@okezie, tnks for ur reply. I v checked and I see living are costlier in those cities. But I expect that things one can do should be available there with commensurate pay if I am right. Concerning d admission requirements, I I'll check further. Presently only with my references, sop, transcript of 4.49 GPA, a letter from my school showing that I was taught in English. |
Hello my gud people of this thread. I v been reading your contributions and I am motivated the more in my quest to move out of Nigeria. The situation in Nigeria now is beyond wat prayers alone can solve but a proactive action. Imagine me finishing NYSC and still can't secure a job since last year July till now because I don't have people there. Now, I discovered from nairaland that Germany offers free tuition for masters. But I don't know how to Kickstart the process to come there through educational means. I know situation might not be rosy as expected, but I believe if I can come to Germany, any condition I I'll find myself there I'll be better than my entire life in Nigeria since. Please how easily it it for one to get something doing there after studies with a degree in international relations? Is it easy for one to enroll for phd in Switzerland after masters in Germany? which area in Germany should I be considering for my course and prospects of finding something doing no matter how little to support life. I v checked schools offering international relations and found uni Stuttgart, uni Hamburg, Frei university of Berlin, Humboldt university, Marburg university. Which do you think I'll be suitable for me? I really need your responses brothers |
The person who says that the gmd reports to the chairman, do you think we are fools? The gmd is the major actor in the oil sector and must be a technocrat for the interest of Nigerians. Now for buhari to remove an appointee, there must be a reason. Now tell me, is that kachichukwu is inefficient or wat? Can someone explain y. Maybe I I'll understand well |
I appreciate the work of wonderful people of this thread. Please I want to know if it's possible for me to get a good masters funding in Canada or Switzerland searched for finish schools but was told tuition now applies is it true? Please anyone in Finland knows if uni Helsinki does political science or international relations? Please are there good places you guys can advice me to look for funding. I am interested in international relations. With a GPA of 4.49 and presently am preparing for ielts. Thank you. |
Nonsense. Who cares who buhari breaks fast with? Whether he is in good terms with the senators or not, that wouldn't stop them from discharging their duties. People have political future to further. If pmb is a dynamic leader in an age of globalization, he should have moved on with everyone. Nobody. I repeat, nobody is clean in the two parties. I have like 55% of trust in him because of the anti corruption mantra I read about him during the period of 1984.but since he has decided to fight corruption selectively, I don't trust him anymore. Is this wat we I'll be witnessing till 2019. The youths need to refine themselves and start taking up top positions in government. Nawa for this country. |
Hello guys in d house. Kudos to u all. I v been searching for schools in Canada that offer my course for postgraduate studies. Now I v found some- McGill, ubc, university of dalhousie, university of Alberta, university of Vancouver. My field is international relations. Now my question is which among them do I stand a chance of obtaining a full scholarship or full tuition waiver? I see my course does not require gre. But presently am preparing for ielts and putting finishing touches on my sop. |
Am not supporting corruption anyway. I know all of them are corrupt in one way or the other. But in the case of saraki and Ike ekweremadu, I don't see any justification for their resignation. They should be allowed to defend themselves in the court. Am yet to see the evidence AGF has or the particular areas of the standing order that have been tampered with. Pressuring saraki to resign citing Cameron's case makes no meaning. If they resign, we I'll now have a trend where any political scapegoat I'll be accused and then forced to resign citing examples from the outside world . Let them defend themselves and at the end, we see the outcome. Judiciary we know is the last hope of common man. |
@7aalexander, please which University are you applying to? Did you legalize any document and did you pay application fee? Wat about English exam and when I'll d application end? I'll love to apply alongside. |
Nonsense |
I wish the government should v made the allocation in such a Way that the community I'll benefit. But the issue is, if the community can service and maintain the oil blocs if allocated to them. |
Though I support the fight against corruption and acknowledge corruption in the nation's military structure during the last administration, there are elements of truth in this one. Boko haram! The fact is that those who frustrated the fight out of nebulous political reasons are our northern brothers who should v helped forestall the menace. In our country now, almost all our former military leaders are northerners. They should have brought their military experience to bear in curbing this at least for the sake of our brothers that died in it(including the terrorists and the terrorized) but may be they wanted someone to fail. How many of us know the role past presidents of USA are still playing in America today especially cold and post-cold war US leaders? Everything about this country is selfishness. Those who opposed ihejirika should tell us if there is a different strategy employed by this current regime in fighting bh? Efforts are being made to procure arms to still fight and kill them or is the federal government liasing with them? This country is not United in any way, rather it is currently being more divisive. |
Kposas for bosses in the house. I studied history and international studies. But I feel a masters degree in international relations abroad with foreign language skills I'll open varying doors. It seems graduates of the course here in Nigeria are not all that valued. Now my question is, if one decide to master in the course in say Germany, wats d likelihood that the person I'll get employed in Germany? Are there German cities where this course is preferable in terms of employment? Can one do short certification courses like marketing, project management, hospitality, airport ticketing and d likes to boost chances? Apart from Germany, wats it like to study the course in places like Sweden and Norway? Can one gain like Commonwealth scholarship for the course or any other? your guide is highly needed please bosses. |
Thanks @crudedude. Am a friend to Google already. I just needed additional info from bosses to know the way forward. I appreciate a lot . |
