PoliticsRe: The Injustice And Disgrace Going On In Port Harcourt by cfours: 10:26pm On Mar 17, 2013
omonnakoda: I will ignore what you said previously .The reality is you guys are too boastful and think everyone else is a learner it does not make you any friends. There are so many aspects of Nigeria's economy and different people do what comes naturally to them. I have studied different traders and in my Mind the Hausas from Kano and a small tribe of traders from Offa are the best and most successful i have come across over many years, naturally the Ibo man will dispute this and say its because they were in power. A lot of people say Ibo trader,Ibo trader they are not all the same. They have different traits depending on where they come from.
Truth is for many years durring the oil boom, gold ,Kolanuts cotton and groundnuts were the most profitable commodities for these guys as well as foreign exchange and and even to this day palm oil. I do not know the figure but kolanut business in Nigeria is one of the best kept secrets worth many bilions

They(Kano traders) really are exceptional merchants comparable even to Gujarats and I have seen traders in my life. The main flaw with many Ibo traders is they think nothing of selling fake/dangerous products, a very bad trait indeed. The other thing is the Ibo trader is very competitive and often they bring each other down in ways I won't discuss here.
I agree. igbos like to claim "trader" identity. but northerners are actually superior traders. yet they are not boastful.
there was a thread on this website a while ago comparing GDP/ contribution for all 36 states, and northern states income comes primarily from trade they really took a large weight for trading. SE of course mostly came from oil. SW agriculture, industry and big business of course.
just because you are running some petty shack or car part store in your little neighborhood doesn't make you a heavy weight or a superior contributor to the economy. not especially when 50% of what you're selling is faulty or fake and just a way to scam unsuspecting people.
I've even met many non-nigerians who meet me and the first thing they say is that they were conned by some nigerian "trader" selling fake products. and then I ask for the name and guess what tribe the name comes from? yeah!! they do this outside of nigeria too which gives us a bad reputation.

confusion247: I am having a severe diarrhea of the mouth
maybe you need to lay off the conspiracy theories then all will be well with you. if you aren't satisfied, move back to the east where there is no injustice.useless parasite.
CelebritiesRe: Larry Koldsweat Prefers To Be A Yoruba In Another Life by cfours: 9:50pm On Mar 17, 2013
^ Lol that's a good point. grin
and when we think about it, igbos are converting to yorubas by the numbers in SW. mostly through intermarriage because as we all know, those offspring will mostly claim their yoruba heritage.

asha 80: they should have standby lawyers for this kind of scenario.so the southeast gov should pay lawyers to help these guys?from which purse?were they the ones that told these traders to go their to trade?there are many issues these se governors have to settle in the states they govern for christsake.
LOL @ SE govs hiring lawyers for traders to fight PH grin
I love how igbos feel like they are entitled to rights in other parts of Nigeria that they will not dare claim in their own region.
Its not as if fires never happen in the SE. just that igbos love to complain only when things happen to them outside SE.
I'm sure PH will probably start finding ways to get rid of the igbos if such lawsuits ever occur anyway. nobody wants to welcome liabilities with open arms. In real life they don't make mouth like this. I wonder what it is about nairaland where all the igbos have turned themselves into kings. Even the indigenes are not sharing any of the right these igbo folks are claiming they are entitled to.
PoliticsRe: The Injustice And Disgrace Going On In Port Harcourt by cfours: 9:17pm On Mar 17, 2013
I'm yoruba and that was meant to be a sarcastic reply.
ie. they should move all their shops back to the east then and wait for us to come and patronize them in their aba and onitsha markets grin

I wonder what happens when there is a fire in onitsha. nobody says anything. but once it happens in lagos or PH or any non-igbo territory, they all claim it to be a conspiracy and look for ways to exhort as much as they can from their host state govts. what parasites.
even the indigenes who are affected (even more so affected) are not complaining as loud as these nomads.
PoliticsRe: The Injustice And Disgrace Going On In Port Harcourt by cfours: 9:06pm On Mar 17, 2013
^ yea I agree that the igbo traders should move back to aba and onitsha. let the PH folks travel to igboland for goods. isn't that how major cities form and develop?
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by cfours: 8:57pm On Mar 17, 2013
trust the igbos to come on here to troll.

@OP, I wholeheartedly agree. But some like to take for granted our welcoming nature. Lets assume we were northerners, won't we have bombed the hell out of these parasitical "strangers"?
PoliticsRe: The Injustice And Disgrace Going On In Port Harcourt by cfours: 8:48pm On Mar 17, 2013
krendo: It is time to stop treating the Igbos as immigrants in any part of Nigeria, No Nigerian is an immigrant in any part of Nigeria. That at least is the position of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Shut up!! last time I checked, the yorubas and hausas in igboland were also complaining of the mistreatment they face in the hands of igbos. Infact, most don't go to the east because of the very hostile treatment they face from the igbos.
so you really have no right to complain when other tribes are welcoming you with open arms. what else do you want? to be treated like a king? Why do you think you deserve a better treatment than the indigenes themselves?
Useless parasite!

tell me about it.
"superior beings" throwing tantrum and fits over the clearing of illegal stuctures on sidewalks and streets.

