Did anyone notice when the host went ballistic for no reason on Professor Soyinka? She was like "i also have a literature degree". WTF
^^^^^
Yes I also noticed it, infact I had to re-watch that clip (21:22-21:35). What I could gather was that she had to interrupt professor Soyinka due to time constraints and as a result of her degree in literature she is "going to hell" (metaphorically speaking). Meaning irrespective of the fact that she has utmost respect for the prof as a noble leurate and authority in her field of study, unfortunately she had to cut him short against her will because of time limitation or so it seems.

BraideBraide: Please I need help...my project supervisor wants me to sleep with him..I really don't know what to do..I've never been involved in this type of problem..- want to change my supervisor but it's not that easy and I have to give my HOD a good reason...I have no proof about the issue..please I really need help and I dnt want to create more problems for myself...I posted this in the education section but I did nt get replies..please help
From what you have said he only wants to sleep with you but he would not victimise you if you do not not consent. If that is the case then you have nothing to worry about. If you do not want to you don't have to. Except you are looking for favours from him beyond lecturer student supervision. If he wants to sleep with you its not out of the normal since he his male and straight. It is only a problem if he threatens to victimise you if you don't succumb to his advances.
Lmfao very funny. Sharing is caring so we have shared azonto and fufu but pls abeg if i hear one day that waakye, kenke, shito, or banku is now a Nigerian food then it ends there!! :-p
Ok we don hear. But for the records fufu is not solely a Ghanaian food!! But we dash you the patent right. grin
CelebritiesRe: Keri Hilson Makes A Bowl Of Fufu (photo) by chreldb(m): 5:07pm On May 05, 2013
Fellow Nigerians, please kindly leave the patent right of "fufu" to the Ghanaians to make them happy tongue tongue. Please don't offend them. it's bad enough that Chris Brown wrongly attributed azonto to Nigeria and now that Keri Hilson eats "fufu" Nigerians wants to take away the glory from them. That to me is oppression tongue tongue.

I just tire for the guy o! Very unnecessary comment.
PoliticsRe: Foreign Consortium To Invest $100 BILLION In Nigeria by chreldb(m): 7:16pm On Apr 24, 2013
They should look away from oil and gas sector and concentrate on the other areas that they are interested in. The oil and gas infrastructure in Nigeria does not need too much attention. It is satisfactorily developed and is even at par with world standards (I think). What will benefit the Nigerian economy the most would be power generation and fast speed trains.

PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo-iweala To Talk To Christiane Amanpour Tonight by chreldb(m): 7:48pm On Apr 16, 2013
It will be good for NOI to talk with Christiane Amanpour. I am quite confident that she will give a good showing of herself and the government she represents. However, I find it disturbing and it irks me to know that whenever GEJ grants an interview of this magnitude his responses to questions are inarticulate and unintelligent. And he is supposed to be the C in C. Simply put we do not have a competent president and he is unfit for the job because he appears to know not what he is doing.

nwando: So this fraud is just reaching nairaland
. All you have said is backed up with facts. Ignore the ignorant folks who do not even know you and are insulting your pedigree and progeny claiming you will never amount to anything. That aside, when I saw a video about her on YouTube, there is a claim she made about how her post grad supervisor was in the US being the first person to reprogramme somatic cells back to stem cells. I doubted that claim but took her word for it because of her apparent credibility at that time. Oga Nwando do you have any info about that? Meanwhile thank you for your brilliant expose.
Plsss do the world some good and learn to read. It's people like you that fail exams because you don't follow instructions.
My brother dont bother. That's what we come across on NL frequently. Those that have eyes have read and those that have a reliable brain have assimilated and comprehended.
CelebritiesRe: Oluchi Onweagba Smoking (Picture) by chreldb(m): 8:07pm On Apr 06, 2013
Technically she is not even smoking. What she is doing is vapourising. Electronic cigarettes give the nicotine satisfaction to former smokers but all the carcinogenic materials and other harmful substances found in cigarettes have been removed. So it is harmless as far as research conducted on it has shown so far. It is basically made up of nicoten dissolved propylene glycol which are all harmless substances. It is devoid of tar and tobacco. If you want to find more ask google but all I can say for now is that it is revolutionary and can save a lot of lives from smoking related ailments. THATS ALL!!

