@Op,
Igbos do not vote along ethnic line. We vote performance and credibility.

By the way what is Chekwas contesting for? Who sent him? Who has he consulted? What alliance has he built?
Not true. Even from casual observations in this forum...

The sad fact is that so few people are inclined to read and understand this document. Goes to show the lousy job our education sector has been performing for quite a while. Ideas to improve life for Nigerians, and no one is paying attention. Perhaps the pdp understands that many people just want to hear platitudes and be on their way, which is why their campaign has been so bereft of content. All the same, change is coming. The APC remains the party of ideas.

They did it to ape Barack Obama's famous "HOPE" logo with the blue and red shades.

But there's a problem...

In Obama's logo, the red and blue colors stood for something. They represented the colors on America's flag.
This one, on the other hand, just reeks of a very desperate attempt at whitewashing a senile megalomaniac with delusions of integrity.
Nice hustle all the same.

You are wrong. That style is from pop art style of the late 1950s and 1960s, of which Andy Warhol was perhaps the most famous exponent. His famous picture of Marilyn Monroe set the standard for this design.

PoliticsRe: Analytics Firm Predicts Buhari Victory by Change2015(op): 6:36pm On Jan 22, 2015
I can definitely say the Fayose advert has turned many people against the pdp. It was too brazen and desperate, and so far the pdp has shown an inability to dominate the news headlines for almost any reason, good or bad. An incompetent president is one who cannot recognise the damage bad friends and poor advisers do to his cause. We will benefit from the cumulative missteps of the pdp.

Buhari went through the party primaries and emerged the overwhelming choice of delegates across the nation. We saw it and it was a free and fair process. APC supporters are well satisfied with his personal and professional qualities and we are labouring for his victory next month. Of course these are old comments from years ago when Sanusi was still keeping our naira safe. I'm sure after his experience with Jonathan, He is smiling at his fortune. Next month Jonathan will officially become a has-been, while he remains Emir for life. Life is sweet indeed.

Just take a look at the pictures and one will notice the large percentage of minors.

These are children who should be in school.

But they roam the streets.

Other governors have put in place laws prohibiting loitering of minors and backed it up with free education.

But these APC governors in the north are only focused on enslaving their populace and using them as political tools.

Their children are the UK eg Buhari while they use other people's children to carry out violent acts.

Northern Nigeria wake up and free yourself from APC oligarchy ideology before you self destruct.
Why were children allowed to attend? Is the pdp trying to manufacture crowds by force? Happy transformation agenda to you. Change is coming.

PoliticsAnalytics Firm Predicts Buhari Victory by Change2015(op): 2:55pm On Jan 22, 2015
http://www.newspunch.org/foreign-analytic-firm-predicts-victory-for-buhari-see-details/

DaMina Advisors, a leading provider of risk advisory services for emerging markets registered in five countries, with a focus on Africa, has predicted a victory for the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, in the 14 February 2015 presidential elections.

Using its VERITAS Frontier Markets Electoral Forecast Statistical Model, the firm predicted a close election, with an eventual victory for Buhari by 700,000 votes, with both candidates meeting the second constitutional requirement of getting at least 25% of the vote in 24 of the 36 states of the Federation.

The extent of voting possible in the North East is expected to play a key role in the outcome of the poll, with the firm citing a run-off as a possibility.

According to the report, Buhari’s victory will likely see him snatching the commercial capital, Lagos, away from the opposition as well as racking up double digit gains in the Muslim north and single digit gains in the south western ethnic Yoruba states.

“Jonathan is set to maintain his very high margins in the oil producing Niger Delta south-south region, his home region, as well as strong margins in the eastern pan-ethnic Igbo states. Jonathan will likely also hang on to some religiously mixed middle-belt northern states adjoining the capital, Abuja. However abandoned by his political godfather, influential former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and beset by an active Boko Haram insurgency in the north eastern parts of the country that has sapped his middle class and female support even in many southern Christian states, Jonathan is poised to likely receive a cold Valentine’s Day gift of ejection from the presidential palace at Aso Rock in Abuja. Jonathan’s defeat, if it happens, will be unprecedented in Nigeria’s political history.

“A Buhari win on the 14th followed by a strong showing by the opposition All
Progressives Congress (APC) party at the 28th February governorship races will see Nigeria edge closer and closer to a more normal bifurcated two-party system with the APC on the center-left and the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on the center-right.

