Let me be sincere with you Christian Obodo was very good but over-hyped. A player peeps were already comparing to Okocha. He was injury free at the earlier part of his career at Least for the first two years of his SE career. Him no near Jay-jay abeg.

Na u dey compare him with Pa Jay oo, Andy was primarily a defensive midfielder by trade though adept with the CM due to his propensity to surge forward wt the ball at his feet, plus his ability to glide pass opponents with ease, all thanks to his avalanche of skills, so he had nothing to drag with Okocha. A fit Obodo benched everything we had in the midfield bar Okocha. Dude was so gifted. Who wan bench am sef? Olofinjana?

In Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, I see my young promising Onyekachi Apam. Both are similar players though Koulibaly has really polished his game over the last two years

Ndubuisi Obodo didn't really have a good national team career.

His case was almost like that of Joel Obi.

Obodo was the new Okocha but he didn't really live up to expectations.

Obodo, Ogbeche and Justice Christopher were part of the 2001 Flying Eagles that couldnt qualify from the AYC group stage after all the hypes about how Stars studded the team was.

Yes they couldn't qualify buh Andy was the standout player. I blame Keshi for their failure.

About his Eagles career, he would have done better if he had stayed injury free. U cant fault him for that. Chris was the reason Muntari made it at Udinese. He was that good

The NFF did not give us good coaches that period.

That team was highly gifted with quality players. That defense had Taiwo, Yobo, Apam/Ambrose and Odiah in defense. The Midfield had Okocha, Obodo, Kalu Uche, Oruma, Olofijana, Ayila and young Mikel. Kanu was an AM/ SS. We used strikers as wingers in Osaze, Utaka, Nsofor while Yakubu, Martins and Uche took their turns to play CF/SS

Onyekachi Apam, another talent ruined by injuries. At some point, Onyi was the only super Eagle with a captain armband in his European club, Nice in the ligue1

Bro na injuries ruin Andy Obodo just as it has ruined Joel Obi, who also was super talented before the unfortunate injuries. Obodo was so good, Italy wanted to cap him even though he was already a Nigerian youth International. He left Platue United to set the Serie A ablaze with Perugia and all the big teams in Italy and abroad were scrambling for his siggy.

At 31-32 his brother Kalu was tearing the Turkish league apart for newly promoted kasimpasa. At 34-35, same Kalu was banging in goals for Levante where our darling Simon Moses is a bench warmer now.

We once had strikers. Imagine that Ike Uche, Yakubu, Utaka, Martins, Osaze and Nsofor were in the Eagles at the same time. If we can even have one striker in the current Eagles with a form equal to any of these.

These strikers once had the best midfielders behind them, yet couldn't get any medal. Imagine Okocha and Obodo of Perugia, Fiorentina and Udinese behind those strikers at some point and we still got our ass whipped by Drogba and co.

Seems u stock in ancient style of football. This age of soccer, wingers are played opposite their preferred foot unless u have a Drogba who feeds on crosses. Kalu wouldn't have scored those curlers with his left foot if he was played on the right hand side. Salah, Ronaldo, Chukwueze, Ojo, Balde etc wouldnt give u 100 percent playing on the wings that literarily corresponds with their preffered foot. Modern wingers, otherwise known as inverted wingers are required to cut in most of the time to score, lift the ball for the strikers or give defense splitting passes. Whipping in crosses ala the eras of Finidi aint really no sine-qua-nons of a good winger(s) today.

In a better society I wouldn't have to be wasting my vote on candidates like Atiku and/or Buhari, total failures they are and they have shown that over and again. However as it is now we have to decide between the two, we essentially run a two party system in Nigeria, Moghalu is just like an independent candidate in the US, winning is impossible.

That is the sorry state of our country now.

Now let me ask you, if you earn 30k a month and you have a nasal issue, say nasal polyps and the surgery required would cost nothing less than 300k in a standard private hospital and you already know that there is absolutely no health insurance for you, if, say you work in a scholarship board, and someone comes to you in that period with a bribe of 300k wouldn't you collect it? I personally wouldn't but if you collect it then you have absolutely every right to. How can you be fighting corruption when the common man doesn't have access to three square meals a day? Stealing and corruption then becomes a necessity to survive. Corruption can only be defeated in a well developed economy, you can't leave the standard of living of the people and then start fighting corruption it is a total scam.

Like I said in a standard society, the main flag bearers should be guys like Moghalu, Peter Obi and Osibanjo and the fact that we have to be choosing between Buhari and Atiku shoes where we will remain in four years time
