Christianity Etc › Five Things You Probably Didn't Know About Christ Embassy As A Church (photos) by chatinent(op): 9:33am On Nov 05, 2017
Last Sunday, we discussed Five Things You Never Knew About Jehovah's Witnesses; however this week has a new dimension, Christ Embassy.
https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/christ-embassy.jpg
Here are few things, maybe, you never knew:
.
1. Pastor Chris founded Christ Embassy right from school. https://www.aauekpoma.edu.ng/images/aau/logo.png
Yes, the founder, Chris Oyakhilome founder the ministry in his course of study whilst at Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo state, Nigeria.

.
2. Anita divorced Pastor Chris with charges of womanizing.
https://buzznigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Pastor-Chris-and-wife.jpg
Yes, Anita, Chris' wife accused him of sleeping with his female church goers.
.
3. All the other pastors and most members mimick Pastor Chris.
https://buzznigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Pastor-Chris3.jpg
The other pastors mimick their founder in everything, dressing, hair style, speech, pattern.
https://static.pulse.ng/img/incoming/origs6719648/1311857436-w640-h640/Christ-Embassy-pastors-retouch-their-hair-like-their-founder-and-dress-like-him-too.jpg
Their church goers are no exception. In a Sunday morning when people are preparing to go to their various churches, you would see a young man retouching his hair to return curls.
.
4. They started as a prayer team to be a big congregation. Dating back to when they started, it was a small prayer team, but now a global church. In fact, they run most of the religious channels in Africa and diaspora on Satellite.
.
Their church goers may work in the church too, and believe you me, they earn big-ger than you working the same work elsewhere! With the launch of the Rhaspody of Realities, it has shifted the work too, to evangelism and it's somewhat cool (...) Moreover, during their progress, scandalous reports were attributed to the church and founder for money laundering, sex scandal, using their female members; wife and daughters alike, etc.
.
Around sometime in 2012, Pastor Chris gave also a theory that bombed religiou-city. He said masturbation was no sin, neither was smoking or being alcoholic! Other notable pastor shot back at him though. His very words: '"the reason you are thinking of stopping it (masturbation) is because you think it has become a habit for you0„30…2 masturbation is not more than a habit than any other habit.... no matter how wrong you think this is in your mind, get this straight, in itself, it is not a sin against God,'', '"there is nothing wrong with Cigarette, the Bible doesn't say anything was wrong with it... I know a lot of people do complain about it because of the relationship attached to it with some sicknesses like cancer...but if they really believe it is wrong why not ban it totally.
It is the same thing when you have Christians working in the Breweries. The Bible doesn't condemn alcohol. The only reference made to alcohol in the Bible is 'do not take too much of wine'. So you see these things has to do with the individual state...if they are convince something is not good they should just ban it..."
'
.
I'm still pondering what he meant. sad
.
5. Most of their female evangelists dresses are revealing. Since wearing trousers is not a crime for ladies in the religion, it happens that, most time, they wear revealing dresses. I think sth has to be altered here.
.
.
These are few of what our research gave, what do you think?

Facebook is a multi-billion dollar social networking site that smiley (...), well, who doesn't know Facebook? Here are things you probably didn't know:
.
1. Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his room.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MarkZuckerberg.jpg
The young blonde billionaire founded it right in his room!
.
2. It didn't start as a social network. Right back in 2003, it was called FaceMash , used for comparing who's hotter in two students' pictures.
.
3. Mark got expelled from school because of Facebook. After its launched (then FaceMash), for having copyrighted items on site among other charges.
.
4. Mark allegedly deceived his school and students. According to allegation, it was said that, he deceived some students into creating a school's website, rather he made a personal investment.
.
5. 'Harvard connection' to 'The Facebook.' It was supposed to be a school's portal. Mark changed its name from FaceMash to 'TheFacebook,' a supposed 'The Facebook of Harvard.'
.
6. Mark bought a domain. Mark bought the domain name 'facebook.com' in 2005 for $200,000.
.
7. Yahoo's envy. Facebook growth arose envy. Yahoo sued Facebook for reasons know to be irrelevant.
.
8. Bigger companies wanted to buy Facebook. MySpace, MicroSoft, Google etc., all wanted to buy Facebook, Mark resent a big 'NO.'
.
9. Whatsapp was bought. On February 19, 2014 Facebook announced its ownership of WhatsApp Inc., a smartphone instant messaging application for $19 billion in a mix of stock and cash.
.
10. Mark wore cheap clothes. Unlike common million worth singer who would show-case their money on million worth clothes, Mark maintains a casual look, nothing special. Not some kids spending their parent's money coming to tell us they've got thirty billion naira (daddy's money).

