Governor Abubakar Sani Bello stated this when he interacted with Media Practitioners shortly after a meeting with COVID-19 Taskforce Committee in Niger State and other stakeholders at the Government House, Minna. "It has become clear and obvious that the amnesty programme for some of the bandits is not working", he stated. He said government must assert itself to its responsibility by using whatever means available to end the bandits nefarious activities as they have tolerated their recklessness for a long time now. According to him, all civilised approach engaged by the government, even providing the bandits with a way of life to stop their activities has hit the rock. The Chairman of the North Central Governors' Forum who decried the way and manner the bandits have continued to unleash mayhem on the Communities noted that the objective of seeing banditry end and people provided with a safe environment for normal and economic life to thrive is not in sight as banditry is continually increasing with perpetrators denying the locals access to their farms due to incessant attacks and cattle rustling. This he says if not checked and stopped, will lead to severe consequences... "The danger here is that the bandits have refused to let our local people, our farmers to operate...we are heading towards famine and starvation", he said. COVID 19: NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT IMPOSES NIGHT TRAVEL BAN ...SET TO PROFILE AND REPATRIATE THE ALMAJIRIS In order to forestall any further outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Niger State Government has banned all night travels of vehicles and persons from 6: to 7:00 pm. Governor Abubakar sani Bello made this known when he addressed the COVID-19 state taskforce commitee at the government house , Minna. Governor Sani Bello noted that having reviewed the existing lockdown order, there was the need to strengthen it in order to curb the spread of the dreaded virus. He appealed to the Local government chairmen to guard their boundaries and ensure strict compliance with the COVID-19 order if the state must achieve the desired result The Governor said the night travel ban has become necessary as it is the period used by motorists to convey people and goods from the state to other parts of flouting the lockdown order, adding that the three cases recorded in the state were all travellers. He added that security at all boundaries of the state will be reinforced through the deployment of conventional security personnel and volunteers like the Red cross, Boys Brigade, En'Agaji and Man O war. He directed the Secretary to the state government to interface with the various unions such as the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to ensure that they support the government on the interstate ban. On the repatriation of the Almajiris, the Governor revealed that eight isolation centres have been identified in the eight Emirates in the state for the mandatory 14-days quarantine where the almajiris will be profiled and tested for COVID-19 before being repatriated to their States of origin under strict supervision of the state government. He also revealed that the state government will increase testing capacity so that more people will get tested, for the state to actually know her true position as regards its status on COVID-19. Meanwhile, the government says Tuesday, Friday and Sunday remain the window days strictly for restocking, insisting on the intra and interstate border ban. He said that violation of the use of face mask, non adherence to social distancing by the citizens outside their homes would be prosecuted, urging the citizens to observe personal hygiene... Governor Sani Bello Salutes Resilient Nigerian Press ****As the World Marks 2020 World Press Freedom Day Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has commended the role being played by journalists in Nigeria even as they are exposed to various hazards. Governor Sani Bello disclosed this in Minna, as Journalists in the country joined their colleagues globally to mark the "2020 World Press Freedom Day". The Governor, who underscored the pivotal role of the press in nation building, acknowledged that it is offering the society a great service through constant information dissemination. He described this year's theme, 'Journalism Without Fear or Favour' as apt stressing that, as 'Fourth Estate' of the Realm, the Press must develop thick, uncompromising skin in the overall societal interests. According to him, the press has been in the forefront in the fight against the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), admonishing them to take all precautionary measures as they continue to enlighten the public about the danger posed by the pandemic, urging them not to relent. Governor Sani Bello also praised the Press for their sustained reportage in conflict regions such as the fight against insurgents, bandits, kidnappers, urging them to trade with caution. COVID19: NIGER STATE RECORDS THIRD CONFIRMED CASE ......43 PASSENGERS REPATRIATED TO THEIR STATE OF ABODE A third case of COVID19 has been recorded in Minna. This was made known by the Commissioner for Health and Hospital Services Dr Muhammad Makusidi Dr Makusidi explained that the COVID19 