There is a thread about NIgerians not making the top 50 list of countries with High IQs. This thread is an example. Long write up, 4 pictures of politicians and not a single picture of the ibom hotels and golf resort. You now see an example of why we dont make the list of high IQ countries? Cc: softmirror To the OP, we know what Eno looks like next time show the pictures of the hotel, instead of devoting all your 4 pictures to the governor.

chiiraq802:And that is the truth. Obi and Atiku have snookered themselves by leaving PDP. After 2031 Obi and Atiku will be politically retired and their respective platforms will go back to what they were…….emergency SPV platforms for aggrieved people to contest. |
orisa37:Posts like these is why Nigeria did not make the top 50 countries in the world in terms of IQ. It won’t make top 100 either. |
You only have to read Nairaland to know Nigerians are not intelligent. Like someone said cunny is not intelligent. I would actually say the majority of Nigerians are structurally unintelligent. Nigeria with the combined forces of tribe, religion and a weak colonial education system is guaranteed to produce that outcome. As an example, there is a thread in the trending section about Ibom golf resort. It is a long write up with 4 pictures of the governor. Not a single picture of the subject matter…the golf resort. That’s an example of why we don’t make the top 50 list. https://www.nairaland.com/8511547/well-not-run-ibom-hotels#136672278 I actually googled images of the resort. It’s beautiful. But the author in his infinite wisdom did not deem it fit to present a single picture instead wasting people’s data on 4 pictures of the governor. Then we wonder why we don’t make top 50 IQ countries. |
Omowale2023:He met inflation at 18.9%. The previous year it was 16%. It is now down to I believe 23% and falling. With a stable currency, inflation will keep on falling. |
ddippset:Ok clap for yourself. You happy? Blocked! I don’t have time for conversations with nonsense people! |
ddippset:You are arguing emotionally. The person I responded to said Tinubu saved Wike. There is. Toni g Fubara could have done to Wike because the SC judgement had rendered him impotent. That is the point I am arguing. I said no Tinubu did not save Wike because at that point there was nothing Fubara could do and he had snookered himself. You can argue that Wike could not have impeached Fubara and you may be right but also could be wrong but Fubara himself was snookered. Therefore to say it was Tinubu who saved Wike is wrong. That is the point I am arguing. Please before you quote me, follow the trail of the conversation. The guy said If not for Tinubu, Fubara would have dealt with Wike and I said no. Fubara had become powerless as a result of the Supreme Court ruling. Whether or not Wike could have impeached Fubara is conjecture at this point and immaterial to the discussion. There is a) Wike dealing with Fubara and b) Fubara dealing with Wike. 2 different things. We know Fubara was powerless to deal with Wike, assuming but not conceding that Wike could not have impeached Fubara, At best the situation was a stalemate. So back to my original post Tinubu did not dpsave Wike as there was nothing Fubara could have done to Wike as a result of the SC ruling. He had already lost his battle with whether or not Wike could have impeached him. I want to take you out, you want to take me out. We both hire assassins. There are 2 separate assasination attempts going on. I don’t know why people can’t get this basic concept. You take out my assassin so my attempt to eliminate you has failed is separate from the assassin you sent to take me out is not up to the task and would have failed if a 3rd party did not arrange a truce. |
mastermaestro:Believe what you want. The facts are out there. Did the Supreme Court rule that the suspended legislators must be recalled? Did the Supreme Court rule that he must represent the budget and reconfirm all his appointees before the full assembly, did the Supreme Court say he was operating like a dictator Did the Supreme Court rule there was no government in rivers state? Did the Supreme Court rule that he was operating illegally by spending without a budget? The thing about this world is that facts are sacred but we are free to believe what we want. |
blackgold2018:Is was Fubara Tinubu saved. His plans were not going fine, he was about to be impeached. The Supreme Court had ruled all his so called “fine plans” illegal. The SC had ruled his budget illegal and that the suspended members must be allowed to sit and he must present his budget and commissioners to them for approval. Once they seat, he would have been 8mpeached. Wike did not need Tinubu’s help to remove Fubara,, Fubara had already walked into Wike’s trap. |
EBEk101:I know the story is fake! There is no way a girl comes from that kind of home. You dated her you didn’t see signs. You made wedding plans (don’t forget he said he cancelled the wedding meaning he had already meet the parents) and they never displayed this kind of behaviour? How todo you call off a wedding that didn’t involve the parents? Meaning it’s not his first time meeting the parents. C’mon we are not children and not all of us are gullible! |
