luvmijeje: Then you can't disproved it. You can't accuse me of speaking from a place of ignorance when you are speaking from a place of ignorance.
You are accusing them of the same thing you're guilty of. They are different things, I don't know and I'm honest about it, the other party however is like, "I don't know, so, it's God" without any proof. That is what is called Argumentum ad ignorantiam. See? Only one party is making an argument that they can't prove. |

luvmijeje: My questions. It's not God... . No wahala but then who?
If you are saying there is no demonstrative hypothesis... Okayy.. .. .. Then what demonstrable hypothesis do you have that it's something else?
If you are disproving a thing then the onerous is on you to logically disprove it. So, any unknown entity or concept is ascribed to God? That shouldn't be so. We don't know, they've come out to say they don't know, but ID people are pushing a theory with absolutely nothing to back up their claims. If you have a theory, then bring proofs. Nobody knows for now, that doesn't mean that the mystery won't be solved in a hundred years from now and this mystery would be solved. |

UyiIredia: You lost me here. That is not the ID argument. Clearly you are ignorant about ID. Do your due research then I may respond. Go to ID websites and see what they say.
Strawman of argument leads to invalid rebuttals.
ID theory does not argue for a God. People use the theory to argue for God. That's different.
Nonsense from someone ignorant of what he's writing about.
They do. 1) Bad design does not equal no design. Bad designs are still designed by an intelligence. 2) Many claims of bad design fail upon closer analysis. 3) All designs work within constraints and requires trade-offs that may make it appear badly designed. 4) There so much unknown about organisms so some bad design claims are premature. 5) There are lots of sophisticated designs in life. Biomimetics is a field of science that is dedicated to copying desigms from living things. Velcro and airplanes involve designs copied from lifeforms.
Beware of the genetic fallacy. The origin or motive of a claim does not impinge on its validity. It should only be evaluated on its merits.
This explains your ignorance. Wikipedia does not accurately depict ID.
IMO someone who concludes life came about naturally and aas not designed is abusing their intelligence. From all you've written there, it's obvious you know nothing about ID. Go and read about them, then we'll talk. Do you mind if I suggest some materials? |

As a side note, not all random mutations are harmful Sickle cell carrier gene is a beneficial mutation it protects against malaria. Thats foolish. And u know it. Its called Argumentum ad Ignoratum Argument from ignorance Yea, it means that it's a lie. Instead, what I see is the opposite. God heals somebody then 3 days later the same person returns with that same illness. Maybe healing in the medical school that you attended is a 3 day cure, it's not like that for the rest of us. It's not out of ignorance, I live it and breathe it. Unlike you with your delusions. Thats a delusion, @ bolded. Well, you're the one who's deluded. How can a doctor say the brain sleeps for goodness sake? Which medical school taught you that? Yes it was. But as usual, you always argue from ignorance. I am not surprised.
Hehehehe. The shame is on u. Argument wise, The same way the people who believe in God will also tell u that u dont know the difference between fake and original Christians, thats why u always criticize them. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leading-causes-of-death.htmhttp://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs310/en/https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/amp/282929Here are links from 3 different websites listing the leading causes of death. Doctors and Medical errors are missing. I've told you, stop reading Christian apologist and conspiracy theories websites, they are warping your mind. Still doesnt match up to the ones killed by doctors. I speak from statistics. You can only but argue from ignorance. This statistics you're always harping about, where is it? felixomor: Keep quiet abeg. You dont know it can also be said that there are many people doctors gave up on that were healed by God?
In case u dont know, doctors are the third leading causes of death in patients. Not even religion.
I have told u before, Stop bringing insults upon this profession. Like I keep telling you and your brainless cohorts, I've not seen a single case where God healed a patient that doctors have given up on. It's my job to manage patients unlike you that your own medical practice is only in your mind. Doctors are the 3rd leading cause? Because it was captured in the list abi? Doctor like you can't even tell the difference between doctors and medical errors. Shame, really. Well, one day the world will start collecting data to expose all the people religion has killed with their fake faith healing. Oh wait, I got one for you. 100% of the confirmed HIV patients through PCR, Western Blot and Serial CD4 count monitoring have been killed by faith healers. |