patient who is over 30 years is a driver from Kano State and was driving-pass Minna towards Kano when he was intercepted for flouting the Niger State COVID19 movement restriction order. The Commissioner said the driver was tried by the mobile court and quarantined, where his sample was taken to Abuja for test and it returned positive. He said the patient who is presently at the quarantine centre in Minnna will immediately be moved to Isolation centre at the Minna General Hospital for treatment. The Commissioner noted that the patient has no contact in the State as he was only passing-by to his destination in Kano State. He also announced the interception of three vehicles carrying 43 passengers heading to Kuta in Shiroro Local Government but were tried at the mobile court and rapatriated back to their State. COVID19: NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT REITERATES COMPULSORY USE OF FACE MASK AS VIOLATORS RISK ARREST ..... RESTOCKING TO BE DONE IN NEIGHBORHOOD MARKETS ONLY . Niger State Government has reiterated the compulsory use of face mask in the State for every one that must step out of his or her house. The State Government warned that violators will be prosecuted. Government further explained that supermarkets, corner shops and bakeries are allowed to operate as essential service workers, while restaurants will only be allowed to operate on take away service basis. They are however to avoid overcrowding while provisions are made for hand washing items and sanitizers at their entrance. Strict monitoring will be done by government to ensure compliance. Under this phase of lockdown, Citizens are only allowed to use the neighborhood markets for restocking Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and not to move from one market to the other, while the restriction on vehicular movement still stands on lockdown days. Movement within border areas remain restricted and monitored except those on essential services while inter State movement of people and vehicles remain banned, the statement added. The statement revealed that the State Government has started repatriating the Almajiri children that are not indigenes of Niger State to their States of origin, following the agreement of Northern States Governors' Forum to evacuate Almajiri children to their home States in view of the risk they are exposed to. All those eligible to cross into the State will be examined and screened thoroughly by medical personnel. The State Government warned that those who illegally enter the State will be quarantined for fourteen days and prosecuted. GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO MOURNS THE DEMISE OF STATE APC ZONAL CHAIRMAN Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has expressed shock,over the death of Mallam Sheriff Othman Bin Adam, Zone C Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Governor Sani Bello said he was saddened by his death, describing him as a young and energetic man with total commitment and dedication to serving humanity. A statement made available by the Chief Press Secretary(CPS) to the Governor, Mrs. Mary Noel-Berje indicates that the services of the zonal chairman of the party and state will be greatly missed. The governor prayed to Allah to forgive his transgressions and reward his good deeds with Aljannatu Firdausi while calling on the family, the APC in the state and his Associates as well as friends to take solace in the fact that God gives and takes life . The zonal chairman died in Kaduna after a brief illness he is survived by two wives, children and aged parents. The deceased hails from Sahon Rami, Mashegu local government area. Until his demise. He was a one time APC Youth Leader from 2014-2018 and became APC state zonal chairman in 2018. He has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites. COVID 19: ONE OF THE CONFIRMED CASES IN NIGER STATE TEST NEGATIVE ......AWAITS SECOND NEGATIVE RESULT TO BE DECLARED RECOVERED One of the confirmed cases of COVID 19 in Niger State has now tested negative and awaits a second confirmation result to be declared fully recovered from coronavirus. This formed part of the brief given to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello by the Commisioner of Health and the Covid19 State Task-Force Committee The Commissioner said 75 contacts have been traced for the two confirmed cases and that a Community Case Search Committee will be established to search for suspected cases in communities. He explained that contacts of the index case in Limawa community have exited the 14 days quarantine and the results of 5 samples from the immediate contacts returned negative even as 54 out of 62 persons quarantined in the State Centre have been discharged leaving eight under close observation. The Commissioner said in the mean time five persons out of 89 are observing self quarantine under close monitoring while 84 have conmpleted self quarantine without any symptoms. He stressed that so far, the State has not recorded any COVID 19 related death and that confirmed cases still stands at two, their contacts have been successfully traced adding that 90 signals have been received and attended to and the total of 45 samples sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC with 41 results received. He said the state is collaborating with NCDC to ensure the establishment of a molecular laboratory for conducting tests for Covid19 and other related diseases.

