Johnsinia: Soon, you might be the last man standing in PDP, so far you cannot see the handwriting on the wall. I have not seen resilient politicians like Ogbonnaya Onu, Tinubu, PMB, etc, in PDP that can stay long as an opposition in your party. They are all opportunists looking for where the power is. For Obi, Arthur Eze and even Obiano to be dreaming of joining APC and Jim, Senators Okoro and Ekwunife joining them already shows it's a matter of months for PDP to become the minority in our zone. I forsee more governors joining them from our zone, as I have not seen any with Tinubu spirit. For this, I vote for the best candidates not the best party because most of them do not actually have a party, rather they are in parties to achieve their selfish aim. Receive sense and be wise! |

It is categorically clear that our politicians have
succeeded to hoodwink many of us, to have more interest
and love in a political party one belong, instead of the
quality and capacity of the candidate contesting. But if i
may ask, should we cast our votes because of the
goodness of a particular political party or should we vote
by the quality and capacity of the contestants whom we
have confidence in, to move our beloved nation, state and
local government forward? Which one would save this
nation ndi beanyi? It's clear that we the SS and SE have been brainwashed and betrayed by our leaders for their selfish reasons. We were fed wt all sorts of falsehood and propaganda-that APC will islamise the country and that anyone in the party is evil. We sheepshly supported them and closed our doors to other parties - including our APGA, not minding how they have been dealing with us since 1999 (Enugu- Onitsha and Enugu-PH roads are now bush paths, Niger bridge about collapsing). Now, we are being denied several privileges as a result of putting all our eggs in one basket. It is regrettable that the same proponents of those propaganda, who still benefited selfishly in the last administration, have started jumping into the APC which they demonised, in order to continue enjoying our common wealth while me and you are still killing ourselves, saying that APC can never win in SS or SE. EllisMorgan: Truth is bitter and a trial will convince you. Try and borrow a course from any of these departments-Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Engineering, you will understand better. Students from science and engineering faculties, most times borrow courses from arts, education and even social sciences to boost their GP. Yes, interest in a course is a factor too but some courses are tougher than others. You can't brag for me with your first class in Physical education (jumpology). Lol |
Education / Re: Agbo Odeh-Hillary Of BSU Breaks Academic Record After 17 Carryovers by chiol: 3:55pm On Jan 09, 2016 |
A third class graduate of physical, biological or medical sciences, including engineering courses is far better than a 2.1 graduate of arts, education or social sciences . But unfortunately, the labour market doesn't understand this. A drop out in Physics making first class in Psychology. Imagine! 2 Likes |

You were sharing the money meant for arms, leaving the military with little or no weapons to fight BH and at the same time sentencing them to death. I think this is the height of it. PDP really dealt with Nigeria. Please all we need now is to be patient with this new government, support them and pray for their success. It's more difficult to repair than to destroy. Remember, it took PDP 16yrs to destroy this country. How come you expect APC to repair this within 6 months? Please let's be reasonable. |

SSpeter: Heart attack is real my brother. The earlier you adjust and realise that it's no longer business as usual, the better your blood pressure. No amount of propaganda or wailing can help you. Using the picture of soldiers that died in an accident while returning from Darfur in 2008 to cause confusion just shows how helpless you are now. It is high time this FFK was arrested to provide his facts. Maybe he has plans against the military. Our major problem now remains the poor state of our economy and nobody should blame PMB for that. Our economy has been largely dependent on oil and the price has been on a free fall. Had it been the past administration managed the oil boom well, we wouldn't have been in this mess. Even at that, PMB is still running the government without borrowing. Remember, the past administration borrowed to pay salaries before they were sent packing and oil was still above $80 then. Now oil is around $40 and PMB is still paying salaries without borrowing. Nigeria is on the rise again! |

