Msauza: That man suffers from a bipolar which was diagnosed some while ago. This condition is very popular to academics. However, he was found to be a qualified sign language interpreter, since it was not the first time he was used.

"kill or don't kill".

he could have been a terrorist and staged a deadly attack by stabbing Obama or Zuma to death.

while jets were flying and helicopters hovering the skies as the usual way of SANDF and police to parade for photos, the real threat stood beside Barack Obama and Jacob Zuma unchallenged for hours. further daring them by faking sign languages on international tv. still unchallenged.

SA intelligence was tested and defeated that day. Zuma must be like "na so I for just die and these 1diots go just dey model for camera" grin

NaijaPikinGidi: I had hoped for some form of direct response to the clear facts of the serious security breach and risk posed to world leaders yesterday! But clearly not even one of our usual blockhead South African "bingos" on this thread will touch my comment with a 10 kilometer pole. Truth is sacred. Touch truth the wrong way and die!

As usual beautiful pictures of spineless security personnel are the best response to the scandal televised and seen the world over! One man has proved us right about South Africa ... fooling themselves in such empty grandeur for a revered Mr. Mandela. Any more sign linguists in South Africa? angry angry angry

How is it that your fabled Gripens, Rooivalk helicopters, and ground soldiers, security personnel and operatives were so unable to detect this man? More proof for my comments on this thread over the past few months. Remember the Park Station matter of a few months back?

"The SAS Manthatisi, the first of the country's submarines acquired in the multibillion-rand arms deal, has been in the dry dock since 2007 after a series of mishaps, including crashing into a quay and damaging her steering mechanism.

Then a power cable was incorrectly plugged into her shore power-supply system, causing damage. The vessel's propulsion batteries, which cost R35-million, are being replaced.

Arms deal activist Terry Crawford-Browne said the incident was further proof of the folly of the arms deal. "South Africa has not yet paid for these submarines. They are being financed by Commerzbank until 2016, these loans being underwritten by Hermes and German taxpayers," he said.

"This is another example of what happens in arms deals all the time, but it seems to be happening more than most in our deals. We were sold equipment that seems to be of dubious quality, we were sold it at inflated prices because of the bribes that were paid, and the performance of this equipment has been very poor," said Feinstein"

South Africa's fleet of attack submarines, which cost an estimated R8-billion in the infamous arms deal, are all in dry dock after the only operational vessel crashed into the seabed.

Over One Hundred Heads of State Expected to Attend Mandela’s Funeral

One of the most powerful women in entertainment and business, Oprah Winfrey will attend the Nelson Mandela funeral. – image - people.com

The funeral of former President Nelson Mandela looks set to be the biggest event held in South Africa. More than one hundred heads of state are expected to attend. This is a noticeably higher number than those who attended the funeral of Pope John Paul II in 2005. It has been reported that the royal family in Buckingham Palace will be represented by the heir to the throne, Prince Charles. International celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Bono have also confirmed their attendance with the South African authorities.

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe will be accompanied by his wife Grace. Other African heads of state who intend to represent the millions in their own countries who were touched by the legend of Mandela include the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. The Namibian, Mozambican, Congolese and Angolan presidents are also expected to attend Nelson Mandela’s funeral.

However, it appears as if the presidency might have some logistical concerns. According to media reports, Collins Chabane, Minister in the Presidency, said that it may not be advisable for all the heads of state to attend the funeral at the Mandela homestead in Qunu. He offered that no dignitaries “will be prevented from attending” but perhaps it would better if they only attended the official memorial service at the FNB Stadium due to “the size and the scale of the operation and the size of the delegation and the limited infrastructure in the area” of Qunu.

It is not yet clear if the likes of President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and former President George Bush will pay Chabane’s advice any attention. The Prime Minister of Jamaica Portia Simpson Miller, Palestinian State President Mahmoud Abbas and Chinese Vice President are among those who will be attending Madiba’s funeral.