“While the complex and tortured histories of both parties is too long to recount here, essentially while the APC looks to the build a strong decentralized managed capitalist social democratic state, with a slight leftward PanAfrican tilt towards China-Russia; the PDP looks to continue its generally centralized, pro-Western neoliberal free market capitalist democratic state, with a more insular Pan Nigerian nationalist neo-colonial tilt.”

Many things could be possible but if your wild speculation is the case, then the DSS should have kept a watch on those with access to inecs database in abuja. Raiding an APC office in lagos was simply a stupid publicity stunt, and despite torturing the staff into making false declarations, where has the story gone? Who has been charged to court? In case you are not aware, this is in response to the ridiculous claim that the apc in lagos wanted to hack the inec database. The inec database is not online, and the apc office as well was not online, their computers had USB ports disabled to prevent data theft. So perhaps the DSS will explain how the hacking was to happen, when both offices keep their dbs inaccessible via the Internet.

PoliticsReligion And Politics - Pastor Wale Adefarasin by Change2015(op): 1:16am On Jan 22, 2015
I feel compelled to make a few comments in light of the articles and comments a few people have made in pursuance of the various election campaigns that are being mounted in the run up to our general elections.

My first observation is that most of the campaigns have become negative, attacking opponents credentials and character and failing to spell out plans and policies, almost as if we are being solicited to vote against and not for candidates. Because of my position as a Christian leader I have chosen to maintain a non-partisan stance even though I have personally decided for whom I will vote and will exercise my right in a secret ballot.

My main concern is the dimension religion is taking in our polity, manifested in the accusations made against General Mohamadu Buhari with regards to religious fundamentalism. Never before has religion become such a major factor in our political life as it has in the last few years, and if left unchecked religion has the capacity to destroy our nation. Christians and Muslims have been slaughtered in the orgy of terror that has been unleashed on our nation through Boko Haram, yet the promotion of religious harmony requires dialogue and not accusations of fundamentalism and religious bigotry. The Islamisation or Christianisation of Nigeria requires an amendment to our constitution and no President can change the Nigerian constitution without obtaining three quarters of the votes of the National Assembly in addition to the votes of two thirds of the State Assemblies. It is easier to impeach a President than it is to amend our constitution.

There is no question that GMB is a strong adherent to the Muslim faith, which is his constitutional right and which we are bound to respect. If GMB is a fundamentalist then so am I, because I desire to see a wholly Christian Nigeria, the result of proselytising and not of force. I also believe Jesus words when He said ‘I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me’. Does this mean that I believe that other faiths are inferior to the Christian faith? Of course not, for I accept the right of every Nigerian to hold whatever faith he chooses and would be irresponsible to denigrate that faith.

Dialogue between Christians and Muslims was first championed in Nigeria, and has become imperative as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency. We should as ‘Peacemakers’ be leading the way to peace and not fanning the flames of strife. We should cease from inflammatory language and respect the right to freedom of worship. A man’s freedom to worship ends where he impinges on the freedoms of others, Boko Haram clearly impinge on the freedoms of others and must be stopped. This position does not belie an insensitivity to the suffering that Christians and Muslims have suffered in North Eastern Nigeria, but a realism, that accepts that we must live together and we can do so in harmony if we work to do so. Christians must be prepared to engage in discussion with Muslims who we know do not embrace Jihad or Islamism, these abound and include General Mohamadu Buhari.

PASTOR WALE ADEFARASIN is the General Overseer of Guiding Light Assembly, a non-denominational church with branches in Lagos, Abuja and London.
He is a social entrepreneur, author, TV presenter, and thought leader. He is the convening apostle of the Nigeria Coalition of Apostles, an affiliate of the International Coalition of Apostles and leads a number of pastor’s networks
He is married to Laolu Adefarasin and they have three children.

Jonathan has formed a habit whenever he campaigns. When he climbs the platform, instead of saying what he would do, he would say the state governor, the party chairman, the VP and so on had said what he would like to say.
It's really sad to think this man is the no1 citizen of this potentially great country. I know the pdp could have easily produced a better candidate, but Jonathan and his SS mob have intimidated the pdp into the jaws of disaster. We must make history next month by throwing out the incumbent.
