My point is that if for any reason your PR application is refused, regardless of 2028 expiry date, you will need to have another biometrics. Unlike tourist visas, where you can reapply or renew a visa without having to do a new biometrics each time. ontarioissauga: |
Easy. Get a degree. OND/HND or BSC. Or look into Skilled Trade. Banemu: |
Every biometrics you do For tourist visa, Student visa, transit visa etc etc lasts for 10 years If you are unlucky to get your PR application refused or cancelled 10 times in 1 year, you must do biometrics 10 times. ontarioissauga: |
Your uncle is a wise man. Banemu: |
That's definitely a ghost update. Jennypharb1: |
Biometrics is not biometrics in this case o. For temporary residence visas, it lasts for 10 years. For every permanent residence visa application, you must do another biometrics. ontarioissauga: |
Tojued!!!! Congratulations to you. You have no idea how many good thoughts I send your way! Congratulations to you too Ramj! Beautiful news everywhere. |
Hi Guys, It's PPR for me!!!!!!!!!! Below is my timeline. Decision to Relocate: June 2018 IELTS: 30th June. L9 R9 S8 W8 ECA: WES. Registered 11th June received ECA 7th August. Entered the pool same day. ITA: 8th August. CRS 445 AOR: 24th August PPR: 19th February Family of 2 (child and parent) VO: Accra. I believe my file was transferred late September. When I found out my application was at AVO I was so disheartened ehn. I tried to find information online about this VO and all I could see were people who submitted their passports to Accra discussing timelines. It wasn't until that petition was raised that I realised there was a whatsapp group. By then, I had resigned my fate to a lengthy processing and didn't bother to join. No ADR. Biometrics/Medical passed: Don't remember but completed biometrics 24th September. Medical was Prime PH on the last day they opened shop for Canadian PR medicals. I highlighted salary deposits and one payslip for each year I claimed points from and of course reference letter in IRCC format. I had 4 police clearance certificates. Nigerian was from our Inspector. I filled the form and mailed to him. POF was USD account with above required POF for my family size, but I added my Naira account and 25% of Pension funds which also added up to above required POF. I claimed sibling point and I added our birth certificates from NPC, parents' marriage certificate, sibling's Canadian passport and Canadian driving licence. I completed Schedule A upfront because of the many address changes I have. I applied as Legally Separated. Below are a list of documents I submitted. Admin, consider pining this to page 1. I researched so much on this and never actually found anybody that would give the outcome of their application. I submitted a Separation Agreement drafted by my lawyer and signed by both of us and also notarised. Evidence of previously filed divorce suit in the last country I lived in. And an explanation on why I withdrew the case. Signed and notarized consent to apply for PR and consent to Travel with our child. It helps that my soon to be ex spouse and I are actually quite friendly. So getting these forms were a breeze. We considered having my parents in law (I refuse to call them ex. They are absolutely the best) swear an affidavit but decided that would be over kill. But hey, add anything that can prove your case. Sworn affidavit of separation Child's passport Soon to be ex's passport signed STB ex spouse's sworn affidavit of separation A letter of explanation. Basically a short letter. Max 4 sentences saying I was not using this means to circumvent the rules and sponsor an inadmissible person. My major fear applying as separated was that my STB ex spouse and I renewed our US visa 1 month before AOR as married. This was because we did not have any legal documents to explain our status then. We actually had to attend an interview as our country of residence does not have drop box. I was afraid they would think we were actually still together. I see lots of new inquiries about divorce and separation. There you have it guys. I have submitted my passport already. Just mine because our child has an American passport. Now trying to convince my office to cross post me once again! Goodluck to everyone still waiting for one thing or another. If I think of anything else, I will update my post |
Fizzle!!!!!! Congratulations! August people it looks like it's our time!!!!!! fizzile: |
As a very impatient person, this journey is testing to say the least. I do not like situations I cannot control. Well, we wait. When we are tired of waiting, we wait some more. Utonne: |
I'm panicking right alongside you. My visa office is Accra. So that's another strong thing. JumzieBabyy: |
