The 3rd goal really exposes his mistake but now they have a goal back. And from one of the subs.
Anyway, Ghana to still lose. I don talk am. |

Ghanaians are well coached disciplined and resolute in defense. If they can hang in there in the second half Portugal might tire and begin to make mistakes that they could pounce on.

Was Omehia really ever a factor in River State politics? If not for Wike who decided to give him relevance he should have disappeared long time into political oblivion. Itsrm: I think he made a grave error of judgment and somewhere at the back of his mind, he realises it too.
At the time Wike lost the primaries to Atiku, it looked like PDP was coming back to power. He and his associates felt the smart thing to do was to quickly align with Atiku. In light of recent events, even a toddler knows Atiku wont win. After Tinubus 8 year tenure, power will shift to the North and whoever APC fields will win again.
Where does that leave him? He has burnt the bridge with Wike and is probably hoping to mend fences with Fubara when that one emerges. I don't see it happening.
We just might have seen the end of Omehia as far as politics is concerned. |

Atiku might still be able to pull it off if Okowa, Udom n co run things for him in the SS. But I wonder what is Wike's end game in all this he's doing? If Atiku wins he'll be persona non grata in PDP. BAT wins over Ameachi's dead body would he be allowed anywhere near APC so what's the grand plan other than bad belle politics for its sake? Itsrm: I think he made a grave error of judgment and somewhere at the back of his mind, he realises it too.

I see, Eyesore! that's how I can sum up Cameroon's performance.
High on effort and isan, very low on football brain.
When I saw Choupa Moting being subbed then I knew the Cameroonians had no intention of trying to salvage this match.
A competent team should be putting these Swiss away honestly speaking.
I really fear for Cameroon now because they will be jamming a more quality forwards who won't be as wasteful as Switzerland. |

Very well but they also lack that quality forward who would have helped them get past the Croats. I disagree on the Tunisia beating Croatia bit. If they struggled against a Denmark team that even Ghana defeated I doubt they would have done anything. *modified* My bad mistook Switzerland for Denmark but overall point of my post still stands andrewbaba44: Morocco did well

I haven't scrutinized Atiku maybe I'm backing unifier. I haven't criticized Kola Abiola I guess I'm supporting him too. I haven't spoken about Kwankwaso and Sowore I assume I'm their biggest backer abi? Anyway it's a free world love and light. izzou: [color=royalblue]I did not say you have campaigned for BAT. Abeg read wetin i type well before you call am Agenda
I said i don't blame them for accusing you because you don't scrutinize anyone except Obi.
I have not seen you ask any questions concerning BAT's agenda. But when Obi attends an interview or debate, you drop your opinion.
You can show us where you have scrutized Tinubu's policies and plans if I am lying, but then, you don't owe anybody anything
Kadaria has drilled Obi, and you have said she wasn't biased. I hope to see your comments when BAT appears on the chat, or if he doesn't appear.

Have I actively campaigned for BAT on this forum? If the answer is no then how does critisizing Obi = supporting BAT? You yourself commenting haven't you criticized PO before to the extent someone here questioned if you're Igbo does that mean you're going to vote Tinubu? It's within your rights to be sarcastic but please miss me with the attempted agenda. izzou: [color=royalblue]I really don't blame sha

