The real problem with the executive recklessness going on in Rivers is anything done by the commissioners and even any contracts for that period are null and void. If there is a dispute in future between a contractor and the government, a contractor can come out and say that the transaction was illegal because the commissioner had no legal right to sign the contract. Any thing signed by those improperly confirmed commissioners, political appointees, any contract etc are null and void because under the law they do not exist. A contractor can default and claim the contract was fraudulent because the commissioner who signed it was illegally parading himself as a commissioner. |
Mrtaye:He hasn’t refuted the allegations that she lied about Ajaokuta. |
professorPABX:He obviously had Fayemi’s consent. He will not say Fayemi will be bringing a petition if he hasn’t spoken to him. The problem now is that now that Natasha has managed to change to topic to sexual harassment, Fayemi might change his mind and think to himself abeg I dont need this kind of wahala for myself and my family. His error was talking before he had the petition from Fayemi. In any event they are from the same state and the same party. |
oyeb15:Did you actually watch the proceedings, did you actually read the transcript of what Fasuyi said? Fasuyi acccused Natasha of falsely accusing Fayemi of selling Ajaookuta. Natasha responded by saying she never accused Fayemi of sexual assault….she changed the topic. See how manipulative women operate? She changed the conversation! Instead of talking about how she falsely accused Fayemi of Selling Ajaokuta, because of weak men like you, the topic is now Fasuyi lied (he didn’t) and now she has managed to get Fayemi to attack her accuser. My guy, you need to be careful, a manipulative woman will run rings around you. |
Islie:Fasuyi never made such an allegation, what he said was that she falsely claimed Fayemi sold Ajaokuta. It was Natasha the drama queen that responded by saying she never made any sexual harassment against Fayemi. The text of what transpired is above, Fasuyi never mentioned sexual harassment. |
alezzy13:Noted! |
Maxymilliano:She didn’t read the rule book on seating arrangements, she didn’t read the rule book on petitions. Some women are used to using their femininity to get ahead in life and don’t know how to function in a structured rules based environment. |
Mynd44:We told them they argued so most of this we knew. What is new to me anyway is that the Supreme Court has said only a speaker can declare a seat vacant. |
Tflex01:You forgot to add she has 4 children from different men! |
LagosOrigin:Imagine that? |
SeverusSnape:He deserves impeachment but he can’t be impeached. For spending money without parliamentary approval, for demolishing the state house of assembly, for withdrawal salaries of assembly members etc. all impeachable offenses. He’s a very lucky man. |
MetaMatrix:I hope you know you could have googled it in the time it took you to type and wait for my response? And it is part of what I am saying, we live in a world of headlines where people don’t fact-check. https://dailytrust.com/how-natasha-accused-me-of-sexually-assaulting-her-at-aso-rock-reno-omokri/ And by the way it’s not only Reno she has accused, she accused Dino, one minister, Yahaya Bello. It just Reno was lucky he could prove he wasn’t even in the country so could not have been at the event. https://x.com/renoomokri/status/1895889868120867248?s=61

Natasha is petitioning because she has boxed herself into a corner. I don’t believe her and she has no evidence and knows she has none. She happens to know that there is a woke movement typified by the presenters on Arise news who will back her whether she is telling the truth or not. In all the back and forth over this matter, Arise Tv has never found it fit to mention that she falsely accused Reno amd only backed down and deleted her posts when Reno proved he wasn’t in the country. Again I warn men, be careful with women, don’t put yourselves in a position where a woman can accuse you falsely or not. Very few will be able to prove it is a lie like Reno. one allegation can damage you and they don’t have to prove anything. The world we live in will believe them. We live in a world of her word against yours, a world of public opinion not facts. Be warned! |
TechCapon:No victor no vanquished! Fubara can’t be impeached. Ijaw militants won’t allow it and therefore for the sake of oil production, Tinubu won’t allow it. That’s his saving grace….but the man daft no be small! |
Let’s this serve as a lesson to men….be careful with women especially in this day of feminism and me too. A single accusation can damage you and she doesn’t need to prove itand people will believe her whether true or not. There is a whole business of foreign aid sponsored women groups waiting to pounce on you to justify their Foreign aid…….keep women at arms length especially at work. Don’t say you weren’t warned! Be careful with women, If possible don’t employ them or be in close proximity with them, always employ a man if you have a choice and if you must employ a woman employ the ugliest one that qualifies for the job. Women are being encouraged by these groups…be careful! |
Mercylike:RUN AWAY FROM SINGLE MOTHERS! The Baby daddy is in a good relationship with her but did not see it fit to marry the mother of his child? Some men need beating! |
shortgun:Is Tinubu also the reason your IQ is so low? |
zero8zero:Actually unexploited areas can often offer the best returns. Plus sometimes you can overinvest in an area. Plus Lagos is too congested abeg! |
Broveens42:Please don’t bring tribe into this. |
Acidosis:1st woman with a phd was an achievement, 1st black woman, 1st Nigerian, But when we get to the level of 1st from a field or you have to say 1st from a specific university, we are getting into the territory of the ridiculous. Congrats to her but please this is nonsense! It’s no longer a big. Deal for a Nigerian woman to have a PhD, it’s no longer new for a woman to be in aeronautics so what are we celebrating? This is not the 1960s when this was a big deal! |
Ojuntana:In your dreams! We know your type trying desperately to blend in. And if you are you are definitely an omo ale! Not well brought up! |
