Depends on what you are there for, for example in Ghana, once you are a student, you can get your resident permit with your admission letter...don't know about other ways

Hello guys, please I'm going to the embassy to plead with a random person to pair my documents with his/hers(as regards to legalisation) do I need to tender an authorisation letter? If yes, how then do I put the person's name in that letter, do I write it with a pen or should I type it that same morning before he goes in to legalise? Please I need your kind answers.

Lol..who told you so(concerning us never getting AD)?. how come students from other african countries have been trooping into Germany e.g Ghana, a Nigerian went in thru Togo after doing the needful visa process in that country. We will get AD, but we just dont know how or when. Tho it seems they are being selective about it, from the way the man I spoke to sounded
daambassador:
Not sure embassy will issue visa AD in earnest because' the news on BBC this evening had it that Angela Dorothea Merkel have extend their lockdown to another 10 weeks as against what she said last week that it will end by 31 January, 2021...guys let's keep hope alive no need to panic!!!

What country are you in now bro..?
CallmeFather:
You guys are stressing yourself on this German application issue. There are so many countries in this world, don’t waste time on one particular country if the application/ appointment date is not forthcoming.

I began my German application in 2019 when they implemented this category A/B thing. Unfortunately, I was in Category B & never got a date even though I applied in May. Very early as well.

Everybody waka dey different sha but if you want to go on, you can continue but life is too short to be waiting for appointment date.

Now I am in Europe, I am grateful... I am not in Germany but I am happy to be here. One step at a time. My advice is for you to look for other countries, you can be successful elsewhere. If Germany no want you no be by force my brother. Try elsewhere & you will be successful!

Thanks bro

You dont need health insurance for visa interview. What the embassy will ask you to provide is your travelling insurance and that one is after your interview, when the they have approved your visa, they will ask you to send your travelling insurance and international passport
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by ChibuGP: 12:30pm On Sep 03, 2020
Hello good day to you, please i used AOK health insurance certificate for my enrollment at FU Berlin, i would like to know if i will present another health insurance certificate during the visa interview or will it just be the same AOK i used for enrollment
dennison4luv:

The health insurance is for enrolment to secure admission because once you enrol you are automatically a full student hence you can resume any time or even during summer semester and the good thing about the health insurance is that you will only start the payment when you come to Germany, so for now no money is involve
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by ChibuGP: 12:21pm On Sep 03, 2020
Getting health insurance certificate has nothing to do with paying money (with the way i got mine from AOK for enrollment). Besides even if they are paying money for it, is it your money? People are only trying to get stuffs ready just incase the embassy tries to surprise us with something positive. So stop coming here to make people feel like their effort and prayers are a waste of time(apart from those who are overly desperate to travel). "Minding your business" should be your priority in this perilious times, just incase its not on your "to do list".
Ykhgu1:
Please these folks doing health Insurance up and down are you people in Nigeria or Germany or inbetween Nigeria and Germany?? Germany will make money from us las las. When we are not even sure they will interview anyone this year. Some are taking German/Nigeria Health Insurance.

Its best you check the school's website and contact the dept where your course is being taught.. i believe you will get all you need there.
piper7:

Okay. I'm going for under graduate studies not masters. Do you have idea about the academic qualifications that I'll be required of? So many misleading info on the internet, I'd love to hear first hand. Thank you.
Travel / Re: Being Black In Berlin/germany by ChibuGP: 6:27pm On Aug 31, 2020
Yes i was granted admission to study my masters without any requirement to prove i understand the language, besides my course is taught in English language.
piper7:

Excuse me sir! I'd like to ask you a question if you don't mind. What where academic qualifications required of you? And were you granted admission without proof of German proficiency?
Thank you.

Hmmm... this one caught my interest ooo, my passport is valid until June 22 2022, and my program is for 2years which starts november this year.. please will I have to renew as well..?
Afeez234:

You have to renew, your passport must be valid 3 months after completion of your expected program. Hence, validity of your passport should be about 2years 6 months or more in order to have a smooth visa process. Since you have booked an appointment, you have to hold both the old passport(present one with which you booked appointment) along with the one you're about to process to have access to the consulate at all

Alright thanks.

In Germany, you cannot subscribe for government paid health insurance you are suppose to subscribe for private health insurance. Since you are above 30, I think you should mail one of the health insurance company on how to go about the certificate.

Go to www.mawista.com and open a health insurance policy with them. They will send you all the documents needed for your enrollment.
