North produces food, do you produce fuel in SW?
If fuel should be cheaper anywhere in Nigeria, based on your jaundiced analogy, it should be SS! Lets just say i am talking above your brain capacity, if not you won't miss the point SS produces cruel oil which is not consumable until its refined, all refined fuel lands in Lagos and are distributed from Lagos depot .. cost of transportation to various state varies hence the variation in fuel prices across Nigeria, common sense should tell you why its cheaper in Lagos now olodo simple analogy o gbe gba gii IF south south produces fuel ready for consumption plus depots.. fuel will be cheaper in SS more than any place in Nigeria .. olodo rabata |

proeast: I just saw NNPC new list and it showed that fuel will be sold cheapest in the South West and most costly in the North. Why such wickedness? Is it because Tinubu is a Yoruba man and has decided to punish other Nigerians more?
Is this what emilokan is all about?
Already, three of the people he has employed to work for him are all Yorubas!
I hope it's not what I'm thinking because Nigerians will collectively resist him and his bigotry.
Below is the new price list from NNPC! Why are food commodities cheap in the North and very expensive in South ?? |

Small talk like this causes panic and changes everything. I share same thought as you 100%, but seeing how thing have panned out within 24hrs i think is time we start calling ourselves out, Tinubu get im own blame but i think we Nigerians are our own worst enemies and we need to start calling ourselves out more. Marketers and oil retailers know subsidy officially ends by june but they decided to play a fast one on Nigerians, assuming Tinubu had said fuel should be sold at 120per litre will they comply, when buhari reduce fuel we know how many weeks it took filling stations to hear the news but an increase na filling station go dey show you headline. OfoIgbo: So because fuel is not the only business of government, that's why you justify the plunging of millions of Nigerians into unnecessary anxieties and sufferings.
To be ready for government, one has to appreciate that one has to be looking into various concerns simultaneously, and ensuring that every concerned is well looked into, and solve gracefully. You don't jump from inauguration, to meting out unnecessary punishment on long-suffering Nigerians.
Tinubu ran to become the president. He even declared EMILOKAN. He shouldn't be relying on Peter Obi's policies. Let Tinubu and Onanuga and MC Oluomo come up with their own policy to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
While Tinubu and his devilish gang have been planning on unleashing violence against non-Yorubas in Lagos, especially the Igbos, Peter Obi was busy consulting with organised labour and other interest groups, fine-tuning his policies and reaching compromises to ensure his policies don't hit the wrong note with the general populace.
This is time for Tinubu to shine, and he totally failed. Total collapse. All these while we told you lot that Obi bested both Tinubu and Fashola in all the 5 developmental indices, while he was the governor, but you all claimed that Tinubu single-handedly built Lagos (totally ignoring the 100 of billions of federal government dollars that was poured into Lagos).
Let us all thank God that Peter Obi is pursuing his case in the tribunal, and will hopefully reclaim his mandate to clean up the monumental mess that both Buhari and Tinubu left. You are just jumping all over the place without any direction, you said why did Tinubu become president when he knows he has no cushion effect for subsidy removal ... i schooled your ignorant ass now you trying to creat a ocean from a pit hole. As far as the fact is concerned, Tinubu did nothing wrong, Nigerians are just there own problem, selfish, greed, a country where everyone want to outsmart each other, we can't blame that on Tinubu. You are just arguing like a retard kid, Tinubu as failed 🤣 assuming it was Peter Obi he would have built refinery before the expiration of subsidy by june or assuming it was Peter Obi he would have share money we don't even have as palliative measure for people or what ? consultations preceeds taking decision, the previous administration has taken decision, so what consultation is Tinubu going to make when decisions have taken on subsidy already. Listen kiddo, elections are over even inauguaration is long over, save your arguement for 2027 campaign again, meanwhile let reasonable adults discuss the way forward for Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Never Said He Will Remove Subsidy Immediately by chidiokay: 9:31am On May 31, 2023 |
OfoIgbo: If Tinubu had no policy to cushion the effect of this sudden petrol subsidy withdrawal, why did he run to become the president?
For months, Peter Obi traversed the nation, telling them what he intends to do. Tinubu that didn't face any of the Nigerian media gatherings once, all through the campaign season, was supported by his fellow ethnic terrorists, rigged himself into office.
All of a sudden, the subsidy is withdrawn, without following the procedure that Peter Obi kept harping on, all through the campaign season.
Today, from the onset of his administration, Tinubu has already proven to be vastly inferior to Peter Obi.
Peter Obi said severally, that before subsidy is suspended, that there has to have been extensive consultation with NLC, TUC and that some policy has to be adopted to cushion the effect. Tinubu only read the part about withdrawing the subsidy, but did not consult organised labour, and did not put in a policy to cusion the effect.
I even have a policy that can be implemented to cushion the effect, but Tinubu is the one that ran for presidency, boasting that he built Lagos. Let him come up with his own policy.
The competent people are gradually separating from the incompetent people. This is no longer mouth-action. He claims to be better than Peter Obi. You could have fooled me Is fuel the Only business/activity of Nigeria government, Is fuel subsidy the only problem Nigeria has on her plate, what about power, insecurity, inflation and corruption. I asked you a simple question, mention one cushion effect you think Tinubu should have implemented on the 29th that would creat an immediate relieve, abi nothing dey your head If you can't, then mention one of the cushion effect Peter Obi proffered to implement upon subsidy removal, i.e share Peter Obi solution on day one lets check how feasible it is |