.
.
Therefore, you could be great anytime, any day, you just have to start somewhere. Start it up, don't think income yet, it surely will come.

BluntBoy:
Jesus is God:

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh , Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.(1Timothy 3:16) lalasticlala

And He was also man:

Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)

Check the first verse. God was manifested in the flesh (God the Son). Jesus was a manifestation of God in the flesh. He was fully God and yet fully man.
At times when you guys argue, I wonder, how does it sound to you saying that 'God the Son' stuff. I can rightly quote a pope wrong that Trinity is unbiblical, not because I know too much but because, he derailed.

.

Where your problem started was the misconception of 'God, His Son, The Holy Spirit' to 'God the father, The Son, The Holy Spirit' and the fully textual stress of LORD used in place of actual names. The mistaken idea has blinded every verse you read. Who was Jesus praying to in the mountains? If he was 'God the Father,' he needn't have uttered any prayer. But his prayer showed a distinct receiver.

.

I can't change you.

You are confused. Well, they confused you.
BluntBoy:
You are right. It is ambiguous.

What I meant was that Jesus when He came to earth was both God and man. The God aspect was total, unformed, born of God. The human aspect was born of Mary. But the totality of Yahweh can never be man. Man has a beginning and an end. Jesus, the son of Man, had a beginning and an end. But Jesus the God has neither beginning nor end and was not born of Mary but of God the Father.
Sit down and hear yourself out.

So, first thing in the morning is to keep your eyelids closed without putting strain on the eyeball and keep out the noise around. This should take you about 10minutes. PS: Meditation should be in a quiet place and can be done any time, though morning is advisable because that's when the nervous system and organs are at their Zenith.

•Medical check up

Everyone loves a fast-food joint, because it is quicker and easier to get the stomach happy once again. smiley
.

Well, it kills the stress to cooking too, and in a scenario where you have to buy oil for your cooker, buy ingredient to cook, buy time, it seem a bit cheaper, smiley however, is your stomach really worth the compromise? Here are few demerit reasons: sad
.
1. What was the soup prepared with.

.
A large number of people who run fast-food as business are guilty smiley of going extra-ordinary miles to get customers sad inversely, doing the undo. We have had where women use the adulterated water used in cleaning a corpse to cook (as charm). I have actually seen on two occasions, where a woman is arrested for allegedly using human's poo to cook soup. Is this not inhuman? sad Most times, when cooking Egusi soup, they buy a cup of Egusi and another whitish stuff then grind it and mix it with the soup which really look like it's a thick egusi soup, actually we know the fake always look like the original.
.
2. Dirty environment.
.
So far it's business, they major aim is making money, at times, their environment where they cook might be no different from a public toilet. Who cares better, then? sad At times, when you enter their kitchen (which is usually prohibited), what you see would clear your doubts that maybe, this is where maggots are created.
.
3. Insults. Insults flow like like electric current here waiting for the vulnerable to devour.
.
4. Responsibility. In Nigeria, when a child is seen eating in a restaurant, it is irresponsibility. When an elderly man is seen too, people wonder: 'what about his wife.' Taking responsibility is the best thing that can ever happen to a parenthood, where the husband doesn't look outside for anything and the children alike..
.
5. Health. There was this day I ate in a fast--food joint. The food was super delicious smiley. I requested for another plate and ate it greedily, wow, my stomach was no longer like a punctured tube, in fact, the basketball got jealous. As I was heading home, my arse began to gossip (oh fada of the heavens! sad). It gossiped, then erosion took place in my stomach.
sad sad sad
I ran to a nearby bush to observe nature's call and before I bent down, there was already a downpour. (Judas should have sold people like the cook sad ) It didn't stop there, my stomach would be interpreting Arabic to Swahili that at times I turn back checking if people are behind. Is this not the sign of the last days? sad This is not good. At times, the food they good are detrimental to health, and may send you keeping the doctor coming always.
.
.
Tips: Cook whatever you eat so you'll know where your problem comes from.

BluntBoy:
God defines the totality of Yahweh. Jesus is God the Son, but not the totality of Yahweh. There is God the father and God the Holy Spirit. These three are the totality of Yahweh. Yahweh is God of the universe who has manifested as a son (the sacrificial lamb) and a Comforter (the Holy Spirit) By calling Mary the Mother of God, you are rubbishing the fact that Yahweh has no beginning or end. Mary was a vessel. She herself needed to be saved.

