If truly she has resigned, that would be a smart political move. She is eyeing the next presidential election and needs time to prepare and mobilise ground support. Also, serving for another term in Obamas cabinet might spell doom for her presidential ambition if Obama does not do well in his second term;she would be labelled as a product of a failed administration who has nothing new to offer. As a secretary of state, she has had to travel so much under tight schedules and being a woman that she is,she needs some time to recuperate and also look after her family, the fear of Monica is the beginning of wisdom. |
"I will call the white house"...Africans sha...same mentality.Little wonder ignorant oyibos think africa is a country instead of a continent. |
Ok....I would say I was pretty surprised when I saw his portraits, those pictures are nearly unbelievable and I felt this was another Michelangelo or Leonardo Da vinci in the making, those pictures ,if real are the product of a genius and master painter.I decided to do a background check on him to ascertain how hes able to produce those amazing pictures and this is what I found. Transcripts of a conversation between him and someone who accused him of being a fraud and master con artist.Interestingly, there are plenty of other such accusations and attacks that he had to shut down some of his social media accounts because of the hate he claimed he was receiving from some section of the public, mostly from aspiring painters like him. In all these, one thing comes to mind,Is this another case of Emeagwali or a typical case of oyibo bad belle?..only time will tell. Below is a transcript of his conversation with a fellow artist and Painter KELVIN: I deactivated my account from devianart. I wasn't removed. I was receiving too much negativity there and felt uncomfortable logging on and always receiving hateful messages. I haven't deceived anyone. As God is my witness my works are genuine. It was a personal decision to remove myself from that website. It was a selfish decision to make especially knowing that others appreciated my works but it was decision I had to make. You are also a good person and a great artist. I wish you the best of luck also. Painter: If you continue to purpetrate this fraud on people we will follow you everywhere and continue to report the truth. You continue to lie. You did not just deactivate your account because of negativity, you had a piece of artwork removed because the staff at DA believed it to be fraudelant. We have proof! You were a good con-artist for awhile but it's finally caught up to you. And if you go on your FB pages telling people you left because of the negativity, we'll prove your a liar with the email from DA staff. KELVIN: I removed my works and I received that message as soon as I deleted that picture. Ask the DA staff what happened! A member reported my Eva Mendes drawing and as soon as I deleted that drawing that message automatically responded. I am so disappointed with you Robb. You're calling me a liar and fraud when I'm honestly not. Completed unfair. End of conversation Comments from Painter He's now blocked me from having converstion with him through private messages. So do we have actual confirmation that it was the staff that removed it or he removed it? Either way he's a liar but just trying to figure out if he's holding onto this lie as long as he can. By the way, I'm absolutely convinced now that, he or others working with him, are running fraudulent accounts on Facebook. This last reply to the conversation that showed his stuff was removed by Deviant by a guy named John Balestrino was this: That Kelvin Okafor is a master at what he does, He's on my top ten list of masters so far. He makes it look too easy. I wish It came like that for me. ARe you kidding me? That's got to be the most fake post I've ever seen. How, in the midst of all this, is that the response you come up with? US and European propaganda machine at work!! |
The word "rich" is relative. To someone who barely feeds once a day, that amount is a crazy sum,to others, its not. However,if your able to manage a little sum, that is a good indication you'd be able to manage a huge one when you get the opportunity. |
Why would a lagos -kano trip take 30hrs?. Guess its a locomotive anyway.. ![]() |
Insightful analysis from the OP.I think the outgone MOD did a good job,but I cant say he did that without bias.Seeing the level of "hate" and tussle for ethnic superiority that goes on here, anyone who loves or identifies with his/her ethnic group would be forced to take sides, maybe subconsciously.I also dont feel the forum owner can be completely exonerated since he has the final say on which thread made the front page.Nairaland politics section was highly polarised within the 3rd and 4th quarter of last year,Ojukwu's death and Achebe's book launch helped stoke the fire.Going by the numbers of "likes" posts from ethnic warlords received,it was obvious that each ethnic group was queuing behind their "leader". Appointing an Igbo MOD would pacify a section of posters, but it doesnt solve the problem in the long run,cos every action of the MOD would be viewed from an ethnic prism, moreso when he is a known avowed defender of the Igbo cause.A neutral candidate or someone from a minority ethnic group would have made more sense, seeing that the tussle is mostly between the Igbos and Yoruba. By the way, this is a private forum and the owner would always do what he think is best for his business.I wish the outgone MOD a happy retirement and to the incoming MOD?..time will tell. |
