Horrible news especially now when they would have begun to catch JPs' eye. The silver lining is that they are both young hopefully their recovery shouldn't take too long. As for SE seems we will still have to make do with Ndidi, Onyeka, Etebo, Aribo and Iwobi for the foreseeable future. TheSuperNerd: ICYMI, Preseason 22/23 Update: Tijani & Onyedika suffer long term injuries ahead of new season. Sad.
20 y/o Samson Tijani and 21 y/o Raphael Onyedika both face lengthy spells on the sidelines due to Injury.
Tijani suffered a fractured tibia and fibula that currently sees him ruled out for the entire new 22/23 season. Suffered it in a Preseason game last Saturday vs Feyenoord.
While, Onyedika saw his achilles tendon ruptured which rules him out for a period of 5-8 months or even a year depending on the severity and progress of recovery with hopefully no relapse. Happened on Saturday as well in a preseason encounter vs Gent.
Sad, really sad news for two of our young Midfield prodigies in Europe ahead of the new season. |

Honestly I completely agree with most people's sentiments that the APC administration has failed in the most important sectors so it would be morally wrong to hand them the reins of the presidency next year. The dilemma for me is the proposed people who want to take over don't exactly feel me with confidence. Atiku is part of the old guard that caused our current situation. Obi plenty talk less substance. Don't ever the electorate next year cus however you pick is fraught with risk. izzou: I can understand Larride supporting APC. Na Party Guy.
But Oasis007 no be Party guy. The country dey bite two of us together. No matter how you rate Tinubu, he has to work with the useless and incompetent system he met there.
Shettima wey BokoHaram overrun him tenure na him dey competent?
Obi is just like them Atiku is the same too
We have tried APC. E no work. Make we try another person |

Yes you're right BAT no doubt had links to the drug cartels during his time in the US. Unfortunately Hundeyin didn't bring anything new in his supposed 'expose' just a case of throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Don't really expect that report to change people's minds really. At this point almost everyone has made their choice it will just a matter of how many of your people can you mobilize to deliver votes and in that regard Tinubu is already ahead not wasting time speaking grammar and bellyaching on twitter. Android17: I have no doubt that BAT was an accomplice in helping to launder money. But I think the person you are debating with is also right in stating that they had no evidence against him just for having huge chunks of money deposited in his account. He was able to explain away 1M USD but knew he could not say much about the 460K so he forfeited it. If the FBI had evidence proving that he was involved, they'll have confiscated the entire 1.46M USD. So technically, the 460K confiscated was like for evading taxes - not for money laundering simply because it wasn't proven in court. |

Bro the irony is you're also doing the bold you're grandstanding about. All the candidates have baggage so it's best you just campaign calmly for your lesser evil, because if you start with the moral high ground eish you will only muddle the waters. donjazet: Of course, an average Nigerian would bring out the time and devout energy to defend an indicted criminal. Ohh my nigeria!!
Ask yourself, is the party agent fighting for you? Does the party agent have your own interest at heart? Has the party agent come out to openly criticize his party and the total failure his party has endowed upon Nigeria and it's people?
Does this party agent mean well for you when he desires this failed party to retain power? Soo many questions for a soul for hire. |

The point he's making is Buhari even after receiving back-back-back Ls still made sure he chose a VP that reflected national sentiments based on religion. Why do you think he rejected Tinubu as VP candidate in 2015 even though the latter had more political clout than PYO? Anyway the selection has been made I'm just curious to see how this experiment by BAT will play out. raumdeuter: Because he didnt want to change the VP who was working for him.
Now if the choice of Christian VP did not make some people vote APC, what difference will it make in their votes if they choose a Moslem VP.
Note, their intention is to win elections not pander to those who would not have voted them regardless even if they picked CAN president as running mate |

