@Probz, how do you mean that Ukwuani are culturally edoid? Which Ukwuani clan or community have you visited? Name one edoid characteristics in language, culture, government, etc. The most distinguishing feature of the Edos is their monarchical system of government. However, 95% of Ukwuani clans are republican and without kings till date. ,maybe you are among those who read some dishonest posts that the Ukwuani came from Benin. But who comes from Benin and uses Igbo to name himself or his location!
This is a question cire80, ehikwe nor gerg has been unable to answer...all they do is beat about the bush on how Igbos came in large numbers and made them pray in a strange tongue undecided

Btwn 1970 and 2000 we identified with Nigeria what did it fetch ushuh
Oppression, suppression, dismemberment of our territories and once in a while massacres by either islamofascists in the North or Fulani herdsmen here in the South.

Now we've decided to identify with the independence of Igboland and that's that!!

[s]Just open the politics section of this forum and all you see is Igbo this, Igbo that, and they are always complaining of one thing or the other.

Out of over 250 ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, we have to keep talking about you, ALL of the time.

Hmmmm... Maybe the Itshekiri, the Angas, the Tehl, the Urhobos, and the hundreds of other minority tribes should storm this forum and tell us what they want and why they haven't produced the President of the this country since independence.

Nigeria belongs to all of us and not just the major tribes[/s].
When someone sees your submission, he'd think you're passionate about equity...not knowing you're only talking bkos you feel your ethnic nationality's position has improved considerably undecided

When Boro declared his rebellion in Feb 1966, his NDR was just the Rukwo provinces of Western Ijo, Yenagwa and Degema. There was no urhobo nor itsekiri among his ranks as they belonged to either the NCNC(urhobo) or AG(itsekiri)

That's why I see as being foolish any SSner who's not Rukwo claiming to be Niger Delta

kjhova:
My brother,

As you said you have been away from the country for a while, I'd cut you some slack and go easy on you.

Mr. Ayo Adebanjo is an elder. That he is a statesman is presently debatable as he has aligned with the minority opinion in Yoruba consciousness for some years now. I don't think he is in the position to speak on behalf of more than 40million Yorubas at home and in diaspora.

To your quote that Nigeria "is the worst nation under God", that is so untrue and loaded with your personal bitterness towards the nation. What is the parameters with which you adjudge this country as the worst? Is it economics or human capital index?

I know that this same rhetoric has been mouthed by Daniel Kanu and his IPOB gang of loosers whom you suggested have some reasonable sense to their cause. To me, IPOB is a hate group and has no reason to its cause. They also resort to fake history to justify their cause by suggesting a Jewish link to the Igbo people and by drafting many other ethnicities into their proposed Biafran project.

Should Yorubas and/or other ethnic groups sue for independence in the future, it will not be heralded by opportunists like Mr. Adebanjo else it is DOA.

Agitation for self determination, be it for Igbos, Yorubas or any other ethnicity, stands better chance of success if spearheaded by reasonable and sound minds and if themed on mutual understanding and common sense. All these hate from IPOB can only lead to a self destructive war at the end of which Nigeria may still remain one country again, to the damnation of the innocent dead while Kanu hauls ass to Cote d'Ivoire like one bearded guy did in 1970!
After trying to sound reasonable, you still ended up showing your hatred for the Great Igbo nation
