emöfine2: Maclatunji

But shouldn't something that's allegedly divine be neutral and not partial? undecided

Logicboy abi?

It's not a veiled attempt at criticizing Islam I was overtly offering a critical opinion about a component of Islam.
Whatever it is, abeg dont accuse me of derailing your thread because Maclatunji (AKA the MACdaddy) is ready to ban me again. The guy has already accused me on a thread in which I was peacefully discussing with another muslim. sad

Back to the topic, Maclatunji's point on something being natural is clearly wrong. Who says two women and two men can not live in harmony for the rest of their lives? Furthermore, a hermaphrodite is both man and woman- from this, male-female companionship is not the only natural order in companionship that exists.
IslamRe: Houris: Her Role As His Reward? by Cheers01: 11:20am On Jun 27, 2012
Maclatunji, why the dislike for me?

Second time you have accused me of derailing. Wrongly, I might add
IslamRe: Houris: Her Role As His Reward? by Cheers01: 11:18am On Jun 27, 2012
maclatunji: And I can tell you of a lioness who never ate meat. Those are exceptions not the rules. Don't derail this thread, that was an analogy.
Every rule has an exception. That is a fact. Use a better analogy and dont bend biology/science.

What would I gain from derailing a thread that is a veiled attempt at criticizing Islam (about Jannah)?
IslamRe: Have You Ever Been Persecuted In Real Life? by Cheers01: 11:14am On Jun 27, 2012
maclatunji: Dude, you are derailing this thread- stay a respectful distance away from it and stop derailing.
Sorry.

However, did Fellis complain to you? I believe that we were having a discussion even if it was off topic.
IslamRe: Have You Ever Been Persecuted In Real Life? by Cheers01: 11:13pm On Jun 26, 2012
fellis: See, my life is not all about logic, logic, logic. I like logic, don't get me wrong, but I also consider things relating to spiritual realm/non-logic.
Then why islam? You're already a skeptic!

Anyways, I'm not going to convert you. I dont do reverse Dawah. grin grin grin

Just ask yourself, if it isnt bigotry that I cant get married to my muslim girlfriend according to the Quran. Search for the truth.

Ptolomeus: I know very little about Islam.
In these latitudes little known, but I heard some Islamic conceptions of God that seduce me more than the Catholic God and the Christian view of Jesus ..
About sex ... I do not think that is more stringent than the Orthodox or Catholic?
I really do not share the sexual repression. I do not think something healthy, and I do not think any God ordered it.

fellis: My story is not fiction . . sad

If I wanted to explain things regarding religion to you, I would have to quote verses from the Qur'an to do that and you do not believe in the Qur'an so I don't see how doing so will help matters. Secondly when I am explaining the reason why we do some things to you, I will state that it is simply cos we have been directed to do so in the Qur'an, then you will start your long argument about how the laws are not logical and how they do not work in this day and time, then I will tell you that Allah's laws always work in any place and time, then you will probably start inserting different links from different websites to provide 'evidence' that they do not work, but I would have already gotten bored of the whole thing by then and would start regreting starting the discussion in the first place. sad
Preemptive thinking.....I like that. Saves us the trouble. However, by your comment you are accepting that somethings you do as muslims are illogical and only do it because you are ordered by Koran/hadith/Sharia

fellis: cry crySo the third case I want to write on involves one of my friends.
She went to seek a job at a supermarket and the summary of the conversation between her and the employee went something like this:

Employee: Good afternoon.

My friend: Good afternoon.

Employee: So you want to work here?

My friend: Yes, I would really love to.

Employee: What is your name?

My friend: Fauziya

Employee: Are you a muslim?

My friend: Yes.

Employee: Sorry, we cannot employ Muslims here.

My friend: Why?

Employee: Because you are a Muslim.

And just like that, the girl lost the job opportunity. Wasn't employed, not because she was not qualified or for any other reason other than religion.

cry
Yawn. sad

Boring story. Probably fiction. Come on.....we need sadder stories. Crying wins grammies!

So logicboy, you are the one that was starting those different topics about whether Islam is for the poor and wht happens when a Muslim enters a gay community? lol.
I don't see the point in banning one of your usernames when you can easily use your other account to post.

@your post; Logicboy all these your stories about your Muslim girlfriends dey make person fear. How many Muslim girlfriends have you had exactly? huh huh

And biko, start another thread to complain about your issues. This one is for Muslims, kwanu?
No vex, I am a cheerful giver. I like to tell my stories.

As for muslim girlfriends, I have had only two. grin

As for my different topics, why are you avoiding them?
IslamRe: Houris: Her Role As His Reward? by Cheers01: 9:42pm On Jun 26, 2012
maclatunji: On the contrary, some rules are natural. To seek to reverse them would be disastrous. For example, herbivores feed on plants and carnivores feed on them. To seek to reverse the status quo because you feel cheated would mean disaster for the ecosystem. Omnivores help to maintain balance.