Shettima as a person is ok. He's not your extremist type muslim he's urbane and looks nationalist in outlook. Unfortunately in the Nigerian context that's where the positives end. Southern christians will most definitely not be having it. Not sure how Tinubu will be able to get 70% in the SW when more than half of the electorate are christians but we will see. Peter Obi had better eat humble pie and drop down for Atiku, because divided votes might still play into BAT's favour. raumdeuter: Shettima is it.
Now let the contest begin |

other than serving as a means to provide alternative power for generators how much does petrol really contribute to farm produce transportation? I've seen some analysis as to why foodstuff in markets cost so much and one of the main culprits was the high price of diesel. So in practical terms how will subsidy removal really cause cost of leaving to spiral when it doesn't factor much in transportation of agricultural produce? Ibime: The crux of the matter. Fuel subsidy is the only social support Nigeria gives to its citizens.
Also the cost of transportation can make up to 50 to 80% of the cost of basic agricultural foods that poor Nigerians eat, reason why you can buy items in the North and Middle Belt for 1/3rd to 1/2 the price in the South. Whereas cost of transportation will be like 5% of the input cost in the Western world where cost of labour is the big input cost. So the inflationary effect on Nigerians will be dire, hence economic models that say subsidies are inefficient are applicable to the Western world but as far as Nigeria, it will lead to unimaginable suffering and social turmoil if subsidy is lifted. |

Guy the bold is like saying Man City will never be bigger than Nottingham Forest because they haven't won the UCL. Dumping CL football to go and play for a down on your luck Man U is not an exciting prospect. If you have been ''watching football for the past 5 years' you would know this. charlesemeka85: and united isn’t a bigger team than Napoli and will miss playing in the ucl for 10 seasons? Oga no be una fault
Even if Napoli wins the ucl they will never be in the same grade as man united
Maybe u start to Dey watch football 5 years ago |

True but Napoli was a bigger team with prospects besides Osimhen was keen to stay but the Lille higher ups decided to cash out. Plus it's one thing to miss one season of CL but one or two year absence is a bit much. Now if he joins Man U that's 3 for not good for a player with such a rising profile. charlesemeka85: he would hv remained in Lille then since football ends in the ucl. I remember when he joined left Lille napoli didn’t qualify for the ucl that season |

PSG are not interested according to reports. Most likely Chelsea or Bayern for CR7, but because of his love and respect for United Munich will most likely be his next destination considering he hasn't played in Germany before. charlesemeka85: Napoli, psg,Chelsea and Bayern are interested in cr7 and hv already sounded out his agent
I doubt cr7 will pick Napoli and Chelsea but likely to join Bayern or at worst psg |

The truth is if you want to market yourself as one of the best up and coming strikers in the world then the CL is a great platform to show your capabilities. I still think there are areas in his game that still need ironing out before going to a high pressure and unforgiving league like the EPL. charlesemeka85: you guys talk as if football ends in the ucl. He is young and still hv many years to feature in the ucl. If man united declares interest in him and willing to pay Napoli any amount they demand with better pay package to Victor he will move to Manchester without hesitation
The only hinderance I perceive if united re truly interested in him will be napoli’s demands |

Part of me wouldn't mind Victor going to Man U. If only to see the look on the face of Warri Southgate after he claimed years ago that Osimhen would only be good enough for youth teams of lower division clubs I'm sure Victor won't go for now boy has to showcase himself in UCL. charlesemeka85: Osimhen tipped as one of the possible replacements for want away man united striker cr7 |

Fantastic news best move of his career in my opinion. Pray he utilizes it well and everything works out for him. charlesemeka85: Super Eagles forward, Chidera Ejuke is set for a move to Hertha Berlin on loan, according to Bild.
Ejuke scored five goals and five assists last season and helped CSKA finish in a respectable position on the log.
With former Dinamo Moscow coach, Sandro Schwarz joining Hertha Berlin, he considered the Super Eagles winger as one of his transfer targets.
Per Bild, Ejuke has given Schwarz his word and will play the next year at the capital club on a contract that has no provision for a permanent move.
Ejuke is one of the most exciting wingers in European football and has a reputation for his runs and dribbles.
His career has however not taken the lights yet as a move to Russia hasn’t panned out exactly as he would desire.
The former Heerenveen star will however have a chance to star in a major European league next season in the Bundesliga. |
