macof:I will translate prior post. On February 14th,the citizens will decide who is better able to handle the responsibilities of leadership, knowing their antecedents. I look forward to the day. #change #GMB #APC |
macof:You are entitled to your opinion, but we will settle the question on the 15th of FeBuhari. And we will judge Jonathan for his deeds and misdeeds. Harshly too. #change #GMB #APC |
moderatorr1:Please don't cover Jonathan with his wife's wrapper. Both of them chased out the governor of Bayelsa state, and now they want to chase out the very replacement they picked? Was Mbu as police commissioner in Rivers strictly carrying out his duties or playing politics? Teargassing members of the national assembly and using the police to obstruct access to their offices? Using his pet Akpabio to funnel funds for the impeachment of Nyako. Using the DSS to harass the APC in lagos, using a massive police and army presence to rig in Ekiti, and attempt the same in Osun, while preventing citizens not belonging to his party from going about their lawful business. If you have forgotten, we remember very very well. #change #GMB #APC |

So...? If he had been working hard the past 6yrs there would be no need for you to be begging on his behalf. Too little, too late. Sorry. #change #GMB #APC |
Baba Sege, thanks, but please remain in pdp. And no more trainees for president biko #change #GMB #APC |
Rawani:Jonathan is the the only ignorant one in the pdp #change #GMB #APC |
Abeg, Fayose is just like his master Jonathan. But FeBuhari is coming and they will see the result. #change #GMB #APC |
Jonathan has proven his incompetence at every turn, and yes it is time for him to get kicked out, no matter the fraud he tries to perpetuate. #change #GMB #APC |
These are recent comments by Pastor Wale Adefarasin and the sentiment is clear. How can so called Christians be exhibiting such bigotry here. Please stop shaming the God you serve. I feel compelled to make a few comments in light of the articles and comments a few people have made in pursuance of the various election campaigns that are being mounted in the run up to our general elections. My first observation is that most of the campaigns have become negative, attacking opponents credentials and character and failing to spell out plans and policies, almost as if we are being solicited to vote against and not for candidates. Because of my position as a Christian leader I have chosen to maintain a non-partisan stance even though I have personally decided for whom I will vote and will exercise my right in a secret ballot. My main concern is the dimension religion is taking in our polity, manifested in the accusations made against General Mohamadu Buhari with regards to religious fundamentalism. Never before has religion become such a major factor in our political life as it has in the last few years, and if left unchecked religion has the capacity to destroy our nation. Christians and Muslims have been slaughtered in the Fun of terror that has been unleashed on our nation through Boko Haram, yet the promotion of religious harmony requires dialogue and not accusations of fundamentalism and religious bigotry. The Islamisation or Christianisation of Nigeria requires an amendment to our constitution and no President can change the Nigerian constitution without obtaining three quarters of the votes of the National Assembly in addition to the votes of two thirds of the State Assemblies. It is easier to impeach a President than it is to amend our constitution. There is no question that GMB is a strong adherent to the Muslim faith, which is his constitutional right and which we are bound to respect. If GMB is a fundamentalist then so am I, because I desire to see a wholly Christian Nigeria, the result of proselytising and not of force. I also believe Jesus words when He said ‘I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me’. Does this mean that I believe that other faiths are inferior to the Christian faith? Of course not, for I accept the right of every Nigerian to hold whatever faith he chooses and would be irresponsible to denigrate that faith. Dialogue between Christians and Muslims was first championed in Nigeria, and has become imperative as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency. We should as ‘Peacemakers’ be leading the way to peace and not fanning the flames of strife. We should cease from inflammatory language and respect the right to freedom of worship. A man’s freedom to worship ends where he impinges on the freedoms of others, Boko Haram clearly impinge on the freedoms of others and must be stopped. This position does not belie an insensitivity to the suffering that Christians and Muslims have suffered in North Eastern Nigeria, but a realism, that accepts that we must live together and we can do so in harmony if we work to do so. Christians must be prepared to engage in discussion with Muslims who we know do not embrace Jihad or Islamism, these abound and include General Mohamadu Buhari. PASTOR WALE ADEFARASIN is the General Overseer of Guiding Light Assembly, a non-denominational church with branches in Lagos, Abuja and London. He is a social entrepreneur, author, TV presenter, and thought leader. He is the convening apostle of the Nigeria Coalition of Apostles, an affiliate of the International Coalition of Apostles and leads a number of pastor’s networks He is married to Laolu Adefarasin and they have three children. http://www.bellanaija.com/2015/01/20/wale-adefarasin-respecting-everyones-right-to-freedom-of-worship/ |
Exactly what did Adefarasin say? #change #GMB #APC |
Perhaps they are looking for a better president, especially for security reasons? #change #GMB #APC |
