John George, on loan to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Lobi Stars, died on Thursday, according to his parent club, Mighty Jets. According to the Mighty Jets, the midfielder passed on in the city of Kaduna after illness. "The management of Mighty Jets FC of Jos has received with great shock the news of the demise of the club's defensive midfielder, John George, who passed on this afternoon in Kaduna after a brief illness," the club announced in a statement on Thursday. The spokesman of Mighty Jets, Mbum Ferdinand, confirmed that the player was sent on loan to Lobi Stars until his death and he described the midfielder "as a hardworking and committed professional who was always respectful to officials and colleagues alike." George was said to have obtained clearance from Lobi Stars to return to Kaduna in order to treat himself following recurring cases of illness. His last game for Lobi Stars was in the 2-2 draw with Kano Pillars in an NPFL game at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi on March 13 this year. The player had previously been in the books of another Jos club, Plateau United, before switching to Mighty Jets. http://ng.supersport.mobi/football/nigeria/news/160421/Nigerian_league_player_dies |

Sports › Dead Referee Named For Match In Nigeria League by Chartey(op): 8:43pm On Apr 21, 2016 |
In a very bizarre circumstance, a faction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) involved in a tussle for leadership named a dead referee, Wale Akinsanya, for a top-flight game to be held this Sunday. The dead referee was appointed for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game between Warri Wolves and Giwa FC billed to be held in the city of Warri by the NFF faction of Chris Giwa. supersport.com understands that the NFF faction, led by Giwa listed, late Akinsanya in its list of appointments for match officials in a letter dated April 20, 2016 to the League Management Company (LMC), which oversees the running of the top division in Nigeria. The late Akinsanya was appointed for the game alongside Tope Orowole and M Adeleke as assistant referees. Peter Efozia is listed as fourth official and Tunde Oloyede as match commissioner. Unknown to the Giwa NFF faction, the referee passed on January 22 after a brief illness at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. http://ng.supersport.mobi/football/nigeria/news/160421/Nigerian_league_player_dies |

lomaxx: Don't make a tourniquet:
We don't use tourniquets anymore.
They cause too much damage to tissues. We advise putting direct pressure on the site. Even if it's a partial amputation, put a rag around it, hold it tight. And for those who don't know what a tourniquet is, read this. a bandage, strip of cloth, etc., that is tied tightly around an injured arm or leg to stop or slow the bleeding from a wound

Please Nairaland, clearly state in the topic that it's Zenith Bank rate since they're the ones sponsoring this. Some banks are cheaper while some are more expensive. So please don't make people walk to their banks thinking it's 320 in every bank. |

Please write it boldly up there that this is Zenith Bank rate. Some banks are higher and some are lower. Please inform people properly since this is a paid post. |
