Now you have changed it to rarely thank God we're making progress. Well the reason why it's 'rarely' deployed now is because PMB has decided to act like a democrat. You seriously think he couldn't have removed Fayose and Wike if he wanted to? donstan18: |
Guy did you read the links? All this whattaboutism to dodge the answer staring you in the face. Was Ihedioha impeached? If I used the example of Ngige you would have had a point because there were rumors OBJ wanted him removed but his was a court judgment. All these guys I posted links for where removed in a mago mago way (won't lie I supported OBJ for this action) with the police being used as instruments to carry out the fait accompli because he knew the governors could mobilize support to twart the impeachment. GEJ tried that stunt with Ameachi using the then police commissioner Mbu but e no know say Rotimi himself na proper. Honestly many of the current governors don't know what they are enjoying under PMB because the kind stunts wey some of them they pull they won't have tried it under OBJ. Can you imagine Edo governor Obaseki locking out opposition members from the state assembly and OBJ will just be looking at you? donstan18: |
Sigh https://saharareporters.com/2006/11/13/governor-joshua-dariye-impeached https://thenationonlineng.net/2006-impeachment-saga-darkest-moment-of-my-life-fayose/ https://www.nairaland.com/3707/bayelsa-state-dsp-alamieyeseigha-impeached These are just few examples donstan18: |
You have answered the question. FG wants to get rid of IPOB, Wike wants to get rid of IPOB isn't it logical they would give Wike full support to get the job done? No be Buhari ban IPOB before? But let Wike try and use police to harass APC members in Rivers then you will know what's up. donstan18: |
I believe you must be a young guy in your early to mid-twenties for you to have mentioned the bold because no one who was old enough during the OBJ days would say that. donstan18: |
Police answers to Abuja. Just because the FG government looks the other way doesn't change that fact. If the state has so much control over the police in their domain what stopped the police in Benue from stopping herdsmen killing that year shebi the governor controls them? donstan18: |
Nobody is sure of anything but as a logical human being I go by evidence to come to my conclusion. If Harverzt ends up only scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists at the end of the season no jupiter will then come and say he's a generational talent because certain chelsea fans said so ![]() donstan18: |
Whether state government is in the know or not FG is still in charge. As a policeman you might enjoy favours in the state you're posted to but it's FG that will determine how your career will pan out. At the end of the day power pass power. There's no way even if there was an attempted cover up on Tinubu's part that OBJ won't have deployed his full federal might including police to deal with him. In football terms that's akin to a tap in 2 inches out. donstan18: |
We're talking police matter you're mentioning court ![]() Is Presidency in charge of judiciary? donstan18: |
So I should say he did commit murder when there's no remotely clear evidence he did? So I'm a good citizen if I believe a politician did something wrong when evidence suggests otherwise? donstan18: |
You can't compare PMB to OBJ. When it came to dealing with governors OBJ was a tyrant. Fayose, Dariye are just a few governors that can testify to OBJ's ruthlessness. Someone that will get police to barricade state assembly buildings so that 3-6 members will impeach a governor he doesn't like. So because PMB is doing democrat with Wike you think he can't deal with him? What stops the IGP from changing police commissioner? How did weak GEJ show Ameachi that year? Was it not police? Army that Ameachi used in 2019 wasn't Wike crying up and down? PMB just respects governors that's all nothing stops him from using police to treat your f-up. donstan18: |
It's not a low key thing it's just a clear case of giving a dog a bad name to hang it. One thing I have noticed about Nigerians is that once we have made up our minds about someone especially the one we don't like no evidence on this planet will change your mind. donstan18: |
Federal government controls the police so it doesn't matter under whichever governor it was. donstan18: |
Non of the political parties back then had started serious campaigning. It wasn't like Funsho Williams was a movement who had started to gain popularity. His assassination was totally unexpected because up until that time there was no reason anyone would have wanted him dead. The PDP aspirants were the very first suspects the police picked up. Politics of Lagos was very petty back then with Ogunleye who was a minister under OBJ then using FERMA to harass Lagos state government agencies those were what dominated political discuss then. I don't remember Williams saying anything negative about Tinubu then it was Obanikoro and Ogunleye who were tackling BAT. donstan18: |
Tinubu to all intents and purposes wasn't involved in Funsho's matter he had already conquered Williams politically of what benefit would it be to kill him? It will be like saying Fashola would kill Agbaje when AD/AC/APC was already strong on ground. Dude don't tell me you're taking FFK seriously? Someone that called APC a supporter of APC party which the has shamelessly returned to? How could BAT be involved in Bola Ige's assassination when the incident happened in Ibadan? What did he have to gain? Besides I know from a reputable source that BAT absolutely had no hand in Ige's death. OBJ despised/despises Tinubu. If he had anything on Tinubu he would have used it. GEJ as weak as he was didn't he drag Asiwaju to code of conduct bureau. Guy forget unless there is a smoking gun somewhere the accusations are just your regular political image tarnishing exercise. donstan18: |
My guy till today there are still rumors of Tinubu being linked to one of those Nigerian drug capons back then which neither BAT or anyone from his camp has denied strongly. Like I said he covered his tracks well. The same way he has covered his tracks well since he left office in 2007. I give it to Jagaban he's a very smart man but there's too much comma about the man not to believe he isn't linked to some shady business. GloriousGbola: |