So what is the problem with the ad? At least they are not wishing him dead like fayose? Jonathan's ad had people he was comparing himself with, and he has been shown his rightful place. Mass unemployment, insurgency, oil theft and he believes he is moving Nigeria forward? In the last 5yrs exactly what has he achieved? Why can he not run a campaign based on said supposed achievements. Why is he sponsoring people to ask for a delay in the election? Mtcheeeeeew, please let him go. #change #GMB #APC #oneNigeria |
Mbu is a fool, and if he doesn't see retirement this year... That kind of public servant cannot be tolerated in a Buhari government. He even stole the carpet from his official accommodation in Rivers. Cheap and shameless. http://www.punchng.com/news/you-are-a-womans-puppet-amaechi-replies-mbu/ You are a woman’s puppet, Amaechi replies Mbu September 16, 2014 by Our correspondent Rivers State Governor, Mr.Rotimi Amaechi, had described the former Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Joseph Mbu, as a puppet of a woman, who has continued to glorify himself for his controversial tenure in the state. Amaechi said this in a statement by his Chief press Secretary, Mr. David Iyofor, on Tuesday while reacting to a comment by Mbu that as a lion, he tamed “the tamed the leopard of Port Harcourt” while he was the Rivers State Commissioner of Police. Apparently referring to Amaechi as the ‘leopard’ whom he tamed as a ‘lion’, the controversial police officer, who was recently promoted as an Assistant Inspector General of Police, said it took a lion to tame a leopard. Mbu said this while handing over to the FCT Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, on Monday in Abuja. Amaechi however noted that instead of the AIG describing himself as a lion, he would be better be known as “a puppet, who completely lacks the steel and strength of character of a lion, and is rather a shameless puppet and toothless attack dog of a woman.” The governor added, “Indeed, it’s very sad, pathetic, however ironic that Mbu called himself a lion. Which lion? This character call Mbu Joseph Mbu completely lacks the courage, steel and strength of character of a lion. This is a man paid by taxpayers to protect, secure and serve the interests of the people. But when he was in Rivers State, he spurned the people; trampled on the masses and rather elected to be the partisan servant of one woman, to be the woman’s tool in causing disaffection, confusion and crises in Rivers State. “Mbu shamelessly turned himself into the toothless attack dog of this woman to fight the government and people of Rivers State.” “How can a man, who has no strength of character to be himself, be a man and stand up to a woman, a man who willingly submits himself to serve as the puppet of a woman, call himself a lion? How ironic! Mr. Mbu, no lion behaves like that! He is a shame to the Nigerian Police Force.” Amaechi explained that Mbu epitomised everything that was wrong with the police in Nigeria, alleging that the former state CP “not only disobeyed the Inspector General of Police during his time in Rivers State but also clearly acted lawlessly, like a man who is above the law and in fact, turned himself into the law.” The governor said, “All these, Mbu did because he was the puppet of one woman, a woman who clearly has no constitutional role to play in the governance of Rivers State or Nigeria. Mbu’s only claim to fame and prominence is because he has turned himself into a willing tool and servant of this woman.” Amaechi further alleged that when the former Rivers police commissioner finally left the state, he disobeyed the instruction of the Inspector General of Police to pack out of his official residence in Rivers State. #change #GMB #APC |
DaJulee:Sad to say but you missive is full of lies and shows cowardice. If Jonathan is strong competent and popular, why is the pdp trying to delay the election? Why is the president not campaigning on his supposed achievements? Have you seen the 2nd Niger bridge, or even one single new refinery? Has one Chibok girl been rescued by the army? Is the US dollar not now over 200naira? What has happened to our foreign reserves? Why has our foreign debt ballooned while we se next to no development? Do NECO /JAMB, now record mass passes and not mass failures? Please if you are confident, let the election come on February 14,and the voice of the people will be heard. Your childish prattle could have used major editing but I guess it seemed just fine to you, no wonder you are ready to tolerate a failure in government for another four years. The majority says no, and you will soon feel it. #change #GMB #APC |
Of course the pdp will turn a blind eye to the actions of their thugs, but they should know that eventually, there will be a firm response. Where are all the bigots who are always shouting about violence in the north? Now APC supporters in Rivers State have been shot, one murdered, offices bombed, and this... Bloody hypocrites. Wike is a lost cause, and so is Jonathan. #change #GMB #APC |
richardomoko:You are the one who misunderstands why I raised this issue. The President's comments were reported in the press, and they are out of sync with his advertising. It is not the APC that caused that to happen. If the president is not on top of his briefs, this is what will happen. Like his comments about MEND, both statements cannot be true. And how well do you think health services are holding up, in the areas he has practically ceded to boko haram? #change #GMB #APC |
RevDesmondJuju:Thank you for your most ignorant and bigoted response! |
With such a negative campaign why is the president surprised at his rough reception in most of the north? #change #GMB #APC |