EBEk101:What I said was if it was true, a girl who comes from such a home would have displayed such traits. You don’t need to visit her home to know she is not wife material. Hence it is a fake story. There are things a girl raised in that environment will have displayed in the course of dating. |
EBEk101:Recognize a fake story when you see one! NotOfThisWorld:I could have believed the story if he didn’t overdo it and say the mother was shouting at the father. A woman who comes from that kind of home would have displayed the signs in the relationship such that marriage would never have been on your radar. The point still remains valid even though it is a fake story. It is what a woman sees at home that they take to their marital home. |
zero8zero:It’s been $21b for over a decade. Last pic directly from world bank site
|
MadPolitician:I would have said one day you will become wise but your fathers did exactly what you are doing and they died without wisdom. No Biafra, no presidency, no wisdom….just noise throughout their lives and death. The apple never falls far from the tree. As the lyrics of a Sunny Ade song goes….Omo o le jo baba, ka ma bi nu Omo”…….a son cannot resemble his father and you are annoyed with the son. |
Chemical1:Many of them don’t think. You can only write results where you are strong, same way obi rigged results in the east. |
MadPolitician:I though you people would be taking the matter to UK and Eu parliament or US congress? Nonsense people! |
PrincessDiana:Total remittances are about $21b annually and have been for over a decade but most of it is informal. All Abiri is saying is that of that $21b this is the amount that is now coming in via official channels and the monthly increase in share. The amount is not the total. Egg on your face! It is you who doesn’t understand what you read. Let me explain it to you like a child. My workers were all paid cash. Total salaries = $21b. I now implement an electronic payment scheme and while many workers have opened bank accounts many haven’t, many can’t and a few won’t because I can’t force them. My annual salaries are still $21b but more and more of my workers are opening accounts. The number of workers who are paid electronically is rising every month as workers open accounts $200m in the previous month to $600m this month. The overall monthly salary still remains at $1.7b ($21/12) The report is not about the rise in total remittances. It still remains at $21b annually It is about the rise in remittances via official channels. Capiche? Cc: @zero8zero |
PrincessDiana:This is the story of the typical Nigerian who started his journey in education after the 1990s. By this time the best teachers had started to quit the education sector. The result is that he reads but does not understand what he read. His education is incomplete. He speaks English but does not understand English. Because when he reads a statement that says more and more people are sending money via the official channels it is clear that even the authorities acknowledge they have not been able to bring all remittances into the official channels….in fact they can never. No remittances are 100% via official channels anywhere in the world. To start with not most diasporans don’t have accounts in Nigeria. Many of them especially those abroad illegally have not visited in a long time. Many of them are not aware of the non resident BVN. Many of them have better things doing abroad to know what is going on in Nigeria. The scheme is less than a year old. Many don’t send money home that frequently to bother to open a foreign BVN account. As a result many remittances still go through the old informal channels. Even I have facilitated Naira payments for many diasporans. For many diasporans the bank charges for small sums in not worth the hassle. For instance the minimum for international transfer via my UK bank is £15 to a country outside the EU. Which means someone in the Uk who wants to transfer a small sum like £100-500, may consider it more prudent to still use unofficial channels. For international transfers outside the EU most UK banks charge 1.5%. Even within the EU if you want to make a same day transfer you will pay a fee. If you don’t want to pay a fee it will take you 2 days. Most banks charge a minimum fee for international transfers. I have accounts in the Uk. Nigerian banks also charge a fee to receive. Furthermore if you want a rapid transfer the fees are even higher. When you can just call your usual unofficial guy and get your money in seconds. Yes there are fintechs but not everyone has a regular need to remit to warrant opening a fintech. Clearly you are not as knowledgeable as you are portraying. Below are screenshots from my UK bank app. As you can see if someone in the Uk needs to send a small anmount to Nigeria urgently they will use the unofficial sector rather than pay £15 charge. Note even the £15 charge is not a same day transfer. If it’s a large amount and I’m not in a hurry then I may use the official channel.

