Maverick777: The fact that I criticized the movie unprovoked, should tell you I'm a firm critic, I strive for perfection... So, if the same me tells you that some Naija film-makers make excellent movies, take it with a bag of salt! Sorry bro. I can't take it with a bag of salt. If there was anything less than a pinch of salt, that's how I will take it. You had already generalised earlier that once Netflix is involved, the film is a go and we have seen how this film doesn't prove that case. Maybe your definition of what makes an "excellent movie" is different from mine but for you it's all about how a "Naija movie scene saved me from something hooge...", "Most of NAIJA contents are real life stories that actually happened..." and stuff like "I don't live abroad, apart from sci-fi, I don't see any reason to watch any other foreign movie". If that's what makes a movie excellent for you, then we aren't on the same page |

Maverick777: Well I do, i'm not stereotypical... call me old school or 'woman', no p. you'd struggle to find a more intelligent person around.. In fact, in my house, I only have to be away before you can watch anything else! Here's why, I rather watch stuff I can relate to, i just need to find one with very good content not your regular 'Asaba' movie oh.. Most of NAIJA contents are real life stories that actually happened... I can't start to tell you how something I saw from a Naija movie scene saved me from something hooge...! I don't live abroad, apart from sci-fi, I don't see any reason to watch any other foreign movie And Yes. We've good competent trained producers here, the ones that Netflix beg to buy their works. From the opening by the OP, the glamour girls film is a Netflix film and yet you can't vouch for the quality of the film. Every comment on the film has been negative. Whether you live abroad or in Nigeria isn't the issue. Whether "Most of NAIJA contents are real life stories that actually happened..." or not isn't the issue. The issue is how is the story told? That's what a makes a great film...how the story is told. Not whether it is fiction or real life |

They should stop remaking classic since they have nothing good to deliver. All the remakes so far have been poor from:

Maverick777: Okay, I actually saw it last night(not that I was expecting anything exceptional after blood sisters, I just needed to unwind) Now, my take is this, these new found competition from film-makers to go for a remake of classics rather than go for your own unique story is sickening! That, one person was able to do it to perfection, doesn't mean y'all can. The problem of Nigerians is that we don't think outside the box, always trying to copy what's trending.. I for one, happened to have watched the 'original' movie back then, alongside so many others that were remade, ranging from, Blood sisters, Rattle snake, Nneka the serpent, Living in bondage et all.. For me, the only remake that made it was, living in bondage, and that's solely because the actual movie actual begged for a sequel and he(R.N.J) got a few of the cast from way back alongside! Times have changed, this new breed can never go close to what the likes of ego boyo did then(little wonder she flared up) neither can they relate to what even inspired the movie, they can only read script but can never match the emotion...
That cast could've faired extremely better in a story relating to present day, I can bet my life on that. movie was trash!
My $100.30cents
. I de hail una wey get power to de watch Nigerian films. Can't imagine myself by myself going by myself to watch nigerian films except I come your house meet you watching it. Fact is, Nollywood directors, producers and actors have nothing to offer. They are just privileged to have access to resources for making movies hence they are so lazy in thinking up original ideas different from the norm. I can confidently say most if not all don't have the needed training in story telling and in bringing stories to life which you can only get from learning how to be an actor in a university |

I hope Uk sees reason to drop the case or most reffered to the originating country where the bulk of the allegation took place.
However, shame to the IPOB Labour party supporters for celebrating too early.

Furthermore if the UK law requires no financial inducement, where is the evidence the sanator paid or promised to pay the donor? I don't think any such has been proved. According to FFK, A couple have a sick child in a foreign hospital. They needed and asked for your help. You volunteered to donate one of your kidneys to their daughter so she could live. You were well paid for this purpose. The last sentence above is informative |

What is important is that he completed his university education and the two schools he attended have both publicly confirmed that he indeed attended and graduated from the schools. Then what's the need for this unnecessary contradiction as pointed out by thinkam? baba couldn't complete secondary and primary school due to poverty. But surprisingly could afford to travel overseas.
I thought basic education was free and encouraged in West due to Awolowo, how come Tinubu wasn't a beneficiary?
It was also speculated, Tinubu mother was a rich slave trader and business woman , how come she couldn't finance her child basic education? |

SarkinYarki: Yes even if you are 50 years old ..The UK completely frowns at organ donation that is procured by any means of inducement.. Here is how it goes :
UK only allows organ donation through altruistic means , people donate organs without knowing who the organ is going to, to get the organ you have to join a waiting list ( today that list is over 8000)
If you can't wait for the list the only other way to get the organ is a donation from a blood relative .
If that fails and you see you find a non blood relative that can help you , the govt has to make sure the donation is altruistic:
Meaning : No material or financial inducement of any kind , the donation must no be a payment for debt paid or favour owed ..It must be from a place of pure altruism. I agree with you absolutely. When dealings about organ donation involves money, it then it becomes something else. Based on your write up, the ekwerenmadus are done for |

My point is INEC can disqualify him if they are not satisfied with what he has given them Otherwise disgruntled elements or parties like you can go to court. Those are the only options.
All this noise being made by folk like you is actually helpful to Tinubu because it distracts from the real problems with him and focuses attention on irrelevant issues with a predictable outcome Kai...I don't see the correlation between what you have just typed and all you have been arguing previously |