http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs114/en/ Key facts Polio (poliomyelitis) mainly affects children under 5 years of age. One in 200 infections leads to irreversible paralysis. Among those paralysed, 5% to 10% die when their breathing muscles become immobilized. Polio cases have decreased by over 99% since 1988, from an estimated 350 000 cases then, to 416 reported cases in 2013. The reduction is the result of the global effort to eradicate the disease. In 2014, only 3 countries (Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan) remain polio-endemic, down from more than 125 in 1988. As long as a single child remains infected, children in all countries are at risk of contracting polio. Failure to eradicate polio from these last remaining strongholds could result in as many as 200 000 new cases every year, within 10 years, all over the world. In most countries, the global effort has expanded capacities to tackle other infectious diseases by building effective surveillance and immunization systems. |

The man is full of deceit. Check this out https://www.nairaland.com/2110332/jonathan-lies-polio-eradication #change #GMB #APC |
Was polio eradicated on Thursday or Friday, or does the President not know that his campaign is misinforming the public? #change #GMB #APC |
On Wednesday in Kano, president Jonathan promised the people that he would completely eradicate Polio in the course of this year, 2015. Last night I spotted a pdp web advert that claims Polio has been eradicated under his government? http://leadership.ng/news/405711/jonathan-kano-promises-eradicate-polio-2015 The president said that the World Health Organisation (WHO) would declare Nigeria polio-free this year, following the concerted effort of his administration to eradicate the deadly disease which had crippled a lot of young children in the country, especially in the north. Recounting how Nigeria’s war against polio began, he said, “And as I am telling you now, in 2014 the WHO declared India free of polio and they declared Bangladesh free of polio. We would have been declared last year but because of our challenges. But let me reassure you that, insha Allah, WHO will declare Nigeria polio-free this year.”

That woman needs a good slap! Now they want to 'fix' the price of kerosene just because the election is near? Shameless stunt. Where are all the new refineries we were promised? #change #GMB #APC |
It would be best to agree some ground rules before the debate. Perhaps a range of topics? Too much of the juvenile antics thing going on already. Topics - security, jobs, corruption, electricity... #change #GMB #APC |
The president insults himself just by opening his mouth. But only until February 14 when he will learn humility If advertising space has been booked LASAA cannot have another party tearing down ads that have been paid FOR, and replacing them. If the pdp was late in booking space that is their problem, not LASAA. #change #GMB #APC |
Op, I'm sure you have noted the quality of response here. And the almost utter failure of many to hold their leadership to account. How can people insist on supporting a President who continually lies to them? The promised refineries are still a pipe dream and Diezani has promised us that we will still be importing fuel by 2020! Obviously good business for some people but not for the country or its citizens. As for Moro, I will just say that Jonathan's action, or his inaction is typical. Nothing is ever the fault of his government or him. He takes responsibility for nothing. So people died, so what? They have been followed to the grave by thousands more in the north east, middle belt etc. In the south kidnapping is now the fashion, so wherever we are we are plagued by insecurity and there is no sign of a response from him. Unless he is using the police to harass Amaechi in Rivers or Tambuwal. Never has Nigeria been governed by someone with so little interest or passion for the country and the job. Ridiculous! Still I'm sure there are more than enough Nigerians who know life should not be this precarious, and a President should act like one, as the foremost citizen and representative of the nation. I am convinced that Buhari is the man we need at this moment. His frugality is the first difference, his knowledge of the army is another positive. In his life he has amply shown a disinterest in corruptly enriching himself or his friends, and his recommendation of dora akunyili to lead Nafdac shows he will remember and reward good character. His rigid opinions means that the Stella Oduah/Moro incidents are unlikely to happen in a government he heads, and if it does, the penalties would be swift. There are many more positives including almost all he talks about in his first 100 days document. In contrast, Jonathan arrived without a plan or even the ambition to be president, and has now left his party and the nation bitterly divided on so many issues. The true meaning of ichabod. There is nothing to recommend him, which is why his campaign is full of wicked calumny and deceit. Buhari has ideas and has been pumping them out but the pdp under Jonathan is simply an intellectual desert. I have never met Buhari (not yet), do not come from his tribe or region but if I judge him against Jonathan he comes out ahead on EVERY count. The APC also has presented a more credible idea of what they want Nigeria to become. It is a vision I'm committed to, and obviously much of the nation too. To me the choice was clear and simple. If Nigeria won't be good for me, let it be united and good for my children. We have to change direction and Buhari / APC is the only credible option. #change #GMB #APC |