Kobojunkie:When people read but don’t comprehend it leads to poor understanding of the issues. This is the amount of remittances that is now coming in via official channels not the total remittances. It means instead of the past where Nigerians abroad bring in cash and exchange to Naira via street vendors or look for someone who needs forex and credit the person’s account abroad in exchange for credit to Naira account. More and more diasporans are either using their foreign cards in Nigeria or transferring the monies direct to their accounts in Nigeria. That’s what they mean by official forex inflows. It means more of the diaspora remittances now sits inside the formal banking system. When they say go to a good school, it is not a scam! |
YourKarma:You clearly don’t understand the comment. Can you imagine portable as a minister? Not as extreme as portable but that’s what I mean. These people don’t have the profile, stature, the presence the temperament etc to be close to power talk less be important pillars. |
These comedians don’t seem to understand their movement is DOA. Can you imagine this Tanko of a fellow being an important figure in the government? Somebody who looks like and talks like a clerk in the local government office! We really have suffered with the Obidient movement sha, the toe of charlatans that have been elevated to our national consciousness. People like Aisha, Tanko and Sarah, We have suffered! |
Houseofglam7:12 years no envelopes dropping, no VIP invitations, no Xmas hampers from people seeking access can cause a hungry man to be a Supreme Court judge in his house. |
ogascomax:I apologize in advance that I didn’t read your entire post. I stopped at “good looking”. From that point on your judgement is faulty. If because a man is good looking it makes him a good man, the problem is you. Good looking should never be a reason to consider a man or woman husband or wife material. It only serves as a point of attraction. Did I mention good looking as a quality of a good man or woman? That’s where most of you lose the plot. The deceit and foolery of man is to think his own case is different. Laws of man hold because man does not change that’s why if you read the Bible, the laws and words of wisdom in books like proverbs handed down thousands of years ago still apply today. If you disobey the laws, the only thing that is different or unique to you is how exactly your tragedy will unfold but it will. Men destroyed lives of ladies just as ladies destroy the lives of men. The common thread is the man or woman did not open their eyes when choosing a partner. |
ogascomax:With due respect post like this and mindsets like this is why women find it difficult marrying good men or end up with bad men. As a woman, you are responsible for the man you dated that dumped you. Why did you choose that man? Women go from relationship to relationship without understanding why their previous relationship failed. I can tell you something, good women are like gold, nobody will have gold and leave it on the streets, nobody will see gold and not pick it up….ponder on that. Therefore, either the woman is not valuable and has an elevated opinion of herself or she allowed herself to be picked by someone who does not appreciate the value of gold. If it is the latter, the first question that a woman should ask herself is what made me choose such a man and 2 it should never happen to a woman twice. The problem is that most women will always blame everybody else but themselves. In any relationship she walked in with she eyes open, nobody forced any dumped woman to date a bad man. Most women don’t take responsibility for their errors so they repeat. A good woman wil likely never put herself in that situation but if by chance she does, because one of the qualities of a good woman is taking responsibility, she won’t blame anyone but herself and make sure it never happens again. A university classmate who is divorced and I met at a party, we were catching up and she told me she is divorced, she cursed and cursed her ex husband until I asked her where did you go wrong, she was about to attack me for even suggesting she had any part to play in the divorce until I said to her…..you chose to marry him, I accept as you say he was a bad man, what made you marry a bad man? That’s on you! You could tell it never occurred to her and no one had been that blunt with her. The truth, she was never a grade A chick in school, probably a B-. And as you can see even from the brief conversation I shared had always had a bit of an elevated opinion of herself coupled with an attitude problem. I never knew her husband but knowing her I would have been shocked if she married a fade A man. We are what we attract! |
I have said it many times Tinubu’s media team are largely incompetent and I mean all of them! They react to issues instead of being on the front foot, and it is not the 1st time they’ve been guilty of sloppiness. |
ogascomax:The problem is women don’t understand where they went wrong in relationships. The problem I see in many of the women my age who ended up unmarried was the criteria for selecting a man in the 1st place. That strategy may get you a man if you don’t care what kind of man you get. A good man is not a good man if he doesn’t know how to select a good woman. A good man will know if you are not fully committed to him. A woman with multiple male suitors today is likely having sex with more than one of them. This is not the 1950s where you keep men hanging on without sex and the men are ok with it. My advice to women is find a good man and make it impossible for him to think of spending his life with any other woman but you. But you as a woman have to know what a good man is. Most girls don’t and that’s why they end up on the shelf. Most of the time the problem is your definition or criteria for a good man. Just as a good man looks beyond your looks, he looks at your friends, your family, he asks is this a woman I want raising my child, is this a family I want to marry into, are her friends the kind of people I want around my wife, will I have a peaceful home etc etc, a woman must also look beyond the superficial, is he ambitious, is he well grounded, who are his friends, his family, how does he treat people, how do people treat him, what are his values. When you meet a man who ticks the boxes, hold on to him and don’t let go. Men marry wives, women don’t marry husbands. If you don’t make yourself marryable you won’t get a husband or you will have to settle for crumbs. In all of this though, many women are simply unmarryable. So one thing I find is many women can’t answer sincerely the question, am I a good woman, am I the kind of woman a good man will marry. I can tell you for free…..good men don’t marry women like Tasha. |
DonroxyII:Exactly! |
CoronaVirusPro:They’ve always been US puppets, Kissinger made that statement when America took the dollar off the gold standard and basically said to Europe…….F O! |