Ojuntana:The problem with people like you is you are ignorant but you think you know. You have no idea of politics, you approach politics with emotion and Nzogbu Nzogbu and that’s why you always end up holding the short straw….even when you “win” you are junior partners. You clearly don’t understand Leadership or Lagos politics. Tinubu did not want Fashola to contest 2nd term but he was overruled. Tinubu withdrew support for Ambode because he was told to. Who made Tinubu a governor in the 1st place? You clearly don’t understand Lagos politics and the real power in Lagos. The real power in Lagos you ignoramuses have never heard of them. Tinubu may be the face of Lagos but there are people who run Lagos politics and even Tinubu listens to them and dare not go against them. If they say they want Meranda out and Obasa back, just like Fashola and Ambode, Tinubu dare not do otherwise! The reason power eludes you people is because you don’t understand power or leadership or the difference between a leader and a ruler. The power of a leader comes from his followers. A leader does what the followers want or he will have no one to lead! Go and learn politics 101, Tinubu has bigger things to worry about than Lagos state politics and who or who is speaker! It is those who run Lagos politics that said no you can’t do this. |
Ojuntana:Politics 101: your relevance in politics is anchored on your ability to deliver votes. He who cannot deliver votes is irrelevant. He who can deliver votes must be taken care of. If nobody is taking care of or listening you, understand before they tell you that you don’t matter. Personal advice: face the matter in your zone. Lagos or SW politics is none of your business! |
Ojuntana:Did the people of Lagos complain to you? Can a non indigene even contest in your zone? Eeediot! |
Ojuntana:Did he not win the election? Your relevance in politics is anchored on your ability to deliver votes. Be thankful Tinubu actually gave SE deputy speaker slot. There is no law that says principal officers of the senate or house at national or state level must be balanced. Balancing is a political permutation. If you put all your eggs in one basket, and the basket fall….no egg for you. This is not a constitutional matter but a political matter, Lagos west is the most important senatorial district for APC. |
Eriokanmi:Please be informed in your analysis. Lagos has 3 senatorial zones of which Lagos west is the largest. The 3 principal officers in government are the governor, the deputy governor and the speaker. Prior to his removal, those 3 positions were balanced among the senatorial zones. The house removed Obasa without consultation of the GAC or Tinubu. From what I understand neither were opposed to the removal of Obasa but felt it was done in a manner that altered the political balance of Lagos. It is like removing Akpabio as SP and promoting his deputy leaving SS without representation! For that reason Meranda’s position as speaker was always untenable. The speaker has to come from Lagos west. The solution was either to get someone else from Lagos west or reinstate Obasa. It wasn’t an action against Meranda or an action in favour of Obasa. It was an action to maintain political balance and in order not to exclude the largest senatorial district in Lagos. It is not about the persons but the districts they represent. Lagos east/central are no more Lagosian than Lagos west. If any Lagos west are more important. One mistake people make is to confuse colonial or pre-1967 Lagos with Lagos state. “Lagos is a small area, Lagos island, ijora, Apapa etc etc. Lagos state as we know it today was created out of western region to include places that were not part of “Lagos state” as we know it today. Ikorodu, Epe, Ajah for example people are historically ijebus. Places that would be part of todays Ogun state. Lagos in 1960 did not include Ikeja, Badagry, Ketu, Epe, isolo, Ajah, Ikorodu etc etc because in 1960 “Lagos was not a state but a small geographical area. It’s similar to thinking citizens from Kano city or Kaduna city are more important that citizens from other towns in Kano or Kaduna states…..NO! So people from Lagos island like Doherty talking like they are superior to other Lagosian is delusional. When Lagos was a district you could understand but Lagos is a state. Besides Doherty and his like are slave descendants. Most of those “Lagosians” with slave names are originally from Oyo, ilesha, egba etc not Lagos. As for the origin of Obasa, I can’t comment but like I said most Lagosians (Lagos state) have ancestral connections to Ogun state. That you are not from “old Lagos” does not mean you are not a bona-fide Lagosian. When we are talking of Lagos the state, the man from Lagos island is just as equal as the guy from Epe, ikorodu, Badagry, Ketu Ipaja etc. most importantly, Lagos west is the largest senatorial district and can’t be excluded. So even if Obasa did not return, it is political suicide to retain Meranda and exclude Lagos west. Doherty’s statement that she betrayed Lagosians (if it was genuine and not politics) shows an arrogance of some those who come from Lagos island thinking they are superior to other Lagosians. Lagos is a state! In a state of 3 senatorial districts, one district cannot occupy 2 of the 3 top positions especially to the exclusion of the largest! Why bring back Obasa and not someone else from Lagos west….that I can’t answer! One thing I know, they understand political permutations and they know how to win elections. |
Ojuntana:What was the imbalance? |
That statement is why Doherty is not the governor and never will be. He doesn’t understand politics. In Nigeria there is always balancing. The governor and the deputy come from Lagos east and central. Meranda also comes from Lagos central. Lagos west is the largest senatorial district in the state. It cannot be excluded from the top 3 positions in the state. Bring someone else from Lagos west but Mrranda cannot occupy that position. |
otipoju:You forgot to add that she has 4 children from different men. |
patriotism my arss! his lawyers have told him he will lose the case. |
Adebanjo has died, the personal grudge against Tinubu is dead. Afenifere has found its voice! |
Speakership is reserved for Lagos west senatorial district. Obasa or no Obasa, She was always temporary. |