Atiku doesn't mind bowing to the devil if that would make him the President of Nigeria. |
And to think Bayelsa has just nine (9) local govts and roughly a million indigenes. ![]() |
Uruguay is a "poor" country.Has he ever been tempted by petrodollars?.Has someone ever promised to fly him a plane load of dollars into the presidential villa as gratification for contract award?.He looks naturally meek and humble, but if he were to swap nationality as a Nigerian................ |
Their legs are too heavy to lift, majority dont indulge in exercise and lack muscle flexibility.Crossing legs might cause heavy discomfort and cramps. |
who is Joseph Benjamin? |
Internet speed is variable and that might not be a true picture of service quality.Do another speedtest during peak periods and let us know what your bandwidth is like. |
I have watched both videos of Madukas interview on AIT and Ubas response on Channels TV.I can deduce the following; -Coscharis(Maduka) is a meticulous and hardworking businessman, but allowed greed take the better part of him and his bank (access bank),the profits they made from the initial consignments was too good to be true,he fell neck deep into the business and cared less about the risk involved. -Ifeanyi Uba is the typical Nigerian businessman,he has some attributes of a professional con artist,he delivers the first, second and third consignments, ropes you into the deal and scams you big time .I wonder how he even made it big in that business with his un-cordinated mannerism and careless emotional outbursts. He should learn from the likes of Dangote, who has cultivated a culture of talking less and avoiding political statements as much as possible.I think Ubas and his business are headed for a big showdown if access bank invokes the mareva injuction and freeze his global assets. |
Thats a 9mm bullet |
How many Imams own private Jets?.Its high time the government starts imposing heavy taxes on churches for money earned and possibly leave exemptions in instances where the money is used for charity or some other public good. Frankly,I don't see how owning a private Jet would aid the gospel of God or better the life of the church members.Pastors are making free money and building personal empires at the expense of their gullible followers. This is highly pathetic. |
In my honest opinion,Eneh cannot be said to be a dull student,he had two degrees in Nigeria before going to finland for further studies. I think he deliberately flunked his exams to elongate his stay in finland, which invariably qualifies him to become a finnish citizen. And the tuition is supposedly free ,so he can afford to fail as many times as possible. On the issue at hand,I don't see why he should not be issued a certificate if he did everything within the law, anything other than that is plain victimisation and there is no other word to explain it than racism. |
Nice start!!.....Subscribing.. |
Mitt was really a sexy handsome dude is his youthful days. ![]() |
Prof,I don't think its okay to criticise IBB publicly for not lending a helping hand cos he's not under compulsion to do so. Wish you a quick recovery. |
Ok.I dont know if this is the appropriate section, but I feel I would get an answer here. Here it goes... I am an IT enthusiast ,and I have a small web hosted server which I use to run my virtual (cloud) desktop. Now, I host this server myself using a public IP address issued by my ISP, which I would call ISP A.Recently,ISP A has been offering poor services which they blame on incessant fiber cuts, this affected me adversely as I could not access some important files on my web server whenever I am on the go. To forestall such issues,I engaged another ISP which I would call ISP B.With ISP B,I intend to make my web server accessible via the two public IP addresses provided the ISPs,by providing redundancy and fail-over just in the event of service disruption from any ISP. Now,my question is..... 1. Can I load-balance traffic between the two public IP addresses? If yes, how? 2.Is it possible to load-balance between these two servers in such a way that if any of the ISPs goes offline, the DNS resolution does not forward traffic through the offline public IP,but only through the available public IP.This should be an automatic process, without any manual intervention. Suggestions are welcomed..... |
37.3bn on Osubi .This must be the biggest joke of the century .The Osubi I know ,and which I happen to have used does not need such amount of money for its upgrade, except hes planning to demolish the present facility and build from scratch.Even at that, the sum is pretty outrageous, considering hes spent similar sum on an International airport at Asaba, which should have been a domestic aiport at best. |
Discordia: so you are upset because 1 damn bad thing about igbo made front page , but how about the series of anti islam topic that are common to the front page to tarnish the name of islam and give anti islam freaks another ground to insult islam and muslims.Bad news sells, that's correct. But not when someone deliberately puts a poorly articulated news article on the front page to achieve a pre-determined purpose. It was just a criminal prank gone bad. |