Ikengawo: the paradox of Nigeria is that Igbos are the only ones that are actively participating in the oneness of Nigeria (living, developing, working and schooling in all regions, etc), but are treated as if they're the opposite). I'm not too concerned because Igbos always find a way to work themselves to the top regardless of the stones thrown at them. Instead of weeding out the laziness in their character, lazy people will always try to sabotage the hard worker.
what kind of "oneness" are you talking about?
self delusion, illusion of grandeur is a disease. seek medical treatment ASAP.
The traders might have even set the fire on the shops, for all we know, so that they can force FG to build new shops for them. very conniving set of people.
PoliticsRe: Let's Have Your Complaints, Suggestions & Enquiries Here by cfours: 8:30pm On Mar 17, 2013
I wonder what kind of hell will fall on nairaland if a thread made the front page that read "Igbos are Ungrateful People"
yet these stupid mods (esp Afam) see no problem putting up a "yoruba are ungrateful people" thread on frontpage. especially seeing that Globe (a renouned tribalist) recommended it.

Let us use our common sense please. I'm starting to feel that mods are the ones fanning ethnic tribalism on this site. esp as they kowtow to the biafra cabal on NL.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Are Ungrateful To Obasanjo - Ahmadu Ali by cfours: 8:23pm On Mar 17, 2013
Mr. Globe:
i am having a severe diarrhea of the mouth
all u need to do is shut up.
Just thank your lucky starts Afam is the mod because i'm sure all these anti-yoruba threads on front page won't be possible without the biafra cabal.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Are Ungrateful To Obasanjo - Ahmadu Ali by cfours: 7:40pm On Mar 17, 2013
Why is this on the front page? the work of Afam4ver and the biafra cabal i'm sure.
anyways, Ali and his "oga at the top" (Obasanjo) can go to hell. Yorubas are not fools. we follow whoever we decide is right for us cool we aren't political pawns and we will never be.
unlike the igbos who fill follow a "leader" even to their graves rotfl

ndu_chucks: Let me simply state here that "State of Origin" should be abolished in Nigeria by the upcoming constitutional amendment. Once you are resident in a place and you perform your civic responsibilities for a period, there’s no reason why you shouldn't benefit, provided of course you don’t claim dual residency.

Now, let me go and read the posts of this thread from the beginning.
Parasite like you.
Imagie if "country of origin" was abolished in the world. will places like US and UK still exist? won't immigrants just flock there and mess the place up and turn it into a 3rd world country? like the case of a millionaire who people love but when he love people back too much, he loses all his wealth and people turn to despise him.
ex. igbos like to wish they owned lagos. but the fact is that lagos will no longer be lagos if that happened. What you should be aiming for is developing a city in your own region to rival lagos. The northerners tried it with Abuja but it didn't work perfectly because it's not money or buildings that make lagos. it's the very receptive nature of the people and character!! you can never replicate that. But Abuja has its own positive characters too hence it is also a major city. I'm pretty sure there can never be a major city in the east because the easterners are just have a hostile nature in general and when your city is made up of only your own people with the exclusion of others, then how can it be a major city?

so please no need to bee envious. just change your egoistical nature and things will turn around for you. start by making your region more friendly to outsiders/ tourists etc. but considering the nature of igbos, that will never happen. even on nairaland,a general nigerian forum, they create a segregated/exclusive enclave for themselves out of insecurity. mtcheweww
like the psychologists like to say, "an excessive outward display of superiority is a strong indicator of internal inferiority complex"
Onlytruth, take note!

IGBO-SON:
Let him 'try'......what am i even saying sef undecided!; let him 'dream' of seeking to become Governor, that's when he will know how daft he is!

He thinks he's in the US or UK!
Actually a lot of yoruba people will vote him in if he were a politician+ qualified. He displays a love for Lagos. He is a true Lagosian.
unlike the biafra trolls here who will be first to disparage ad condemn lagos. yet they want to govern it. Why are you so obsessed with governing a state you hate so much?and why do you think people will open their eyes and let you rule when they know you have nothing but evil feelings towards them?

Larry Koldsweat is an exception.
PoliticsRe: Appointments In Aviation Are Better Under Oduah - Bitrus Agba by cfours: 2:43am On Mar 16, 2013
dolphinife: You people are so naïve and lack paucity of informations concerning aviation sector. Am an aviation expert of this country. The North dominates every sector of aviation in Nigeria, followed by the south east and the yorubas. The Yorubas are just the minute educated ones who were sponsored by the Tafawa Balewa regime to study abroad. Immediately Jonathan became president, he removed Engr. Oduselu as AIB director and put an hausa man there. He also remove a niger delta man as FAAN MD and put george Uriesi. Systematically, Stella Oduah, being the GF to Jonathan recommended the total removal of some tribes so dat her tribe of niger delta can have edge in terms of position.
The same Oduah forced the airlines to buy adulterated Jet A1 fuel which caused the Ana plane crash, but people will never talk. The same Patience Jonathan who in her power, never allow the dana plane to land just because she wanted to take off which was the immediate cause of the accident.
In essence, to be fair and honest, aviation wise in this country, there is no other persons or group of persons dat can stand the level of these people...Engrs. Obadofin, Demuren, oduselu, Capt. Dele Ore, Aekerele, and Edward Boyo.
Professionally, technically, and academically, there is no region in Nigeria dats more endowed dan the south west. The records are there
It's more like tribalism than naivety.
thanks for your input, jare.