OfoIgbo: How are we sure you're not an Agbado trying to drag Peter Obi into Tinubu's mess.
Peter Obi always said he would remove subsidy asap, but however, that he was already in communication with organised labour and he would put something else in place to cushion the blow of the subsidy removal.
In Tinubu's case, we was not in talks with organised labour to negotiate a adequate compromise for the masses. He also did not put anything in place to cushion the blow Give one example of cushion effect you think Tinubu should have implemented the very day he announce subsidy is gone .. just one |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Never Said He Will Remove Subsidy Immediately by chidiokay: 8:37am On May 31, 2023 |
Obinoscopy: I find it very interesting that the APC Propagandist and even the PDP have resorted to misquoting Peter Obi in the quest to save the face of Tinubu. That goes to show that the powers that be are truly afraid of Peter Obi. That also tells us who the real opposition party is.....the Labour Party.
Now, to the issue. I noticed people are quoting Peter Obi tweet about Subsidy removal. I have read that tweet and nowhere did he said he will remove subsidy immediately he takes office. What he will remove immediately is the "fraud". Peter Obi believes that the amount we are spending on Subsidy is fraud as its the smugglers and cabals that are siphoning the subsidized fuel through our Ports. If you even noticed, he started with attacking the rascality going on in our Ports. He promised to immediately bring back sanity into our Ports, and that way he has succeeded in immediately dealing with subsidy fraud.
Of course he will eventually remove subsidy in its entirety but that will be after he has dealt with the fraud, and also after ensuring the refineries are working (this is including modal refineries by small and medium scale establishments) that he will remove subsidy in its entirety.
So those who are misquoting Peter Obi are being disingenuous. The beauty of it all is that Peter Obi is not shy from the Press and we have all heard him talk about Subsidy. So anyone who tries Propaganda will fail because we all have unfettered access to Peter Obi either through the Press or Social Media or even in person. Pre- election every candidate including saint obi agreed sudsidy must go, how is calling out Obedient over there hypocrisy & pathetic lies depict "afraid of Peter Obi" The evidences of Peter Obi tweet are there online, you don't have to translate english to english, even toddlers can read and understand what OBi said, Dear Obedient your lifes sucks there is nothing you people ever do right, your 1st assignment as Opposition see the nonsense job una dey do 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Will Obedient ever get anything right ?? one even said immediately does not mean immediately 🤣 what does that even mean

To be candid, nobody has questioned PBT's intention, he only did it the wrong way undermining the 'Nigerian' factor in everything. PBT as done nothing, Nigerians are just there own enemy and the media derive gain & traffic misleading the public than sensitizing the public. According to the 2023 budget made & implemented by Buhari administration, subsidy was granted an extension of 6months in that budget, meaning subsidy ends officially by june ending. BAT just state the truth My annoyance with Tinubu is that he should have kept quiet on that issue until subsidy expiration .. knowing Nigerians are greed selfish humans that will mess up every good intention for selfish gains, everybody want to smart each other, the petrol stations are trying to outsmart consumers the way consumers are trying to outsmart them tew. Now the gainers are still the marketers that have pocketed subsidy for june, but Nigerians are now buying at unsubsidized prices. double gain for the oil marketers while the people remain the consistent losers becos we always want to out smart each other |

The only reason Obi is mentioning IREV in the tribunal is to prove the election wasn't transparent. Obi is using the Result Sheet and BVAS to prove he won, and not using IREV. Did you vote electronically or manually ? your thumbprint was it digital ? the collation of ballot papers and counting of vote at the polling unit was it electronically or manually ? If the collation from polling units up to the national centre was manually transmitted, collated and computed why should your existence depend on IRev. Who feeds the IRev, you don't trust Inec but you trust what is on IRev, is it not what the inec agents snap and send to the Irev that it will show. Is it until we break peter obi head and put sense there that he will know the best form of authentication is the primary source of results .. My friend was using Diesel plant for his business before, when diesel skyrocket, he switched to Generators using petrol, Not all trucks run on diesel, there are trucks that run on petrol, besides the market size for Diesel is very small compared to PmS, why else would you think govt remove subsidy on diesel & kerosene and there was no public uproar. Most household now uses gas cylinder no matter how small, that is why one of the trending Smes in Nig. is selling gas retail Most logistic business find alternative in trucks and vans that run on petrol as alternative, moreover it is cheaper and commonly available. Whats best for the country is what benefit the country on the long run, but in these case of Subsidy removal i don't see it benefiting the country both on short and long term due mainly to insincerity in governance and criminality in the oil sector. A serious govt won't dive into subsidy removal without, cushion policies, alternatives and contingencies plan to arrest effects of "Panic buy" Remember Diesel & kerosene had alternative despite that none is below #800 per litre today .. now imagine Fuel that has no alternative, infact Nigeria economy runs on fuel, the inflation effect will be unprintable |
