These is the same govt that moved to borrow loan to finance budget nd the deficit

They claim high revenue, yet Tinubu govt cant pay pensioneers except they sell bonds, since last year corpers are yet to get new allowance

They are making high revenue, yet there is no project in the country traceable to the high revenue. does any of these add up
Vent the frustrations for your miserable family, upbringing and current life elsewhere. This thread is about a claim that there was no breakdown of the increase in budget. I have debunked that ignorant claim.

You want to discuss your miserable life or your frustrations that Obi is not president or any other issues, feel free to create another thread where those who care to engage you will engage you. I came here to discuss a misleading claim by an ignorant hillbilly who wants to be president that there was no breakdown of the increase nothing more.

https://businesstodayng.com/full-details-of-n4-52-trillion-increase-in-2025-budget/

“President Tinubu said the increase demonstrates his administration’s “commitment to inclusive growth and security”.

He added: “I propose that these funds be allocated to the following transformative expenditure areas:

“Solid minerals sector – N1 trillion: to support economic diversification by unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s vast solid mineral resources, which remain an untapped revenue stream and a vital pillar of non-oil growth.

“Recapitalisation of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA) – N1.5 trillion: to transform Nigeria’s agricultural landscape, ensure food security, and empower smallholder farmers and agribusinesses.“

“Recapitalisation of the Bank of Industry (Bol) N500billion: to provide critical support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), drive local manufacturing, and reduce dependence on imports.

“Critical Infrastructure Projects (RHID Fund) – N1.5 trillion.”

Out of the RHID Fund, irrigation development (through River Basin Development Authorities) got N380 billion.

The president continued: “Transportation infrastructure (roads and rail): N700 billion (300 billion for the construction and rehabilitation of critical roads and 400 billion for light rail network development in urban centres).

“Border communities infrastructure: N50 billion; military barracks accommodation – N250 billion, and military aviation – N120 billion.”

I have also said it before that I am grateful to the Northern voters who voted for Tinubu when even our own voted against him. The old Anambra State was formed in 1976 from the former East Central State. The state is named after Omambala River, a river that runs through the state. Anambra is the anglicized form of Omambala.
It’s like saying Oyo state was formed in 1991 because Osun state was carved out of it in 1991. Or Kano state was formed in 1991 because Jigawa was carved out of it in 1991.

What is the difference between the new Anambra and Old Anambra that is different from the cases of Oyo and Kano I cited?

I understand your analogy
Nobody is doubting the role of ElRufai but he and his supporters should not overplay their hand. Because we can point to Aisha Buhari, Masarai, Bagudu, Sule, Badaru, Matawale,Ganduje and many others who were not only part of the northerners who fought for power to move to the south but delivered state delegates for Tinubu in the primaries and delivered their states for him in the elections….unlike ElRufai.

When a man is getting the glory for what he didn’t do, as a front man for the work of others, for a role that ignored the work of others or receives glory for an accidental turn of events, he should take the applause basque in the glory and keep quiet because when he starts to overstate his importance, people will let him know the real unsung heroes whose glory he took.

When you want to overreach some may want to remind you that Atiku brought him into BPE and recommended as Fct minister and that not only did the senate reject his nomination causing Atiku to beg the Senators. Before he was confirmed but he later betrayed Atiku. Some may also want to remind you of the comments Obasanjo made regarding the character of ElRufai in his book. We may choose to bring up what hajaatu Mohammed said about him. So when God has put you in a place of glory you haven’t truly earned, basque in the glory take the accolades but don’t start assuming a messianic complex.

Gotocourt:
Good morning my brother,

''I repeat without ElRufai Tinubu wouldn’t have been president ''

I totally disagree with the aforementioned statement. Do you mean at the APC presidential primaries or 2023 general elections?
Let me give an analogy:

You have a life changing interview for a CEO role but you are late, your car breaks down, there are no buses or public transport, you are walking to the venue but you are very unlikely to get there on time. Suddenly a man in a car who taking his friend to the same office for the same interview pulls up because he is lost and asks for directions to the same office you are going, you say that’s where you are going and if he can give you a lift, you can take him there. You get in and make your interview, you get the job. His friend doesn’t get the job.