"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May your word to me be fulfilled." Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:38)

And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (Luke 1:47)
'God the son, God the father...' was not the idea of the original bible manuscripts. The translators translated wrongly, most times, translating figurative words as word-to-word meaning. It actually was 'God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.' Catholic translators translated the bible based on their beliefs to suit what they say. How is 'Mary, God's mother?'
.
What about the forever virgin Mary? What about the graven images commemorating dead saints? Don't think I don't know what I say, I was born a Catholic and I know all their false worships.

There are many parts of the scriptures that also suggest jesus isn't God. Anyway that is by the way.

let us assume now that Jesus is God, Mary gave birth to jesus when he wanted to visit earth.

Jesus = God
Mary = His Mother

How so does the OP think it's wrong to ascribe the title theotokos (Mother of God) to Mary?
The argument started when bible translators called Jesus as Lord, and also referred to his father as LORD hiding his real name. Jesus is not God. Jesus is the Son of God. I can rightly say many wrong beliefs came from Catholicism. I was a catholic and there exist no beliefs I am not aware of.

I was brought up a jw, I've always been the curious type. I am not the type that just takes things without researching deeply into it.

I started noticing a lot of thing so wrong when I was a teenager.

1- when you don't go out to preach you are viewed as not spiritually strong.

what is the purpose of Jesus death? Did he die on the cross so we preach about the gospel or so we can have everlasting life? cos the way JW place so much importance in house to house felt like it was all Jesus died for. So we go out and make disciples of people of all the nations. Oh, Jesus would be proud then. "I died so you move house to house to spread the gospel" wow, great.

2) no matter what they say to cover up, it is strictly forbidden to have any other religion materials apart from JW. You are not even to have it. I took a friend's church brochure, the topics sounded interesting, so I took it home to learn more. All hell broke loose. It resulted in me returning the book the next day.

what is wrong if I accept someone's material to possibly learn more about God? What is the Jw afraid for? that its member would go astray? But they say they teach the truth but why are they scared to let it's members broaden their knowledge, contrasts informations and know the truth ?

3) When I started asking questions, telling them my findings, digging deeper they started calling me apostate.

Jesus never called anybody apostate. When the pharisees questioned his source of power to perform miracles, he didn't called them apostate, none did he shunned anybody. And is it biblical? Where was it stated in the Bible to shun people who question you? If they teach the truth why are they afraid of giving answers?

4) Jesus said you should baptized in the name of the Father, son and holy Spirit. When you are being baptized as a Jw, you are asked if you know that your baptism signifies you as a member of Jehovah witness

where did the Bible make mentioned that baptism signifies one as a member of a religion? Is it scriptural? Doesn't it sounds like you are getting baptized into a religion not to God? Why should my baptism identify me as being a member to Jw? Is it the religion I am getting baptized to or to God? I find that part offensive hence my reason of not getting baptized as a JW

These and so many questions I have but they won't answer. Since I can not leave well I'm stuck. In fact I wrote all my questions down, when they saw I wasn't giving up they stopped answering me.

I stopped believing in religion a long time ago. I think God would not choose one religion from the other cos no religion is right in the eyes of God.

We should do Good for the motherless and fatherless, give to the needy and obey his commandments. That's the only true religion.

the rests are doctrines of men, twisted to make it look like it's the truth
I too lived my young life a JW, I feel your outcry. However, what sorted out my inquisitiveness was the character my uncles portrayed. Their good character was like a suit they wore outside to impress onlookers and took off when they got home. However 'the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit' seem more of Trinity which is unbiblical as how it is viewed today. Moreover, the bringing in of another religion's brochure into a JW family and they prohibiting it is not supposed to be so. I was born inquisitive and a researcher. I love to know new things, so they hindering that gift for 'personal dogma' isa absurd thinking it would change the mind pattern, not knowing some just want to compare and contrast.

The Angels are not the Holy Spirit. No being has ever seen the Holy Spirit, that which I could say human behold was that of the Dove that landed on Jesus during His baptism. And the Dove symbolizes peace.

And did you not read the Books of Isaiah at all, the beginning of the Book of Psalms, even the whole Old Testament? The Word was sent; He is unity in trinity! The Father, The Word, which is the Son, and the Holy Ghost; One Substance! One God!

Go read the lost books, arcane and apocryphal books, get out of that house of clay, you are a being of power, act like a god you are, search for answers in other planes!

