TechBaron:Last time I checked the Oval Office is not the battle front. To you and all the other eeediots like oluwaseyi0 fxexperts jlow2 olofofocorner dustmalik etc who do not understand proper diplomatic decorum or likely no exposure or grounding in proper etiquette or exposure to high stakes environment, It turns out even before the meeting with Trump, journalists asked him why he isn’t wearing a suit and considered it disrespectful. In the end, the whole narrative about the meeting is about him being disrespectful. It all starts with the way you present yourself. The White House is not a battle front, you are coming to sign an international treaty! When you visit another country and are not dressed appropriately, you have already sown a seed of irritation in your hosts. If you are having a formal event in your house or offic and someone appears dressed inappropriately, you are already quietly irritated but you may tolerate them but they are on thin ice and you will be less tolerant to any further misbehavior. At the slightest misbehavior you are inclined to kick them out. What happened today at the White House was less likely to occur if he had worn a suit. He had already planted the seed of disrespect in the minds of his hosts. At the slightest disagreement they kicked him out! This is not a bolekaja engagement. Even nightclubs have dress codes….No trainers! It is because we don’t respect ourselves or probably due to colo mentality inferiority complex that we allow nonsense. I cringe sometimes when I see foreigners visit Nigerian president and governors in casuals and shorts. How do you wear shorts to visit a governor? Zuckerberg that always wears a tshirt wears a suit whenever he appears before the US senate but he will come here and wear tshirt and we will be excited!
|
oluwaseyi0:that is why no serious leader will visit another country for a formal visit dressed the way Zelensky was dressed stop asking stoooopuid questions |
OlofofoCorner:No Nigerian leader has ever worn a suit to a state visit because it is not our national attire. Every Nigerian leader from Balewa to Tinubu has either worn agbada or military uniform. Any self respecting leader of a nation with self respect and pride wears his/her country’s formal attire for a state visit. Except you are a military leader when formal military uniform Is allowed. |
OlofofoCorner:Like I said you are daft. So a Nigerian leader should wear a suit to Ghana? Or a Nigerian leader should wear a suit to America? Like I said examine your poor education, it’s the root of your problems. he is a European head of state, a suit is the formal attire for a state visit for him. You are daft! |
OlofofoCorner:where is it in what i said that an African president must wear a suit? this is why you fail exams and interviews and then you blame the whole world for your woes, when in fact your poor education is the problem. |
lexy2014:it may play to the dumb audience back home in Ukraine and a few international dimwits but this is the thing...when you appear for a state visit and cant be bothered to dress appropriately, your host or those on the other side of the table do not take you seriously...its human nature. and the way he has been treated it is clear he isnt being taken seriously! |
Ndenomy:you are the dumb one. Putin no dey wear suit? abi no be the same war them dey fight? is the war in the white house? is he at the battle front? is he the first to fight a war? |
themanderon:and how is that going for him with his casual attire? is the white house part of his battle front? Russia no dey fight war? mikeapollo:is he the first person to fight a war? is he winning the war with his casual dressing style? those that won wars in the past did they wear casual attire to diplomatic state visits? nonsense. the guy is a bufffffooon simple as! if he cannot even dress apppropriately when meeting world leaders, its no surprise they all treat him as a foool and a pawn. people will treat you the way you present yourself. you present yourself as a clown they will treat you like a clown.