Without him you wouldn’t have gotten the job because you would not have made the interview….fact. However, He didn’t do the interview for you but he played a critical role in you arriving on time for the interview. Without the interview, there is no job. You are grateful and acknowledge his role in the events that led to your getting the job.

The matter would die there and his role would be acknowledged as a destiny shaper. In your new role as CEO, you try to show your gratitude for the role the driver played in your destiny by giving him a crucial appointment in that company but HR dept who know him very well vetoes the appointment. Even though you are the CEO, you are new in the company, you don’t start a new job by fighting HR so you acquiesce.

However later he and his friends including the one who lost out for the job start a PR campaign against you. You resist the urge to respond not to seem ungrateful for the role the driver played but the truth is he didn’t stop out of the goodness of his heart, he stopped 1) because they themselves were lost 2) they needed you to take them to the interview so they helped you because they were trying to help themselves.

So to answer your question. The role he played in insisting power goes to the south.

Whewww! Someone is triggered. You don't care and yet here you are hyperventilating on my mentions after telling me goodnight severally. Are you also one of those Southwesterners who is from Lagos? All Southwesterners are from Lagos these days, which is ironically where all our Nigerian ports are situated. Oh, and by the way, Baba Sope lost Lagos to Obi and lost Osun (even Iragbiji) to Atiku. I guess they know him better than the rest of Nigerians.

"Vote for who you know. Do not vote for who you do not know" - Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. In hindsight, I wish we had listened. Goodnight and I mean it.
You keep digressing. First you talk about SE, next you bring Osinbajo. Stick to your original threat to vote against Tinubu and insult Yorubas.

I am telling you with full chest we don’t care how you vote!

We will not be threatened or blackmailed!

We are calling your bluff! Are we the one who will suffer? Is it that Tinu I doesn’t have a home to return to if he loses? Go to hell and fork yourself along the way!

The country has had enough of your born to rule mentality! If you even developed your region and your region alone with the power we would understand. But nothing! We are trying to save you and your acting like you are doing is a favour! Was A Northerner not president when you couldn’t go to the farms and insecurity was widespread? Insecurity has gone down your farmers have returned to the farms you can travel by road and you are threatening us with votes?

Uba Sani said if not for petrol subsidy removal he would have no money because EL Rufai had pledged N4b monthly to service loans.
Recently NW governors were saying how Tinubu is doing for them in terms of agric and security saying they have never had it so good.

Much as I like Buhari he left the country bankrupt. Financially Nigeria would not have survived 2 months. He had pledged our future crude production collected the money in advance and spent it, never before happened in the history of the country, all the while presided over a drop from 2.2mbpd to 1mbpd of which over 300k bpd was pledged!

Southern kaduna are lauding Tinubu for the peace in their region.

The money your leaders were stealing was it not from Oil? The oil that under a northern former minister of petroleum fell to 1m bod is now approaching 1.8m. The same insecurity a former army general couldn’t tackle a yoruba civilian is tackling.

Tinubu is attracting the largest agric investment to Niger state ove $2b. Why couldn’t a northerner do that when you were in power?

If you like vote him out and you can return to the status quo! You think we care? Your billionaires are not investing in the North, where are BUA and Dangote’s factories? You think our development will stall if Tinubu is voted out? Or you think political power matters to us that much? You are the ones that will go back to the old ways! Aand you have the audacity to be threatening withholding votes because ElRufai lost out in a power play? Power means a lot to you because you have nothing else to show. No factories, no development, no schools no jobs no nothing and most importantly no shame or pride!

I repeat you will not die well if you don’t carry your relatives friends and townsmen and vote him out. Let’s see who will suffer! Have we not had a taste of Atiku or Obi in power before, we know how they roll! It is not as if evidence of their capabilities (or lack) do not exist!

