How Chukwudi Oweniwe killed his Yoruba girlfriend in Ondo State – 22-year-old Ondo Poly student By Abiodun Badejo on August 25, 2016 Daily Post A twenty-two year-old Student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) in Ondo State, Chukwudi Oweniwe has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Miss Nifemi Adeyeye in a bush at Ilu-Abo, in Akure North local government area of Ondo State early this month.
Chukwudi and Nifemi were both Part-Time students of the department of Science and Laboratory Technology (SLT).
The suspect, who lives in Ayede-Ogbese was said to have invited the deceased to his place from their school and subsequently lured her into a bush in Ilu-Abo and killed her.
He was alleged to have performed some ritual activities on her late girlfriend.
However, when Chukwudi was speaking with reporters at the police command in Akure, the state capital when he was being paraded, he confessed to the crime but denied using the lady for ritual.
He narrated how he killed the lady saying “I invited her from Owo to Akure and after introducing her to my parents, I lured her into a bush and strangled her, leaving her body in the bush.
“On the second day, I asked a commercial motorcycle rider to take me to the bush where I left her; I observed that she was not dead and I used a stoned to hit her head and she died immediately.
“My parents became curious when they did not see her and I was arrested by Police in Ayede Ogbese and from there, they transferred me to anti-cultism in Akure”.
When asked why he killed her girlfriend, Chukwudi said he did not know the spirit that came on him and that it was when he killed her that he realised that he had committed a sin.
He also denied being a cultist.
He said they had been dating since February this year and that she had never cheated on her.
The State Police commissioner, Mrs. Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison said Nifemi’s remains were recovered in the bush by men of the Special Anti-cultism squad.
She said the police were still investigating the matter to unravel the suspect’s action. Is that all you can do? |

Unfortunately up until this morning, hundreds of buses are still dropping people all over south west and returning back to the east almost empty. Hao! Hao!! Hao!!! This is the kinda of things I wanna see....the synergy btwn the youth and the gerontocrats of Igboland. Nwodo looks very promising, and I urge him to reach out to our diaspora... We've the largest diaspora by ethnicity among blacks(up to 10million Igbos are outside Nigeria) and tapping into the potentials of the Diaspora would give Igboland the much needed boost we need. Also, I urge him to establish an Ohaneze military wing that'd be funded by the diaspora.. This wing would ensure that the 120 LGs that make up Igboland are free from the activities of unscrupulous elements |

Muslims, Hindus, Atheist and Christians are humans and should be respected for their views and believes.
I hope this antagonistic stance towards a particular religion doesn't breed more hatred towards the US.
I think the US would find a way to make things right Its the reasoning of Christians like you that exposes other Christians to harm |

What special achievements have the eastern people achieved that would make one ally with them? Just legodu ese I nājum? If not for the intervention of the East, do you think the Midwest region would've been created by 1963 You're truly ignorant of history... Moreover thank God you said Anambra kos the problem Anioma has with Anambra is the same Imo, Abia, Enugwu, Ebonyi and Rivers all have with Anambra. They tend to feel they're superior to the other Igbo states. Oko, alienating Anioma from the other Igbo states won't help us...to be frank with you |

Aba specifically Whatever Anambra people call isn't my biz after all na them get their mouth Am building a consensus on this Anioma issue among Easterners... So just watch and see. Moreover its people like yours that prevented ohaneze from submitting Anioma along with Abia and Enugwu to IBB as states to be created in '91. Now we're trying to erase that mentality but nonentities like you are trying hard to reinforce that image with the possible consequences it'd have on our working together with the Easterners to achieve our common goals People like you never learn from history |

The joke is actually on you as there are only two types of people who want an Anioma State that would be with the South East. 1. Confused tribalists like you 2. Those who want political power and think such an arrangement would help them.
The vast majority of Ika and Ndokwa people would rather remain in the South South. Good luck with your deranged mission that would never be actualized.