Royal houses from around the world have also sent delegates to pay their respects on behalf of their nations. The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Norweigan Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud will be in South Africa for the funeral.

For now, all roads lead to FNB Stadium and thousands of people have braved the wet Johannesburg weather to make sure that they make it inside the stadium before the memorial service of the much-loved and appreciated Nelson Mandela begins.

Mandela's final moments spent with Winnie and Graça
09 DEC 2013 11:24 DAVID SMITH

Graça Machel and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela were at the bedside of former president Nelson Mandela when he died, says family friend Bantu Holomisa.

Nelson Mandela's final moments were spent off a life support machine with his wife, Graça Machel, and his former wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela at his bedside, witnesses have said.

The former president died at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, at 8.50pm on Thursday, sending millions into mourning in South Africa and around the world.

Bantu Holomisa, a politician and close family friend, recalled how less than three hours earlier he found Mandela asleep and struggling to breathe but "still fighting".

Holomisa (58) said he received a call on Thursday afternoon telling him to come urgently. "They said on the phone that Madiba [Mandela's clan name] doesn't look good," he told the Guardian. "I immediately drove straight to his home and went to his bedroom."

The time was 6.35pm and Mandela's condition was clearly at a new low. "I could confirm this wasn't the Madiba we've seen since he went into hospital. He was sleeping with no life support machine. You could hear from his breathing that he was struggling.

"Winnie and Graça were at the bedside of Madiba. You could see the tension. I bowed to acknowledge them then gave myself a moment of silence with Madiba. [I] said thank you to the doctors and then left at 6.50pm for another engagement."

Conditioned mind
At that point Holomisa did not realise he would never see his mentor again. "I was still in a state of denial. He's still fighting, but it was not to be. I was not that shocked when he died because I had just seen him. My mind was conditioned from the time I received the call."

The national outpouring of song and dance in honour of Mandela's life moved Holomisa, who remained close to him despite being expelled from the ANC and setting up the rival United Democratic Movement.

"It [Mandela's passing] reminds me of the day Mandela was released or, after his election, the day we inaugurated him as president. The mood is one of celebration and he would appreciate it as typical of him," said Holomisa.

Dali Tambo, son of Mandela's friend and ally Oliver Tambo, was woken by his son with the news at around midnight on Thursday. He then went to Mandela's home to find Machel, Madikizela-Mandela and other family members, relatives of the late Walter Sisulu, as well as President Jacob Zuma and several government ministers.

"There was a prayer and a hymn," he said. "The leadership consulted with the family about arrangements. The body was brought down and taken to a morgue. It was very sad, very sombre. It's always a hard experience for the family when the deceased leaves. I remember with my father, we had an argument about wanting him to stay longer. It's like a full stop."

Members of the public were gathering outside the high walls of the home in a tree-lined suburb, lighting candles and singing liberation-era songs. Tambo added: "You could hear the crowd. It was beautiful and spontaneous. They were [the] first who'd heard the news and had rushed there. They were emotional. My last words to a group of ANC people who asked me to toyi-toyi with them were, 'I'm going to bed'."

Casket
Sunday Times reported that Mandela's daughter Makaziwe and grandson Mandla were also at his deathbed. Grandson Mandla Mandela had been urgently summoned from Mvezo in Eastern Cape province early on Thursday morning. Nelson Mandela's daughters from his marriage to Madikizela-Mandela, Zindzi and Zenani, were both in London for the royal premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and left the screening for the first flight home.

The military arrived with a casket to collect Mandela's body at about midnight so it could be taken to a military hospital in the capital, Pretoria, where it will lie in state this week. As the casket left draped in the South African national flag, Mandla Mandela sang his grandfather's praises with the words, "Aah Dalibunga" and was joined by family members and political leaders, the paper reported.

According to the City Press, it was Tuesday night when Zuma learned of Mandela's deteriorating condition and that his death was imminent. "On Wednesday, word came from his house in Houghton that his already critical condition had worsened," the paper said. "He was fading fast. Mandela had not spoken a single word for months.