The Roman Catholic church has grown in a way that, in many lands, it is known. Here are few dos and doctrines of catholicism:
.
1. Performing signs of worship to/by use of graven images. The Bible forewarned us about creating any image used as, for worship. Exodus 20:4-5 completely made it clear to us to steer clear of graven images.
.
2. Baptizing at infantry, and method of baptism. The verge of sin, in Catholicism goes so far as baptizing at infantry. Is this in accordance with the bible? Last time I checked, Jesus was baptized at adult age when he could rightly make a choice. Catholics sprinkle water on the candidate for baptism and it's thereby stated baptism.
.
3. The reverend class doesn't marry or have sexual relation with the opposite sex. A friend of mine would always say: 'Reverend fathers are always said to be clean when their tool hasn't been detached.' smiley Truth has it that, in a hundred percent flock -- a couple I know of -- have dealings behind closed doors with the opposite sex (nuns) and some go homosexual. The remaining about fourth percent have to 'act' holy all their life. We all know, no man is righteous so far sin has already come to stay and imperfection is already getting a family of polygamy.
.
4. Forever-virgin Mary, the 'mother of God'. Mary was a virgin afore Jesus' birth, that's true. However, Mary did bear other children, how then is 'virgin' attributed to her?
.
- The worship of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the use of the term, "Mother of God", as applied to her, originated in the Council of Ephesus and is pagan.
.
5. Heresies.
- Veneration of angels and dead saints is practised by Catholics. The Bible teaches that we pray to God alone. In the primitive church never were primitive directed to Mary, or to dead saints. This practice began in the Roman Catholic Church.
- Worship of the cross, images and relics was authorized and this was by order of Dowager Empress Irene of Constantinople, who first caused to pluck the eyes of her own son, Constantine VI, and then called a church council at the request of Hadrian I, pope of Rome at that time.
Such practice is called simply IDOLATRY in the Bible, and is severely condemned.
- Holy Water, mixed with a pinch of salt and blessed by the priest, was authorized.
- Canonization of dead saints, first by Pope John XV
Every believer and follower of Christ is called saint in the Bible im Catholicism.
- The Rossary, or prayer beads was introduced by Peter the Hermit, in the year 1090. Copied from Hindus and Mohammedans
The counting of prayers is a pagan practice and is expressly condemned by Christ. (Matthew 6:5-13)
- Confession of sin to the priest at least once a year was instituted by Pope Innocent III., in the Lateran Council
The Bible commands us to confess our sins direct to God. (Read Psalm 51:1-10; Luke 7:48; 15:21; 1st John 1:8-9).
.
6. Trinity. 'God the father, God the son, God the Holy spirit.' Simple explanation: if God was the Son, then who was Jesus praying to? If he were all in one, he never needed to pray to a distant entity, did he?' If God were the Holy Spirit, well, those angels who saw pretty women on Earth and came down wouldn't have been punished so far it was still one body, would they? smiley Jesus always said he was sent by the Father to Earth, that shows a gap. The Holy Spirit is God's special force.

.
.
Let's take a pause... These are just few, more coming for other beliefs. Do follow us. Well, what is your say on this topic?

They are not Christians. You won't understand.
Sure, he wouldn't understand what you don't understand.

We shouldn't condemn anyone because if their beliefs.

Dear man, rather than taking sides against the complainant and siding your Christian sibling (even as you don't care if they are wrong or right), try as much as possible to see that most attitudes are causes of imperfection. We all make mistakes. The religion is good, most witnesses' outward judgement of it is opposite good.

Some are nice actually but there's this particular one in my house very rude, proud, manner less i wonder what she preach to pple
The illiterate ones are always like that. Travel abroad, you will see that others are like servants to you. I have uncles of these sorts that think they have got a trademark of heaven. What did I do? I did not blame it on religion but self assumptions and unletteredness..

An elder, afore or now, will not write 'is a pure lies.'
Schoolala:
believe me this write up is a pure lies . have been a baptis publisher as a jw for ten good years.
I was even an elder in my congregation but the thing most jw fail to understand is that this jw group use brain wash techniques on his followers. yes they are any things they teach that is true but most of there doctrine are pure man made nonsense and false. and even the blood they claim they don't use to give out to a dien family member day have made several changes on that many times. they also once celebrated Christmas and birthday. just do your research well about this organization you will notice alot of hypocrisy ND changes of doctrine to suit them self.
Their elders are well-trained in the Theocractic School in the use of English language that an average elder could only make mistakes on collocation.
Just saying though.