Since you are being arrogant let me also be arrogant. We are offering you a man who of all the candidates has the best track record and solution to our problems, you need him in power more than we do because your land is desolate and underdeveloped yet you sit on Nigerias true wealth and all your past leaders have failed to exploit it. He tried to reform vat to give you incentives to mine your vast untapped minerals but your leaders are so myopic, all they see is the VAT from Lagos and oil from SS because they are not ready to work. Your minerals are secretly mined and lining the pockets of your leaders and nothing trickles down to your people. Is it the SW that is going to lose if Tinubu is voted out? Dangote’s $20b factory could easily have been located in the north if the north was peaceful but it is in the south and we will be the ones to benefit from the jobs, the taxes and the vat while your teeming youth wallow in poverty waiting to be used as votes every 4 years and bandits and terrorists between elections. So if you like vote against the man who engineered the location of Dangote’s factory in Lagos. It is not us that will suffer, that refinery and all the factories in Lagos and the SW cannot be taken away! You will tell us what factories or investment Atiku or others have brought to anywhere in their time. You have 3 recognized billionaires, none of them have their businesses in the North despite the fact that the wealth of Nigeria lies in the North and you are here as an educated fool threatening the SW with votes. In Yoruba land we call people like you oponu…google the meaning!

Nonsense!

We will not be threatened by anyone. You see power means a lot to you because that’s all you have, no factories, no development, no schools, no nothing. Power means a lot to the SE because they’ve never had it. We do not care because we are ok with or without power and we have had it many times! We have also been out of power and oppressed and thrived!

So again carry your votes and vote as you like we do not care and we will not be threatened.

Whatever happens power or no power, our region will always be ok. None of you can say that.

This is not the topic being discussed. Shifting goal posts don't win arguments.

For the last time, 2023 Obi + Kwankwaso = 7598220 votes according to INEC. Both of them have strong structure they could have been able to pull only if they were on a stronger coalition. Rivers State probably wouldn't have been traded last minute, increased voter turnout for them plus 2-3 states within the k North and South South
That is fact. That was the argument. That was their (especially Kwankwaso's) missed opportunity. Time cannot be rewound so, This conversation has ended.

Obi is not becoming president of Nigeria under any permutation. Once you can deal with that you can start to think clearly.

@Bolded is why in politics, many keep running around like headless chicken.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden moved with his family to Delaware in 1953. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965 and the Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. He was elected to the New Castle County Council in 1970 and the U.S. Senate in 1972.

Barack Obama born in 1961, was barely 9yrs old when Biden first got elected into public office. Joe Biden served as a senator from when Barack Obama was barely 11yrs in 1972 till 2009 when he became Obama's vice president.
Who be Kwankwaso that is barely 5yrs older than Peter Obi? This your type of mentality is part of what denied him a once in a lifetime opportunity to shake up the political landscape. Obi/Kwankwaso in 2023 would have been more than whatever APC pulled off against PDP in 2015.
Add Kwankwaso's official votes to Peter Obi and you're already in 1st & 2nd territory then factor in their supporters in PDP/APC who would have voted for them on a stronger coalition and you see it would have been all over before Sunday morning.
Are you trying to be a comedian or a fantasist! Atiku and ElRufai will sit down and watch Kwakwanso take the slot, Atiku will sit down and watch his life ambition disappear before his very eyes? Same you who started this discussion by saying "Elrufai did not support Tinubu. He supported Amaechi. He did it for himself", etc. You must really think Northerners are naïve. Tinubu begged Elrufai live on stage in Kaduna to work with him. Even after winning, he continued to send emissaries to persuade Elrufai to work in his government only to carry out a clandestine coup against him.

Can you explain why the likes of Shehu Sani and political adversaries of Elrufai are now stakeholders and spokespersons for the Tinubu government? You will realise the political insignificance of this new found allies of Tinubu in 2027.

Mattawale, Keyami and even Bosun had petitions against their nomination. Why then did the President intervene to clear them. Tinubu started politics in 2009 and Elrufai was Minister of the FCT 22 years ago. What other career do you know Elrufai for asides politics?

