recoome:
where was bakare when the towns of odi, zakibiam and choba were invaded and lives and properties were lost by mesengers of obj?, where was bakare when thousands of nigerians died or were dying in the unceasing ethno religious conflict[as a man of GOD, expected to appreciate d values of peace and tranquility of human life] why did he not protest and mobilize to save Nigeria and nigerians?, where was he when the 2003 and 2007 general elections held in Nigeria was rigged in favour of political miscreants by obasanjo who manipulated Nigerians to go for third term? ask urselves
How does this fit into the topic?

I know marvix and friends would show up here with their misguided spirituality.
Why on earth shouldnt a Pastor comment on the affairs of his country? This doesnt mean he is actively involved in Politics. The only reason other pastors have refrained from speaking publicly on this kind of subject is because of the fear of their statements turning out to be a misfire in future. In fact, all pastors who have continued to keep silent have actually turned their backs to the nation as it rots away. The bible says evil prevails when good men do nothing.

You ppl should go and search the scriptures properly, God always sent the prophets to confront or speak on the acts of the rulers. Nawa o.

When Naija good tomorrow, una go com tell us say na una dey pray for corner.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria: Is There Any Reason For Hope? by CGKing(op): 12:22am On Mar 24, 2010
You are the idiot, idiiot, i never said there wasnt any reason, I asked a queston. Hope is becoming hard these days. One man who may have a lot to offer this country sadly cant do anything alone. So if u dont understand exactly where im coming from, just say nothing, Mr spirtual intelect.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria: Is There Any Reason For Hope? by CGKing(op): 12:03am On Mar 24, 2010
It ll be hard to engage u in any sensible discussion because you seem to be some daft 10 yr old. When you come to a discussion forum like this, ngage ppl with the intent to find out things you may hav not tot of instead exerting yourself over simple thoughts.

There is nothing intelectual about what uv said here so far, u simply pointed out ur observation and your spirituality is obviously misguided.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria: Is There Any Reason For Hope? by CGKing(op): 10:42pm On Mar 22, 2010
marvix:
Why not? There is hope and Nigeria is not a failed state. Some failed states even enjoy power 24/7 and having power does deliver u from being failed,
Are you talking about the same nigeria or did u just wake up from a long sleep? Be realistic

at lest we still hav a govt in place in charge of everything within the boundary
,
You have a govt in charge of what within what?

so don't let your probs weigh u down
i never said i had problems, you are not paying attention. What could wiegh folks are challenges of inconsistent power supply, fuel hike and constantly recurring scarcity, bad roads, traffic situations, , plus the fact that its not getting better. Nigerians are getting totally fed up and the country seems to be edging towards a major conflict with each incidence.

I hav sin d light @ d end of d tunnel u just look up.
Which light did you see?

Dolemite:
Everything looks terrible when you concerntrate on the negatives of a country, every contry has positives and negatives, take America for example; said to be only one terrorist attack away from an economic meltdown, level of crime is extremely high - especially murder, number of gangs are plenty, a country where you're judged on the color of your skin, crappy healthcare service, but it's a great country right?

Nigeria maybe a failed state, but we always find a way of getting through it as a people together, just don't dwell on the negatives.
Gimme one positive to dwell on.

Well, in a village of the blind, the one eyed beggar is King. I think they are not the best yet cos they still have a couple of issues to deal with.

1. Crowd, crowd, crowd!!! Crowd at the ATMs, in the banking hall, they have to do something about this, its simply annoying.

2. Respond quickly to customer requests. For 3 months, iv been begging these guys to activate my ATM card.

3. Spread. Borrow a leaf from UBA. Make your ATMs and your branches available.

If these three are fixed, then they ll be the best bank. For now, they are just the one eyed general.

PoliticsNigeria: Is There Any Reason For Hope? by CGKing(op): 12:59am On Mar 14, 2010
Dont yell at what am about say, its just a thought that has been on my mind since the beginning of the year.

It seems our country is deteriorating pretty fast and each new day brings one new nonsense to threaten ones hopes. At this time of world history there is no constant power supply, too many fuel issues, no good security, people are fired at anytime, trouble in the banking sector, constant assasinations, incompetent police, a misdirected army, rumours of coup, bad roads, sick presidency,, and it keeps getting worse. Nothing is working in this country. To top it all up, Nigeria has been added to the US terror watch list and is listed as a failed state. Still yet it looks like those in the realms of affairs are not ready to wake up. All the above can be summarised to this: Nigeria is a failed state which means the nation is at the brink of collapse and that will lead to war.

My question is this: Do you think this country will ever turn around? Is there anything we can hold on to as a reason to hope? Im trying to invest in a new opportunity but it seems a thought is telling me to commit my resources to relocating my family out of this country. Is this a wise thought, or am I just scared for nothing?

just tell me why i should keep staying with a girl i no longer feel anything for.
if it is right for a girl to dump a guy and go with a richer guy, why are my not allowed to do same and go with someone i'll be happy with?plz give me a break on any talks of 'try and fix the problem b/w both of you'.
Who is decieving who. You hav agreed already that its not right yet you want to make it right by repeating or reciprocating it. This same attitude is what is running Nigeria down. Im sure if u were in govt embezzlement wont stop at your point becos afterall somebody before you did it.

Besides y should one innocent lady pay for something u did not even experience. You just heard it happens. Know that ladies and guys are not on the same level.

Finally your sudden unhappiness with the lady is childish. Just listen to urself