To think Femi Fani-kayode was once a minister of the federal republic?.I would give it to him, quite articulate, but after i read a comment where he said witches and wizards were to be blame for plane crashes in Nigeria,i totally lost any little hope I had.Little wonder Wole Soyinka said he knew where the intelligence in the family stopped. Tell us something new Femi,we've heard that line before. ![]() |
yuzedo: NTA is flashing breaking news as we speak that UBA head office is on fire... Abi am I missing something?NTA ke?? .There is a UBA outlet at the ground floor of this building, you could even see it from the pictures.Maybe the NTA reporter mistook it as UBA head office. ![]() |
Is that guy on the topmost floor in the the third pix actually taking pictures or what? .So much for eye witness report,I pray no harm comes his way.The fire service actually looks like they are really prepared for emergencies. The crane alone is enough evidence. |
Now how is this news front page worthy,if not to cause disaffection and drive traffic for the owners of nairaland. No one is denying the fact that this crime actually happened,it did happen, but the motive behind putting this on the front page is pretty obvious to the discerning mind and the strategy seems to be working, but for how long?.Sometimes one gets to wonder whether nairaland is meant to unite us a nation or divide us by inciting and pitting one ethnic group against the other . I want to believe the owner of nairaland wants a "fatwa" declared on him before he realises that he is not getting his priorities right. And maybe he would create an "igbo for igbos" section as a face saving measure like he did for muslims. If you are lacking "quality" and newsworthy items,I can help out. For your information,am planning to rob the CBN and am Igbo by the way,I hope this makes the front page too. |
At last, this long and tortuous process has come to an end....... Firstly,I have to congratulate the outgoing leadership, for their selfless service so far, leadership anywhere is never an easy task or a tea party,no matter how small the set up looks ,so we have to commended you for taking the gauntlet when you were called upon..Dalukwanu To the newly elected leadership, the people who voted you did so with the belief that you would continue from where the current leadership stopped, that is not to say you should continue the policies of the outgoing leadership without review, but listen to the yearnings of the people who voted you and shift some grounds,if necessary.Every institution that does not evolve is surely bound to die or become irrelevant,to avoid this, the leadership should connect to the people and always be open to constructive advice. On this point,I know a considerable number of persons who would want the electoral laws/process reviewed, this could be a good way to start if you can do it and get it right. To the electoral team,I have to thank you once again for responding to this clarion call to duty, even at the risk of insults, vilification, sleepless nights/days,you guys did everything to see this process to an end.Frankly,I dont envy any of you,I dont even know if I would have done a better job than you did, considering the amount of time and energy you dedicated to see this process to conclusion. At the risk of sounding immodest,I would say you guys did an excellent job, despite the obvious flaws, which can be corrected.Since this is an evolving and ongoing process,we hope that the next election would always be better. To everyone that participated in this election, either as a voter, observer or goodwill ambassador,I would say kudos for being part of the process.I know quite a number of us would have loved to see Okija-juju on the ballot, that is a story for another day, as the process has been concluded.I expect Okija and his supporters to participate actively in the electoral reform process, when it eventually starts; that is the bedrock of any election and if you miss out on that,be sure that next year would not be different than this year. Once again Dalunu......... |
Its pretty obvious that this government is highly allergic to truth and facts.I highly commend the "renegade" who leaked this report to the international press,it was a smart move, cos we all know that "official" govt reports are always lacking in substance and truth. Meanwhile,I don't get it when govt officials say the report has not been harmonised,I think they should rather say the report has not been doctored, that is the appropriate word. Kudos to Ribadu for another job well done, you are a true, loyal and patriotic servant of Nigeria. |
Big thanks to the electoral team for a good job so far. Like I have always said, its not a perfect system yet,but there's room for improvement. May your efforts never go unrewarded. Dalunu...... |
acidtalk: When people don't Envy me or talk about me, I am always damn scared.Sir,you never gave an advice, you only engaged in self adulation and that is not an answer to the question. Sorry I called you out but please always stay on point and stop being narcissistic.I read on the other thread where you said Nigerian youths are dead intellectually,it was so amusing as it was outlandish. What have you achieved with all your knowledge to be in a position to pass such ill-thought judgement on the generality of Nigerian youths?.You would do well to humble yourself and make guarded statements. @OP,sorry I derailed the thread.I suggest you maintain your cool, watch what you say and above all, maintain an open line of communication with your superiors. |
This news has made the homepage before,if am not mistaken. Or is it being recycled? |