|
this Zelensky is not serious. somebody who embarks on state vists and cant even wear a suit....show some respect. I blame Biden and Europe for leading him on in a war he could never win. |
SmartPolician:All these allegations whether true or not will result in a situation where men just hire smart but unattractive women. At least if an unattractive woman wrongfully accuses you of harassing her, the world will laugh at her. |
all the women celebrating the nonsense natasha is doing don't realize she is doing women a disservice. I applaud ireti for standing up and not hiding under womenhood because she knows the negative implications for women. |
cyberguy72:that's the way you interpret it, I am responsible for what I said not your interpretation, your intellect or lack thereof. Plus politician plus technocrat, they are all corrupt. if anything it is the technocrats that teach the politicians how to steal. A politician cannot steal without the civil servants. Remember a governor once said “I don’t sign Cheques”. Who was the career technocrat accountant general under Wike? |
NgeneUkwenu:I keep saying it, technocrats often get carried away when they get into office. a technocrat can’t win a political battle against a proper politician. |
This woman is a drama queen! |
This Tijani is 100% Tinubu’s worst minister. |
Yampotatocarrot:I am talking about senatorial district not local government. Obasa represents Lagos west. Alimosho and Agege are both in Lagos west. Part of the problem with the speakership is the senatorial district of the speaker. |
press9jatv:ElRufai is not strong in any grassroots! He cannot get 50k votes in kaduna today. He won elections just like Ambode and Sanwoolu because he was the annoited of the party and in his case Buhari. All the state house of assembly members, I repeat ALL voted against him. These are the people closest to the grassroots. If he were that popular fear will catch at least 1 assembly member. All voted against him. |
press9jatv:Don’t confuse technocrats who were installed with politicians. I keep telling you people that people like Ambode, Osinbajo, ElRufai, SanwoOlu etc are technocrats they are not politicians, they have no political base. Sometimes the power of office gets to their heads and they get carried away thinking they are more powerful than they are. They can never win a battle of politics except the person who installed them is backing them. They are not where they are of their own political merit. In a battle between sanwoolu and Obasa, Sanwoolu will lose out every day because Sanwo Olu has no base and Obasa is from the largest political base in Lagos state. |
SalamRushdie: YoruBads:better than killing citizens with fake and expired drugs, fake soft drinks, fake alchohol, fake palm oil, fake fufu, fake electronics, fake spareparts and ofcourse lest we forget, hard drugs. |
Menclothing1:its because you havent done the proper analysis. solar is cheaper than band A your panels have a 25 year lifespan and lithium batteries will last 10 years even if you change your inverter 3 times in 10yrs it is still cheaper than band A over the 10 year period. band A tarrif will rise during the 10yr period, once you install solar you have installed solar and you have no bills. finally band A does not mean you have constant electricity and does not protect your equipment from low voltage and voltage spikes which having an inverter and solar does. I am on band A, they will still give you an average of 20hrs a day but sometimes they take light 5,6 times in a day, sometimes 4 times in an hr. band A does not mean you will have light every day, we have had days when there is no nepa at all for the whole day then there will be NEPA for 1 week straight. Band A does not help you when the grid collapses. You can have no light for 4 days straight and your disco will still be compliant with the 20hr commitment. It is average of 20hrs a day not a guarantee of 20hrs every day! Whether you are on band A or not you will still require a generator or an inverter and battery so why not just add solar and forget about nepa? |
COMPAQ:assumptions: 1. if your band a bill is 100K it means you consume about 444kw per month or 14kwh per day 2. your average hourly consumption is 14kw/24 or .583kwh 3. average monthly bill is 100k which means in 2 years you spend 2.4m on electricity calculations: to generate 14kwh per day you need 4.4kw of solar panels, 8 x 550w panels = N1m 5kw lithium battery N1.2m 2.5-3kw inverter 300K installation ? total excluding installation N2.5 million or 2 years payback if you like you can replace the battery with 7.5KW for more storage capacity at 1.5M (instead of 1.2m) and the inverter with a higher capacity or higher quality for 500-600K (instead of 300K) , add 2 more panels for 5.5kw of panels @ 125k each, increasing your total to N3.2 m or 2 yrs 8 months payback thereafter all your electricity is free. Assuming tarrif never goes up, Over 5 years you will pay 6m on band A and over 5 years you will have paid 3.2m with the more expensive second option. |
Mikespecialone:she is not a wife. real men dont marry such women. |
Michelle70:If you are on Band A, you are better off installing solar. You recoup your money in 2 years and your electricity is free thereafter. You are also immune from future tarrif hikes. |
I really dont know why even the most educated and highly placed of Nigerians talk like illiterates. IREV has no force of law, it is not used to collate votes so I really don’t know why all the fuss over Irev! The only purpose of irev is for voters to view the results at individual polling units. So whether irev has glitches or not, whether irev results were tampered with or not, it does not affect the announced results. Again INEC does not use the results on irev to collate the votes. INEC uses the physical form EC8 produced at thee Pu of which each party agent and the police have a copy to calculate results not irev At best you can say failure of irev is a confidence thing but it does not affect the results because it is not what is on irev that is used to calculate votes at the colation centers. Jesus wept again! |
I listened to the Ozigbo interview. He is not a serious person. My takeaway…He is not a sincere or straightforward man. I support APC but if I were from Anambra I wouldn’t vote for him or even give him the ticket. I would stick with Soludo! It’s a pity Ifeanyii Uba died! |