Elrufai is a career politician and whether he did it for himself or for whoever is besides the point. When Tinubu supported Buhari in 2015, wasn't he doing it for himself, hence his Emilokan speech? Nevertheless, Northerners recognised the role he played and rallied round him. If Elrufai worked hard for his party candidate with a view to contest the presidency in 2031, is that a bad thing? Was it justified for Tinubu to try to take him out of the power equation to grant other Northerners (his stooges) an advantage over him? Buhari allowed all aspirants to vie for the seat in 2023 (a move that still makes Tinubu supporters call him a betrayer for not anointing Tinubu). Osibanjo is now a persona non grata just for vieing for the seat with his "master". Where then is the internal democracy?

There is no threat anywhere in a democracy, we are just setting the record straight beforehand so no-one can attempt to rewrite history. This is history in the making. Tinubu messed up with his treacherous treatment of Elrufai and posterity will be the judge.
My friend did Tinubu not nominate him to be power minister? Who sabotage his nomination?

Let me explain something to you, look through my posts, I have never ever abused Buhari. I have said he was never a good manage r of the economy because I was alive when he was head of state. I have defended his infrastructure legacies despite his failings in other departments. Buhari is a man I will always have a lot of time for because he is the last of a dying breed of leaders who have that old school value system. But he is not a good economist or manager of the economy, he wasn’t in 1984 and he wasn’t 2015-23. If you do a word search on my posts I have acknowledged that Buhari did more for the SW than any president since 199. i I have also said Tinubu would not be president without the North, I have also acknowledged ElRufais role. But that does not mean ElRufai should seek to bring down the house he built. This is politics sometimes you lose out. You keep quiet and show your loyalty to your party.

Oga, I am an individual, I am not accountable to the views or opinions of others, just like you are not responsible for all the utterances or actions of your fellow Northerners. So please try to situate this based on what I say not what others say.

Please don’t bring Osinbajo into this. Even Buhari was shocked he tried to contest. I don’t expect that kind of comment from a Northerner. In any event did he not contest? Sometimes technocrats get thrust into power and start to think they are politicians or they know politics. Tinubu never asked for Buhari’s endorsement. All he wanted was a level playing field because he knew he would win if he got a level playing field. Buhari delivered an open playing field whether or not Tinubu was his choice is immaterial.

Finally ElRufai is not a career politician, he got into politics by accident. Tinubu has been in politics since 1992.

Like I said without being arrogant if you feel that badly about Tinubu, vote against him, if he loses he comes back home, heaven will not fall and the SW will continue to be ok. You will do 8 years and you will leave the place. He legacy is secured, his role in history is assured, nobody is reintroducing fuel subsidy, exchange rate subsidies, electricity subsidy, local government stranglehold, tax reforms etc. in 2 years he has done what others were afraid to do. If those who come after him spoil it that’s their business.

AMINDA:
Life cycle of a typical Yoruba Batist. Betrayal, dishonesty and ficklemindedness is simply politics to them. It was Elrufai that made me and mine vote Tinubu against a Northern Atiku in 2023. I never trusted him and I have been proven right.

Mind you, Atiku has not lost a single vote of his margin in 2023, he is set to add to his numbers from remorseful Nigerians (especially Northerners) who voted against him in 2023 thinking they were being fair and just. Clearly, you Southwesterners think it was done out of stupidity with how the treacherous treatment of Elrufai has unravelled before our very eyes. Just to remind you that the North gave Tinubu 6 million out of his total 8 million votes. The impact Elrufai had in that cannot be overemphasised. My advise for Tinubu will be to find a sizable chunk of that number elsewhere in 2027 as he's never getting close to that number again.
Oga no need for abuse. As an educated person you can make your point if you have any without throwing insults. If we go down the path f raining insults,I am sure you will see from my post history I am quite capable. You are free to vote for whoever you like nobody is begging you, the chips will fal where they will. I already acknowledged that without ElRufai, Tinubu would not have secured the nomination but he didn’t do it for Tinubu. His delegates voted for Amaechi and he did not deliver his state for Tinubu. I acknowledge his role in the currency saga but ElRufai does what is good for ElRufai. Even his son Bello said in the interview with Seun that his father and Tinubu have never seen eye to eye.