Since, we have been created in two genders, it is natural that one of the sexes must be dominant or lead if you like. Nature abhors vacuum. Any proper religion has to acknowledge this and establish a firm basis for the relationship to work and thrive. I know where you are coming from but inasmuch as religion must challenge some negative things, it cannot be completely alien to man.
I wonder what your definition of natural is. Dogs are carnivorous in the wild. We made them omnivorous by taming them and giving them a variety of food. Nothing wrong with the ecosystem there.

What about hermaphrodites? Have you ever questioned their existence?
IslamRe: Have You Ever Been Persecuted In Real Life? by Cheers01: 9:09pm On Jun 26, 2012

IslamRe: Have You Ever Been Persecuted In Real Life? by Cheers01: 9:08pm On Jun 26, 2012
Lol......as an atheist I can talk about my own persecution from muslims.

I had a muslim girlfriend. Unfortunately, the Quran in its infinite wisdom forbids a muslim woman from marrying an atheist.

Persecution 1;
Her cousin and brother found out that their sister was dating a guy. We all met one night when there was a party at her house. They were using style to check if I was a muslim because I did not have a beard and seemed to be the party type. After failing to even understand basic arabic terms, I lied that part of my family in Nigeria was muslim and I am a muslim but did not get to learn much since I moved away from Nigeria to the UK at an early age. They were Indian-British and so they didnt know much about Nigeria and had to accept my lie. I was now a muslim. Thinking that I was weak in faith, her foolish cousin was texting me Islamic things to renew my "faith". Had I not said that I was from a muslim family at that party, hell would have broken loose. The brother was quite angry in his questions even though he was trying to be cool.

Persecution 2;
My halal butchers. My Muslim Pakistani butchers whom I buy meat from always try to toast black girls, even my Nigerian sisters and friends who are christian. The first day I brought my muslim girlfriend, I could see the anger in their faces. They were asking her JAMB questions. They spoke urdu but she told them she was indian and then they were using some arabic terms. Kaffir is what they referred to me as. My butchers have always been friendly to me up till then.

Persecution 3;
Muslim cab driver and I are chatting very well about guy stuff until I told him that I had a muslim girlfriend. The Cabbie slammed the brakes so fast, I thought that I would die. The guy didnt talk to me throughout the journey.

Ironic thing about all of this was that I was losing faith in Christianity at the time and was interested in Islam. However, Allah must work in mysterious ways because the Islamic bigotry I received put me back on the path to atheism (and was finally converted to an atheist by a drunkard)

My sad story had a happy ending afterall....I love being an atheist!
IslamRe: Quranic Miracle: Imamate And Numerology by Cheers01: 12:37pm On Jun 26, 2012
LagosShia: logicboy,

for future reference let me post the below link of the thread you are being exposed:
https://www.nairaland.com/961370/when-simple-maths-trick-stop

it does not look like you even debunked tbaba and vedaxcool.i saw you could only come up with 10 chapters numbered from 1-10.even so,the argument there continues.please next time so that you sound credible do not make claims that everyone cannot observe.

the miraculous aspect in what tbaba presented is not the impossibility to use 5 days to come up with a smaller replica of 10 presumed chapters with their odd and even balance.it is coming up with 114 chapters with such a balance and doing that 1400 years ago, where even books in one piece did not exist.also these patterns existing in the Quran for you to ponder upon are numerous.
Look, as a former christian, numerology is something we have thrown away in christiany. Been there, done that. Numerology is just a feeble attempt to justify the claim of the divine nature of holy books.

What if the people who numbered the koran had a reason to number the chapters and verses in a particular way? Furthermore, the fact that some chapters/verses are no more in the Quran renders most of your numerology wrong.
IslamRe: Why Do Nigerian Christians Hate Islam??? by Cheers01: 12:33pm On Jun 26, 2012
vedaxcool: Liar for godlessness, yeah I looked closely and it seem to be with the picture, but I still have my doubts, maybe there are indeed muslims, who carried such nonsense or maybe ey could aheists or Christians who infiltrated the demo, we can not be certain since the cowards did not have the boldness to show their face. The fact that one hand wrote all the rubbish remain something strange. Any how, their views are their views alone.
Nobody that is sensible will argue that the people in the pictures represent ALL muslims. They dont even represent 2 percent of muslims.

However, to try and deny that they are not muslims is deceitful and wrong on your part.

IslamRe: Where Are The Threads On The Muslim Brotherhood & Egyptian Election Results?!!! by Cheers01(op): 9:46am On Jun 26, 2012
maclatunji: I don't know what you are talking about. There's a thread on front page already though.
Huh? You dont know what I'm talking about? Did a taqiyya memo go around yesterday? Vedaxcool was denying an obvious Islamic picture while LagosShia was acting funny about the satanic verses.