Let me reiterate what has already been said by numerous posters. Whether Ibo, Hausa or Yoruba or whatever tribe, the criminals are recognized as Nigerians. To all the tribal warlords posting ethnic junk on this thread you are fooling and ridiculing nobody else but yourselves. That's all I have to say.

FamilyRe: Left-handedness In Children; Can It Be Corrected? by chreldb(m): 8:50am On Apr 03, 2013
PrettyCindy: Hello everyone, people around me have been saying that my 1 year old son is a 'lefty'. Though i have keenly observed that he does practically everything from picking up objects to waving goodbye with his left hand.

I don't believe he is a 'lefty' because i feel its because he sees me and others use our right hand alot which to him may be left when he is facing opposite me or anyone.
Besides no one uses left hand in my family and am certain its same in his birth father too so i keep wondering where he got it from.

I do not like it and want to correct and stop it.

Someone said that it cannot be corrected because he was born that way. I totally disagree.

If anyone of you has experienced such in your kid and was able to correct it, how did you do it?
Piece of advice !! be very careful the way you handle the situation. First of all there is nothing wrong with being left handed. Secondly and most importantly trying to "correct" your child could make him retarded. I say so because I know a friend whose parents tried to forcefully correct him when he was younger because they thought it was a defect. Unfortunately for him he could not coordinate himself while he was trying to change to right while growing up and it affected him negatively especially in school performance. He normalized at an older age when they accepted that there is nothing that could be done and let him be. If you think of it, if you are being forced to use your left hand to do everything when you were born right handed, even in adulthood it would make you slow. So it makes perfect sense. So like I said be careful!!!

PhonesRe: iPhone5 Or Samsung Galaxy S3: Which Is Better? by chreldb(m): 1:48am On Mar 29, 2013
Armaniswiz: iPhone remains a phone for girls n gayshuhhuh?Stop trolling bro..take a look @ both phones which of them looks more masculine both on the design n material? Here in europe u'l hardly see a guy with S3 but everyone has an iphone. The S3 is no doubt a top smartphone plus the second to none advert that pushed it's sales but Samsung r yet to make a device that beats d iPhone completely, they remain apple's closest competitor. And for anyone who thinks apple is too restricted n not user friendly..jailbreak an idevice n everything is free!
Thank you very much for that. The truth about the matter is that Iphone is not common in Nigeria so people are yet to understand the device. I used to be in the school of thought of most commentators on this thread until I gave it a trial for my self. I had to take back everything I said about the Iphone. That is why I am threading softly on the S3 because I have not used it so I have no right to say the Iphone is better. Before now I used to ask what can an Iphone do that a blackberry cant. Now I realise how silly I was. As for the issue about paying for APPS. I have two things to say first of all most of the APPS are free. Secondly if you have to pay for an APP how much is the APP really? 0.69 or 2.99 pounds/dollars that's no biggie. for you to spend money on an APP in the first place it means that it is totally worth it. The gains and benefits you get from that APP will outweigh the meager cash you spent on the APP. Anyway like you rightly said Iphone is more common in Europe and if I may add North America also. These countries are more advanced and developed so the Iphone technology is more appreciated. But Nigerians like "akpako" and the S3 just like the blackberry seems to appeal to that. So you are regarded a fool or "gay" by a certain buffon if you dont subscribe to that school of thought. As a Nigerian I can understand that school of thought. But both devices are really good what one can do the other can also do.

jim jones: bros, nor mind that mumu wey waste money on iphone because e get speech recognition.

and for the lot blabbering on about gaming on the iphone5...i dont know any serious gamers(dead or alive) that'll prefer gaming on a device with a smaller screen, weaker processor, and an absolutely useless battery. spec for spec, the iphone5 is a joke in comparison to the s3. it remains a phone for girls and the gays(not like there's anything wrong with any of those groups of people).

