and which confed cup are you talking about? the one the team was only able to beat Tahiti but conceded? the one the likes of Uruguay and Spain taught us footballing lessons by outsmarting keshi tactically? are we celebrating mikel's performance at the confed cup or mourning the teams dismal performance? imagine we went a goal ahead against Uruguay but lost, keshi played an attacking style of football against a Spanish team that was world champions then and got battered seriously . taking lowly Togo was a milestone he achieved that crashed on him because of his dubious ways that almost destroyed the harmony of the team before he was axed if not i see no reason a football federation will sack a coach who qualified their team to its first ever world cup. i never said we were outplayed against the CIV but was the team fortune smiled on by emerging victorious. mikel and onazi played the game of their lives that faithful day and the same goes to omeruo and oboabona. its high time you accept the fact that rohr is doing something great with this young team and pray for them to have a successful outing in Russia than hoping he fails so that you and your likes will be screaming on high heavens for him to be relieved of his duties

oga even if rohr dont make it out of the group he is miles ahead of keshi. keshi is the worst and biggest fraud that happened to nigerian football. during his stint with the team he nearly turned the team into a personal business and an avenue to market mediocre players to obscure leagues in europe. he didnt win the afcon because of his tactical acumen but out of luck and determination of the players who believed they can go all the way after eliminating the tournaments favorites CIV. rohr took the eagles job when all hope were lost, got talented and determined young players, brought the best from mikel by giving him the leadership role in the team and a sense of belonging and made the young team believe they can qualify from a group that had 4 afcon winners. gernot rohr is a blessing to nigerian football

Haha!! Ol' boy, that your assessment na wao. You make it sounds as if Nigeria is in the same group as in 2014. Give Rohr a group comprising of Iran, Bosnia, and Argentina and see if he wouldn't qualify with ease. There's no way you can compare Iran with Iceland or compare Bosnia with Croatia. Bottom line, we're in a much tougher group this time around.

Oh please! Keshi who is so lazy that he barely takes time to train his team. I watched Keshi's pre-world cup preparations in Philadelphia and it was a joke. I could do better a joke. After what I saw, I told my friends that our team would lack fitness in Brazil ... and boy, did that show

Comparing Keshi with Rohr is like comparing sleep to death.

and that is why I keep on hammering that without Mikel Rohr does not have a team. If it could be possible to combine Keshi's tactical prowess and Rohr's managerial skills then we would have gotten to the semifinal of that 2014 world cup easily. Let's look at what Rohr brings though

mikel being deployed as a number 10 by rohr is because of the team's lack of a creative midfielder. if mikel is a super 10 why didn't any of chelsea's coaches risk him in that position during his stint with the londoners? in his present club in china does he play as a 10 often? lets not allow sentiment cloud our sense of reasoning. he is loved by all but his talent and experience will be better utilized if he is deployed as a central midfielder

We have not even won any penalty.