"On Thursday night, he was entering the final moments of his life. His former wife, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, was there and preparing to stay overnight. Those in the house speak of an overwhelming sadness that engulfed it. Family members were allowed into his room in pairs or in threes and allowed private moments with him."

The paper cited different sources making different claims about the cause of death including fluid on the lungs, a serious infection that was antibiotic resistant, and blood pressure that dropped too low. On Sunday the presidential spokesperson Mac Maharaj did not respond to requests for comment. – © Guardian News and Media 2013
irrelevant long stories as usual. dumb maggot.

your hero was nothing but a western puppet who served western agendas and winnie rightly agrees.

Winnie Mandela have this to say on her late Ex-Husband!!
"He agreed to a bad deal for the blacks. Economically, we
are still on the outside. The economy is very much
'white' , It has a few token blacks, but so many who gave
their life in the struggle have died unrewarded."
Whilst Mandela was serving his long terms in jail, Winnie
was busy getting arrested, tortured, by the Apartheid
Government due to her non-stop agitation!!!
She also mentioned that she couldn't forgive him for
accepting a Nobel Peace Prize from the people who put
him in jail in the first place!!!

yea. three space junks you call satelites. and an ice cube with a limited capability to monitor space weather. good for you.
but Nigeria has a bigger ambition.

Efforts to Revive South African SumbandilaSat Abandoned

SumbandilaSat, a South African Earth
observation microsatellite, ceased to function due
to damage it sustained during a solar storm in
June 2010. During the storm, the power supply
to the satellite’s onboard computer failed, and
consequently, the satellite stopped transmitting
images to the ground. The satellite’s developer,
SunSpace, has abandoned efforts to revive the
100 million USD satellite, and has announced it
is moving on to other projects.
Ron Oliver, the head of Business Development at
Sunspace, told defenceWeb that although they
haven’t lost contact with the 81-kg satellite, as
it is now unable to perform observations it is
“not fulfilling its main purpose,” and said that
there was “virtually zero” chance of restoring the
satellite to working condition. Hans Van De
Groenendaal, feature editor at EngineerIT, pointed
to outdated technology and a 3-year wait on the
shelf prior to launch as likely contributors to the
failure.
Although the satellite is no longer operating, De
Groenendaal described the SumbandilaSat
mission as a success, taking over 1200 images
during its brief 2-year lifetime, including pictures
of flooding in Namibia, post-tsunami Japan, and
fire scars in South Africa’s Kruger National Park.
Oliver claims that the satellite had returned
nearly six times the initial investment, in addition
to the numerous social benefits it had provided
in terms of development of South Africa’s
burgeoning space program. The onboard radio
transponder and digitalker are still operational,
and can continue to be used be amateur radio
enthusiasts worldwide.
SumbandilaSat was South Africa’s second
satellite, intended to demonstrate technologies
such as image processing methods and mission
control systems to be used on further South
African satellites. Although it was originally
planned to be launched from a Russian naval
submarine in 2007, it was finally launched in
September 2009, riding along with METEOR M1
and a number of other small satellites atop a
Soyuz 2-1b. Shortly after its launch, two of
SumbandilaSat’s momentum wheels were
damaged by radiation, resulting in a loss of
attitude control. It was again damaged during
the June 2010 solar storm, and stopped
transmitting images to the ground.

DictatorZAR: Since when has one soldier become "soldiers".

Now my ignorant fool your country dont even have wild animal to protect anymore all of them eaten by 170m poor souls.

Does Nigeria even have a trans national park that can compare to Kruger.

Mike..ZA:
NIGERIA IS JOKE 1. Majority of Nigerians use generators, yet feel like the government is doing enough for them. 4000MW for a 150 million? 2. On some humour: 77% of Nigerian women bleach their skin. 3. Boko Haram is still going 7 months after massive troops were poured to the north.
4. and you are still acting like a gorilla on heat grin