Oga all this one of threatening to vote for Atiku please feel free and while you are at it call all your relative and friends and villagers to vote for Atiku….we don’t care how you vote o, we can’t be threatened. The days are gone when you can talk as if this power belongs to you. we are not desperate for power o. We have had 4 presidents or heads of state and 1 Vice President. We are not the ones desperate for presidency. That does not mean we don’t acknowledge the role the North played in Tinubu’s victory but don’t start getting arrogant. This is not a master slave relationship and we can’t be threatened! If Tinubu loses he loses, heaven will not fall but abeg, this attitude of yours you are displaying as if the North owns Nigeria bury it!….fast If Tinubu loses so be it, it’s your loss, what have you achieved for the North with all your years in power?

I repeat without ElRufai Tinubu wouldn’t have been president but he wasn’t doing it for Tinubu. It wasn’t entirely altruistic. I also repeat it was his fellow Northerners that sabotaged his ministerial nomination. If ElRufai has a problem it is with his fellow Northerners. Tinubu was shut out of power for 8 years by the same people he helped with his own resources to the presidency, did you see him disparaging the government or forming opposition alliance? Instead he came back to be Buhari’s campaign co-chairman for his second term.

Like I said, if you want to vote for Atiku, feel free but don’t come here talking with a sense of arrogance or entitlement threatening anybody. Whatever happens to Nigeria we will always be the most viable region in the country. It is you that needs good leaders more than anyone. I have always been respectful of Mallam and I have always acknowledged his intellect but that does not mean I can’t speak the truth as I see it.

What arrogant nonsense!

SoftSport:
Your perspective raises some important points, but I respectfully disagree with your conclusions.

Firstly, while it's true that skilled workers do not have to become citizens, many sectors in the UK rely on their ongoing contributions, both economically and socially. Sending them back after a short period can lead to constant workforce disruptions and a loss of expertise that hampers innovation and growth. Countries like Germany and Canada actively encourage skilled migrants to settle because they understand the long-term benefits for their economies.

Secondly, diversity is not what's "killing Britain." In fact, Britain's success as a global leader has often been fueled by the contributions of people from diverse backgrounds. From healthcare workers keeping the NHS afloat to innovators in tech and science, migrants have enriched British society and strengthened its economy.

Lastly, the notion that Kemi Badenoch is doing what "whites are afraid to do" perpetuates a divisive narrative that undermines meaningful discussions on immigration policy. Policies should be judged on their merits and effectiveness, not the identity of the person advocating them. Framing it as a racial issue distracts from finding balanced solutions that serve everyone in the country.

Thoughtful immigration policies should aim to benefit the nation as a whole while maintaining fairness and compassion. A nuanced approach is far more productive than one driven by exclusionary rhetoric.
You don’t have to be a citizen to work in the uk for as long as you want.

As for the rest, you are looking at it from the point of view of an outsider. I lived in the Uk and I can tell you for free that now when I vist I shake my head and feel sorry for them because foreigners have destroyed the UK. Nobody owes you any compassion, that’s the problem. You can’t go to another man’s country and be telling them what to do and not respect the culture and ways of the inhabitants but instead seek to tell them to change to accommodate you. Go back home!

One thing I have learnt about immigrants, having a few is fine because they confirm to your society and usually the reason they emigrate is because they have destroyed their own societies. The minute you start allowing them to immigrate in large numbers they bring the same destruction to your society that they inflicted on theirs. You don’t see Americans or Saudis or Emiratis or Australians immigrating tour UK in large numbers do you? It is always broken societies and it is always people who have destroyed their societies. Furthermore, immigration should not be allowed in large numbers from countries or peoples whose cultures are dissimilar from yours.

I am sorry diversity is the precursor to the destruction of your society. It is BS from the woke leftists. Show me a diverse society that has allowed unfettered immigration that is not facing societal upheavals? People who are not like you cannot be allowed in large numbers to operate under the same rules as you because they will abuse your system. UAE will allow you but their laws are very strict and they will never give you citizenship. That’s why their society retains its culture and identity. You don’t give your freedoms to people fleeing from countries where they don’t know how to operate with freedoms.

If they cannot find workers what is your own business? Wetin concern you?

Everybody is wising up to immigrants especially those who are not like you. They eventually cause more harm than good in a society of freedoms and civil liberties.