Ibst:Mourinho and Wenger! Wenger once fielded an all black outfield team (ex keeper) Our last national coach was recommended by Mourinho! |
Image123:Thank you o! Meanwhile she is still in APC loyal and supporting her party and the administration! |
The average Nigerian brain needs to be examined. We come up with some utterly uninformed comments. People like Ngozi, Osinbajo, Adeshina are exactly the kind of people that would be disasters as presidents. They are people you appoint o positions and give them the political cover to do their jobs. Only a gangster, someone not afraid to live permanently on the the line between legality and illegality can effectively run Nigeria. All these technocrats, we like to play by the rules. The problem in a country where 90% of the citizens are criminally minded and lawbreakers is that they will use that same rule of law to derail your government. They will sabotage you left right and center and Nothing will get done and whatever reputation you brought to government will be destroyed. I remember telling people of Anambra that they will be disappointed under Soludo because he is a technocrat in a post that requires a well intentioned gangster. I noticed they started complaining. We are a nation of criminally minded people whose default mode is to break the law. It is not a follower of the law or due process you put to manage such people but a fellow criminally minded law breaker! |
SmartPolician:He would have lost! You clearly don’t understand politics. 1) Ambode does not have a political structure , he owes his rise to governor to the structure of the party in Lagos. 2) PDP has never done well in Lagos have they ever won a seat even at state assembly or house of rep level ever? Think before you post! 3) Edo is traditionally a state that swings even from the days of Awo, it swung between UPN and NPN. In this democracy it has been a PDP state more than APC so not the same as Lagos that has never been governed by any party other than AG, UPN, AD, ACN,APC which are all traditionally offshoots of AG. 4) Osinbajo fought how did that end up for him? In politics you either have your own structure or you have a party that has a sting structure. If as a technocrat you get into power and start to beleive your own hype you will be humiliated. ElRufai will be humiliated. He already has been……do you know what it means for all state assembly members to vote against him? Do you know what it means for your state governor to reject your nomination as minister and to recall your nominee? If he was still relevant do you think that governor or state assembly member will get re-elected? ElRufai is a technocrat not a politician. He will be taught politics 101…..your ability to deliver votes determines your relevance in politics. MC Oluomo has more votes in his pocket in Lagos that ElRufai can influence in the entire North. Every move is a political calculation. Tinubu, Nuru and Sani have made the calculation that the downside of losing ElRufai is outweighed by the upside of not having him in power. 2027 will tell who is right but right now, it is ElRufai who looks bothered! Peter Obi is more relevant politically than ElRufai, Obi had 6m votes in the last election that were down to him and him alone. ElRufai despite being a governor could only deliver 390k votes of which probably 90% are down to the party. El Rufai cannot influence more than 50k APC voters to vote against Tinubu that would have voted for him if ElRufai was with him. Even Obi without a structure and without being an incumbent in got 300k votes in Kaduna so please enough of the overestimating of Mallam politically! Even his son refuses to back his father because he knows it is politically suicidal for him. |
SmartPolician:Actually Ambode fought but the party was against him. It wasn’t Tinubu that removed Ambode, it was the party. Tinubu’s hands were tied. Ambode’s error was he governed like a technocrat forgetting it was the party that put him in power. A leader is only a leader because he enjoys the confidence of his followers. If the followers say they don’t want Ambode, it is bye bye Ambode, if the followers say they don’t want ElRufai, it is bye bye ElRufai. If the followers say they don’t want Mudashiru, it is bye bye Mudashiru but put someone there that represents Lagos west. The day you stop listening to your followers is the day you stop becoming a leader and transition to a dictator. When a leader listens to his followers, the day that leader says this is where we are going, the followers follow come rain come sunshine. Many Nigerians don’t understand leadership, many Nigerians are dictators and rulers! |
AdeYORUFAFO:The reason they are “republican” is what I have told you. You are the reminants of a slave camp and as such never had an organized hierarchical or royal structure because Ibo land was a transit slave holding camp where captured slaves from other parts of Africa were deposited before shipping to the west. There is nowhere in Africa that wasn’t ruled by Kings it Un- African. In fact there is no where in the world. It is only people who have been removed from such an environment of kingship that given the chance to start afresh in a new environment refuse to accept such a social structure. It is not unsimilar to the US or Australia, except they weren’t slaves. I have just told you why! Like I said feel free to tell us any gathering of humans anywhere in the world that were not ruled by Kings, so why is your case different? Why are you so keen to change your name from Ibo to Igbo? Go and do your research and find out the true origin of the word Ibo. How is it possible for a group of landlocked people to live in an area surrounded by empires and Kings and not be a kingdom themselves? Think about it! Because you were a place where slaves were held for processing before shipment! Ever wondered why you are the only ethnic group in Nigeria who can’t really give a true account of your history and when you attempt it is the shortest? |
Brown2012:You are not a man, you are an eediot. She broke the rules and co to ied to break the rules even when she was told. she disrespected the senate, she disrespected herself. Elected by your people does not mean she should not follow the rules. |