Anioma state would've three senatorial zones viz enuani, ika and ukwuani with zone HQs at asaba, agbo and abo respectively but the state capital should remain at asaba for certain geopolitical and socioeconomic reasons |
Politics › Re: Largest Ethnic Group In Southern Nigeria? by cheruv: 10:50pm On Jan 26, 2017 |
Probz: [s]They need to be careful carving out Anioma state, though. As I said in the thread I started, my understanding's that Ikas and Ukwuanis are only lumped in with the real Aniomas/Delta Igbos (Enuanis) for political reasons. There's a reason most of the so-called "Igbo" denial comes from that Bendel region[/s]. Its Easterners like that cause issues for Igbos West of the Niger. Aside Anioma state, which state do you recommend?? Njaba? Aba? Adada? Which other stupid name have I heard again from our immature kinsmen?? See... Rather than creating Aba state, Abia state should try and retrieve obigbo that was ceded in 1976....ditto for Imo state that wants creation of njaba state, they should fight to ensure that egbema that was ceded to Rivers in 1976 is returned. Every Igbo.. I mean every Igbo should be angling for the creation of Anioma state.that's the only choice as regards state creation that we've.... Any other thing is gross stupidity |

Yet another group remembers that the father had said and done hurtful things in the past, so they also stand back and watch. The few who summon courage to put out the fire are ridiculed and lack the capacity to put out the fire alone. But alas, every single person in all these groups live in this very same house and watch it go up in flames. Agbor, Asaba, Kwale, Abor, none of these places have ever been seriously associated with the region known as the south east. Stop being stupid!!!! The reason I added that plebiscite tag is to use it and shut up the mouths of vocal minorities like you just as our fathers voted by an overwhelming majority to leave Western region, that's how I together with other like minded Anioma sons would ensure that the British mistake of 1939 was corrected with the realignment of the Western Igbo clans to their brothers East of the river |

What we have is Oyigbo and they are good people of Rivers State[/s]. The focus is on the ukwa people of Abia and I've every right to call in their kin who were wrongly carved into Rivers state in 1976....moreover they're desperate to rejoin their kin in Abia state. The ukwa consist of the asa and the ndoki...and these two groups are found in both Abia and Rivers states. If not for the land grabbing tendencies of your rukwo people, every asa and ndoki son would've been in Abia |

So concentrate on Abia and leave Rivers alone Oh you're pained Obigbo is southern ukwa just as ukwa East and ukwa West is northern ukwa. Just look at what the ukwa nation is going through bkos God blessed them with oil...their lands are divided into Abia and Rivers states when they should've all been in Abia. As if that's not enough, the two ukwa territories are desecrated with reckless abandon with the gifts God blessed their land with and all a Rukwo like you can say is "land grabbing" Coming to land grabbing...they're Igbos just like me but you're a RUKWO!!! Yet your rukwo people can't keep your eyes off the southern ukwa so much so that you had to grab them into Rivers in 1976 Anyway am not surprised kos all you rukwos do is keep trying to project your vices on the Great Igbo Nation |

ehikwe22: Why do you keep on overflogging one issue with your very long post? Nobody here is saying Ika doesn't bear Igbo name but the majority of Ika surnames are Edo names which shows the Igbo names are recent. All the Kings you listed are current kings. Monarchic system in Ika land is as old as Ika. Go to all Ika kingdoms, they have the lists of all the Kings that have ruled in their Kingdom. Go back and check their names. They are 90% Edo names. It's only recently Ika kings started bearing Igbo names. Ika language has always had some Igbo words in them and has been bearing Igbo names for some few centuries but the percentage of these words and names are not up to 20%. We've tried our best to be balanced and honest in our comments. Itsekiri is Yoruboid and Edoid just like Ika is Igboid and Edoid. You hardly ever hear Yorubas shouting and making noise about Itsekiri being Yorubas. Why must everything Igbo be different?
As for the marriage list up there, I don't see how that is related to Igbo. Every tribe have their marriage lists and it's not only Igbo that uses marriage lists. Egho is not an Igbo word. If you try to claim Egho as an Igbo word, I can also say it's an Edo word. Money is Igho in Edo, Egho in Ika and Ego in Igbo. I'm sure many of the other words in that list is strange to you except you will find an Igbo meaning to them as usual Broz...that Pablo guy has demolished you |