There are no threads on the fact that a Muslim Brotherhood candidate won the Egyptian elections in the Islam section. This bothered me because it has been the major topic for the past week. Isreal and the West are concerned with the election results and what it could mean for the Islamization of Egypt, the coptic christian and relationship with Isreal.
IslamRe: Why Do Nigerian Christians Hate Islam??? by Cheers01: 12:32am On Jun 26, 2012
thehomer: Honestly it becomes clearer and clearer that you're just a liar for Mohammed.
Is it possible that the picture in that article was taken from that same protest? And please tell me if the person in the article is a Muslim or just an atheist masquerading as a Muslim.
Finally, if you look closely at all the placards in the image mazaje posted, you can actually see part of that placard. Take another look at the picture below and note the poster in the red circle.
Do you still maintain that they're not Muslims?
Nice Job exposing Vedaxcool the Taqiyya liar!

2good: Why do you think i dont know Hugo Chavez and world history and geography? Also do you think they have to teach us South American history in Africa for me to know about Chavez and Venuzuela?
I used Russian as an analogy to let you understand what Hugo Chavez can do if he has the power to. Do you think Hugo Chavez will not be having some kind of cold war with the US if they have close to the level of Nukes the Russians have?
Why did the Americans criticise Chavez, Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein etc while the man that committed one of the greatest atrocity in human history was called 'Uncle Joe' by both the British and Americans? Chavez have limited powers that is why he has not been so aggressive against the US.
Stop looking at history from a USA point of view. Most people with Nukes do not want to use them. Are the USA or Japan or Pakistan more moral than Venezuala to have nukes?
IslamRe: Quranic Miracle: Imamate And Numerology by Cheers01: 11:56pm On Jun 24, 2012
LagosShia: no.

there are no versions of the Quran.there are translations.and even if the Quran is arranged in chronological order and not in recitation order starting with al-Fatiha,the number of words and verses in the Quran does not change.

besides,i only cited tbaba's thread to give a clear idea based on what i am talking.it is not meant to discuss tbaba's thread.
Why are you lying about your religion? I give up. Information on satatnic verses is all over the internet. It is even well referenced on wikipedia, yet you lie.

While I am not sure about the numbering of the Quran, I would not be surprised if you're lying about it. I will find out.

Taqiyya is a shameful thing when Dawah is concerned.
IslamRe: What Happens When A Muslim Is In A Gay Community? by Cheers01(op): 11:41pm On Jun 24, 2012
deols: logic now cheers?

you seem to love ur GF so much that hardly do u make a post without talking bout her. She must be really something undecided

about the hijab wearing lady working among gays, I see nothing wrong with that. If she was working in a gay business, that would av bn wrong. co-workers can be likened to neighbours and Islam teaches that we treat them well. their personal business is theirs especially when they dont interfere with our lives.
So, Sharia law is docile to gays?

Why dont I believe you?
IslamRe: Quranic Miracle: Imamate And Numerology by Cheers01: 5:32pm On Jun 24, 2012
LagosShia: you are really funny.i thought you got some intellectually sound trick or challenge to make.

i didn't expect you can be this ridiculous.

first,i believe in Quranic verses and not satanic verses.

secondly,i am Shia and in all our books of hadiths, the so called "satanic verses" known as "hadith al-gharaniq" is not found.it is only found in a sunni hadith book.

thirdly, sunnis themselves reject the hadith al-gharaniq.

fourthly,i'd present you with the analysis of a high ranking Shia scholar who examined that Sunni hadith and found it to be internally and externally contradictory and therefore false.

here:

(please see question 43 in the below link;scroll down on the left bar)

43. What is the Myth of Gharaniq or ‘The Satanic Verses’?
http://www.al-islam.org/180_questions_vol2/
From what I read, the satanic verses were once in the Quran. Is that not true?

Also, I have read that different versions of the Quran have different numbering systems. Is that not true?
IslamRe: Quranic Miracle: Imamate And Numerology by Cheers01: 4:53pm On Jun 24, 2012
LagosShia: this is a big claim you have made which you are bound to fail.

but please do show me.

you can also prove to me that when the verses were being revealed and the words memorized and written,Muhammad (sa) was taking stock of how many times so many times appear and also writing codes on how to reveal certain verses and multiply them in a particular fashion.hmmmm.....wait a minute!!!! may Muhammad (sa) had a computer in the 7th century? that could be the reason for these "coincidences".but wait, isn't having a computer in the 7th century another miracle? or may Muhammad (sa) was just the best genius humanity have ever known?

please you really need to show me!!!i'm totally lost and confused!
We are making the assumptions that the number of verses in the koran in Tbaba's computation is correct. What about the satanic verses? Were they added?

Have you personally counted the number of times that "days" are written in the Koran? Were words from the satanic verses used?

Sorry but, a skeptic always finds it hard to believe miracles