United nation organization or any import and export company in Denmark |
This thread is an educative one. Wish I found it earlier on. I studied history and international studies and I v completed my NYSC. Please are there local NGOs in anambra or any rural Africa where I can intern even if they pay peanut or nothing? i learnt volunteering can upgrade ones chances of getting a masters scholarship abroad. Please forumites, help me you know any ngo willing to accept me for intern. I can volunteer in areas like environmental issues, gender and sustainable development, hiv/aids, poverty eradication, fundraising, or any community development related field. |
We I'll give you our full support. Only progressives like you is wat the state needs not all these stooge and conservatives masquerading themselves as leaders. |
God I'll bless everyone that contributed to this thread. I am a graduate of international studies and history from and after my NYSC, I discovered the Labour mkt is somehow for people that read this course. Now I have come to see that jetting out of naija for further studies and learning a foreign language as well as having international exposure I'll be ideal. I plan to pursue a career in international politics or diplomatic world. But my headache now is that I don't know how to go about it as my people cannot afford to sponsor me. Please I need your ideas bf frustration I'll kill person here oo. |
Wow. This is good. These are the countries am looking forward to for MSc. But wat of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, UK, brunei, South Korea, and Japan? I normally think positive of these places though. |
@emex4gman, I believe you can tie down admission for direct masters in many unis overseas. I graduated in same uni with you. But in a different dept(history and international relations,). Now gurus in the house, I am on d verge of registering for ielts and with a cgpa of 4.49. I plan to master in pure international relations abroad. But my headache is if scholarship is sth that is possible. After searching for schools, I found some good ones offering my course like university of British Columbia, Alberta, uni Vancouver, dalhousie, uni Stuttgart, uni Berlin, and some in USA. Now, must I write gre if I am to concentrate on Canada and are there Canadian schools that give things like free tuition waiver? I seriously need your input as time an age is running. Man gats get MSc bf 30.ur assistance is indeed needed. |
Hello gud men of this forum. Kudos. Please I v been searching all along for Canadian schools that I'll suit my desired course of study. Now I've found like three gud ones. Now I v all my documents except the ielts that I I'll write by September. Now please are there schools that offer free tuition waiver or full MSc scholarship for a good 2.1 Nigerian graduate? |
@crispel, wat a good experience you have in your school. Just try and finish well. Wats the upcoming United nation program? I might be interested. |
For me, I I'll advice if you have a way, move to USA and start looking for ways to get your papers. I am in the Same situation with you bro. Graduated with a high 2.1 (4.49) but yet to secure anything. Please guys wat do you think i should do in this country now with a degree in international relations? The worst is that my parents can't afford to sponsor me for masters. Am damn frustrated. |
Thanks @chiomaxoxo. |
This thread is quite educating. You guys are d bomb. It seems am curious just like ezegozie concerning opportunities in Germany and Norway. But if I may ask, between the two, which one offers high wage rate and business opportunities in terms of wat one can be loading in the container and sending back home? Now, assuming a person decides to study in Norway, like how much krone I'll the person be getting per hour? At the end, can one enroll for a certification course in may be age care, sales, project management, or mining if your background is from the arts and social science? Or can social science students still find something to pin down in Norway after studies? Your input is needed bosses. |
The yorubas are the most educated tribe. They always play the game of politics well and when it favors them, people I'll start calling them saboteurs. Now for buhari to be defeated, the opposition needs to file out ribadu. He is a progressive who I'll mk sure money were spent for wat they were meant for. He is educated and can command votes from few northern States, enlightened yorubas and ss and se. But the opposition will not hear. They I'll say he is a child n I'll bring people ladened with corruption to contest thinking Nigerians still think like in d past. |
@bandeco,tnks for your insightful reply. I I'll really look up universities in those countries and the chance es of staying back while tracking Norway still. The issue is that apart from getting quality education, I v long desired to live in Norway because I see it as a place one can get good life, business opportunity, and high wages. Now, let's say I finish my masters in uio which is my target, can I do a certification course in say marketing or project management and use it to pin down like sales or hotel jobs while looking for bigger opportunities? @rinzylee, I appreciate your advice. I'll check up d Commonwealth scholarship, but do you know if one can as well get scholarship in any Scandinavian country? |
Shiiiit. Wat a blow. Tnks @jeffoe. Had I know I would v buckled up and try this year. Anyway that's gone. But please how much is the tuition now? Can they still waive tuition for one with a high 2.1, a good ielts score and other stuff. Please which Country will you advice I should look towards for full masters scholarship or tuition waiver. Am about doing the ielts and with a cgpa of 4.49. Wanna study international relations, or migration and refugee studies. |
Gunshots for gurus in the house. You v been doing well. My salute to those that I'll storm Finland soon. God I'll be with you as you set to excel. Please I intend to apply for the next application round. But when I'll the next application be coming up? Is Finland still offering tuition masters degree? I intend to do masters in international relations or political science, which University I'll be ideal for it in finny? wats the likelihood of being admitted in uni Helsinki? I'll like to hear from you to know how to prepare. |
Please this ntu is it full tuition or 2000 pounds minus? Are there other uni that one can get full tuition in UK? I'll be interested to apply for masters starting by Jan 2017 so that I can write ielts by then. |
Congrats for those that were shortlisted for interviews. Please I want to apply for this current opening that I'll end by June 1. How feasible is it for me to be selected? . I only have one year teaching experience and one year sales rep experience. Should I include the sales experience as a leadership position I have held? I need your answers gurus in d house. |
