South South and South East refused to turn out and lost about 4 million votes when compared to their turn out of 2011. From 11 million votes in these two zones in 2011 to 7 million votes in 2015.

South East lost 2.5 million votes from 2011 voters.
South South lost 1.4 million votes from 2011 voters. Buhari won by just 2.57 million.



Even in Joanthan's home state, the votes for PDP dropped from 505,811 in 2011 to 361,209 in 2015. Buhari's votes increased from 691 to 5,194. Same across the whole of S/S and S/E. People were just tired of the way PDP were handling the country

GEJ didn't do anything for the real South (SE/SS) and that vexed southerners about him.despite his fückups,we still gave him our support though the vexed South decided to give him 60% instead of 100% we gave him last time. the remains were pocketed rather than let buhari have it.

HausaFulanis have taken back power, and their sidekick the yorubas are happy. but it all serves nigeria right. ndigbo have shown Jonathan much love by standing by him to the last. if we had got even a quarter of that love from the ijaws and other waterside people during the Biafra war then the whole of our regions would have been liberated from northern backwardness. having said that, I thank ndigbo for proving once more to the south south that in nigeria they've got only one big brother who loved them more than they loved themselves. and I hope that this love will from henceforth be returned from generation to generation

(a) there land mass is toooo small, smallest amongst othere zone to have an adittional sate.

Personally as an Anambra guy,I would like Anioma state created and that they be joined as the 6th Igbo state. However, Im not sure if the politics of of Oil will make them want to leave the south-South. I have heard that there are huge deposits of oil in Delta-Igbo territories like Oshimili anyway so they have nothing to worry about.