@OP: you're most definitely better off with an android device(S3). android is the now and the motherfukin' future.

ps: the iphone crowd are called iSHEEP for a reason....for a very good reason.
Wow!! so I'm now gay because I own an Iphone. I think your view is the most convincing by a long way. tongue tongue.

Belovedd: haba now, this is nothing new, even my old x10 can do it. you can also do it via google talk
I just used that as a tip of the iceberg to illustrate the wonders of the phone. I never appreciated apple till now. According to a friend he says the only thing new that can be created in a phone na say "when you commot for house make the phone de waka follow you for back"
PhonesRe: iPhone5 Or Samsung Galaxy S3: Which Is Better? by chreldb(m): 6:33pm On Mar 28, 2013
Before I got my iPhone 5, I asked the dealer the same question and he told me that I can't go wrong with either. So I decided to go for the I phone 5 . And I'm loving the experience. The technology is out of this world. I did not type this post but dictated it to my phone. I don't know much about the S3 but the I 5 is awesome.

NYSCRe: Snake Killed Under My Bed At Nysc Orientation Camp, Ikare-akoko, Ondo-state... by chreldb(m): 10:59pm On Mar 16, 2013
vifald101: I was sleeping on my bed in the male block one when some some other corps members in the main hall were shouting and telling me to jump out of the room.. I thought they weren't serious so I didn't respond instantly, when I saw that the shout was becoming more serious, I quickly wore my cloths and jumped out.. Some of the boiz then went inside the room and brought out the snake dead after some minutes.. I was so scared.. I wonder what our country is turning into.. The safety of corps members aren't even guaranteed.. The toilets are messed up.. We live like prisoners and refugees.. God help us.
Had a similar experience when I was serving. Only I think mine was a bit more creepy. The state of my camp was so terrible back then. Infact I can categorically say it was the worst camp as at then. Anyway the camp was situated in a secondary school. To cut the long story short, my bed space was in the corridors of the class room. Me and my corridor mates had to use empty cement bags to barricade ourselves. So I was literally sleeping outside (a whole aje like me lol). Anyways one fateful day a snake was killed on the floor just next to the part of the corridor I was sleeping. Luckily it was not yet bedtime for us. But after that day I could not sleep at night because my mind did not let me. However, I hear that a new camp has been built and it has gone from the worse to the best camp in Nigeria. Good to know but too bad I never benefited. Just be thankful that nothing bad happened to you. You will live to remeber the experience and laugh in the future while telling yourself never again will I be placed in such a horrid situation.

I don't mean to hold brief for the commandant but I think the social media is getting a bit too judgmental. Yes the commandant made an inexcusable blunder but I think it is a little far fetched to label him incompetent just because he did not know the website of his place of work. He simply is not at par with the information age but I am sure he has experience in other aspects of the NSCDC. It's time to cut him some slack. At least for the sake of his family, especially his kids.

The likes of Doyin Okupe and those who see evil and support it. Karma will one day meet up with you and you will pay for your evil misdeeds. If it does not get to you it will get to your children. Doyin has sold his soul and his morals. The contempt and impunity through which he talks is just disgusting. He would not be in power forever. One day he would leave that position Then and only then he would realise his stu.pidity. He should take a cue form Aaondaka. I am very angry indeed angry.
Bottom line is that this man realises 2015 is impossible for him unless he puts "his people" everywhere he feels opposition may arise to his ambition. Futile tactics but how can that be made clear to a crude opportunist promoted far above his station and determined to 'sit tight'? Anenih, Tukur are 'resurrected' and so too will be the case for Alamco.
My thoughts exactly. In addition to all you have said, it is obvious that GEJ intends on retaining power in 2015 by rigging. Because as it stands now he knows that he can never return in a free and fair election. So he is building up a network of corrupt individuals who can deliver his unscrupulous quest.