COVID19 KEY POINTS AT THE REVIEWED MEETING HELD BY GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO AND MEMBERS OF NIGER STATE COVID19 TASKFORCE COMMTTEE Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has announced further extension on the restriction of movement of people in the state by another two weeks, in order to achieve the desired result of minimizing the spread of the Corona Virus. Arising from the outcome of the Executive Council and COVID-19 Taskforce meeting held at Government House, Minna, the Governor announced, that: a) People will be allowed to move within their immediate environment in STRICT compliance with the physical distancing, wearing of Face Mask and other measures daily or will be penalized. b) There shall be no vehicular movement on the lockdown days except those on essential services but there shall be three days window period weekly, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from 7:00am to 12 midnight, while movement of people is restricted to their local governments only. c) There shall be no form of social gatherings during the weekly window periods. d) All schools and offices should remain closed, and all major markets in the state are to remain closed except neighborhood markets and shops adding that all shops and places of worship that did not provide basic handwashing materials, keep to physical distancing and the use of facemask should be closed. e) His Excellency noted that the increasing cases of the Corona Virus disease makes it mandatory to decidedly restrict interstate movement of vehicles and people. f) The state government will remain very active at the border by strengthening and enforcing interstate boundary movement. All violators shall be forcefully quarantined in order to reduce the risk of transmission. g) His Excellency further directed that operators of commercial motorcycles and tricycles (Keke NAPEP) should carry one and two passengers respectively, with each wearing facemasks. h) The Taskforce is to enforce maximum restrictions at the state and local government levels and liaise with the Chairmen to ensure replication of the Executive Order in respective local government areas. #RAMADAN: CHAIRMAN NORTH-CENTRAL GOVERNOR'S FORUM AND NIGER STATE GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO URGES MUSLIMS TO PRAY FOR PEACE AND END OF #COVID19 Muslims have been enjoined to use this period of Ramadan fast to pray for peace and the return of normal life to the world. Chairman North Central Governors Forum and Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani stated this as Muslims commence Ramadan Fast. A statement made available by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mrs Noel Berje indicates that Governor Sani Bello explained that this year's Ramadan fast is being observed with the world ravaged by (COVID 19) Pandemic and congratulated them as they embark on spiritual mission at this unique time. COVID 19: NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT ENFORCES COMPULSORY USE OF FACE MASK BY ALL RESIDENTS Niger State Government has declared the compulsory use of face masks by all residents of the state as one of the measures taken to curb the spreading and contracting of Coronavirus (COVID 19). Governor Abubakar Sani Bello gave the order while flagging off the distribution of face masks in Minna. Governor Sani Bello who acknowledged the use of face mask and social distancing as major ways of reducing the spread of the disease said it has become mandatory for all residents to comply. “By this declaration, the public wearing of face masks and observation of social distancing are mandatory acts for all residents, aimed at controlling the spread of the virus and other related diseases”, he stated. He urged the chairmen of the 25 local government areas in the state to replicate the distribution of the face masks and ensure its compliance and obeying the social distancing order. According to him, failure to wear the face masks and adhering to social distancing will lead to arrest and prosecution. Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said the two orders he signed, the Niger State Prevention Containment and Emergency orders to curtail the movement of people has been pivotal in preventing community infection of the virus, adding that no fewer than 50 violators have been convicted for violating the orders. The governor announced that the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) has agreed to lockdown the states for the next 14 days in order to allow early dictation of those carrying the virus so that they get treatment. Governor Sani Bello said specific persons on essential duties such as food and water vendors, shops, supermarkets, pharmaceutical stores including farmers will be allowed to operate under strict adherence to physical distancing as well as handwashing with soap and water or sanitizers. GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO CONSTITUTES 7-MAN COMMITTEE TO CHECK ACTIVITIES OF PRIVATE HOSPITALS Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has