Even magicians can't do much in 2 yrs under the condition PDP left us. Crude oil selling about 80% less than what it was selling when PDP was stealing instead of investing. If PDP was still in power under this condition, it would have been a serious chaos. They were borrowing money to pay salaries when oil was around $80 per barrel. What would have been our fate now the oil is around $40? Imagine, APC is still running government under this condition without borrowing. No chance for the looters again! Editor1: I am not a member of any political party but we should not forget in a hurry what PDP did to us. Honestly, I see anybody supporting PDP as a criminal. They really damaged us. Most of our people here in the south east are supporting them and we are the worst hit. Check out the status of our federal roads and you will appreciate what I am saying. PMB remains the best for Nigeria in this trying times. I cannot imagine what the country would have been if PDP continued. We were borrowing money to pay salaries when we had oil boom. Now the oil price has crashed, I wonder what would have been our fate in the hands of these thugs if they continued. PMB has achieved a lot so far by managing our meagre resources prudently. Yes the expectations are high after suffering for sixteen years in the hands of these political opportunists. We should remain calm for now while the repairs are being done to the damages done by these heartless rogues. In fact, a new foundation is being laid. I pity our president because he inherited what he never expected. It is just like a case of a boy thinking that the father was rich before he died. He planned to execute many projects with the money his dad left in his account. Unfortunately, he did not see any money in the accounts the dad was telling him he had. PDP was cooking figures for usand PMB was campaigning and making promises hoping that as the largest economy in Africa there was enough money to fulfill those promises like the 5,000 monthly allowance for unemployed youths, free lunch for pupils, etc. Nobody knew PDP was borrowing to pay salaries and claiming the largest economy. PDP was a fraud! |

This is not true. In Fidelity bank, there are many non Igbo staff. In there board of directors and management team, there are many non Igbos there. Even in there south east branches, there are many non Igbos. You hardly see any of there branches without people from different parts of the country. The only discrimination there is b/w 2.1 & 2.2 . If you have 2.2, your salary will be like half or one third of those with 2.1. Of course, this is very bad. |
Career / Re: Second Class 2:1 by chiol: 2:39pm On Jan 30, 2008 |
In `80s, it was school cert. In `90s, it was HND or degree. Now, it is the class of degree. Very soon, the bottom line will be first class or additional qualification. This is due to high rate of unemployment and the decline in the standard of our education. Even those with 2.1 are becoming too many nowadays. What they are interested in is just 2.1 no matter how and where it was gotten from. A 2.1 in university A may be equivalent to 3rd class in university B. Besides, where do we go from here? Let NUC give us an exam body that will be in charge of all the undergraduate exams in this country. The body will be conducting the same exam for all the schools the same day. This will go a along way in checking the problems of exchanging sex for marks, cultists harassing lecturers for marks, fishing out quark lecturers and setting standards for our graduates no matter the school they attended. Above all, the dignity of Nigerian graduates will be restored. |
Career / Re: Enlightment by chiol: 12:11pm On Jan 28, 2008 |
Go for any course you can make at least 2.1. In Nigeria today, what matters is the class of degree you have not the course you read or the University you got your degree. If you read any of these hard courses like Maths, Chem,Micro biology,Civil Engr. e.t.c. and make 2.2, you`ll be under those that have 2.1 in courses like Philosophy,History, H.P.E, Music e.t.c. Again, don`t go to all these old generation Universities. The old Profs there will stress you and give you 2.2 at the end. To gain addmission there is not easy and to graduate is another war. Look for state or private university if you have the resources. You`ll make ur 2.1 at ease. Good luck! |

Yes, Bible is the true word of God. My question is christianity and Bible, which one came first? Were the people that compiled the bible christians? Which denomination were they? Is it every good thing we do that is captured in the bible? Yes, how many times does bible tell us to be eating in a day? The IT we`re enjoying today is in which verse of the bible? Are we only interested in the use of image and honoring the mother of God? Let us stop every other good thing that is not in the bible. The church came b/4 the bible and the bible is a kind of a constitution for the church. Pls let us stop understanding the bible literally. God created Mary but Mary is the mother of God. This is a mystry and we have to accept it like that. Let`s stop fighting each other. Stop annoying Jesus by annoying His mother. As a human being, if I say all this to your mother, how will you feel? I`m a catholic and I`ll die a catholic. Mary is my mother and she treats me like her son. What about you? |
