gidgiddy:
If every ethnic group were to enact laws to protect themselves and their lands from outsiders, then where is this "one Nigeria" people keep talking about?

Does one Nigeria stop at the entrance to my village and begin at the exit?

Reno Omokiri is talking about indigenous rights in America and Canada, has he ever heard of anyone saying 'one America' or 'one Canada'? They dont say that because no such thing exists, their unity is based give and take

But it is only in Nigeria that people will be shouting 'one Nigeria' from morning till night but will be angry when you call Lagos no mans land. One Nigeria means that we all own the land

But you shout 'one Nigeria' and tell me the land belongs to you? If you own your land and I own my land, then let us agree that 'one Nigeria' is a fraud

The hypocrisy in Nigeria is higher than Mount Everest
Before you postulate ever again ONE state is enough to suffice as "ONE NIGERIA" try use one hand to carry a bucket of water to your head
Nigeria as 36 states if we are being sincerely with ourselves why must ONE NIGERIA start and run in Lagos only.
One Nigeria is not a fraud, the apostles scream it are the hypocrites, besides South west remains the only region other Nigerians exhibit there lifestyle & culture unhindered it we make much sense IF other region meet them half way

Ok so i read today about Lagos state house of assembly suggesting laws that will protect indigines of Lagos from selling there lands (could be fake news though) and I shake my head in disbelief on why the people who claimed that they are more sophisticated and being around the corridors of power more than the Good people of Igbos sells there houses and ancestral lands to the Igbos to put food on the table .

Some of the Yoruba hailing the move by the Lagos house of assembly were even calling the Igbos "Useless." so I asked the guy that made such comment who's more useless between the land sellers and land buyers ?

Why rejoice over a suggested law by the Lagos house of assembly that won't give you back your landed properties and houses that you've sold to the Igbos and Hausa people especially in Lagos?

Oya so'pe otilo' 😂😂😂
I don't just understand these stupid narrative the IGBOS use to massage there bruise ego overtime ... i still wonder where they got the statis IGOs are the only ones buying land, building and above all Igbos are the only one making money.
The last time my Igbos said that nonsense Igbos are buying up lagos, thank we only live in say area i started mentioning newly built houses in the area and ask him the tribe that built those houses, fortunately, we counted two friends of ours that are yoruba that built new houses in the area.
I think it is just plain foolishness for a tribe to think they are the only ones making money buying land and building houses, Adron houses is one of if not the biggest real estate in SW, it is owned by yoruba.
Dangote refinery alone in lagos is worth more than Total Igbos investment in Lagos ... hausas aint crying up & down they built lagos so why can't out lousy mannerless neighbours shut the fvck for onces.
As 2023 majority of landlords to houses & shops are still Yorubas, why are they always causing noise pollution

Fuel for Abuja is 537 naira per liter.
Many places it's 540.

By the way bag if rice now I just confirmed is 57k in Abuja.
Seems you people in Abuja are alway feeling you have two head, i stay in lagos and fuel is #500 but i used 530, now lets even use #537 × 70L = 37,590k and you LIED 40k can fill a average camry

Bag of rice in lagos is 36k ... if you like buy it 200k in your Abuja thats for you.

To fill up bigger cars nko?

A bag of rice here in abuja is 42 k
public forum, no be everybody be pikin for here .. an average toyota camry is big daddy but lets use camry muscle 2010 as example
fuel is 500 per litre but i will use 533 × 70L = 37,100k is bad enough you don't have to inflate
Rice is between 32k to 36k depending, that is killing enough you don't have to inflate

Nigeria situation is worst you don't have to lie before people get the message, we are all in it.

This thing is a scam - well organised.

Each time they want to hike the price of fuel, as a means of extorting money from the poor masses to run the corrupt system, they deceive us with this subsidy thing.

Nigeria is broke! Totally broke! They need money by all means. In the coming months or years they will use the same formula to extort money from the poor citizens. They will say it was partially removed.

You can't truly deregulate and still continue to fix the price of PMS - that's regulation.
In these case Deregulation is for the time being, NNPC is the sole importer of the last stock nigerians are consuming, when competitiors step in with there own product ... NNPC will stop fixing price.
NDMPRA as offered to issue License to private investors until then NNPC wil keep regulating

Maybe if the coming up strike was about, mandating our leaders to cut down there budget maybe it will be more viable than wasting our time asking for subsidy back

bros am not okay with this your we dont have money anywhere while political office holders are riding cars worth hundreds of millions haba.
this is not funny, do you have a car?
do you know that what it takes to have a reserve quantity of fuel in an average car is 10liters?
do you know that with this current price of fuel #5,000 cannot buy 10 liters of fuel?
now the shocker is you shouldn't be driving a car with reserve, atleast to manage you should have 20liters in your car when moving around a short distance journey not to talk of traveling for 2hours.
do the mathematics and tell me if the ordinary man can still afford to drive a car.
let us assume that we want to nake sacrifice as ordinary people, what are the sacrifices that these political office holders will be making?
i mean it doesn't make sense, this is not about hatred or jealousy
I drive an SUV with 3.5L V6, the last tme i travelled to IB i spent 12k @195 on fuel, e enter reserve as i dey enter my house .... so tell me about the pain & how it feels smiley i kuku know buh e that is the sacrifice and hardship i have to bear for Nigeria to grow the way i envision .. i am ready
I know how bad and hard Nigeria is at the moment, But the cash scarcity period make me realize Nigeria would survive anything.
Asides saying it we have ever protested for our politicians to cut down on there allowances, maybe when we do they we take us serious.

Car is not a necessity, that thing can take away money from you at any fvcking time ...One thing i know is we will survive and a better Nigeria will come

but do you know how many poor Nigerians that will be buried for this policy if the cushioning effects are not made?
are you a political office holder, if the answer is No then stop speaking for them by saying there is no money.
masses are ready to pay the price if political office holders can reduce to the barest minimum their financial excesses and wasteful spendings, till then nobody is taking them serious.
Bro let not fool ourselves any longer, the best time to make sacrifices for our tomorrow is today, l
Majority of us protested in 2012 against removal of subsidy thinking we were doing the right thing shouting common man, even tho then Nigeria still had money.

I am a realist, the reality of Nigeria today is we don't have any free money anywhere, our 2023 budget is on deficit, what the new administration is trying to do is revive the economy to where a good % of revenue goes back into the economy and not debt/subsidy.

i believe with time Tinubu administration will come up with a cushion effect, but there must be a proper plan and channel in place so it get to the people and not polithieficians