constituted a Seven-man Committee to investigate the reported cases of frequent loss of lives in private hospitals practising in the State. Governor Sani Bello inaugurated the Committee at the Government House, Minna. He expressed concern over the proliferation of nonstandard private clinics in the State and called for the trend to be stopped. The committee's terms of reference include Manpower, equipment and facility check, Review of operational standard and investigation of the doctors on the government payroll at the same time doing private practice as well as adherence to professional ethics, which is fundamental. While acknowledging the roles the Private hospitals play in complementing government hospitals, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello implored the committee to also find out the main challenges confronting them and identify where the State government support may be needed to assist them. The Governor gave the Committee eight weeks to complete its assignment which should be open to suggestions that will make the State's health sector function effectively. COVID 19: NIGER STATE MOBILE COURT ON COVID 19 SLAMS EIGHT PERSONS SIX MONTHS IN PRISON WITH AN OPTION OF TWO THOUSAND NAIRA FINE ...... A MINOR WARNED The Niger State COVID-19 Mobile Court has sentenced eight persons to six months in prison with an option of two thausand Naira fine each, for violating the stay-at-home order of the state government occasioned by the COVID-19. The suspects who were arrested on the 19th of April, 2020 during the enforcement exercise in the State, are from different areas of Minna Metropolis. The Mobile Court session jointly presided over by Magistrates Murtala Ibrahim and Halima Mohammed was held at the primese of the state High Court Minna. The state lead counsel, Suleiman Buhari Wushishi said the suspects were arraigned before the mobile court on two count charges of violating social distancing and stay-at-home directives of the state government under section 17 (a) and (2) of the state COVID-19 order 2020 which they all pleaded guilty to. At the end of trial, the suspects were all discharged and acquited after the payment of #2000 fine each with one minor, Musa Ibrahim who only got warned. COVID-19: COMMUNITY UNDER QUARANTINE GETS FOOD ITEMS FROM NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT Sequel to the directive of the Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, to quarantine Limawa Community in Minna, the State Government has supplied food items to its people. MINNA - BIDA ROAD CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ****AS GOVERNOR SANI BELLO URGES TIMELY COMPLETION ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATION Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has urged Dantata and Sawoe, contractors handling the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Minna - Bida road to expedite action and ensure that the project is delivered in good time and according to specification. The Governor's appeal is coming as the construction firm begins work on the 82 kilometers road which is expected to be completed in 18 months. Governor Sani Bello, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, underscored the socioeconomic importance of the road and the need for its timely completion. "As you mobilised to site and began construction, it must be emphasized that the road means a lot to all of us because, as you are aware, it serves as the major road linking the southwest and the northern parts of the country and its completion will bring succour to us and improve the economic activities". The Governor also enjoined villages, towns and communities along the route of the road construction as well as other road users to cooperate and assist the company, where necessary, to facilitate and fast track its completion. NIGER GOVERNOR CONDOLES HoS OVER MOTHER's DEATH Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has commiserated with the state Head of Service (HoS), Hajiya Salamatu T. Abubakar over the death of her mother. A Statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, the Governor expressed sadness over the death of Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Madaki who passed on at the age of 78. "We are greatly touched by the loss of our dear mother who, we can confirm was an epitome of great virtues having gave birth to a woman of impeccable character in the person of the Head of Service". Governor Sani Bello said the deceased, a selfless community leader and mother to all, had lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation describing her as an enviable pillar upon which many rested. The Governor prayed Allah to grant Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Madaki's soul eternal rest and reward her good deeds with Jannatul Firdausi as well as the HoS the fortitude to bear the loss. The deceased died at the Minna General Hospital after a brief illness. She left behind six children, 29 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Governor Abubakar Sani Bello disclosed this while inspecting the 50-beds Capacity Isolation Centre donated by the El-Amin Foundation in Minna. Governor Sani Bello who described the State as the gateway from Southwest to Northern parts