, BUT THERE IS A PALPABLE ANGER IN THE NORTH.”
I perceive this statement as an olive branch which he has extended to the President for reconciliation. I urge the President and the leadership of the APC to reach out to him for a truce, before it’s too late.
I have said it in 2 threads already, all this noise from ElRufai is a cry for help. His problem is that he is a baby politician and he has always been in power on the strength of the political power or structure of others. All his public offices were appointments standing on the shoulders of giants and his governorship election was won on the strength of Buhari and APC.

The mistake technocrats in Nigeria seem to make time and time again is they get high on the positions they occupy and start to think of themselves as politicians and disrespect the game. It is the same error Osinbajo made.

ElRufai is a baby politician and he will learn politics by force if he says he wants to remain a politician.

He said it himself in the interview that he is a technocrat not a politician. Well if you want to be a politician in Nigeria he needs to stop thinking like a technocrat! To start with he revealed his hand too early….big error! a true Nigerian politician would bid his time before making his move.

Which weight? You know the strength of a man whether power, money influence etc by how much noise he makes. The people who flaunt wealth the most are the ones who don’t really have money or as much as they portray, the truly wealthy hide their wealth because they know it’s the fastest way to go broke. The woman calling herself diva, beautiful or queen is the insecure woman. A truly desirable woman does not need to tel you because she knows and you can see the quality of men that pursue her. The politician running up and down is the politician who is insecure.

True wealth, beauty, power operate in silence. If he really had the might you claim he would just make his moves quietly in the background. These are classic signs of insecurity and panic and those with real might know it! Who is he coming to TV to appeal to if he truly had powerful people behind him? Is it that he can’t access them personally? It is precisely because he is stranded that he is granting interviews and speaking at every opportunity.

In fact if you watched his interview and are discerning, you can tell it was a cry for help.

Wrong conclusion.
Peugeot had been the ideal Nigerian cars for decades. The brand is known for Efficiency and Durability and also Stability. Though Toyota gradually took over Nigerian market due to influx of Tokumbo cars and recently Bolt using it, but Peugeot brands, 406, 307, 407, 301, 408 and recently 508 still have a good share of the market especially with the Arm Forces and Para Military.
Go to any rich man's home, you will see at least a Peugeot because the cars are dependable.
I have owned 3 brands of Peugeot and I still want to acquire the 508 because they brand is a reliable brand.

Go and ask anyone that owns a Peugeot.
In terms of durability, can you compare a Toyota to Peugeot.huh
Till today, 406 brand remains one of the best cars to be produced. One of the best cars to travel with and enjoy stability on speed.

Some of you who haven't own a car and only know of Toyota brands because of Bolt will come and be ranting your mouth.
What a load of trash from a poorly educated ignorant millennial. We drove Peugeots when their keys opened each other….when Peugeots were Peugeots, when their engine numbers was the same as their chassis numbers! The number of Peugeots I drove just as a university student between the ages of 16 and 21, I am sure you haven’t in your entire adult life. As an adult, I never owned a Peugeot myself but as a child at least 25-30 Peugeots from 404 to 504 to 505 were in my house as my parents official official cars growing up and I drove at least 8/9 of them. In addition, my Uncle was the local content supplier of the acs for all 504s assembled by PAN. I never drove a 406 in Nigeria but I once rented one in the UK and I thought it was a pile of manure though I know people liked it in Nigeria. You cannot school me on Peugeot! I was obsessed with Peugeots as a kid, I grew up with them. I can tell you every minute difference between every Peugeot 505/504 model year from the mid 1970s to the late 1980s. Just by looking I can tell you this is 1981, 1980, 1979, etc. From the difference in the grills to the fabric on the seats, to the year they changed the door cards to the year they changed the headrests, to the year they changed the gear stick, to the year they changed the door lock! To which years had green or brown window tints, to which models had chrome window frames, to which years or models had disc or drum brakes, which models had independent rear suspension, which had live axles. etc etc. you can’t school me on Peugeot!

First fix your English, it’s “models of Peugeot” not “brands of Peugeot”…Peugeot is the brand, 504,505, 406 etc are models! It is “have not owned” not “haven’t own”!

Peugeot once owned the Nigerian market. They became complacent and lost their market share to Toyota, Hyundai etc. they are now attempting to come back with cars that are not attractive and don’t have the reputation of the rugged 504 and 505s of old. Their cars will have to be very very cheap to gain regain even a fraction of their lost market share. Toyota has locked down the Nigerian market they vacated for so long.