You people have come again. Go to dating websites and find a wife... Real wife or for whatever nefarious reasons you need a wife. DominicFN: |
The answer to this question is NO. Unless of course you have been previously married and divorced before this marriage that is currently about to end. olub123456789: |
Tod12:I used FBN Dollar card. It went through at first try. |
Man! The wait is something else. On the bright side, I have stopped checking my profile. Last last they must respond to us. Utonne: |
The said person has received AOR. Meaning she has done her medicals already. Fshady: gook: |
Not only do you need medicals for her (I wonder why there was no place holder created for this) you also need the consent from non accompanying parent from the mother. This basically gives you consent to apply for PR for her since the mother has custody. Dotcman: |
I think it means they need to further verify your details like how many years you've worked, how authentic your company is, did you do the duties you said you did. This may be done through further internet searches or phone calls or worst case scenario, interview. In progress means no decision on eligibility has been reached. Do you have an idea why your eligibility might not be straight forward? Employer details online? Did you include payslips? Bank statements? fizzile: |
Congratulations Ramj and Lansky and all the other ITA grabbers. |
Why do you need your birth certificate? Are you trying to establish relationship with a sibling you are claiming points from? If not, you do not need your birth certificate. 55emem55: |
Original Fizzle is back. Bye bye Feezeel. Congratulations to the IELTS smashers. For those that didn't quite get their desired scores, eyes on the price and keep trying. |
All these fake age questions should stop please. Did you consult us before you falsified your age? Leave us all out of it and sort out your own mess. You people are bringing undue scrutiny to Nigerians. Making a mockery of sworn affidavits and NPC birth declarations. Personally, I believe everybody who has ever had a cause to lie about or to conceal their age is an underachiever and quite frankly a looser. |
So MOD IDP now advertises on Nairaland. I guess they need to award 6.5 in writing on a more massive scale. |
I read on another thread about someone that had the same issue and called IRCC. The person was told that a Program Assistant has to update the detail "manually" for it to reflect on their profile. I guess when next your file is picked up for review it will be updated. I noticed that your additional document field shows NA. You were asked for additional documents which you have provided? Could you share what it was? 234GG: |
I got the mail when I created my EE profile and when I received ITA. I'm still currently in IP2. Utonne: |
I have not asked for visa office. I figure since they are still giving me information it's at Ottawa. They did specify that if your processing office is outside Canada the call centre reps cannot give you information. +16139444000. I buy Skype credit so I use that. Just follow the voice prompts. JumzieBabyy: |
Right now I'm on what was formally known as IP2. Have been since AOR. Of course medical passed and no ADR or interview. We are processing your background check. We will contact you if we need more information. JumzieBabyy: |
My biometric information, that is enrollment date and expiry was updated less than 1 hour after capture. It also changed to Completed against the biometric entry. When I logged back in, the action required I was seeing before biometrics was captured changed to submitted. 234GG: |
I also wish this would happen more. Frankly, it's just on this thread that people announce only when there's PPR. Or when they are stuck on a process pre PPR. While we enjoy reading those, giving small updates wouldn't hurt. It gives people with similar timelines a reference point. That being said, last time I posted that I called IRCC and was told my criminality was in progress, 2 weeks ago or so, I called again and criminality has been passed. I plan on calling this week as well. raphrulz: |
Canada has officially stated that they only share biometric information with the US. And this may include checking criminal records and admissibility even if you have not lived in The US for 6 months. This is why in GCMS note under info sharing it shows NRT.... No reportable trace and not "application details tally with what applicant has told us". This is not to say that they may not look at your complete application, but this is unofficially. I doubt that they are allowed to factor this into their final decision. But then again ,who knows the full workings of IRCC. |
You have more than 5 children ? Dude I have one and I spend most of my days thinking about boarding schools and like sale of kids and whatnot. Cece23: |