But why do powerful churches like Christ charismatic revival, mountain of fire, scoan etc
uses the name JESUS to heal the sick and set the captives free...
why can't they use their name or your name for example?
what type of power is really in this name called JESUS? His original name is not even Jesus to start with. That's the anglicized/funkified version. Have u ever thought of wat these humans would suffer wen these anomalies start showing up. Have u thought of d discrimination. Now wat good do u think cloning would do to human race Like I said earlier, no anomalies, the system is so precise that any mistake wouldn't be compatible with life. No anomaly or alteration of protein synthesis or triggering of any of that sort would happen, I'm telling ya. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Should Cloning Be Legal - Debate On Cloning by CatfishBilly: 9:17pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
zionmade: Point of correction i dnt watch movies. Another point of correction human cloning is never a reality and will hardly come to pass. Not because its not possible but because anything dat can alter a human genetics is a potential deadly weapon. Example is killing cancer using a nanobot programmed to distinguish between a cancerous cell and a human cell, though d technology is proven to be Effective yet it is not yet implemented because it can be d most deadly weapon on earth. A person who can produce a specially engineered human can also programme dat human to enter into a crowd and open fire. Stop looking at christians as enemies to science or ignorant in scientific developments. You are now talking like a sci fi enthusiast. Cloning doesn't generate psychopathic behavior. You are talking about this programming as if it's a computer where you'll write some lines of code to change things. The cloned human is given birth to and then raised to adulthood. The rules of nature vs nurture comes to play. If the human was cloned from a psychopath, of course, it will exhibit psychopathic behavior, if not, it won't. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Cloning Be Legal - Debate On Cloning by CatfishBilly: 9:12pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
zionmade: And d cycle would continue. Once a chain reaction is triggered a correction would trigger another anomaly. Bro in near years to come, anomalies rising from all these alterations of nature would start showing up. A correction won't trigger another anomaly, that's not how it works. Or do you have anything to back up your position? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Cloning Be Legal - Debate On Cloning by CatfishBilly: 8:48pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
akintom: It appears you didn't understand my post. I spoke of research setting, whereby two patients with similar cva in NATURE (type of cva and area of affectation).
Whatever difference in this nature, will definitely be inconsequential, as to be an extraneous factors, in the research outcomes.
Intervention was also coordinated, according to the research design. Okay, I get you now. So, what was the conclusion? Specific genes were responsible for the different outcomes? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Cloning Be Legal - Debate On Cloning by CatfishBilly: 8:25pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
zionmade: This is my own reason why cloning wont be approved. Wen a human is cloned, that is in line with genetic engineering. Now a human is a complex system and one feature of a complex system is "anomalies". Which can hardly be prevented in cloning. A cloned human would be welcomed into d human world with his human rights and priviledges, but wen this anomaly happens which is likely to occur in d person's 2nd generation, we will have a human who d best way to end his miserable state is by mercy killing and dis is quite extreme. So in short am saying dat cloning will create a painful anomaly which can only be stopped by killing d specie Abnormal genes could theoretically be removed and normal ones added in it's place It is already being done with 3 person babies and gene therapy, why not with cloning? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Cloning Be Legal - Debate On Cloning by CatfishBilly: 8:21pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
akintom: May be i should use research in gene therapy. Research into why two different patients, with similar nature of cva and other vitals, responded differently to the same line of management, and genetic difference was implicated in the treatment outcome.
I'm of the thinking that, both clients can be cloned and studied for the purpose of understanding a less risky genetic tampering. No two CVAs are exactly alike. There'll be different percentage of blood vessel occlusion, the surface area of brain tissue involved, the amount of neurons involved, how quick resuscitative measures were started, how soon physiotherapy was started and the patients' will to recover. Some peculiarities in genes though might affect how some individuals metabolize drugs or how quickly the damaged neurons regenerate. |
