SnazzyBaba: Based on your grade. You should able to. Just apply for admissions in your course of choice and hope for the best. Worse case, you will get 50% scholarship. Scholarship application is activated when you apply for admission. OK. Tnks for Dat. U v really gingered me. I would v applied for admission before they recently imposed tuition but due to some issues I don't understand, inability to secure a job to pay application fee, or spiritual forces. Don't just know. But with this bow, must surely throw in app dis yr by his grace. By 50%,you mean only tuition waiver ba? |

Bandeco: There's no way you can avoid the funding requirements. Even if you gain admission without providing proof of funding, you CANNOT avoid it when applying for a study permit. Norwegian directorate of immigration will not approve your application if you don't show proof of transfer of NOK103950 into a Norwegian bank account.
So don't get excited because someone gain admission without bank statement. OK.now I get d real gee.one can apply for admission without d bank details and I'll be granted admission .its clear to me now.some personal issues made me asked about D's angle.now, does application fee applies and aw much if pls? |

Bandeco: You are trolling.. I could remember you on this thread since last year, u claim to make almost 1st class , asking if scholarship are available. I vividly remember.
I wonder why you are still asking these type of questions like someone who just registered on nairaland. Just wondering- especially someone that claim to make a fantastic result.
Get real and start doing research if you haven't. yes.its me .still trolling due to some reasons. d fact is DAT am not clear about d application fee.besides, I v done some research on d schools and courses DAT suites me and found some.but someone is saying here he did not provide financial proof at d time of applying yet he was admitted.that's y I asked to be sure as DAT was wat prevented me from applying last year.please clarify on DAT.sorry for my repeated questions. |

I was aware of the requirement but assumed there was or would be a way to circumvent it.. apparently I was wrong. you mean at d initial phase of applying for admission, you did not provide any bank details containing d 103000 kronor? just want to know if one can apply for admission without that. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Including CGPA In Curriculum Vitae Or Resume, Necessary Or Unnecessary? by chaiks: 10:14pm On Mar 26, 2017 |
kaycodes: Like I said on the other thread, don't let anyone deceive you. if you're a RECENT graduate with a STELLAR CGPA please include it. You have more to lose by not including it than if you do.
Any recruiter that gets pissed because you did, isn't someone you want to work with in the first place. It is no longer necessary when you have gained experience. I know the opportunity I lost because I didn't have such so no one should come here and talk what they have no idea about.
If I want to recruit for a role and I am down to about three strong candidates with the same skill set, I'll be naturally biased towards the one with a stellar CGPA. Once a recruiter is biased in his mind, it translates to a hiring decision in favor of who he likes.
Even in roles that require hard skills e.g IT, please still leave the CGPA there as long as you're a fresh graduate with stellar academic performance.
After all the skills evaluation they may still need a differentiating factor. At the end of the day, like someone said you have nothing to lose. You will lose more by not including it than by including it.
Okay, I have started sounding like a broken record so I'll stop good one.with your input,I am now confident to put my 4.49 cgpa in my CV.been feeling it might be a turn off ,but now,I know its cool to add it. |

dafemlions: Hello Chaiks, Honestly I am not that familiar with Europe. All I know about Europe is that they do have scholarships like DAAD and ERASMUS MUNDUS Scholarship which you may want to read more about. In Germany, their Universities are free but you need to take care of your living expenses yourself. I do not know if they do allow student to do menial jobs in Germany so that they can take care of their living expenses through that. As I have earlier said, I don't know much about Europe but you can always get some more information on google.

Bandeco: Sorry you can not. In addition to your o-level you need atleast 100 level University education.
You can look at neighboring Sweden. With just waec you can get admission. But know that Sweden charges TUITION FEES. The least you get is SEK90k~3.1million per year.
Canada too offers BSc admission for Nigerian waec holders. Tuition also applies hello bandeco.pls can Sweden still waive tuition for masters even due they v imposed tuition payment? |

Educational Services › Re: Studying In US And Canada Faq's by chaiks: 3:15pm On Mar 20, 2017 |
dafemlions: Hello, To be candid with you, your chances in getting to Canada without GRE is very slim and I will tell you why. Over the years, there are many students from China and Indian studying in North America (USA and Canada). As a result, they have an established record in virtually all the programs/department that an average Chinese or Indian will do well when admitted. However, relative to China and India, Nigerian students are few in North America. I want you to also note that there are many Chinese and Indian students with your kind of mindset that do not want to do the GRE. As a result, they will also be competing with you for the same spot where you are applying. So when the admission committee see all these applications, with comparable academic record, they will certainly be willing to admit Chinese and Indian students before looking at your application at all. However, when you do the GRE, it gives all applicants the same chance of being admitted. This is why I do encourage Nigerians to take the GRE. If you are willing to do the GRE, you can send an email to gre.nigeria@yahoo.com and the preparatory materials can be shared with you via the dropbox. In addition to this, USA schools have more funding (Scholarships) relative to their Canadian School counterparts.
I hops this helps.
Regards tanks for your insightful response.I I'll certainly consider the GRE well.but please wat chances do you see in Europe?just trying to weigh different options. |