Tinubu also didn't have much motive to kill Funsho Williams. He defeated him in the 1999 AD primaries and the 2003 Governorship elections so Funsho wasn't a serious threat to him to go as far as assassinating him. I think you also overestimate Williams' popularity then. Yes he was a strong figure in Lagos politics but he didn't have such a big followership to defeat Tinubu. Google 'mr no bitumen' and see what comes up. Williams had his own baggage as well. donstan18: |
Even though the drug money laundering case didn't indict Tinubu it would be the height of naivety to believe he wasn't linked to the drug barons in one way or the other. BAT only just managed to cover his tracks. As for Funsho Williams Asiwaju's name never came up. It was Obanikoro and Ogunleye with some others who were arrested during that period. Remember PDP was in power and wanted to capture Lagos at all cost. If OBJ had anything on BAT you can be damned sure he would have used it. Tinubu is many things but I doubt he's a cold blooded killer. Not that I would stick out my neck though you never can tell with politicians. donstan18: |
![]() Abeg if you don't cry you will laugh. Okupe's antecedents have been public knowledge for years now, videos of him and articles everywhere on google but people are surprised? ![]() GloriousGbola: |
The bombings might have been an added factor but the main reason for the SW diving fully into the war effort was the attack on Ore in Ondo State by Biafran forces. We still have to have an honest conversation about the war. Admit our faults and move on as a people. If humanity chose to hold on to past grudges or conflicts then nobody would ever progress. Europeans and Asians have murdered and massacred each other over the past hundreds of year but today they do business with each other. Even a disintegrated Nigeria with each of the component parts going their own way would still have to do business and be on good terms with each other. BlueRayDick: |
It will be a bit unfair to compare Osimhen to Haaland now because Erling right now is on a complete different level to most strikers but most elite strikers like Kane, Mbappe and even Aubameyang have great anticipation like you highlighted. These aforementioned guys despite their pace hardly get caught offside. Their position within the 18-yard box also stands them out. Moffi has a bit of that smart box movement. Look at his goal against Algeria the defender was completely unaware of were Terem was before he got to the ball. If it were Victor he would somehow have gotten offside. Subzero047: |
Other than the fool part I agree with everything the first poster said Osimhen has a lot to improve on when it comes to position and movement. Once he can get that right h will put himself in better scoring positions. Sometimes I also think his timing can be rushed at times. The one or two seconds he could have taken to pick a spot he often wastes with off target shots because he does realize he has more time than he does. His heading is very good almost elite but his movement still needs a lot of work. joelsteron: |
Sir I put it to you that you don't understand math because if you did 1 year and 6 months ago was April 2021 when Moffi had already hit double digits for the season so your Here and Now would have applied but in your usual biased manner you unlooked. Now compare the pedigree of the players Chelsea buys and how many failed to cut it. Terem is not as good as the players who did not make it at Chelsea thats the reality The bold is the frankly ridiculous statement you made which a poster drew your attention to without even doing any research everyone knows this assertion of yours is premium level BS. I can name so many players who have been absolutely poor at Chelsea during the Roman era that without blinking an eyelid Moffi easily surpasses. Moffi scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 still impressive for a striker in his first season in a top flight league but in your usual short-sightedness you're already down playing him without appreciating that he's a young player who can get even better. Like I said earlier there's no need for all this verbal gymnastics you always spew to cover your obvious ignorance just own your bias with your chest and let us here word. komekn: |
Congrats to Osimhen and Onyedika (just about) for qualifying with their teams for the next stage of the Champions League |
I remember interviews on CNN where GEJ and Okonjo-Iweala were grilled why 400,000 barrels of crude were disappearing daily no satisfactory answer was given. The oil industry can only be salvaged when the criminal elements are made to understand it's in everyone's interest to let things work well so that the largesse can go round. I think Raumdeuter put it succinctly using the illustration of cooking a pot of porridge. Prepare enough to cater for 'awon boys' so that they won't distrupt your own operation and their own feeding as well. GloriousGbola: |
Looks like Osimhen might be involved at some point in today's match with Ajax. Saw him training alongside his teammates on the Napoli twitter handle |
In these parts we can't hold 2 opinions at the same time. It must be 'either' 'or' You don't like Obi? Then you're a Yoruba tribalist who has sold his conscience for money You don't like Tinubu? Then you must surely be an IPOB member 'omo ale' or both ![]() Can't wait for february to come soon enough nihilistjnr: |
Exactly! Iwobi lost the ball in the middle of United's half. Everton had enough men behind to have tried and stopped Ronaldo plus the Casemiro pass was dead accurate. Icon79: |
You don't say bruv! You didn't know as of Here and Now 1 year and 6 months ago Moffi had scored 16 goals in ligue 1? The highest number of goals by a Nigerian striker in the french league but you still went ahead to say he wasn't up to par compared to others. Please give it a rest and just own your bias with your chest. komekn: |
ahn ahn this ghen ghen pressing is too much na! nihilistjnr:

The Labour Party twitter handle is dropping serious own goals for their presidential candidate someone needs to get a hand on the password sharpishly |