Dangote should have partnered with Toyota, I don’t see Peugeot making headway among Nigerian consumers except they are using Nigeria as an assembly base for exports.

But just like the Ibo reaction since 2015 when Buhari became president, it’s the constant insulting at every other tribe and becoming IPOB supporters, the real problem was their celebrations after the killings, the waxing of a song to mock the Northerners, the mocking of Northhern officer’s wives by wives of Ibo officers etc etc. we are seeing the same thing today!

The problem with Nigerians educated as many claim to be is they are ignorant despite their education.

Sharia law cannot be implemented in any state without approval of the state assembly.

Sharia arbitration panel is not sharia law. It has no force of law is not binding on even the Muslims. A Muslim must voluntarily agree to appear at the panel and he can reject the outcome of the panel. Sharia panels already exist in Lagos state since 2002. It is not sharia law.

You cannot implement sharia law anywhere in Nigeria without the approval of the state assembly and the governor. If you read the attached below, they tried it and it was rejected by the governor and th assembly. On that basis sharia law can NEVER (I repeat never) come to the SW! The first people that will reject the introduction of sharia law in yoruba land are the yoruba Muslims themselves.

casualobserver:
I actually believe the coup was not an Ibo coup as such. I sincerely beleive they were a bunch of overzealous immature, deluded misguided but sincere young men who saw themselves as patriots. The problem is that it failed and as a result of its failure, all we witnessed was the unintended effects.

I also believe there has always existed and still exist a band of Ibo expansionists whose views are represented by the Dady Onyeama declaration at the Ibo conference and unfortunately for the coup plotters, they are the ones who took over after the failed coup and started to act in an Ibo centric manner for instance by not trying their coup plotting kinsmen and enacting laws that suggested an Ibo supremacy/conquering agenda.

1: Whether by commission or by omission, the major actors in the coup were Ibos.
2: whether by commission of by omission the major causalities were non Ibos.
3: whether by commission or omission those who got away were the Ibos. Not only were Ibo politicians spared but the Ibo coup plotters were not tried.
4: if my brother kills your brother and I do not offer my apologies for or distance myself from his behavior then it is natural for you to conclude he had my approval.
5: the nature of some of the deaths/murders are unconscionable.
6: the fact that Ibos have never dissociated themselves from the coup but more importantly apologized and also carry on today like a people intent on conquering others only serves to perpetuate the idea that it was an Ibo coup.
7: I draw parallels with the Obidient movement, where you have probably sincere naive young non Ibos who genuinely think Obi will bring the change they desire but haven’t thought it through. IMHO if they succeed they will unleash probably the worst regime in Nigerias history because the real agenda of the Obidient movement will take ove but they will be blamed. The only difference between the Obidient movement and the coup plotters is 1) the coup plotters were in the army and controlled weapons and 2) the failure of the 1966 coup brought negative consequences while the failure of the Obidients is a blessing.

Like I said, with what I know now. I have 98% certainty it was not an Ibo coup. It was just a series of unfortunate coincidences by young revolutionaries and Yorubas at the time looked down on joining the army, so naturally there would be more Ibos involved.

It was not who staged the coup that continues to be the problem but the actions thereafter.

If you search my post history, you will see where even I gave my reasons why I don’t think it started as an Ibo coup. But these are just opinions. They are not fact!

Let me explain something to you. Whether it was an Ibo coup or not is irrelevant for most Nigerians today. The real problem Ibos have is their current actions not whether 1966 coup was an Ibo coup or civil war. All that na story! Nobody cares, I certainly don’t! The problem is not what happened in 1966 or 197-70, the problem is what happens today and has been happening since approx 2015. The insulting of tribes, the Biafra agitation is a bigger problem for Ibos today that whatever May have happened between 1966-1970 or not. I wasn’t around in 1966, the concept of Ibo coup was never in my consciousness till recently. I grew up a Nigerian. I couldn’t care less whether it was an Ibo coup or not. What I care about is the vitriol from the Ibos and IPOB since 2015. That is a bigger hinderance for the Ibos in Nigeria than whether or not 1966 was an Ibo coup or not.

I am merely stating on record that Nabangida never stated these things as a FACT. Again he was clearly at great pains to say he was wrong, he was speculating and he was far removed from the events.

I can assure you most non Ibo Nigerians don’t care about whether it was an Ibo coup or not. What we care about is the stuff that has been coming out from the Ibos non-stop since 2015. That is what is fresh in our memories.
