Bro he has almost equaled his best performance Villarreal in any season with far less game time compared to his breakout season.

Infact do you know that all the other wingers that most people listed in their top 10 like Simon, Lookman and Dennis have more game time by far than Chukwueze yet his G+A is not too far from theres.

If we can use game time to defend Osimhen when comparing him to Abraham this season let's not change criteria in Chukwueze's matter too.

Odunayaw:
In his break out season

He hasn't reached that height again and the season is all but ended

Is that the impressive season?

Francophone connection.

Not just CIV but also all the former french colonies in West Africa enjoy easy access to join the French league system especially if you are talented

Odunayaw:
Yeah, some

But if you compare with our own boys, they have a higher number of local boys that go to Europe

10 G+A actually
Odunayaw:
7 G+A is what we are celebrating now

Chief I hope you know he's almost equaled his best ever season stats in terms of goals and assists and has been injured o!

Odunayaw:
Chukwueze had one of his normal seasons...nothing new
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 2:46pm On May 18, 2022
We are talking about this season so no reason to bring up award that was won last year.

Chukwueze had a decent season considering he was coming back from a terrible injury he got towards the end of last term. He just one goal away from equaling his best ever performance so you can't downgrade him just like that.

I never called German farmers league. At least Spain and Germany are rated as part of the 5 best leagues in the world. Please the Belgian league where Onuachu is 'beasting' what's the ranking I want to see something grin

andrewbaba44:
You can talk down on onuachu as you like but the truth is bitter ,no be today ,when he won the Belgian footballer of the year una no Kuku praise am

Chukwueze had a normal season and nothing spectacular ,onuachu is a local champion in Belgium as if chukwueze is giving you Vinicius performance at Laliga grin

Since the Belgium league is easy how many naija player have given you the onuachu performance there ?

The rodrygo and lewa is similar ,Na una Dey always fall Germany league farmers league so it’s very very similar.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 1:47pm On May 18, 2022
The quality of the league and competitions that Chukwueze play's is what ranks in his favor.

The Rodrygo and Lewandowski example is in no way similar. Both play in top rated leagues, both play in highly prestigious competitions

Harsh as it may sound but for now Onuachu is just a local champion in a farmers league like Nwakaeme but at least Tony won a league title.

andrewbaba44:
Scoring a winning goal against Bayern should not push out a consistent performance biko ,don’t bring the farmers league talk here

Not taking anything away from chukwueze ,but common onuachu is ahead this season,if chukwueze had a better goal and assist then I would take him ,I can’t use just a goal against Bayern biko

We should kukuma say rodrygo had a better season than lewandowski since he scored important goals against Chelsea and man city grin
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 12:31pm On May 18, 2022
Onuachu was initially in my top 10 but Dessers' recent performances especially pushing Feyernord to the Europa conference league final changed my mind.

On the face of it it's understandable why you would rate Paul over Chukwueze this season, however the league and european club competitions in which Samuel has performed in puts things in his favor. You have to admit scoring the winning goal against almighty Bayern Munich in the UCL quarter finals trumps scoring against some Belgian farmers week in, week out no matter how consistent

andrewbaba44:
How many place you want put dessers wey you comot onuachu ?

Anyway onuachu had a better season than chukwueze

Exactly what I was thinking doc.
it's a bit of a stretch to say he's 15/16 but he definitely looks u21 to me. Will keep tabs on him.

I think Championship will be good for him. Tough league physically were he can develop without too much pressure or spotlight. EPL is a very brutal league that can quickly expose your deficiencies so it might not have paid Maduka to be involved now. Give him one or two seasons and his game will become more refined.

daveP:
Maduka situation is hilarious

Escape relegation with Sparta but now joining relegated Watford in Championship. Some called it "relegated super eagles team"

I agree 100% stay at Napoli and become an elite striker then he can move.

andrewbaba44:
A big upgrade to Napoli

But he should remain at Napoli biko

What makes Osimhen's performance this season impressive for me is the fact that none of his goals were penalties. Plus I think he should have one of the highest if not highest stats for a player who won a penalty for his team.

He's still not the finished product but his improvement this season can't be denied. He will eat good in the next campaign God willing.

andrewbaba44:
Hopefully

But if e no score no wahala ,the guy too try this season abeg ,upon the injury struggles

18 goals in 31 games and 6 assists ,so fvcking impressive ,dude even average more than 1 goal in every 2 games ,very good ratio

My advice is for him to stay at Napoli next season and showcase the world what he can do at the uefa champions league .