But why is that so hard to believe? Ok Obi is the best leader that ever liveth happy now? Since it's blind followership you want and not people who can interrogate their leadership. Theflint1: He'll later come and tell you he's a fencist, and has no candidate in the elections. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 8:54am On Nov 23, 2022 |
Chief this is the mistake you and a lot of PO supporters make. You assume that once someone decides to interrogate your candidate's credentials as to the suitability for the office of the president of Nigeria it automatically means you're either backing BAT or Atiku. I have said it countless times that I don't consider any of the top candidates fit for the presidency of Nigeria so I won't be voting for any of them. Now to the meat of your argument are you implying that because you are backing Obi he should get a free pass without being checked to see if he's up to scratch? Using your job interview analogy if only one person shows up for the interview but during the process he hasn't convinced you he's qualified for the job you want to hire him for will you still employ him because he 'showed up' for the interview? See if you're backing Peter Obi as a protest against the political establishment in Nigeria you're well within your rights without having to push him as some kind of genius people are refusing see because they are 'tribalistic', 'unpatriotic', 'supporting other candidates' or whatever is the popular mantra people use to brand PO critics. A40: One person is saying "trust me bro" as you said, what of Atiku and Tinubu that are not even showing up for these events
If you put up a vacancy with 3 shortlisted candidates already selected. Do you hire the one guy that showed up for the interview process and tells you he can do the job or the other two that couldn't even be arsed to come.
Still believe any sincere person will still opt for an Obi ahead of Mr Bulaba blu gugu gaga and Mr Vote for me I'm a Northerner.
Says a lot that you have high standards and expectations for Obi but no scrutiny or standards for the other two dinosaurs |

Was the usual PO performance high on listing facts and figures of Nigerian problems but still lacked anything drastic or specific on how to tackle the issues. From the first half I could already see the Dutch were slightly vulnerable. Don't like dealing in what ifs but maybe Mane would have punished the Netherland's defense with his strength and pace. charlesemeka85: cisse is too conservative

Senegal lack dynamism in attack without Mane although Sarr has been a handful. Defense has held strong.
Dutch lack of quality in attack very obvious although have dominated midfield as expected. Defense looks strangely jittery a times. Senegal could capitalize. Cisse should be a bit brave and send on another forward to play off Sarr. |

I think the awards should go ahead. Yes our national teams have been a disappoint but that doesn't mean individual players haven't excelled this year. National team football shouldn't be the sole determinant of how well our players have done. I believe the awards is a growing brand that needs to be nurtured to become a significant voice of all things Nigerian football and it's consistency that will help keep in it in front view of soccer watchers so I would suggest we go ahead. Kudos to you for putting yourself out there to help keep the awards going. Danielnino00: Gents, Ladies, good evening.
As we all know, it's been rather a bad year for our football..At least mostly... we saw shege here and there...But there were also a few positives too.
In light of this, I'd like the thread's opinion as to whether the annual Nairaland Nigeria football fans award should go ahead this year? And if the thread permits,I'd like to organize the award again this year.
Those in support of the award to go ahead, click like...those against should click share.
Thank you

Some reports I've monitored indicates JP might still go with this 4-4-2 eish.
Bassey is 50/50
Seems Lookman has displaced Chukwueze on the right wing for the foreseeable future.
Interesting to see how our midfield will lineup.
My predicted starting XI:
Uzoho
Osayi, Akpors, Bassey, Ebuehi
Iwobi, Ndidi, Aribo
Lookman, Moffi, Simon
Preferred formation 4-2-3-1 |

Bobby Adekanye! I remember there was a lot of talk around this guy. The last I heard of him was when he joined Lazio I think. Komekn used to hype a few names back then but Lookman was definitely not one of them. That said let's not resort to insults whenever he drops any of his dodgy 'hot takes' ChrisKels: Lol calm down we were already talking about Lookman before Komekn joined the thread. Go to the Olympic thread and the Nigeria cadet threads way back in 2015, no be today. In fact, the moniker "BlackAlbino" was the first to post his news from an article he lifted from ANS. No be today we begin hail the boy, and when Komekn joined he started pushing the agenda of Onyedimma. And like he always does, he talks down on one player to push his choice of player, and that was when he said Lookman was not good enough, and that his move to Everton was an arrangee move, that instead Onyedimma was the real deal, but today the werey wan come dey form talent spotter.
Relax guy, no be today.
Within that period(2014/15) here are the list of players we were discussing - Elohor Ekpolo, Boluwatife Balogun(Barcelona), Bobby Adekanye (Barcelona), Moses Odubanjo(hull-city), Kingsley Ehizibue (ZEC Zwolle), Tyronne Ebuechi (Ado Den Haag), Cedric Omoigui(Valencia), Chima Okoroji(he was formerly in Bayern Munich U19 before moving to FC Augsburg), ademola lookman(charlton-athletic) etc |