of the country, said the state needed a laboratory for testing COVID-19 cases to ease the stress of having to send samples to Abuja for analysis. "But my appeal to NCDC is to assist and help us with at least one testing centre here, as I said earlier on, Niger State as a gateway, may not have the highest population but we have the largest landmass and anyone travelling by road from Southwest and going up North passes through Niger and if for nothing, we are exposed and we have to be prepared", he said. "At the moment we are trying to work with NCDC to convert one out of the twelve laboratories into a test Centre. I believe we have what it takes because we only need to upgrade. The Governor solicited the support of NCDC in managing the spread of the disease, saying the state government has provided thermometers for testing people that travel through the borders of the state to other parts of the country. COVID 19 NIGER UPDATE : A PRIMARY COVID 19 SUSPECTED CASE AND HIS TWENTY SIX CONTACTS DISCHARGED AS THEY TESTS NEGATIVE .... SEVEN STILL IN ISOLATION Twenty-seven suspected COVID-19 patients who were placed on isolation, have been discharged in Niger State after testing negative to the deadly virus. Commissioner for Health and Dr. Muhammad Makusidi disclosed this to journalists while releasing the suspected cases at the Minna isolation centre. Dr. Makusidi said the suspected cases were among those that had contact with a primary suspected case in Makera, Mashegu local government area whose result also came back negative. The Commissioner explained, that it is unnecessary keeping them in isolation after testing negative to the Virus, hence their release to reunite with their families, adding that another suspected case that was picked up at Bay Clinic on receiving signal, has also been discharged as his result also tested negative. He cleared the air on a suspected case at Stadium Junction Minna, saying the suspect was in transit from Onitsha to Kebbi State, but her body temperature and other vital signs were taken before she was allowed to proceed to her destination even as the appropriate authorities in Kebbi State have also been notified. The commissioner said the state has so far attended to 20 signals, with seven persons still currently in Isolation at the centre in Minna, with Few other individuals permitted to be in self-isolation at their homes. On the index case, Dr. Makusidi said that he is stable and receiving treatment at the isolation and treatment centre in General Hospital He however urged the public to disregard any report of another positive case in the state that was not announced by the appropriate authority, and appealed to them to desist from disseminating fake news on CONVID-19 in order not to create stigma. Dr Mkunsidi called on the people to continue to obey the rules and regulations as directed by health professionals and the state government, adding that the sensitization being carried out to avoid contracting the virus is helpful. COVID19 : NIGER STATE STRATEGY... Further to the directives of His Excellency, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for a total lockdown of Niger State, the general public is invited to note the following: a) All borders and entry points into Niger State will be closed until further notice. b) Any person caught flaunting this order by illegally coming into or passing through the state shall be forcefully put in isolation for 14days. The isolation centers are: -For Abuja/ Suleja: Sabon-Wuse General Hospital -For Kwara/ Mokwa: General Hospital Mokwa -For Kebbi: General Hospital Nasko c) Furthermore, any person(s) bringing in essential products/services shall have their temperatures checked at each entry point, and if same is above the NCDC specifications, such person(s) shall be quarantined until a health clearance is issued. d) Health officers will be situated at each of the borders isolation centers for this purpose.

NISEPA FUMIGATES LIMAWA AREA OF MINNA, NIGER STATE As directed by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, the Management of Niger State Environmental Protection Agency (NISEPA) has carried out fumigation of Limawa Community in the heart of the state capital Minna where the first Coronavirus case (COVID-19) tested positive last week. The agency carried out the fumigation of the community in order to disinfect the area so as to ensure that the possibility of the virus still being active becomes eliminated. With the residents of Limawa placed on isolation for 14-days, NISEPA moved in to fumigate the community. About a fortnight ago, NISEMA in conjunction with the State Ministry of Environment and Forestry started the fumigation of the State, and major places they fumigated included; places of worship, markets, schools and other public places that attracts large numbers of people. The agency has moved to Bida local government area to continue with the fumigation exercise as promised, to disinfect all the 25 local government areas in the state. MAJOR DECISIONS REACHED AT A JOINT EMERGENCY NIGER STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING AND STATE TASKFORCE ON COVID-19 HELD AT THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, MINNA. 