They are done with that terminal for now the finishing would have been possible if obiano still has more time but for now let's forget it. The most painful part is the landscaping along the terminal building and car park, what of covering of the drains, I would have preferred they install a ceiling on that terminal or at least paint the roofing but all na war, I've said it here before anything worth doing is worth doing well the airport finishing is not satisfactory period!

When you look at the latest video from awka millennium City and look at there estate plan below you will notice they are working with exactly everything on the plan they have a lot of recreation parks too unlike many estates in Nigeria today where they only care about money they just clear the land and people will start building houses and digging boreholes here and there no parks and other amenities

I think going by when they started work on the estate they are very fast, the mou was signed around June/July 2019 they moved to site in October 2019 despite covid 19 they've mapped out all the roads and sand filled all of them now they are doing interlocking, they want to plan the estate before construction of homes, you know one thing about our people they are always impatient

Gov Obiano really scored F9 in media. I wonder why he doesnt care about media optics. If some Governors did what he did in Anambra by now the entire country would be begging the governor to be president. Look at what media did to Umahi despite performing far less than Obiano.

I think appointing an Enugu person as media aide in Anambra is the biggest mistake of Obiano administration. It's not yet late, he can use his remaining months to fire and rejig his media team

When I saw that article on punch newspaper I knew that must be from obienyem and co. Imagine saying the airport was a white elephant project obiano scored ZERO on media and publicity a lot of people do not know obiano built a lot of bridges in omambala area Obiano built about three long bridges in aguleri alone, did two long bridges in anam (nzam and iyiora) 180 meters and 150 meters respectively plus Umueje, nteje and others. Go to Enugwu ukwu and see the very big general hospital almost completed he did there. In education a lot of people do not know he gave bus to almost all the schools in the state, new school hostels for technical colleges in the state the man tried na media be the problem

I quite agree with you that more of this type of development should be replicated in other parts of the state. However I disagree with you over the size. The original size of AMC has been altered and more hectares of land added to the original plan, making it almost a full city scale.

The size of Awka Millennium city is large enough to transform not just Anambra as a whole but also the entire southeast real estate sector.

I think they were given 100 hecters of land for the whole project which is small, unless maybe they will expand to phase II and add additional land to the project

Don't mind the Fg they have denied the SE an international airport for many years, now anambra state Government have built the airport they are trying everything possible to frustrate it

2. Revitalize the Anambra Roads Maintenance Agency (ARMA) to begin repairing all internal roads in the major urban centers with concrete.
3. Employ professional Engineers to lead the road ARMA in each major urban center where they are rebuilding the roads and drainages.

The concrete roads system using direct labor has been successfully used by poorer states to build cheap durable roads that have continued to last to date. Only very challenging intrastate roads should be awarded to contractors with relevant experience to do because of the engineering challenge and bridges required on such roads.

This method also improves the skillset of many youths who gain vital experience in roads construction and design which they can utilize in helping their communities build their own durable roads through communal effort and without the use of expensive roads construction companies.

I agree totally with the issue of concrete roads Obiano missed out big time. That's one place I commend Ebonyi state governor, he saved a lot of money doing concrete roads through direct labour. I think soludo should utilize it, what we needed most now is massive construction of dual carriage roads in our urban cities.

I think they should put more light inside the terminal building it looks dark inside

However its good to see you now comparing Anambra to USA.. Before Obiano no one would ever believe Anambra would ever construct an International Airport, 10000 seater conference center and mini stadium within 8 years of recession and COVID, just after an admnistration that couldn't finish common shopping malls..

my happiness is that Obiano is completing the airport project almost one year to his departure after its completion he still has time to do other projects if he wishes
