I still maintain that Enyeama, Ikeme and Uzoho will be our three goalkeepers in Russia

That one slot at the defense, belongs to..., don't say I didn't tell u. This is so confidential but I just have to break it, talk is at advanced stage with him and he's given Rohr his words that if he remains injury free, he would honor a call up. Nff wouldn't wanna repeat same mistake that's why they have kept a sealed lip

At the midfield, it will be a fit Joel Obi and Iwobi. Iwobi won't be listed as a forward.

Forwards ; onyekuru will take the place of iwobi who I just took back to where he truly belongs while d remaining slot will be a battle between a fit Bazee and a rejuvenated Success Isaac. Rohr is so crazy about these two guys but while one has bn so unlucky with injuries, the other has been an unserious fellow though with an immense talent.

Lol let's not bring in this tribal thing again when discussing these issues with oga forgiveness. l think he also clamours for joel obi with same passion.
Just Saying though.
lf I'm not mistaken, Celestine Babayaro is not from a different tribe as well.
Don't let the name "babayaro'' deceive you bro. The Irokas known as babayaros are from Imo state. They adopted the name" babayaro " for a reason best known to them because they were born and brought up in kaduna state, and they are better for it since Emmanuel is the kaduna state FA chairman.

Read this excerpt from his mum's death gotten from pulse Nigeria ;

Emmanuel who is currently chairman of Kaduna
revealed that his mum died in their hometown
of Owerri, Imo State.

“She died died on Sunday at our hometown in
Owerri, Imo State,” the former goalkeeper told
Pulse Sports .
“She died after a brief illness but we still thank
God for her life. We will release information about
her funeral plans.”

Alot of people in the UK are making comments about our game vs Argentina yestarday.
See on of them:
"Exciting young Nigerian team which has
continue to improve. This team will do great at the world cup, they played without Victor Moses and Orion Ighalo that are vital to them yet convincingly defeated an Argentine team that is only without Messi. The Nigerian goalkeeper in the 1st half was a joke though. It is better to play in this team than in the English team where mediocrity is being celebrated and psychological fragility is down to their core. Imagine all the hype around drawing Germany and Brazil at home."

EXCLUSIVE: Akpeyi, Mikel Return As Super Eagles Play 3-5-2 Vs Russia 27 November 14, 2017 8:46 am
By Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will deploy a 3-5-2 formation when his side face Argentina in Tuesday’s friendly at the Krasnodar Stadium, Completesportsnigeria.com has been exclusively informed. Rohr is expected to deploy Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem in a three-man central defence alongside Leon Balogun and William Troost Ekong, a source within the Super Eagles camp told Completesportsnigeria.com. Chippa United’s Daniel Akpeyi will return in goal for the Super Eagles after missing the last four games, with the pair of Ola Aina and Shehu Abdulahi playing as wing-backs. In midfield, captain Mikel Obi will return to the starting line-up after he was rested for the inconsequential World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Constantine last Friday. Mikel is set for his 80th international appearance for the Super Eagles. Mikel will play alongside John Ogu, who scored that brilliant goal against Algeria, and Leicester City’s combative midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in midfield. Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho are expected to pair in attack barring any last minute change. Nigeria have won only one game in seven senior meetings against Argentina since 1994 to date. Super Eagles X1: Akpeyi Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Awaziem Abdullahi, Mikel, Ndidi, Ogu, Aina Iheanacho, Iwobi

It's academic if you have a team of 18 foreign born players, you will become lazy to develop the home talents. What's the point developing them, when you have an easy way out with the foreign born /developed players?
This becomes a problem when you need to freshen up the team. You have no fall back option, no framework for sustainable development. This could take a full 10 years to reset the system once again.
Ur message is clear and only a dummy would try to misconstrue it. Yes u ain't against bringing in the foreign borns /groomed but then, u also wouldn't want us to overlook those measures that gave birth to our great local players because if we focus only on bringing in the foreign breeds while neglecting the schemes( our league, grassroots etc) that supplies us with talents on daily basis, at the long run, we will suffer for it. This is what I can deduce from ur message.

Now the question is, are we doing enough on the local scene in terms of breeding talents?

Whether the foreign players are better than our local made is a debate for another day. When the time is right for this debate, next question will be "what do we do to produce local players as good as their foreign born counterparts because, of course, there are enormous talents down here?"

Seriously, Uzoho has come a long way. It's really so funny the dimensions his journey and growth took before he got where he is today. To those in awe of his abilities with his foot please read this crazy excerpt from his wiki page

" Born in Nwangele , [1] Uzoho joined Qatari
Aspire Academy in 2013, aged 14; INITIALLY A
FORWARD , he was CONVERTED into a GOALKEEPER
after being deemed "too slow" at the age of
12. [3] In 2016, after impressing on a
tournament in Barcelona, he joined Deportivo
de La Coruña's Juvenil squad. [3]"

The words in caps got me really, I avnt read something so queer on a player's profile in long while.

Anyone think Samuel Kalu of Gent would be a good addition to the team?
I reckon he is better than our Present right backs, an additional plus is the fact that he is originally a left back, making him a good utility player.
Not one to buy into hyperbole, but after watching his videos, and reading reviews of him I believe himself and Olanrewaju Kayode of Girona should definitely be invited to the national team!
When u think uv seen it all... Remember Paul Onuachu right? He also deserves a call up as a center back because Balo-Kong need quality competition.

DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA
COACH – WHY EAGLES
NEWBIE UZOHO WAS
DEMOTED TO B TEAM

Coach of Spanish La-Liga side Deportivo La
Coruna has explained the reason why newly
invited Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Odinaka
Uzoho was demoted to the B team of the La-
Liga outfit.
Uzoho kept goal in back to back La-Liga game
under sacked coach Pepe Mel but since the
appointment of Cristobal Parralo in caretaker
capacity Uzoho has failed to make the
matchday squad.
Parralo has settled for the experienced duo of
Przemyslaw Tyton and Costel Pantilimon, while
the Nigerian has been demoted back to the B
team who are campaigning in the third division
in Spain.

” The team is in a difficult situation right now,
and the coach feels it’s not the RIGHT TIME TO
THROW IN AN 18 YEAR old AT THE DEEP END”,
Spanish journalist Jonas told
Owngoalnigeria.com.

” He was asked about the demotion of Uzoho, I
think in one of his pre match conference shortly
after Uzoho was called up to the senior national
team of Nigeria and his explanation was same
like I said EARLIER.

” AT 18 HE HAS DONE WELL TO PROGRESS TO THE FIRST TEAM AFTER JUST SIX MONTHS MONTHS AT THE CLUB , NICE FOOTWORK AND GOOD REFLEXES BUT LANGUAGE IS A BIG BARRIER FOR HIM , because his Spanish isn’t UP THERE YET, and as you know COMMUNICATION IS KEY BETWEEN GOALKEEPER and DEFENDERS".

your question is hypothetical. You are not basing it on current events

If it were on current events, I doubt we would still need Alampasu to play for us even if he becomes the first choice goalie of a third division Portuguese team. W have an 18-year old who plays for a Spanish first division team, so why will we drag Alampasu with Togo who obviously need him more?

I repeat, we no dey find goalie and even if we are, no be Alampasu.

So when Aluko made the commitment to play for Nigeria. How was he treated for all his undying patriotism.

This problem is not about your definition of patriotism.

But the very thing you wish to present as best is at the heart of the matter. I have been involved with NFF recruitment drives in the UK after one engagement I withdrew, the depth of depraved shameless corruption was too much for my palate to take.

They really wanted desperate boys who with thier Nigerian patriotic agents were prepared to settle. Most of the quality English kids withdrew sometimes at the insistence of thier undiluted full blooded Nigerian parents.

Tega situation is unique he is the number 1 young striker in the premiership. All eyes are on him, he can't win and either way he looses. Huge pressure was brought to bear on him.

If he chose Nigeria the backlash would have been unprecedented in England I assure you. He rejects Nigeria the backlash has already started, he simply cannot win. I really believed be was going to choose Nigeria. I just didn't expect this degree of pressure on him.

His profile has skyrocketed and Amaju should have been far more covert in his approach.

But wait oo, nobody wan answer me dis qstn, how would u av felt if Alampasu had dumped us for Togo during the last AFCON since he is of Togolese descent and we didn't make it to the Afcon?

Also how would u feel if Alampasu won his first team spot tomorrow at Feirence and realises that his chances to rep naija in Russia would be slim, then suddenly, he decided to ditch Nigeria for Togo if Togo had qualified as well?

He would be something next to or even worse than an ingrate and traitor before us abi?
And our reason?
*He was brought through the Nigerian system, Nigeria gave him and his family life else mayb dey would av bn dead of hunger somewhere in Togo (u know how we brag as per our oyel money), NFF invested so much on him etc.

Do onto others as u would want them onto u. Tammy is the FA's investment not the NFF's. Allow them (FA) the reward of their Labour. As long as we want English bred stars we should remain content as the fall back options unless we have some Bentalabs (who kicked away the fortunes that comes from representing France, for his love for mother Algeria) in England. England will always be the shark and Nigeria the remora as far as Anglo-Nigerian players are concerned. We wll always feed from the scrubs (the akpans, Aluko, Ameobis) while they take the chunks Allis, Tammys.

I disagree with you, he actually doesn't need to watch him. He is playing in a league ranked 30 in Europe in a team that's third from bottom smack bang in the relegation zone.

If he was that good he would not be in the Norwegian league playing for a bottom club.

Do you think it's only in Nigeria that we have scouts. All the scouting teams across Europe nobody saw him. But some how the Nigerian scouting team has four eyes with X-ray vision and found him worthy more than the hundreds if not thousands of Nigerian players playing in far better teams and leagues across the World.

I know players who have left those Nordic league to come and play non- league not national Vanarama I mean non - league. That's how lowly it is considered particularly if you are not playing for the top teams in those league.

In an earlier post you said you were celebrating this call up. What's there to celebrate, the enthronement of mediocrityhuh The circumventing of acceptable quantifiable measurement of quality standards and ability for subjective personal preference.

Once you loose objective structure you open yourself to corrupt and sharp practices. You then murder equity and fair play in cold blood in broad daylight.

Whether he does well or not is entirely irrelevant.

It's like someone bypassing JAMB didn't even take the test then gets in without the pre- requisite qualifications ( has 2 O/levels). However, the individual studies hard and graduates with a first class degree.

Therefore the end justifies the means and that's OK. to youhuh Sorry in my book that's corruption and cheating. Particularly as all those who had far greater merit were bypassed and therefore missed out on that university opportunity.

I took some time out to see and study the videos of this right back prodigy at Roma. My verdict; that boy [Nura Abdullahi] is another Awaziem, he's got the talent but all what is left is the opportunity to showcase it plus his past injury worries. A loan move to any midtable team in the seria - A by January, and he will be up there seriously vying for a place in our world cup squad. His handlers need to act fast.