1. Niger State Government places 24-hours complete lockdown for 2-weeks starting from Monday 13th April 2020. 2. Government appeal to citizens to give their maximum cooperation. 3. Four days window has been provided starting from Thursday 16 April, Monday 20th April, Thursday 23rd April; and Monday 27th April 2020 from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 4. The window period is is not for social and religious gathering as defaulters will be arrested and prosecuted. 5. All social and religious congregational activities are suspended. 6. Intra and inter state movement of people are banned within the lockdown period. 8. All borders across the state are closed. 9. Limawa Community in Minna where a case was dictated is to be isolated for two weeks. 10. Health workers to conduct sensitization on the spread of the virus. 11. Quarantine Centre at the Social Rehabilitation Centre Minna has been reactivated in addition to the fully equipped one at the Minna General Hospital. 12. Government has commenced the furnishing of the 48-bed capacity isolation/treatment centre donated by El-Amin Foundation in Minna. 13. All the identified isolation centres in the state are to be equipped. 14. The public has been urged to use all precautionary measures by using facemasks when going out as well as adhering to frequent hand washing and social distancing. 15. Government has commenced the distribution of palliatives at ward levels. 16. Civil Servants are to operate at home except those on essential services. GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES TOTAL LOCKDOWN EFFECTIVE MONDAY 13TH APRIL ****AS NIGER STATE RECORDS FIRST CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19 Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has directed the complete lockdown of the state for Twenty four Hours for the next two weeks starting from the 13th of April, 2020. Following the announcement of a confirmed case of the deadly Corona Virus (COVID-19) disease in Minna, the state capital. However, a window is created to allow people replenish household essentials, on the following days, Thursday 16th April, Monday 20th April, Thursday 23rd April and Monday 27th April, 2020 from 6AM to 6PM, adding that the window is not for social or religious activities as any one caught flaunting the order will face the wrath of the law. In an address to Nigerlites, the Governor said the decisive action became necessary in order to endure the pains of today and avoid the consequential damage of tomorrow. He disclosed that the confirmed covid-19 case is one Abubakar Sani from Limawa area of Minna, who travelled and returned home two weeks ago, adding the he didn't get access to his family on return but has endangered those he travelled with in the same vehicle as well as other neighbours. The Governor directed that the entire Limawa area in Minna should be quarantined while patrol within the streets of Minna should be carried out extensively. Governor Sani Bello noted that it was time for collective action, rather than sentiments, against the pandemic, adding that if the situation gets worse, the state do not have enough manpower, resources or technical knowhow to curtail the spread. Accordingly, the Governor directed all political appointees to go back to their Local Government Areas to coordinate and monitor activities and, most importantly, carry out sensitization and report back to the state government at the centre. The Governor also maitained that the lockdown does not affect those on special duties and essential services especially those that carry food and pharmaceuticals as well as Vigilantes . He stated that, in case of any casualty, only the NSTA vehicles will be available or deployed for emergency services as all parks are expected to remain closed. The Governor also directed the committee on Covid-19 to provide palliatives to those that are in dire need and also provide reflective jackets for the taskforce on essential service to be distributed to all the Local Government Areas and other members. Meanwhile, the state Ministry of Health has set up additional isolation centres to attend to cases that may come their way while the only confirmed case is already isolated and being taken care of. GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS ON EASTER As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has implored Christians in the State to use the period to pray God to bring an end to the COVID-19 global pandemic that has engulfed the entire globe. It is also one of the most solemn periods of worship in the Christiandom". The Governor urged all Christians, irrespective of their denomination, to use this period to seek for God’s intervention by praying fervently so that the COVID-19 pandemic ends and people all over the world return to their normal lives. Governor Sani Bello added that the COVID-19 pandemic could be regarded as a test of one’s faith in God while calling on Christians not to despair but be resolute and seek mercy of the Almighty at this moment of trial, adding that the world will pull out of it stronger and more united. On the security challenges bedevilling some parts of the State, he assured that government is not resting on its oars as it vows to crush the bandits and other criminal elements in the State.
