I just saw a product in the market
Mobil 2000 5w30
Its semi synthetic and the distributor is selling at a retail price of #5000
He claims the demand is growing because Mobil 1 is too expensive.
Does anyone know about this Mobil product in Nigeria.
It hasn't been discussed on NL.

Experience has taught me that most services providers on Nairaland care little about their reputation. It is bad and may continue to be so even in the near future.

MY EXPERIENCE


Some months ago, I contacted someone (name withheld but MOST be disclosed later) to supply me LONG SPAN ROOFING SHEETS of 0.45MM. The sheets were supplied as agreed.

His staffs also roofed the house as agreed. I was happy and TAUGHT that Nairaland has helped to cut off GREEDY ALUMINUM COMPANIES.

Little did I know that it was a case of penny wise pound foolish.

Within ONE MONTH of the roofing of the house, I discovered that several places were leaking water. I had to engage someone to seal the holes. It turns out to be a case of one week one trouble.

I promptly confronted the service provider to express my dissatisfaction with the services he rendered. He promised to visit the site to assess the extent of the leakage and proffer solution. I NEVER held from him till date

This led me to investigate the MM of the sheets to determine if the actual MM was supplied. It was a FRAUD. The sheets supplied were below .45MM agreed to.

As at today, I have taken steps to seal every nail on the roofing sheets and equally seal ever holes. Experts have however told me that as time goes on the sheets will give way. It is a disaster waiting to happen.

Interestingly, the service provider has a thread that has been active for more than 5 years...He is a man of reputation you may say.


I thought of going to the thread to pour out my lamentation but I did not. However, I have removed my feedback on the services he rendered to me from the thread.

My people, MOST of them are looking for ways to cut corners and enrich themselves at your detriment. SHINE YOUR EYE

I will post the piteous state of the house that was roofed not more than 6 months ago.

It is a disaster. I will add it to my archives as one of my mistakes in my life journey.

There is a guy on nairaland you can try for an engine rebuild, id is Trygo... Another person you can try is radautoworks. 300k+ no be small money. Best wishes.

Seemed to have been well maintained during inspection.
Maybe the the owner knew something we didnt know. But the can wasn't advertised for sale, we triggered it.
No sign or sound prior to the burst.
Car had been doing fine all along.

I dont even want an engine rebuild
Was only considering a bottom block change but the assurances are very limited.

My 2009/corolla just had its back end of the engine block ruptured by a rod from the piston.
It happened when I was driving within the city.
All oil was drained out.
My mechanic said it might require only half of the engine (model no is ZRE1....)

What do you think and what cost outlay should I be preparing for?

After scanning a B1081 code came up on a corolla I looked at to buy..
The code has something to do with front airbag. Guess it had an impact or airbag is having issues.
I am worried the airbag might not deploy on impact as google autos suggest.

The car ticks good on all other points but this.

Is it sufficient enough to bone the car?or such codes can be easily fixed anywhere?

This is a small house from the number of windows I counted on one side. A four bedroom duplex can be built for 18 million to 100% complete stage. If you check my previous posts you will find out I have been giving the cheapest quotations on this thread. My problem is with that dude who said he built his house to roofing stage with 850k land inclusive

I really still dont understand how he achieved that.
But my post is as regards the discuss on duplex and yes this is a 10m by 11m building excluding the sitout.
Mine was built from a cost effective POV without compromising standard.
Depending on my taste, the remainder finishes of the house itself should gulp me btw 4 to 6m more

I want to share this idea with everyone and I don't think I have ever seen it before on NL.

It's filling the embedded aluminum bars of the casement with rise granite concrete (sometimes with a 8mm rod inside).

The idea was generated when an argument ensued that using 12mm or 16mm rods welded at the tops (and bottom) has made it easy for thieves to cut through the aluminum pipe and the rods,

The initial idea was not to fix the rods but let them freely move which makes it difficult to cut.

But with a concrete filled aluminum burglary bars, the cutter blade for metal cannot cut through concrete without blunting it.

But remember to have one or two safety-decor windows without concrete for emergencies.