Insigne is leaving for Canada ,Dude should try and collect their PK duties so he will stat pad combined with his goal scoring grin

I meant Osinbajo not Obasanjo

Balogunodua:
Yes...OBJ has what it takes but he is not in the race. As for PYO he is good and fit for the job, but he is too gentle for my liking and might end up like another Jonathan in power...but I might be wrong to take his gentleness for weakness...Let just hope the best candidate picks the ticket.
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by chrisooblog: 6:11pm On May 15, 2022
I honestly think Osinbajo is the closest you can get to that at the moment. Apart from his qualifications and competence the way he talks and interacts with people convinces me he'll be able to do something significant if elected president. Northerners respect and trust him. Even the fiercely anti-PMB don't dislike because of any bad he's done per se, but his association with the present government means he has to get some blame for Buhari poor leadership in some instances.

PYO doesn't have all the ideas or answers to the country's problems I'm sure he knows that but he has the mien and temperament to gather the best minds to work with him to address Nigeria's many ailing problems. He already has a good working relationship with governors which will be important for the future because let's be honest for this country to witness a massive turn around a good chunk of the governors would have to be on the same page with whoever is president to achieve lasting changing. For me as long as Atiku doesn't get to be president it will be a little progress.

Balogunodua:
Where do you think we can get this kind of a leader? With our present system and politicians..who do you think has that quality capable of winning election in this present reality we found ourselves.
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by chrisooblog: 5:06pm On May 15, 2022
Mr man get out and mind your flipping business and stop speaking to issues you have no clue about.

rvp2018:
You want to unite the country by the charisma of a leader?

Why not fix the systemic, structural and constitutional frameworks that makes division and disunity fester. Why not listen to what Ibos are saying and fix their issues for example. Why not have constitutional conference to address such issues. If it sharing natural resources - make a law that address the concern of the people.

You guys are funny for lack of a word - never too serious. You cannot unite a country for long by the charismatic talents of a leader.
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by chrisooblog: 12:53pm On May 15, 2022
Tinubu is a smart and brilliant politician no doubt but I personally think Nigeria needs an inspiring transformative leader who can unite and get everyone moving in the same direction. Asiwaju has his haters and detractors who may seriously hamper his efforts no matter how well intentioned should he become president. His frequent medical enforced visits to the UK also doesn't sit well with me considering what we've gone through with Bubu.

Nigeria doesn't just need economic solutions but someone who can help heal deep sitted wounds and inspire us to better.

Balogunodua:
What you just suggested are wishes far from reality...no one wins an election without structure, election goes beyond ordinary people on the street, there must be connection between the contestants with individual who commands respect within their locality..those capable of influencing votes..this are oligarchs, people of high caliber.. employers, civil servants etc.

You can't change that even in advance countries this is how politics play out...

Osinbajo or Ameachi for me. Tinubu a distant third for me.
GeneralDae:
I have only 3 candidates in mind so far. I can vote any of these 3 while the fourth is a worse case scenario for me. Give me your thoughts and valid opinions.

1) Osinbajo
2) Amaechi
3) Moghalu

4) Peter Obi....Worst case scenario.

I'm not versed with the goings on in the NBA when it comes to player management but like football won't a player getting minutes help him improve on his weaknesses as per Jordan Nwora's defensive issues?

BascoVanVeli:
That was the old excuse but he has clearly made improvements in his defense this season. Plus it is not like Grayson Allen and co are putting the clamps on Tatum and Brown.

I just hope Jordan can click up with Mike Brown in Sacramento cos I don't see him blossoming with coach Bud.

You can't host common CHAN tournament that Rwanda has hosted comfortably but you want to bid for FIFA World Cup.

Shma:
It ain't.

Let's try logic. WC happens after every 4yrs. 4yrs is enough to build a max of 5 world-class stadiums. Nigeria, Ghana, or wherever in the west still haven't secured any bid. So, let's try to check it past 8+ yrs to come for their consideration. By then, I believe Kenya would have built enough stadiums(3yrs is enough for that).

Point number 2: Nairobi is the only city in Africa with a national park. This can aspect alone is more than enough for consideration.

3.... Nature trails And hotels. Outside SA, tell me which country can stand Kenya in that sector?

4... Infrastructure. Nairobi can only be beaten by some North African cities and maybe Joburg and cape town in SA.

Don't forget that Nairobi is the most visitor-friendly in Africa. And the best city to live in is Africa.

Under 20 World athletic event was successfully hosted in Kenya.. So anything is possible.
